This restaurant is deeply connected to it's community. My favorite part was it's atmosphere. You'll see pictures on the wall of people who come here. I loved that. I ordered chicken wings with pork fried rice as they have a sign that says best wings in town. For me the wings were fried to hard and taste was average. Fried rice pretty standard. Overall a good restaurant plenty of space to sit. Glad I stopped by

Ordered delivery today, the order status was supposed to be delivered by 745pm/ ordered at 6:48pm. The order came around 7:07pm, the food looked old/tasted horrible. My boy's threw up after eating, complained of a stomach ache. 😡🤬😭 Usually when we order the food is good, not sure what happened today but ZERO stars, I wouldn't suggest anyone eating there today. YUCK 🤮🤢

I called in my order and was asked to give my number for the order and was promptly mocked because of my voice. I found it extremely rude and disrespectful. How are you supposed to run a business having such a bad attitude on the phone and in person.The food is really good but I will never be going back again.

This is my first time ordering and I won't be back. I ordered 3 chicken wings... This is what I received.. look at the pic... 3 1/2 of a wing lol I had to laugh. You got me but never again. The rice puc is attached. Hoyse fried rice. The chicken had an after taste and smell. If you ever had Sheetz wings, you know what I am talking about. The rice wasn't good; so if you wrote a review and said the food was good, I beg to differ. If I didn't initiate please and thank you, her mouth would have stayed clamped shut.

Decent Chinese food. We’ve had Grand China food over the years and it is a family favorite. The service was friendly and attentive during our dining today. The only thing that needs improvement is they need to call by order number or name since many people order same items. Overall, bathrooms were clean and food was hot and fresh. We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Chicken Wings, Shrimp, and Hot and Sour soup. Nice experience overall.

I have never had egg foo yong vegetable with mushrooms, onions, and a bunch of broccoli. It was disgusting. They should tell people that that is what they’re gonna use for vegetables for vegetable egg foo yong. I will never eat there again. and the boss just look at you like you’re stupid instead of having Customer Service didn’t want to give me my money back either so this is why I’m doing this review. The food was disgusting. They gave me chicken fried rice three pieces of chicken in it. Disgusting like I said, I will not go back there again

I have to give this place 3 stars for half effort. I told the person on the phone that I didn't want onions, I heard them tell kitchen staff and the ticket even said no onions, but what do you know I had onions. The delivery driver was quick and considerate with the food. However this sesame chicken tasted old like buffet food would, and wasn't very flavorful. The rice was decent enough.

We came to visit and was referred to this establishment! The shrimp fried rice had only 5 shrimp with a ton of rice, the won ton soup was old soggy and doughy! We know what good Chinese food look and taste like ! Your restaurant in those 2 items SUCK !!!!!! And your cashier the one that answers the phone was rude as hell ! What a way to experience Greensboro!!!!!! I would not recommend anyone to your restaurant

I have been feeling guilty the last few weeks that I had not done a Yelp review in a while and so Jewish guilt took over and I decided today to go to a new Chinese takeout to break out of my box and have something to write about! I searched around on Yelp, and although it had mixed reviews, the positive reviews were so positive that I decided to give Grand China a shot. It was also less than 10 minutes from my house and I thought this could be a great alternative for Chinese takeout in the future. It was an easy ride heading up Yanceyville, making a right on Cone and pulling into the shopping center. I have passed that shopping center before and it's a little shady, to be honest. Once I pulled into the shopping center I saw there were indeed some establishments that were welcoming, but in general, it could definitely use some TLC. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. The place was much bigger than I thought. It seemed like it is well established since there was an entire wall covered with photos of past customers. It all felt very inviting. Definitely a place I would sit down and eat my meal. The place was very clean, they had a soda fountain, some games for the kids and when I arrived my order was ready. Lady at the counter was extremely friendly. She was very helpful and when I asked her if the wonton soup came with crispy noodles, she told me it comes with two bags of crispy noodles because I ordered a large wonton soup. That made me so happy! I asked for some soy sauce, took my bags and headed home with anticipation to try my new Chinese food. Things went kind of downhill from there. The egg roll was very tiny and did not have much to it other than the outer fried casing. The wonton soup had a weird color. Kind of turned me off. And damn it. I did not get two bags of crispy noodles. I did not get one bag of crispy noodles. I got no crispy noodles!! I was so pissed especially since I asked about it. The lady at the counter was as sweet as she could be but she screwed up. She should have checked especially after I asked. I'm angry at myself because I should have double-checked before I left. I ordered the egg foo yung dinner rather than the lunch special so I would get a larger portion but the the dinner portion only had two egg foo young patties. I should have gotten the lunch portion. That was disappointing! The egg foo yung sauce had a taste different than what I'm used to but it was fine. The vegetable fried rice was tasty, but here's the kicker folks... they don't even give you a fortune cookie!!! That makes no sense What would that that cost you? That was a first for me!! Unfortunately, I will not be back. I was ready to become a customer but I'll pay a couple of dollars more and go to some of my other haunts where the portions are larger and the food more inviting. And I get crispy noodles with my soup and a fortune cookie!

This place is a walking red flag of all flags - Literally waited for 39 minutes for my food - They asked for my credit card and ID for an online order pickup that I had already paid for - In spite of the long wait, they still managed to rush through and placed scorching hot food into a styrofoam container. The plastic melted all over my food - Weirdest tasting 'chinese' food I have ever tried. The kitchen staff were clearly all speaking Spanish, which isn't typically a problem, but the food was so odd that I doubt any of them trained on proper Chinese cuisine.

Grand China has the best Chinese food in the TRIAD!!! You get the best bang for your buck and the customer service is A-1! The ambiance is family oriented and the wings are the absolute best. I've tried other Chinese restaurants and every time I do I kick myself for not sticking to who i know which is Grand China! They feed my family AT LEAST once a week.

I got home from work on a Tuesday evening and was so hungry. My friend was staying and visiting. They decided they wanted Chinese food. This was the closest to my home. We both got the sesame chicken combo with shrimp egg roll. I got white rice and he got fried rice. I placed and paid for the order online at 8:49pm. Ordering online was super easy. There was a $0.50 service fee, which isn't bad. While ordering, the earliest time for pick up was 9:05pm. It was a 7 min drive, so I left at 8:53pm and arrived at 8:59pm. This place is located in a shopping center which is honestly pretty much empty most of the top. I've never seen the parking lot even close to reaching half capacity, lol. The food was ready when I arrived. Even though I had paid online, they wanted to see my card and my ID. I thought this was odd. The whole reason for me paying online was so that I don't have to bring my card inside. So I had to go back to my car, in the cold, and get my wallet so that I could show them my ID and my credit card. If I had known that, I would've just chose to pay at the store while I was making my online order. When I got home, I enjoyed my food. I would say that it was decent. I think there was only 1 shrimp on the shrimp egg roll. I wished the chicken itself was a little more crisper than it was. No issues with the rice really. I didn't finish it all that night and finished it the next.

Everything is always good ... the food and the wings is the best whenever I come here ... best customer service in town... I been eating here for years ... nothing is never wrong with this store

Food is good, the service is what u need to get your food. The ambiance is local town Chinese food with lots of pictures on the wall of people who ate there.

The food is a hit or miss. The people who work on the phone always have an attitude and it's annoying. I've been coming here for years and it's always been nice people but ever since they've gotten these young teens the customer service has gone down hill.

I am giving this 5 star because Ive been eating here for basically 15+ years plus. Now I know when you read this, it doesnt give you the validation for why you are reading reviews but hear me out. The food here is economical, sometimes fresh and sometimes not (like food from home), its always and sometimes busy here, and its your neighborhood chinese joint. This place is maintained and kept above average. Yes not anywhere close to giving you death. This place makes sure you get your food good and hot. If you do delivery alot, thats your own world and its not a pretty one sometimes. Give this place a try, don't expect the world's ultimate food, we're all working class people and we all eat the same. This is the working class and sometimes the difference between a hot meal and another shift you have to throwdown for work. Sincerely your neighbor of 15+. P.S The food is very good.

The worst service you could imagine. You can call multiple times to place an order. And they will hang up on you it's no mistake.

Finally got around to trying out this little place, which sets way back off of E. Cone Blvd in a seedy strip shopping center - there is definitely no street visibility here. We ordered 3 of their Lunch Specials: Chicken Wings (4 wings, Chicken Fried Rice, & Pork Egg Roll), Kung Pao Chicken (same side items), and Sa-Cha Beef (same sides). Each lunch plate was $5.75, and the portion size was large indeed. The wings were very nice, and the egg roll was good, but not great - a little on the overdone side actually. Both the Kung Pao Chicken and the Sa-Cha Beef were good, though a bit on the mild side, and loaded with all manner of vegetables. Definitely will try other items on the menu. Service was excellent - called in the order, arrived when they said it would be ready, and it was.

Ordered $200 worth of food, was missing Orange Chicken. The person on the phone argued with me, asked me to text pictures of my food to a random number AND THEN proceeded to get an attitude insisting there was a box with the #6 on top. If I just spent $200 in your greasy spoon establishment and I call to say a $12 order of orange chicken is missing....you probably shouldn't get an attitude. I will NEVER order from here again. They literally checked security cameras to insist I got the dish. These people lost a long time customer who spent a lot of money in their establishment with this terrible "customer service".

Went to grand China to pick up two lunch specials with egg rolls and i order two extra egg rolls notice i didn't get the two extra egg rolls i ordered went back in to tell them. She requested i go get my bag so she could see . She pull the bag out and said this is the bag where we put 3 eggs rolls in . I was like how do i suppose to know that . She followed through with insulting my intelligence as if she was saying i ate one because that's the bag they put 3 egg rolls in . She refuse to give me the extra egg rolls i paid for. This place don't respect their customers and they lie about what they put in your bag.

11/20/20 My aunt recommended this place for dinner. We ordered delivery . We ordered pork & shrimp low mein, beef and broccoli, chicken wings, orange chicken and egg rolls and spring rolls. The lady on the phone retaking orders was great, very helpful and curiosity. Delivery Arrived within time stated. The food was just not good. The low mein didn't taste like anything. Orange chicken was cold in the middle. The best part of dinner for me was the pork egg roll. I will not be ordering again from here. I should have checked Yelp review first.

Could not tell shrimp from onion or chicken from the ether 2 in the house fried rice.

This was my first time ordering from here. I ordered shrimp broccoli with white rice. The shrimp smelled like rotten fish when I received it. I called back to the store to inform them that my shrimp was not fresh and I wanted to exchange for something else. The girl told me to "come to the store and you can talk about it." I said "Excuse me?" She said "you can talk about it at the store.." I was so shocked at her response that I did not know what to say. So, I drove back there and the man asked me what was the problem and told me that he can give me a chicken wing plate with white rice. He didn't once ask me what I would like or apologized. Horrible customer service and bad food quality. I will not be returning.

Went there last night and paid with a credit card and this morning when i looked at my transaction i was in the negative because the cashier gave themselves a tip

Just ordered from here like 15 minutes ago . The delivery driver had a very nasty attitude and still got a tip. Called the store to complain got the managers number. He made it seem like it was something I did. Definitely won't order from here again

I started ordering from here during my Junior Year of college. So many memories with this place! Better than a lot of local places. Big portions and standard food. I recommend staying away from any broccoli dishes and going for general tso chicken and maybe fried wings.

I have ordered almost solely from Grand China for years.Until today i would hv given rave reviews.My mom weekly orders us food from there on her debit card and has it delivered to our house.Today the exact same driver comes and asks for Id and debit card or we cant get food.I call the restaurant and the smart mouthed cashier proceeds to tell me thats their policy.I asked why in the over 10 previous times this same driver never once asked for it she basically sd i was lyin. Even though we hv never been refused our food and there is no record of them having to void the transaction.She gives me the managers cell and he basically tries the same scripted answer.When i asked why we never had this problem before...SAME DRIVER AND SAME ORDER EVERY TIME... he couldnt answer. Bottom line...you cant pick and choose when to enforce a "policy" and expect your inconsistency to be tolerated.Im making it my business to make sure NO ONE i know ever orders from here.

I Live .2 miles away from this location the 1st time eating there the food was Good even after letting it sit for about 30 mins, so I decided to order again tonight. This time for delivery. The food arrived 40 mins after the placed order and my sesame chicken was basically MUSH .. I did not feel like leaving my house so I called in to make the complaint and show up the next day for asked refund. I was given a hard time on the phone so I went into the store. There I restated on four occasions that I wanted a refund and all three employees mistaken that for redo .. after being given a new tray I tried to explain again that I just wanted the money I spent on the food. The employees gave me an even harder time by still charging me for the eggroll and extra sauce. WILL NOT EAT THERE AGAIN.

Despite trying desperately there seems to be no actual Chinese food in this city thus far. My wife and I ordered Crab Rangoon, Wonton Soup, and the General Tso's Chicken dinner special - the Crab Rangoon was mostly fried wonton wrapper and cream cheese (did not taste and had to really look for the crab), the Wonton Soup tasted like it had more salt than a package of Ramen, and the General Tso's chicken was not spicy, mostly batter, and quite disgusting. The one and only good part of the meal was the vegetable fried rice. I'm giving it two stars because my prior attempt at Chen's Garden left me with food poisoning and while the food was quite nasty it at least didn't make any of us sick.

Food is ok. Customer Service is TERRIBLE. Don't expect to be appreciated or even treated like a human being. They'll hang up on you, get your order wrong & make you feel like you're a bother!

Wow this place sucks. If you are wanting delivery, call China express. Since my usual place is closed Mondays, I decided to try grand China again. It had been years since I ordered from them and they have not improved. Their sesame chicken is awful. I ordered lo mein with no vegetables, it had vegetables. The "fried rice" was nasty. The chicken and broccoli was OK and the egg rolls weren't bad. I paid with a card and they called me right back to tell me they under charged me and added $3 to the bill. The driver got here and wanted to see the card I paid with which was no longer here. The driver was rude. I ended up having to pay cash.

I've tried many Chinese food places and this is by far the worst I have ever been to. I ordered shrimp broccoli with fried rice, first of all there was only about 2 shrimps in the plate that reeked as if it they had dug it out the bottom of the fridge where it had been forgotten for a LONG time. That wasn't even the worst part. The chicken in the chicken fried rice (WHICH I DID NOT EVEN ORDER) was undercooked and had a nasty meaty flavor. The workers were also very rude and had an attitude as if they were not happy at all that I was there. As I was standing in line to order, someone came in with a complaint about their fried chicken saying it was undercooked. The worker said that's how it is supposed to be and the customer left very unhappy. I should have taken that as a sign and left but I still wanted to try it out for myself. Do NOT come to this place there are plenty of other local Chinese food places in this area that are a very much upgrade from here.

I have been to this restaurant times without number because it is very close to my house. They make the best chicken wings so far in Greensboro, always hot and pocket friendly according to how much you like to get. They have never disappointed me because I get the best whenever I visit the restaurant. I got to know the restaurant through the recommendation of a friend and I love what they offer. My siblings and my baby girl love their chicken wings as well. Their chicken is well seasoned and they give you any sauces of your choice. I always go for the hot chili sauce because I love my chicken spicy. Their customer service is always excellent and the employees are always wearing smiles on their faces no matter how busy they are. The restaurant is always neat, despite the fact that it is an old building. They always make my chicken fresh without wasting much time. They have varieties of foreign foods that looks good and catchy but I have never tried any of the foreign foods apart from the chicken wings. I wish to try some of those foods some day especially the sushi and I hope they taste good. They have pictures of their old customers beautifully pasted on the walls of the restaurant for great memories and the restaurant being in existence for a long period of time. I strongly recommend this restaurant to fried chicken lovers like myself.

Called this evening to Grand China An Placed a order to be Delivered. I Had ordered the Wing Dinner Special with Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Dinner Special Chicken Fried Rice, (21) Fried Shrimp, And a order of Cheese Ragoons, & 2 Pepsi's. When the Delivery Guy came an left. I checked My order an was missing the Fried Shrimp & the Ragoons where Fried to a Crisp Burnt just about. So I called back an told the Chinese Lady I Did Not receive the (21) Fried Shrimp an that the Ragoons was Burnt. She Said I will have the Delivery Guy bring you Your order that was missing back to You when He gets back. She said do You want the Shrimp for a Dollar I said I Want the Fried Shrimp Not the Dollar Shrimp. She said Ok. Just put the Ragoons back in the Bag an give them to the Delivery Driver when He comes back. I Said Ok. An then Hung up. About 20 minutes later the Delivery Guy comes back an gives Me the Food. and I open it up an the Shrimp is a side order of shrimp that was to go in the Fried Rice. It was not even cooked like it was suppose to be. An only 12 pieces in it. An the Ragoons was fine. So I Called back an said this was to Be Fried Shrimp. She raised Her Voice and said No You said $1 Shrimp. I said No I Paid for 21 Fried Shrimp and it was Not Fried and Not what I Had ordered. She would Not make it right and Hung up the phone on Me. I was like ok. So then when I got My food out to eat. The Rice Was Shrimp Fried Rice Instead Of Chicken Fried Rice. I Was Like WOW Seriously. I checked My Husbands Food and it was Shrimp Fried Rice to. I Was Nope. No More for Me here. I WILL Take My Business some Where Else. To The Owner If this is Your Wife. Make Her Stay Home and Not come in there. She Is RUDE AND HATEFUL AN DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC. She Needs Lessons on Keeping Her Mouth Shut and How to Talk to Customers....People Take Your Business Some Where Else... This Lady Is Horrible...

Love this place. Found them on Yelp when I moved from NYC. Love the food and workers always helpful and polite. My regular place. I recommend this place to anyone especially those new in town. Always a happy costumer

Grand China is like the greatest chinese resturaunt on earth. The people that work their are all about customer appreciation. The best thing on the menu in my opinion would be the 6 garlic wings with a beef fried rice. The garlic sauce that the chicken soaks in is very savory. The beef fried rice has big chunks of beef in it that taste like steak. They also have great prices, and the quanity of food is large also. Sometimes the plates be so stacked with food that i have to save some for later so i wont be miserable. They have plenty to choose from, great service, and a high sanitation grade. So the next time you get hungry on summit and cone you should most definitley give them a try.

Despite Grand China being in a low budget and crammed shopping center .The food is pretty good with relatively large portions .The amount of time it took for me to get my food was swift for call-in and delivery. They offer daily specials for lunch ,dinner and college students . They open 7 days a week and deliver after 11 (which is rare) .They maintain a decently clean internal area can't say the same for the outer area.
