May be the best sit down brunch I have had! Beautiful setting, and five star Disney service! The fruit salad was amazing! Chicken and Vanilla French toast (not on menu 😉) were yummy. My wife had the classic Mickey waffle! 🐭 Had a nice little treat for my birthday as well. Even had many gluten free options for our daughter. A must-do for brunch!

MORGAN! All I can say is WOW! Morgan made our whole entire experience well worth it! She made recommendations, was personable, friendly and accommodating! She didn’t fail to be sure our glasses were full and came to check on us many times throughout our experience. I can say that the food was wonderful but our service was the best service we’ve received! Thank you, Morgan!

The food is great. We really liked the food! Our server was good. She took care of us and even shared some valuable recommendations. The restaurant itself is odd. The tables and chairs are “off” somehow. It has an odd feeling that is difficult to quantify. That’s just how I feel about the place. If you are only dining here, you should know that you will park 2 tenths of a mile from the resort on the other side of the main road. I’m sure this is to keep people from parking at the hotel and using the monorail as though they are hotel guests. The parking pass is 3 hours long, which is more than enough time to enjoy your meal and your walk. I’m trying to be honest about the way things are in March 2025.

The Grand Floridan Cafe was a little pricey with portions on the small side for lunch. The meals were very good. Our waiter described the chicken and waffles as a large portion, and it was not. The waffle was comparable to what's available on the breakfast buffet at chain hotels. The entree salad was also small, but did have a generous portion of grilled chicken on it. The biscuits that came with the meal were great and we got seconds of those because everything else was so small. Service was just okay. By Disney standards, service should have been much better. From what we could see, our waiter spent much more of his time at certain tables. However, when we needed something, we had to flag him down to get his attention more than once. It would have been nice if he purposely would have stopped at our table on his own to check with us. We always had to wave at him to get him to come over. Overall, I'm not sure this is the place we would want to return to for another meal. There are many other good places to eat around the Disney parks and hotels. .

We were thoroughly impressed with the Brunch options at this restaurant. The Tortilla Soup and the Floridian-style Eggs Benedict were outstanding, and we highly recommend them. Of course, the excellent service provided by Disney also contributed to our overall positive experience.

My daughter and I went for brunch. What a delicious delight it was. Our waitress Karen was so sweet. Although we didn't get their names, the youngmen who brought out our food were also very nice. We started off with our appetizers, which was really delicious. Then our entrees were so good and plated really nice. The decor in the Grand Floridian is so pretty. We saw the cool chocolate Easter decorations. I have shared all the pictures for your delight. We will definitely be going back for brunch.

Had lunch at the Grand Floridian Café and overall, it was a good experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles—solid, but not the best I’ve had. My family tried the club sandwich, pancakes with bacon, and the chicken Caesar salad. The club and pancakes were just okay, but the Caesar salad stood out—fresh, flavorful, and really well done. What really made the visit was the service. Bradlee was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. While the food was a bit hit-or-miss, the service definitely made up for it.

Google
We tried this cafe for breakfast. We thought the pancakes were yummy! The eggs, bacon, and sausage were all standard but well executed. The breakfast sandwich was not our favorite, and we thought the fries and hash brown casserole left something to be desired. The biscuits that came with the meal were lackluster. It’s a great location but a little pricey for what you’re getting.

Yelp
The grand Floridian cafe will have you enjoying a wonderful breakfast for sure. But even better is the service you'll receive! We enjoyed ourselves with Cat, our server who brought more than breakfast but a delightful personality! I don't need to tell you about all the wonderful things that they offer... Heavy on the bananas you will find this season delightful stack of pancakes with all the trimmings... Eggs, Benedict, and so many more things. Don't be surprised when you see the brunch menu has even things like a burger! So please take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities you can find here.

Yelp
"A Grand Experience Every Time -- Where Casual Meets Classy at the Grand Floridian Café!" When you're on Disney property and craving a sit-down meal that feels special but still relaxed, look no further than the Grand Floridian Café. Tucked into the heart of Disney's flagship resort -- the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa -- this beautiful Victorian-inspired gem sits right off the main lobby, with views of the gardens and pool. It's charming, inviting, and serves up magic from sunrise to sunset. Breakfast? Brunch? Dinner? Been there for all three. Every single visit, it delivers. But if I had to pick a favorite, the brunch menu wins the golden Mickey. I'm talking Lobster Eggs Benedict that will make your inner foodie cry tears of joy. Yes, lobster. On Disney property. For brunch. And it's actually affordable (by Disney standards, of course). Not a seafood fan? Go for the Brioche French Toast or the Café Burger -- both hit that perfect comfort food sweet spot. The menu walks the line between elevated and familiar, so even picky eaters will leave happy. The ambiance? Elegant but unpretentious. This isn't a stuffy fine dining experience -- it's Disney luxury made accessible. The natural light, soft color palette, and quiet setting make it the perfect spot for a date, a family meal, or just escaping the theme park frenzy for a moment of calm. And let's talk about the cast members. These are the kinds of people who remember your name, celebrate your special occasions, and sprinkle extra Disney magic on your dining experience. Every interaction we've had here has been top-tier hospitality. Whether you're staying at the Grand or hopping over for a bite, the Grand Floridian Café is an absolute must-do. It's a little pocket of peace and deliciousness -- no theme park ticket required. From romantic mornings with my wife to memorable meals with the family, this café has become a tradition for us. Pro tip: Make a dining reservation -- it fills up fast! Especially for that brunch.

Yelp
We had took a break from our day at the magic kingdom to have lunch here outside of the park to kind of decompress. It was my son's birthday so he was getting fairly tired from the hustle and bustle at magic kingdom. This was such a great escape. The biscuits and butter were great and then my lunch was by far the best lunch I've ever had at disney world ever. And I've been coming since i was 7 years old now 38. I had ordered the power bowl but with shrimp substituted and my husband ordered the steak and eggs. His steak was just okay. Not nearly as amazing as my bowl was which is crazy to say since I LOVE a good steak. The steak was a cheap cut for sure. Because it wasn't the most tender cut of steak I've ever had. Definitely skip it! But get the French onion soup or the power bowl.

Yelp
So, the Grand Floridian is an upsacle, luxurious resort. The experience in the restaurant did not reflect that whatsoever. The architecture and decor - beautiful! But the service just wasn't there. We were sat were the sun was bright, which wasn't the problem but the manager came over and decided to pull the shade open and the sun just hitting our eyes.... Like wow. Waitress was there only to get our drinks and order. Once the check came in and paid, just started taking our dishes like if we didn't exist. The food - lacks emotion, love and taste. My burger was ok but dry. The sauces definitely helped a lot. In other words, make sure your server tops the water (ours didn't) and ask for sauces and condiments. I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
I have been here a few times now, mixed between breakfast and dinner, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time! It is a quick and easy option, without being over casual, if that makes sense. There are typically reservations available close to or day of. Both menus had a great variety to please everyone and everything I have tried was great. The servers are really friendly and I feel like this is very reminiscent of how Disney restaurants should be, ambiance wise, service wise, and food/menu wise.

Yelp
Food was out of this world fantastic. I even got room service. The pork shank was full of flavor. I was disappointed in the size of the Caesar salad but all in all fantastic food

Yelp
Enjoyed a breakfast with the family. Very reasonable prices. Service was quick and attentive. I had the Steak and Eggs which was great. Everyone enjoyed! Definitely will be back

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant! I am so glad my husband and I came this morning to have breakfast before driving home. From the moment I walked in, I felt like a royalty. Everyone was very friendly. Our server was so lovely and explained everything on the menu for us. The house biscuit was good, but I especially enjoyed the orange butter! I ordered the Passion fruit guava pancakes, and my husband ordered the traditional eggs Benedict. Both were excellent! The highlight? I was given champagne and cupcakes to celebrate my birthday. I was so surprised! The cupcakes were so cute and yummy. The price is actually very reasonable. I will definitely be back again!

Yelp
UGHHHHHHHH i think about these dishes.. frequently. the salad is the perfect combination of sweet, savory, salty. the crispy prosciutto. the bite of the cheese. sweet sour of the apple. candied nuts. citrus dressing. MMMMMMM. mm! perfect. and the chicken & mickey waffle???? amazing. 10/10 no notes. the waffle is always so warm and crisp but fluffy and delicious. the chicken is juicy & tender, the hot honey is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. the dining area is very cute, large. definitely fits with the theme of the grand floridian! will say the waiters are usually accommodating multiple tables, so they are not super attentive. always lovely! but can be tricky to get their attention at times.

Yelp
We went to Grand Floridian Cafe, just two of us, for brunch on my birthday. We made a reservation and noted it was my birthday, and I was wearing a birthday button. I was disappointed that my birthday was not acknowledged at all. I wasn't expecting anything wild, but Disney often brings out a little cupcake or something, so to not get that or even have the server say happy birthday was pretty disappointing. Other than that, it was a nice experience. The restaurant is well themed, the food was good, the prices are what you expect for Disney, and it was nice to be able to park at the hotel and Wander around a bit after we ate. We ordered the carmelized onion soup, floridian style eggs Benedict, and the grand floridian signature burger. All were wonderful, though the burger was really a highlight. The brie, jam, and aoili were a perfect combo. I probably wouldn't get the benedict again just because it wasn't memorable and there are some other items that sound great. The soup was phenomenal but honestly pretty small for the cost. The restaurant is pretty, and set-up nicely, without feeling over crowded. It's just hard to have an overall good opinion when I've seen people treated 100 times better on their birthday at Disney at a quick service restaurant.

Yelp
I had such an amazing brunch experience with my bestfriend here! Their staff are super friendly and welcoming! Service was quick! My steak and eggs were phenomenal, absolutely delicious! My bestie enjoyed her meal too, we tried each others food and her pork with eggs was incredible! I highly recommend to get brunch here, you won't regret it!

Yelp
The ambiance here is the best. It's what I always imagined the restaurant at Disney should be. It's giving "royalty". The food? Probably not too much for my liking. It's okay don't get me wrong. It's just that kinda place where you don't come for food. I got chicken and waffle and of course, it's Mickey waffle!! The chicken was hot and crispy. The waffle was a little tough for me. The worst part was the hot honey. It's just straight sweet which I don't like. I wish they had another kind of sauce to choose from. The service is amazing and I will come back for the ambiance.

Yelp
Classic staple of the Grande Floridian resort. You will need a reservation, which can only be booked on the Disney app. We grabbed a 6:45 spot while at the resort. We stopped by to inquire if we can eat earlier and they said that would not be a problem so we were able to seat an hour earlier. Food was great, we had the buttermilk chicken, miso glaze salmon and French onion soup which were all fantastic. The salmon, however, was by far the best. This is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Yelp
Came for dinner Sunday evening and arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation. We were called just a few minutes before our original reservation so they are generally on time. We ordered the chicken tenders and cheese flatbread "pizza" for the kids and they enjoyed their meals so that alone was worth the 4 stars. Adults got the steak and it was pretty good. Mine was medium well and a bit too overdone. Good portion sizes. My husband said medium was a good sear for the meat. Good location and mostly on time for sit down service. Neutral on whether we would come back next time...

Yelp
Had brunch today! The food was everything we expected and more! The service spot on from our reservation to our server Karen. Karen was awesome, she gave us her recommendations with a smile. The ambiance at Christmas time is exquisite! This years is 25 years of their beautiful gingerbread house display.

Yelp
I essentially came to this restaurant because I had friends staying at the Grand Floridian and it was the most convenient for them. However, I winded up really enjoying my gourmet burger and appreciated the fact that it was a simple menu. We ended up here late at night after a long Disney park day, so for once it was great to have less choices. All of the other food at our table looked great as well and our server really helped us out with letting us order later due to an issue with someone in our party. I would eat here again as an option that is much more price friendly than the other choices at Grand Floridian.

Yelp
Hubs and I had our "fancy honeymoon dinner" at Grand Floridian Cafe. It was a picture-perfect dining experience from start to finish. We checked in with Zach a few minutes prior to our reservation. Zach asked us if we had any food allergies (I have a few) so we made note of that. Even though it was 12 million degrees in central Florida in October, we started with some amazing French onion soups. We also had a wonderful bread basket that we devoured. For our entrees, I had the steak and my husband had the chicken and pasta. Both entrees were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. My pictures don't do it justice. We passed on dessert but sat and chatted as we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and the beautiful glass windows overlooking the rest of the property. The Grand Floridian resort is just that - absolutely grand. You don't have to be staying at the resort in order to eat at their restaurants. Our dinner came out to be a little over a hundred dollars, way less than we were expecting. Because we're Disney Vacation Club members, they took ten percent off of the total (a standard DVC perk). Grand Floridian cafe quickly became one of our favorite restaurants. We've spent more money on character meals with food that was sub-par. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We were seated at the time of our reservation and had a table right in the center, with beautiful views of the elegance around us. The place has ample seating so it seems they could easily accommodate walk ins as it never seemed to fill up. The service was prompt and helpful. Bread comes with the meal as well as butter which made it hard to finish all my food, after filling up on the soft bread and butter. We split a very flavorful, fresh Caesar salad and each ordered the salmon. It was perfectly cooked - not dry nor undercooked. The miso flavor is pretty typical with salmon at many restaurants so nothing surprising but quite well executed. The rice was nice and the green beans crisp and fresh. It comes with way more beans than I'd expected and I couldn't finish mine.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite more casual and affordable sit-down spots at a resort! I'm so pleased to see a more full menu back at this spot with my favorite dish (the salmon). The service is always great and we never feel rushed, but we get our food in a timely manner. On this trip, we went for it! We started with soups to combat some rainy weather - the French onion and the seasonal lemon orzo chicken were both very flavorful and big hits. We also enjoyed cocktails - the French 75 was the hit here, it was great! My boyfriend enjoyed the signature burger, which he always enjoys, and I got my favorite meal - the miso-glazed salmon. I HAVE to get this when I come here, it's one of my favorite meals on property! The salmon is always flavored well and the green beans and rice make it a meal that helps you feel a bit healthier on a vacation. For dessert we chose the cookies and cream cake and the strawberry mousse dessert - both very different, but we each loved what we got! The cake was huge, chocolatey, and had an Oreo on top. What more could you want? Add this spot to your Disney trip for sure!

Yelp
My friends and I made dinner reservations for the Grand Floridian Cafe last time I was in town. It was a last minute reservation and they had plenty of openings. I was a little surprised, but it was a slow week at the parks. The Cafe is a beautiful space - just like any other area of the Grand Floridian. The decorations were ornate without feeling stuffy and the seating was comfortable. They have a menu with something for everyone - steak, chicken, fish, salads, soups. I got the salmon and it was really good. Very well seasoned. I also got a cocktail and it was great, too. Chilled, great flavor, and strong. The service was just like all service at Disney - immaculate. That's what they do best. I would absolutely come back if I needed another last minute dinner reservation.

Yelp
Grand Floridian Resort-Hanging out while my husband was at a conference! I had the most delicious Apple & Chicken salad! Yummy orange juice, and a great view out the window overlooking the lake area of the resort! Definitely worth the wait to have breakfast here!
google avatar

Gary R.

Yelp
An elegant setting with exceptional service and attention to detail. Like most Disney restaurants menu choices are good but not expanded. The fresh homemade biscuits with citrus butter are a welcome addition and the avocado toast a highlight. Traditional eggs Benedict were done well as was the standard breakfast with cheesy potatoes, bacon and sausage. The Bloody Mary was standard nothing out of the ordinary.

Yelp
This place is somewhat of a hidden gem. Regardless of the time of year one can usually finagle a ressie here. True to form we let it get to 7:30 on a Saturday before deciding to make dinner plans. There were still several open tables so we made our reservation and headed to the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort. It's always a pleasant meal in a charming atmosphere. Unlike many places they still bring the table bread and butter, although I miss the little squares of butter dusted with sea salt that used to come with the rolls. One member of our group is gluten intolerant so she was served her own gluten free roll that came in a little bag. She said that was standard for Disney restaurants. For dinner I opted for my favorite dish here, French Onion Soup! It's an appetizer but I selected it for my entree. DD went with their signature burger which is a 7 oz. patty with brie, bacon-pepper jam, roasted garlic aioli, arugula on a toasted brioche bun. She declared it very good. It was served with fries. Our gluten free friend ordered the curry with chicken. It was made with "bamboo rice" which I had never heard of. She said it was great and she ended up taking half of the generous portion to go. The last member of our group chose the braised pork shank which was served on polenta and had a side of collards. She said the meat fell off the bone and the gravy with the risotto was "to die for". She also had to take some of her meal home. The two young ladies also had espresso martinis while I had coffee (could have been hotter) and DD had a coke. All of our dishes were great, service was first rate. An 18% gratuity waautomatically added to the bill but that may have been because we used a cast member discount (-20%). The bill for the four of us was $152 but with two alcoholic drinks, I didn't think that was too bad for the quality of food and the level of service we had.

Yelp
I'm not sure I have been to any Disney restaurant where I felt like they were a true 5 star. That being said, this one is on my top favorites we have been. I LOVED the buttermilk fried chicken-this is what the restaurant is known for and I understand why. I loved that one food actually came out HOT. Service was good and they had complimentary bread service.

Yelp
We made 10 am reservations. This is a beautiful restaurant and service is fantastic. I had the eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the grand breakfast. So much food. Love this place.

Yelp
A Disney World Resort staycation ended with a delicious breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It was my first time dining here, and I loved it! I made the reservation in advance, which is a best practice for going to any Disney restaurant, especially in the high season. First of all, as its name indicates, the cafe is located at the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort. The resort is so beautiful that after your meal, you can stay and walk around the grounds. There were so many choices, and it was hard to decide. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with a house-made sausage patty, over easy egg, arugula, roasted red peppers, pickled onion, garlic aïoli, and whipped goat cheese on house-made ciabatta served with fries. This sandwich was a delight! My husband ordered the Club Sandwich with house-roasted turkey, ham, bibb lettuce, tomatoes, Applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar, and house aioli with fries. This was another fabulous choice. On top of that, we couldn't leave without ordering some Mickey Waffles, which was a nice sweet treat for our meals. The portions are generous. Their specialty coffee machine was broken down, so I couldn't get a latte. So, I settled for fresh-brewed coffee, which was okay. If you are looking to add a mimosa or drink to your meal, there are alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages too. The service from the host to our server was so outstanding. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parking: we were staying at another resort, so we drove. You will first go to the resort gate, and the security guard will give you a pass to park across the street on a lot for dining reservations only. It was a short walk across the street, but we got lucky, and a cast member took us on his golf cart. The parking pass is valid for 3 or 4 hours only. I can't remember exactly. PSA: The street outside the Grand Floridian is under construction, and there is traffic, so add that to your driving time.

Yelp
We love a good breakfast before a long park day and Grand Floridian Cafe never disappoints. The food is solid and the service is always excellent. They give complimentary biscuits with your meal which is a rare treat at restaurants these days. I especially love their lattes... a proper coffee. The interior is classic GF and a little tired but always clean and relatively quick for a sit down restaurant. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My mom and I had a great brunch here this week! We got a last minute reservation day- of. The cafe is well themed and fits perfectly with the Victorian vibe of the hotel. The one negative was that we were seated a good 25 minutes after our reservation time. I am not sure what was going on, but a lot of others were in the same boat. Maybe they need to take less reservations? The cast members were doing their best and we had a great experience, once we were seated. I had the breakfast sandwich and was able to sub bacon for the sausage and switch out my side for the cheesy hash browns. I LOVED this sandwich! It was very unique and the mix of flavors was perfection. And the hash browns are a must try. My mom got the classic breakfast and really enjoyed it as well! The complimentary biscuits with citrus butter is great as well! I definitely recommend this spot for brunch! They serve until 2 every day!

Yelp
This beautiful restaurant is not too far from Magic Kingdom! I started with a refreshing classic appetizer, a Caesar salad. As my entree, I tried the buttermilk-fried chicken, which was cooked perfectly and tender. However, it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning. It was served with smashed potatoes and warm bacon vinaigrette. I personally wasn't a fan of the vinaigrette because it was too sweet. Server was great and fast.

Yelp
I've been to Disney so many times, and finally treated myself to a nice dinner at one of the fancier resorts! The Grand Floridian is absolutely beautiful. It's a Victorian-style resort and you definitely feel fancy just walking around. The Grand Floridian Café is on the ground floor. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. I had one and was able to check in on the Disney app once I got in the building. It said that I didn't even need to go to the host stand, and would get a text when my table was ready. Super easy! A couple tried to walk in around the same time and was quoted an hour and a half wait, so make sure you plan ahead. My only negative is that I wasn't seated until about a half hour after my reservation, without any apology. By then I was starving. I almost took a star off for this, but everything else was so good. My waitress, Margie, was super sweet. Pro tip-you can send "cast compliments" to recognize great service in the Disney app! They give you a basket of rolls to start, which were really good. I got the signature burger, and I loved the Brie and arugula as opposed to the traditional American and lettuce. The fries were really well-seasoned. It's a bit expensive, but not outrageous and I'd say definitely worth it.

Yelp
There is nothing like visiting Disney's boardwalk, and having a fine dining experience, such as the one we had at the Grand Floridian Café. The service here is second to none. The food is amazing and what can you say about the ambience if not that it was all a Christmas experience. If you are in the area of Orlando, I would strongly encourage you to try to get a reservation here at the Grand Floridian.

Yelp
Place is beautiful !! Drinks were delicious ! Service was a bit slow so make sure you aren't in a rush.. bread was hard.. BUT entree's were AMAZING ! So it had its ups and downs- we will definitely dine here again and give it another shot !

Yelp
Not really sure where to start here? Dinner is absolutely incredible! Came here for Brunch a couple times, little did I know Dinner is where it's at! So glad I gave this place a second chance. The flavors of each dish have been meticulously chosen for the perfect flavor combo especially in the Cajun Pasta and the Salmon. The Prime Rib was incredibly well done as well for the Holiday season. These dishes seriously rival some of Disney's more expensive dinner locations! I can't wait to dine here again. Compliments to the chef, Diego!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch so my parents could see the resort. Food was surprisingly good for resort cafe. My miso glazed salmon was delicious. My dad enjoyed his chicken and waffle. The butternut squash soup was to die for. Service was great.

Yelp
We had a few meals during at the Grand Floridian Cafe during our stay there. The Brunch was particularly good...the Fresh Fruit Bowl was perfect with the coconut sorbet they serve with it. My boyfriend had The Breakfast Sandwich and I had the Floridian-style Eggs Benedict which was really good. The fresh salad that comes with it is a perfect side with it. We also had time to down a few mimosas before heading to the parks, which were also really great. GFC has nice large windows that look out into the courtyard and pool area and is on par with the rest of the Grand Floridian's elegant and welcoming design. Tip: Before you walk into the restaurant, check out the marble floor and the amazing detail they've done to subtly put classic Disney characters into the design work. The hosts and wait staff are always very friendly and prompt and we appreciate getting to see familiar faces when we visit. I wish I remember her name, but there was a manager who was working between the Grand Floridian cafe and 1900 Park Fare and remembered us a number of times as we passed through and was very helpful with giving us some directions too! Thanks for reinforcing the Disney magic... we look forward to returning!

Yelp
I highly recommend stopping at the Grand Floridian Cafe for brunch - even if you are not a guest of the Grand Floridian. It is a beautiful Victorian style property with incredible service and great food at a reasonable price. For kids, they offer Mickey shaped pancakes with Mickey shaped confetti. They also offer Mickey shaped waffles. We especially liked the seasonal pancakes (Southern Banana pudding) complete with crushed Nilla wafers and the guava/papaya French toast. The service was very personable and she always had a smile on her face and was asking what else we needed. My favorite place for brunch at Disney World resort.
google avatar

Rick C.

Yelp
The ambience is upscale. However, the line for the Disney bus transportation was very unorganized. People who were first in line was being cut off by others. I'm surprised that resort staff was not present in the area to be more organized. Other than that, the gingerbread house looks amazing!

Yelp
Very efficient check in and we were seated fairly quickly without a lunch reservation. The eggs Benedict and burger were both top notch and our service was fast and friendly. The drinks were okay, but the food was the real star here. We had a couple hours before our room was ready and it was really the only option for lunch that was right on the Grand Floridian property, so it's a good thing it was a solid dining experience. (The rest of our stay there proved to have a few bumps). Anyhow, I really would recommend this place and although the menu is not huge, the choices are quite solid.

Yelp
The staff was amazing. We were an hour late getting here fit our 5:45 PM reservation. They were able to work us in 20 minutes later. The food was amazing. I have the shrimp curry. I would eat that every day it was so good. My wife loved the Tacos Carnitas and the Gingerbread Martini was excellent. The restaurant was very nice and pleasant. Beatify surroundings. Would definitely recommend again.

Yelp
Very pretty decor but the entire restaurant smelled weird, like old wet wood. Staff is attentive and kind. Food took an hour to come out after ordering. Plating could use some work, very plain and no thought put into presentation. Food itself was okay, tasted like buffet food. Not much flavor. Watermelon lemonade was more than $6, not worth the price but tasty. Steak was good and cooked to the temp we wanted. Potatoes were yummy, needed salt. Eggs were not good, tasted like eggs from a carton. No flavor and very dense for scrambled eggs. Pancakes were okay, tasted bland. The banana pudding flavor tasted like it was from a box. Overall okay experience, but not worth the expensive price tag. Our server Halima was awesome!

Yelp
We had a nice enough evening here. The setting certainly is beautiful. The service was slow -- 2nd round of drinks arrived after we were done with our entrees. The cocktails were good, and the food was okay-- kind of dry and basic but essentially well made and I do like a simple menu. The most annoying part was parking. We had a choice between parking in Timbuktu and walking across a main road, or shelling out for the hotel's regular daily valet rate-- $42! We found this out at the valet stand and just paid it. But there really is no excuse for making a restaurant-only guest pay more than they paid for theme park parking, and not validating for restaurant guests who use it for 90 minutes. I might return if I was staying at the resort, but not otherwise.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to the Grand Floridian to have breakfast before going back home and this was just the best way to end our trip. When I say this is probably the best breakfast i've had in a while, I MEAN ITT!! My boyfriend got the steak and eggs, which came with 2 sides one of them being the cheesy hash browns. OMG they were so creamy, flavorful and addicting! I'm definitely going to be dreaming about that AND these chicken and waffles I ordered. The breading was so crispy and the chicken was so juicy, the classic mickey waffle was so delicious, of course. It was topped with a sriracha honey and wow it's just the best chicken and waffles i've had. They also gave us free biscuits to snack on!! It comes with a citrus butter that was very fresh! So delicious 10/10 everyone needs to try this whenever they come to disney!! And of course the place was gorgeous because it's the Grand Floridian!

Yelp
Absolutely the best service and value on Disney property. We stay often at Grand Floridian and always make sure to visit GF Cafe at least once during our stay, this past week we were at Boardwalk Inn yet still stopped in for lunch here as there is nothing to compare at Boardwalk. Many of the servers have been here for years and it shows...in a good way ! When Disney is sneaking in additional fees/removing perks at the resorts and parks, GF Cafe remains such a gem. Perfection.

Yelp
Got there at 7:50 on a Marathon Sunday, for a walk-in. Got called 10mins later. The restaurant is quite big, Victorian style decor just like the hotel. Server is very sweet and attentive. Ordered the fried chicken and waffle (gotta have Mickey waffle), and a cappuccino. The complimentary biscuit & the citrus butter are really good. The fried chicken has the honey sriracha sauce that I love (wish i had asked for more on the side). The Mickey waffle is a good size, standard taste. Overall, it's a good option for breakfast if you have some time and not rushing out the door to go to the parks. I'd come again and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
We come here every year to catch dinner and the fireworks show from the boat launch once the show gets it's 8 pm start time. Reservations are right but if you're persistent you'll get one! Service is always lovely and the food is consistently at a high level for not being a signature restaurant at the property. The ambiance is light, airy and whimsicle!

Yelp
The Grand Floridian Café really did surprise me. The food was so good and the gingerbread martini was on point. I did not think I would enjoy the chicken because it was covered in corn flakes, but it turned out to be done really well and both of my friends enjoyed their plates as well. The menu did seem kind of small but everything was done well.

Yelp
We made reservations for breakfast here for the first time last week while on our trip to Disney. I was surprisingly impressed with the food. The restaurant is located inside the Grand Floridian Hotel and the decor is in line with the hotel aesthetics and ambiance. However, the food was the star of the show!! Steak and eggs - one of the better steaks on Disney property and the hash brown casserole was delicious. Floridian Style Eggs Benedict - Simply Delicious!! Breakfast Sandwich - Amazing ! The house-made sausage was thick and delicious and the whipped goat cheese, pickled onions and garlic aioli were spectacular and mixed so well with the sausage and over easy egg. Service was very good. We try and eat at different restaurants when we go to Disney, but we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Rolls & spread - rolls we're light and fluffy but the spread tasted like air. Not worth the calories! Needed more substance. Caesar salad - most Caesars are subpar (say, 2.75/5). Given that this was a solid 3.99. Worth ordering. French Onion Soup - I know how difficult this soup is to make. This could have used more salt but other than that it was pretty solid. 4/5 Buttermilk Fried Chicken - You come for the chicken....but stay for the mashed. Chicken didn't have much flavor (could have used honey on the side!) but was nice and crisp. Mashed potatoes were just shy of spectacular just as our waiter suggested! 4.25/5 Overall this was place was decent, fairly attentive and friendly staff but not worth needing a reservation to visit. Would probably not return.
