Huge mall next to the train station. Well planned with spacious walkways and easy connections to adjacent buildings. Lots of shop, cafes and restaurants. The area is clean and well maintained. I love the outdoor fountain area with cute sculptures. I struggled with the signages initially but got the hang of it eventually.

Grand Front Osaka is a beautiful and well-designed complex — clean, modern, and full of great shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s one of Osaka’s most stylish areas, perfect for shopping, dining, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. However, in the early morning hours, you may notice several homeless people or individuals sleeping on benches around the building and nearby plazas, so it’s good to stay a bit cautious if you visit early in the day. Other than that, it’s a fantastic and vibrant place to explore — safe, lively, and very comfortable during the day. I recommend visiting on weekdays when it’s less crowded and you can fully enjoy the calm yet sophisticated vibe of the area.

A stylish and modern complex right next to Osaka Station. Great mix of shops, restaurants, and cafes across multiple floors. Perfect for shopping, grabbing a meal, or just relaxing between travels. The rooftop garden and open spaces are a nice touch. Clean, convenient, and well-designed — a must-visit if you’re in the Umeda area.

Another huge mall in the heart of Umeda. Has a lot of unique brands that cover many aspects of life. The place is always busy with people. Good for businesses!

Google
Large, modern shopping complex with lots of shops and restaurants. The open space outside has water features and a large green bear sitting in the water spitting out water from its mouth. The steps also have an advertisement for the expo. Probably quite a pleasant outdoor space when it’s not so hot. Rather busy inside, not many people outside due to the heat.

The Grand Front Osaka complex is actually a combination of several buildings. Unfortunately, I didn’t research enough before visiting and assumed it was just one building, which left me feeling a bit lost while exploring. Overall, it’s a great place to visit, as long as you use the building floor plan to know where you are. The complex is welcoming and conveniently within walking distance of Osaka Station.

Grand Front Osaka is a fantastic destination for shopping and exploring! The variety of boutique stores is impressive, offering everything from high-end fashion to unique local finds. It’s a great place to browse and discover something special. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning and added a magical atmosphere to the whole experience—definitely a highlight of our visit! That said, the layout can be a bit confusing, especially for first-time visitors. It took some time to navigate between the different areas. Overall, it’s a lively and vibrant spot that’s worth checking out, especially during the holiday season.

Yelp
All roads in Osaka leads into the Osaka Grand Front Mall. There are 3 buildings with plenty of shopping, food and grocery. The Osaka - JR rail is underneath all three buildings. First few days getting here was a maze to get around. The people here are very nice to help you find where you are going. Recommendation: Make sure you use google maps and you have a way to your destination. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Located north of the Osaka train station, this place looks like a futuristic stadium from the outside. It is actually a large complex that consists of a shopping center, office space, and a residential tower. Tourists would only be interested in the shopping of course. In this case, the shopping area at first glance appeared to be a very modern and high end mall. However, the place is actually just very new (opened in 2013) and is not as expensive as it looks. It is actually a mix of all kinds of stores, both Western and Japanese. You will find some luxury brands like Prada and Armani. But you will also find Starbucks, Muji, Subway, and Coca Cola. Even if you are not shopping for anything, the architecture alone is impressive to look at. There is a huge outdoor seating area as well.

Yelp
Grand Front Osaka is located in the shopping hub of Osaka. It is one of the biggest mall in Osaka with many fashion brands like Prada, Coach, LV and etc. I didn't end up buying anything from the mall. It was definitely nice to check out their biggest mall. Because of land lock and high value of real estate prices in Japan. The mall is very different from North American malls. It is built very rectangular shaped. Its like walking a wide isle. Definitely not the best design and the mall did feel very crowded in most places. Not airy at all. Seats are limited but it was not difficult to find a sitting place. There are three parts to the Grand Front Osaka mall. Tower A and B are mostly cloths or consumer goods stores. Tower C is mostly offices. On the bright side the mall is very easily assessable by transit.

Yelp
This place is huge and you can easily get lost in it. There are tons of shops and restaurants so if you have some free time before heading out on a train, I'd recommend wandering around to kill time.

Yelp
Pretty big shopping mall with over 260 shops and divided in several buildings: the first of these is the South Building which is basically a shopping mall, then there is the North Building which has two towers, one contains a large venue called Knowledge Capital with different interesting space for expositions. Not my favorite but good for luxury shopping!

Yelp
Very nice building!!! Incredible variety of shops and restaurants. Escalators and elevators located throughout the building which is also close to several train stations.

Yelp
The huge building soaring in front of Osaka Station consists of the north and south halls. Opening was terrible, because they were crowded with customers and visitors. So they were not able to afford to look around the shops slowly and carefully. I do not know how they are on Saturday and Sunday, but are not crowded so much now on weekdays. At first let's introduce me from south hall. This hall which comprises the tenant of fashion, gourmet, interior and beauty. There is a long line in front of Qu'il fait bon or a cafe and pattisserie on the second floor still now even on weekdays. The shop of pretty and fashionable interior is totally cafe itself of Paris. A shop opened in Sanjyo of Kyoto several years ago; it became the topic so I want to have tea and sweet here once. There are many stylish boutiques. I can find my favorite if even size matches me. But they may provide only 9 size of the clothes. It is regrettable! Next, in north hall there is Lab which performs various events, and a family seems to be able to enjoy it. I can enjoy the atmosphere of the floors and their layout are stylish. Cafes are found everywhere, but I am sorry that there is only one convenience store. Seven-Eleven is on the underground of the north hall. As for Family Mart, offices are for exclusive use. Because both halls are like mazes, be careful not to be at a loss.
