"If Milano modernism isn’t your thing, try this nineteenth-century mansion—once the home of Verdi—where antiques, oil paintings, and Oriental rugs are scattered throughout the 95 guest rooms. Bonus: La Scala, the Via Montenapoleone, and the Duomo are all just a five-minute walk away."

"The Grand Hotel et de Milan is the most authentic. It was recently renovated yet feels old-school, the city’s equivalent to Venice’s Hotel Danieli."

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is outstanding. During our stay I got very ill. The front desk staff got a doctor and then went out and got my medication and delivered it to me. They ordered a car to take us to the airport at 5 AM! Every staff member from restaurant servers to housekeeping is very well trained and friendly. The rooms and public areas are beautiful.

Luxurious and attentive. Cannot say enough amazing things about this property. The staff is so amazing and attentive. They anticipated all of our needs and expectations. Everything is very clean and the rooms are spacious and beautifully put together. I especially loved the little reading lights next to my bed! The breakfast was delicious (try the pear juice) and the espresso is the best I've had. Cannot wait to return again in our favorite Italian city

We found a second home in Milan. This is for sure a place that you will never forget. After a busy day in Milan you just feel indescribable happy to come back in this oasis. The staff truly cares about you and it's such a heartwarming atmosphere. The Hotel is under the perfect guidance of the General Manager Mr. Auger. Thanks to all of you, it was an extraordinary stay! Will come back very soon.

Terrible experience at GRAND HOTEL ET DE MILAN (July 15th-19th)||We stayed at the Grand Hotel et de Milan, expecting a service that matches its 5-star rating, but it was a complete disappointment. On the first day, I stored my cash in my backpack, hidden inside my passport holder, as I prefer not to carry too much money around. After returning from a family walk, I noticed my backpack was open, and when I counted the money, 1300 euros and 300 dollars were missing.||I immediately went down to report the issue to the staff, and the service was absolutely appalling. Luri Pochini, the receptionist, and Anastasiia Zderchul, the concierge, showed zero interest in my situation. They made no effort to help or show empathy. Instead, they just called their manager, who wasn’t even at the hotel until the following day. They told me I had to file a report with the authorities before they could even begin any investigation. They claimed they couldn’t access the cameras and mentioned that only one cleaning shift had passed since my arrival, making it obvious the theft happened during that time.||In a hotel of this category, you expect them to take responsibility and provide all necessary support to the guest, especially given the high prices they charge. Instead, they forced me to waste 4-7 hours at the police station, as they explained, due to the large number of cases.||I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL. They steal from your room, and the staff takes no responsibility for their actions. It's a terrible experience for anyone expecting peace of mind and security.

This is a beautiful hWe loved the room, a junior suite, the breakfast was amazing, and we ate both lunch and dinner which were terrific. The bar was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and professional, and always available to help. The concierge Walter got us tickets to La Scala for a performance that was officially listed as sold out.otel in a great location.

Very elegant hotel. Like stepping back in time, if stepping back in time included USB and wireless chargers, and high-def TVs. In a fantastic position if you are a tourist. Didn’t eat here other than breakfast, which was very good.

This lovely historic hotel in the heart of the historic district is a stone's throw from La Scala. (Verdi lived in the hotel for many years and you may be able to get in to see his room if it is not being used). We enjoyed our three nights there during our visit to Milan. The staff are terrific and attentive. We were on the 5th floor and our room had a slanting ceiling which could be a bit disconcerting, but was lovely. The shower and tub were the best of our stay in Italy. One of the true delights was the outstanding rich hot chocolate made in the Bistro Restaurant, which you can also get in the Bar if you explain that you want that version and not the one with whipped cream on top. The Bar version is fine too, but the Bistro version is simply outstanding. Reminded us of Paris. It is a lovely place to stay and we greatly enjoyed our visit.
