I’ve been traveling to Nusa Dua since 1998 and have stayed at many different hotels, but our recent stay at the Grand Hyatt was definitely one of our best experiences. We stayed for five nights as a family of four (two adults and two children under three).
The resort is massive, so be prepared to do quite a bit of walking, but it’s very accessible, we had no issues getting around with a pram. The rooms are a bit dated, but they are very spacious. We especially loved the cozy nook area that was converted into a bed for our toddler, which made it comfortable for all four of us to sleep in one room.
The highlights of our stay were the swimming pools with slides, which were a huge hit, and the food. Everything we tried was delicious, and the Indonesian food was especially impressive—authentic and not watered down. The rendang and sop buntut at Watercourt are absolutely outstanding.
We did experience a few minor issues with some staff attitudes, but the management team was very quick and proactive in listening to our feedback and resolving the situation, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a wonderful stay, and we would definitely consider coming back.
