Grand Hyatt Beijing

"Part of Oriental Plaza, the country’s largest commercial complex, this curved glass tower is "one of the places to be in Beijing." Its "excellent location" places it minutes from the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Wangfujing night market. Along with floor-to-ceiling windows, rooms have wood accents, goose-down duvets, marble bathrooms, and Chinese artwork. Some suites have abstract art and designer lighting, while the Presidential Suite has its own sauna. "Don’t miss the best Peking duck in their Made in China restaurant." Staff are "very efficient."

"With abalone as its self-proclaimed theme, Top Feast not only serves a variety of dishes made with the treasured shellfish, but also displays an impressive collection of dried abalones from around the world. The butler will customise the menu to diners' liking. Try the chargrilled abalone with goose liver, flambéed tableside. My family and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Beijing in May 2025 for 4 nights, and our experience was truly amazing. We booked one of the premium 2-bedroom suites with access to the grand club and the facilities were top-notch from start to finish. The service from the staff was extremely friendly and professional from the moment we arrived. All our needs were attended to promptly and attentively, making us feel truly valued as guests. Most impressive was the special attention from the Guest Relations team who took the initiative to prepare a birthday surprise for our twin daughters. This small touch—complete with complimentary treats—was very touching and made their birthdays unforgettable. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with an elegant design that reflected the standards of a five-star hotel. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the grand club, and both were excellent. The menu choices were varied, with delicious flavors and excellent quality food. Overall, the Grand Hyatt Beijing provided an amazing stay for our family. From the personalized service, to the comfort of the room, to the attention to small details—everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for luxurious and family-friendly accommodation in downtown Beijing.

We stayed for four nights and loved every minute of it! We did have a renovated room, so I can't speak to the non-reno rooms. It was very quiet and comfortable, and the club access was perfect. Great breakfast and the ability to get snacks and drinks all throughout the day. The location is fantastic - you are super close to Dongdan and Wangfujing metro stations, which will get you to all of the tourist attractions. Wangfujing Street is right outside the door. We had afternoon tea in the lobby one day, and it was immaculate. We had a little glitch with transportation from the airport, but Cecelia more than made up for it - she is excellent. One note is that everyone local knows this hotel, so the address is very easy when you have a taxi or a driver.

I was trying to find a future Hyatt for our business for my team in Beijing. This hotel has a good location even though the rooms are smaller than I expected. However, I found the customer service and the hotel staff training is very good, especially the staff from the Club on the 17th floor. Libby and Henry are extremely helpful when I asked for help. They have a very good attitude towards their work. I can tell that they are dedicated to what they are doing. They are not only nice and polite, but also worked hard and very professionally. I can tell that they both received a very good training because they can help you and know what exactly you need even though some times you did not ask for. The new manager, Mr. Marvin Liu is also very friendly and professional. I know my team and I can get along well with him. I also met with Nancy An and had a very nice discussion for our future business. Nancy appeared to be very helpful and professional individual. Anyway, I can tell my team will like this hotel. A good luck to all hotel staff! ||from ||Jim Lee

The location couldn’t be more perfect—just steps away from major historic sites, with easy access to the metro and taxis for exploring the entire city. It's very quiet for being so well located. ||||As Globalists, we truly appreciated the elevated experience. The complimentary breakfast and evening Happy Hour in the lounge were both outstanding, offering a delicious and relaxing way to start and end each day. I was also able to use a Suite Upgrade Award, and the suite we received was spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely comfortable.||||The hotel’s newly renovated gym and indoor pool are top-tier—modern, large, and impeccably maintained. We made good use of both during our extended stay. The concierge team was also excellent, helping us secure a hard-to-get dinner reservation with ease.||||The real highlight, though, remains the unbeatable location—there’s so much to see, do, and eat just steps from the hotel’s front door.||||We would highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Beijing to anyone visiting the city, whether it’s your first time or a return trip. It’s a luxurious, welcoming base from which to explore everything Beijing has to offer.

Very nice hotel with great facility and excellent service. Its location is excellent, a block away from Wangfujing podestrian shopping street with the best shopping and dinning options. It's about 15 minute walk from Palace Museum and Tiananmen. The staff was very helpful for arranging travel options e.g. to the Great Wall. Cecelia was wonderful! For its locations, the rooms are really spacious. Highly recommended.

For families from the US or Europe visiting Beijing, especially for the first time, this Grand Hyatt is easily the best place to stay. There are many reasons why: location is perfect, hotel common areas are beautiful, the refurbished premiere rooms on the club level are terrific, the included club lounge breakfast was excellent, the indoor pool is ridiculously awesome, the on-site Made in China restaurant was great too, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Those reasons alone make it a five-star hotel, and although I've stayed at the wonderful Peninsula hotel too in Beijing, this Grand Hyatt is the only place I would ever stay at again with our family, and there is one special reason for that: her name is Cecilia, the concierge on the main floor. Of all the hotels we've stayed at all over the world and out of all the excellent concierges we've been lucky enough to know, nobody has ever come close to the miracle-level helpfulness and kindness of Cecilia. We communicated with her by email months before our trip and she helped us arrange several activities and guides and answered all of our many questions. That alone would have been enough since it greatly reduced the intimidation factor of planning a family visit to a city like Beijing with so much to see and do. In person, Cecilia was even more helpful and friendly and showed so much genuine care for our family. We kept our WeChat open with her while we were out on activities and were able to chat with her on the fly about changes to our plans or questions. She was basically like a guardian angel during our trip and without a doubt made our visit to Beijing more special and seamless than we expected. She even had one of the hotel's autonomous droids deliver stuffed panda toys to our room, which our kids thought was awesome. Our family is so thankful to Cecilia and everybody at the hotel for making our time in Beijing so special.

Stayed four nights at this beautiful hotel. The suite is huge, clean, and well kept. The breakfast and lounge services are excellent. Every day, there is something new to try out. I am also very impressed by the pool and gym. We used the gym daily. There is a lot of equipment to choose from. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions and shopping centers. Also, there are subways nearby. Try to avoid surface traffic unless it is during low-traffic hours. Staff are very friendly all the time. They clean the room often as well.

Our recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing was both comfortable and convenient. Strategically located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers easy access to the subway, nearby shopping malls, and a variety of dining options—making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. We also hosted a meeting at the hotel, which provided a professional and well-equipped setting. However, we encountered some communication challenges as several hotel staff members had limited English proficiency. While they were polite and willing to assist, the language barrier at times made it difficult to convey specific requests or coordinate details smoothly.
