Grand Hyatt Beijing

"Part of Oriental Plaza, the country’s largest commercial complex, this curved glass tower is "one of the places to be in Beijing." Its "excellent location" places it minutes from the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Wangfujing night market. Along with floor-to-ceiling windows, rooms have wood accents, goose-down duvets, marble bathrooms, and Chinese artwork. Some suites have abstract art and designer lighting, while the Presidential Suite has its own sauna. "Don’t miss the best Peking duck in their Made in China restaurant." Staff are "very efficient."

Grand Hyatt Beijing boasts a fantastic location, just a short walk from the Forbidden City and right on Wangfujing Street. The hotel provides a true luxury experience with spacious rooms and top-tier service. One of the standout features is the massive, resort-style indoor swimming pool, which is easily one of the best in the city. Both the breakfast and the Grand Club lounge were impressive, offering a great selection of high-quality dishes. It is a perfect base for exploring Beijing’s historic sites in comfort.

My family (including 2 kids) enjoyed our stay at Grand Hyatt Beijing immensely. The staff were friendly and accommodating (they even helped to take out our laundry from the washer machine when I requested). Kudos to housekeepers Anya and Chris for taking good care of us, and for finding my wand which I forgot to pack! We stayed in the King Bed Apartment which was large - it had a sofa, divan, and washer/dryer. There was a stove, but no pots - which was fine since we asked the concierge to help order delivery food from nearby. Not speaking any chinese, I found communicating with them via wechat was the easiest when we wanted items like a humidifier, yoga mat, etc. The hotel was full - so they were very busy, but still made the effort to be helpful. My son and I also really enjoyed the amazing swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hot tub facilities at P3 level. Just the trick to unwind and relax after a busy day walking palace grounds / shopping malls. The location is fantastic - connected via the adjacent mall to 2 metro stations, and walking distance to the Wangfujing shopping strip.

This Grand Hyatt is easily one of the best Hyatt properties in Beijing, especially considering its relatively reasonable price. The check-in process at the club lounge was incredibly smooth, and the front desk staff were attentive, friendly, and immediately understood my needs. The room was spacious, and as a Lifetime Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite—over 1,000 square feet and extremely comfortable. Breakfast on the second floor offers a wide range of selections, all well executed. The gym is very clean, equipped with modern machines, and well maintained, though it gets crowded even around 7 a.m. I suppose guests here are just very committed to their workouts. One thing truly worth mentioning is the massive indoor pool on the ground floor, called the “Oasis.” It feels almost surreal—you really have to see it in person. Overall, an exceptional stay and easily a top choice in Beijing.

Amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt — pure luxury and comfort. We stayed on the 17th floor with Club Access and were so happy with all the facilities at the Grand Club. Happy hour was fun, and the all-you-can-eat buffet was completely free. The Club Oasis was great too, with a beautiful indoor pool. The gym was spacious and equipped with Technogym machines. Make sure to enjoy the hot tub and steam sauna in the changing room — super relaxing, especially in winter. Breakfast had so much variety: Chinese dishes, Western options, desserts — everything! Definitely make sure to get breakfast here! Prime location too, 3 mins walk to Wangfuqing!

My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by warm smiles and incredibly attentive staff. The hotel itself is stunning—elegant, beautifully maintained, and truly deserving of its 5-star reputation. My room was absolutely amazing. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the amenities were thoughtfully arranged, and the room view was simply breathtaking. Every detail felt intentional, making it incredibly easy to relax and feel at home.Service throughout the hotel was flawless. The front desk, concierge, F&B team, and especially the housekeeping staff delivered hospitality at the highest level. Breakfast was a highlight of each morning—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The egg benedicts were mouth-watering, and the selection of Chinese dishes was rich, authentic, and wonderfully satisfying.Location wise- very accessible via Wangfujing metro station, and its connected to the Oriental Plaza. So easy landmark to spot on. Its nearby Tiananmen Square, Forbidden Palace .. and veey central at heart of Beijing city But what made this stay unforgettable too were the housekeepers, Chris and Betty. Their professionalism and thoughtfulness left a deep impression on me. They were always prompt, extremely accommodating, and provided exactly the right level of service—never intrusive, always attentive. Beautiful hotel with attentive and welcoming staff throughout our stay. Mr Ray Sim, Assistant Manager (F&B), was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. He noticed that one of my children was unwell and immediately offered a glass of warm water for him to take his medication. Beyond that, he took the time to share detailed information about nearby medical facilities, including the credibility of the different hospitals, and even offered his personal contact should we need assistance in an emergency. My family sincerely appreciated his genuine care and his willingness to go well beyond his call of duty. His kindness made a meaningful difference to our stay.
