Grand Hyatt

Grand Hyatt Chengdu is a beautiful treasure cave of fine art. Every corner of the hotel houses surprises of artwork which are so delightful right up to the elevator floor display screen. Services like any other grand Hyatt hotels is impeccable, warm and inviting. We had fabulous in-house sichuan food as well and treats of desserts that were unexpected. Breakfast was amazing too with their famous scrambled eggs and possibly the best croissant. Location what more can I say great shopping and food at our doorstep.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a short 5-minute walk to IFS Chengdu, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The service at Grand Hyatt Chengdu is top-notch – the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I especially loved the club lounge experience, where I received personalized attention and enjoyed exclusive amenities. Dining at the hotel was a highlight of my stay. The in-house restaurants, including their Michelin hotpot restaurant, served exceptional cuisine that exceeded my expectations. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options that were all delicious and satisfying. Not only is the service and dining experience outstanding, but the hotel's design is also superb. From the elegant lobby to the beautifully appointed rooms, every detail is meticulously crafted, creating a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere.

I travel a lot and this hotel is excellent. Very good first impression in the lobby and check in was friendly and smooth. Room was good size and great views over Chengdu. Excellent location very close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast also very good as was the lunchtime buffet. No need to search around locally for lunch. Can’t think of any negatives. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! Really helpful staff at check-in and check-out. Grateful for the late check out they allowed. Bed was so comfortable (loved the blackout curtain). Breakfast was amazing - waffles were delicious and so many other great choices too. We enjoyed the swimming pool as well as a massage. The coupon at check in made me go for the extra splurge. It was a really special day vacation!

Location was excellent. Within walking distance to IFS, a mall right next to the hotel. Ideal for tourists. Buffet breakfast spread at the hotel was good. The club lounge is spacious and provided relatively good spread for evening cocktail hours. However, don't have too high hopes for its customer service, it pales in comparison with the other Hyatt that I have stayed.

The rooms are nicely outfitted and the lobby area is set up beautifully with lots of little sitting areas for small groups so no one is getting in anyone's way.||Service was good overall but we found that anything that had to go through the front desk always required a loooooong wait even though they will keep assuring you it'll be immediate.||We stayed at the property while the restaurant was having a Southeast Asian festival, which we really enjoyed. Carry always took very good care of us during our meals there. There's also a cute outdoor garden area with private booths.||We took advantage of the game room (pay by the hour) which is a facility that really requires more maintenance and care. It smelled of stale smoke and there were filled ashtrays and even cigarette butts just littering counters even though we were the first ones to use the room that day. Also, it was really hot in there and the A/C couldn't be turned on strong enough to make a difference.

|We stayed twice at this Hyatt on our recent visit to Chengdu. The first time, we were missing a side table in our room and you could see the wall plug where it should have been. The adjacent toilet missed soap as so many people have pointed out but the sink was absolutely gross with mold. Our second room was slightly better but the layout of the room is so odd. Like there is a giant pillar in the room that they need to work around. For a 5 star hotel, there was no coffee in the room. The swimming pool required a cap but was not provided. Worst is that breakfast is incredibly poor at over Rmb 200 per person, but they won't tell you that until you check out. The location is central but we found it quite overwhelming given the large number of people milling around. It was also hard to access the metro because of all these ppl. We would not stay there again. One redeeming factor was the concierge who was super nice.

The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. The concierge, especially Joseph, was super helpful. The location is very central and near two subway lines. It is also in the middle of a huge shopping and restaurant area.Breakfast period during the holiday got crowded but it was still fine and the restaurant staff had us sit for 3-5 min in a nice lounge while they cleared the tables. Very well-done.
