Grand Hyatt

Grand Hyatt Chengdu is really luxurious with its dark-themed interiors and mirrors everywhere – everything looks expensive and elegant. Great central location too, which I'd definitely recommend.The staff are great: well-dressed, friendly, and always ready to greet you. I had a small issue with the toilet flushing, but they fixed it quickly, left a nice note, and even sent a fruit basket. That kind of service makes you feel valued.The rooms could use a little refresh and better use of space. There aren't enough hooks in the bathroom, and the hair dryer could be stronger for a 5-star hotel. The 15th-floor reception gets a bit stuffy in the afternoon – better ventilation would help.Breakfast has okay variety, but the quality could be improved. It didn't quite match the excellent (though simpler) food I had at the Marriott Executive Apartments in Chongqing.Overall, the elegant setup is impressive, but it sometimes felt a bit fragile – I worried about accidentally spoiling or getting cut by some edges/mirrors. I'd prefer it to feel more relaxed and comfortable. A few small updates would make it perfect – I might not return personally, but I'd still recommend it for the luxury, service, and location.

A Fantastic Stay in the Heart of the City ​We had such a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu! The location is absolutely perfect—you are right on Chunxi Road, so you have endless options for eating and exploring right at your doorstep. ​The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was modern and felt so spacious thanks to the mirrored design, and we loved the stunning city views. A huge plus was that the room smelled fresh and clean with absolutely no lingering smoke smell, which is always a relief. The service was also top-tier; everyone we met was kind and eager to help. ​The only small thing to know is that the breakfast is a bit standard for a luxury hotel, and they don't serve it in the Club Lounge. However, the fresh noodle station at the buffet was delicious and gave us a nice taste of local flavor. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and convenient Chengdu experience!

The hotel is very luxurious yet very spacious in a very dense area of chengdu. The room is very modern yet it was able to blend with Chengdu’s history. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Room service was very quick and efficient. The restaurant choices were very exquisite although the buffet choices lacked in pastry. The hotel itself is in close proximity to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Hui with the hotel itself attached to the Chicony shopping mall, great for shopping and eating if the hotel restaurants doesn’t suit your needs. It is also a walking distance from the subway station as well. I would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

The hotel is located in the center of Chengdu. Transportation and shopping are few minutes walk. There is also a lot of food options nearby. Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast is also fantastic with both western and Chinese style. Cons: Rooms are bit old. Also it is hard to get around with taxi due to traffic. Overall I enjoyed the 3 nights stay :) Overall I think

We stayed here for a week in December and had a comfortable overall experience.||||We appreciated that the front desk staff were able to communicate well in English, which made interactions smooth and easy.||||We paid for an upgrade to an executive suite with an additional connecting room. The space was generous and worked very well for our family, giving our child plenty of room to move around. The suite also included an extra powder room, which was especially useful for our helper.||||However, during our stay, we found the bed in the suite extremely uncomfortable and raised this issue with the hotel. While the team made attempts to rectify the problem, the discomfort unfortunately persisted. Eventually, as it became quite frustrating, we requested extra beds instead, which turned out to be more comfortable for us.||||The breakfast and club lounge offerings were adequate but felt quite average and repetitive. We ended up skipping breakfast on several days and only visited the lounge once despite having access, which was disappointing as this is something we usually enjoy.||||The location was excellent—right in the heart of Chunxi Road, with Taikoo Li, IFS, and other attractions all within easy walking distance.||||That said, the hotel does show signs of age and would benefit from some minor renovations to better compete with the newer five-star hotels in the surrounding area.

The stay was wonderful, great benefits for globalist members, upgrade to suite was nice. The lounge club was delicious, good selection of drinks during happy hour, service was good too. They also handle your Taobao delivery with great care. We especially enjoyed the Xinrui photography service, a very pleasant addition to our stay. The makeup artist and the photographer are both very professional and super kind and helpful, highly highly recommend!

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu for five days during my recent business trip, and it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel has a modern design and offers an excellent view of the city from the rooms, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast selection was impressive, with plenty of choices to start the day right. I also appreciated the thoughtful pillow selection, which ensured a comfortable night’s sleep. The staff were courteous and professional, always ready to assist. Overall, it is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers visiting Chengdu.

Strategic location, just a doorstep away to the Chunxi Street, lots of foods in the area and also near to Taikoo Li , which is a very nice area to be in. ||||Love the Hotel Room and also the service, Hyatt always make us feel like home. To add on, there is a very nice Spa bath house just across the Hotel. We enjoyed it very much
