McDonald’s Workers Demonstrated Outside Shareholders’ Meeting in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"As McDonald’s executives and investors attended the company's annual shareholders' meeting at the hotel located at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, McDonald’s workers—taking part in a 13-city “week of action”—marched to the meeting room, presented a list of demands, and demonstrated outside with posters. The protesters were calling attention to workplace violence and sexual harassment while advocating for a $15-per-hour living wage and the right to unionize; the demonstration in Dallas coincided with a Bernie Sanders video town hall in the city." - Adele Chapin

Spent a night here upon return from Europe. Room is very nicely designed with rich textures and convenient amenities. Two issues we encountered were: TV was taking 10-15 minutes to tune in channels, so we'd leave it on until the picture came on and then repeat for next channel; the tub looked great but served only as a cold plunge. The water volume knob was working but the temp knob would just spin with no effect. Shower pressure and temp were just ok. Beds were comfortable and and view of runway was outstanding. We grabbed an evening snack at the lounge and enjoyed the Caesar and crab cakes. The morning breakfast was excellent, enjoyed the french toast, salmon Benedict, and croque madame. Coffee press was great! Service was exceptional.

The Grand Hyatt DFW is my go‑to when I have a very late arrival or an early morning flight. The biggest advantage is its unbeatable location — it’s directly connected to the airport terminals, so you can walk straight from your gate to your room without needing a shuttle. Despite being right in the airport, the rooms are impressively quiet and well‑insulated. You might occasionally hear faint airport sounds, but overall it’s a peaceful and restful place to stay. The newly renovated rooms are especially nice — they feel fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and great lighting. Service here consistently stands out. The staff are attentive and professional, and they often remember returning guests by name, which gives it that “white‑glove” touch. Little details like complimentary earplugs, quality toiletries, and quick, reliable room service make a big difference for tired travelers. It is more expensive than the Hyatt Regency DFW, but you’re paying for convenience, quality, and those newly updated rooms. If you value a seamless connection to your flight and a premium airport‑hotel experience, the Grand Hyatt is absolutely worth it.

Nice spacious rooms, great service. From the front desk to the bar and even the shuttle driver. Great people, very welcoming. Will stay here again! Pro tip - return your rental the night before your flight and it's a short walk back to the hotel then the shuttle can drop you off at the terminal in the morning.

Very clean room. A fairly new hotel. Functional room layout. Desk, Sofa, separate space for shower (enclosed), bath and toilet (enclosed). Lots of charging outlets. Very good choice if staying overnight at the dfw airport for layover, or to catch super early flights.

Google
The newly renovated Grand Hyatt is awesome! I have stayed here several times each year for the last years, and I can tell you that it's awesome! The staff have always been friendly and professional! The new look is AWESOME! It's also functional and well laid out. The rooms now have plenty of power connections, updated furniture that is MUCH more comfortable AND the new showers in the updated bathrooms are also AWESOME! The layout makes everything easy and looks great! Once again, the Grand Hyatt DFW made me feel at home and now to feel like we have a NEW home! Well done!

Google
We enjoyed our experience here. The check in was very smooth, my WoH benefits were well taken care of, the renovated room was excellent. Bonus for having an amazing soaking tub, we'd come back again just for that! The only dampener for us was not being able to have breakfast at 5am as the restaurant doesn't open until 6am, which we were surprised about on weekdays at such a busy airport. We would stay here again, but only if we had later flights.

This was not our first time staying at the Grand Hyatt at DFW. However, it was certainly the most impressive! We were traveling to Japan for 2 months to spend Christmas with our son, his wife, and our 2 grandchildren. Since both the youngest grandchild and our son have birthdays coming up along with Christmas, we had a total of 6 heavy suitcases. When I texted the staff and asked the best way to get from Terminal E to the hotel in Terminal D, they graciously offered to send the curtesy car to meet us. That was a real life, and back, saver! Then I was even more impressed the following morning when the staff person offered to take our luggage to the American Airlines check-in counter to be tagged. In addition to the hotel being clean and convenient, the hospitality and service of the staff are beyond compare. Thank you Grand Hyatt DFW. We look forward to our next stay with you!

Google
Absolutely loved our stay here! I think we got upgraded to a larger room because it was HUGE! Room service was delicious and the amazing location had us ready for our flight first thing in the AM! Very thankful to Sara at the front desk for helping us to check in and with instructions for navigating to our gate.

Yelp
Great hotel for DFW layovers. Clean quiet rooms with a good view of the airport. The staff was friendly professional.

Yelp
This was a delightful stay overall! We stayed for one night prior to a trip abroad. Check in was simple using the app, and the digital key means you never need to be bothered by stopping at the front desk. The corner king room was quite spacious, and the decor is genuinely beautiful. The blue and gray decor reminded me of clouds and the sky which is perfect for an airport hotel. The room had a lovely runway view, but the room was super quiet despite being next to an airport. The bathroom was spacious with a large tub, a spacious shower, and double sinks. Bottled water is complimentary for elite members. The true value of this hotel is location! An elevator from the terminal (D terminal) takes you directly to your room floor and vice versa. It's literally a few steps to the American Airlines checkin desks. I recommend this hotel for a stay at DFW!!

Yelp
This hotel never paid my parking bill at DFW parking office. Since Feb 11, 2025, I've repeatedly had to call front desk to continuously fill out a form that the manager signs and emails to the DFW parking office. I'm continually receiving debt notices from DFW parking office SINCE MARCH 2025 for the balance. Today I spoke with the director of the front desk and he was super condescending and ugly to me telling everything is confidential. I let him know that I actually was given the email to the payments at DFW parking so it's not confidential. He asked then why was I calling? (Gee, I wonder myself why I'm calling and talking to someone so rude and incompetent that's being paid as a director).., so I explained yet again talking very slowwwwwly so he could grasp it. And he said well I'm not going to fill out the form over the phone for you? Well all the front desk people paid less than you filled it out over the phone for me, but I need a copy emailed to me once it's signed cuz obviously I have to take ownership of this AND EMAIL IT IN MYSELF. I realized that I was getting no where so I made a formal complaint to Hyatt customer service at an 800 number. So they created a ticket and I'm hoping to get it handled soon. I'm really disappointed that Hyatt standards are so low in their management choices.

Yelp
It's good if you have long layover or very early flight. Staff is excellent and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. Its nice you can watch the landing and take off of flights. The bad its a cluster f*ck to get there if you are not already planning to be at the airport. You pay to get access to the airport, you have exorbitant fees to park. Its a pain in the ass to find the place if you are unfamiliar as they have two Hyatt properties with the name Hyatt in the name onsite.

Yelp
"Jet Airliner" - Steve Miller Band. If you have an early flight out of Dallas (ours was 6 AM), this is the perfect place to stay as the hotel is right in the airport terminal (terminal D). It was a bit confusing to find as we went around in circles for a while but managed to find this beauty when we saw the very long escalator leading up to the entrance of the check-in area. Check in was fast, quick, easy, professional and efficient. There were no lines, no waiting. Check out was just as fast at 5AM. There is a card key drop off box if you are leaving very early, but at this hotel, the desk always seemed to be manned by human, unlike some other budget places that have that dreaded "we will be right back sign". Room and Price - Nothing about this hotel is budget, of course; It's a Grand Hyatt. We've stayed at other Hyatts that were not impressive but this one was very nice; At $315 a night it's not exactly budget but we paid for the convenience, and it was also very spacious, modern, clean, comfortable and quiet and a good deal for the price. Automatic shades that go up and down, dark black-out shades if you want to sleep in. Noise - Did not hear a single noise. A good thing about staying in an airport hotel near the runway is that the rooms have extra-good sound-proofing. Huge windows to watch the planes taking off and landing. Entertainment right in your room. Beds - were the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. I like firm beds. It was firm yet plush at the same time. Pillows were clean and fresh. Sheets crisp and clean-smelling. Bathroom - a large spacious bathroom with a walk- in shower and a separate bathtub. Full amenities including magnified lit mirror, hair dryer. Food - we did not want to go through TSA to get to the food courts in the airport terminal so we took advantage of the Grand Hyatt's Grand Met Restaurant and Bar attached to the hotel. We opted to sit in the bar area to eat appetizers, grab a craft cocktail and a light dinner. See separate review on the Grand Met, which was very good. Other goodies/amenities - Complimentary water and chocolate chip cookies across from check-in counter, and coffee in the morning. There is apparently a pool and gym on the top floor, which I wanted to check out but ran out of time. Return factor: a 100% for sure at this fabulous hotel, and still dreaming about the Grand Met's Cowboy Candy appetizer!

Yelp
It started out with no one at the valet and then three trips to the front desk before keys would work. Then moved to a new floor/room due to the awful construction noise. Tried to have a web meeting with my team and the construction noise was so loud i had to drop my meeting. Really awful and avoid this place until this is done and functioning properly

Yelp
Love this location. Staff is friendly, attentive, and always helpful. It is super convenient to when you are traveling into Dallas for business. Also, nice. If you are stuck, there is a layover. I was able to check out of the hotel and walk about 10 minutes to my gate. I have stayed here in the past four business meetings, where we all flew into Dallas, and had our meetings and then flew out of Dallas without ever having to leave the airport area.

Yelp
One of the better in-terminal hotels, wake up and walk down to your departure gate. Rooms are beautiful, half overlook the airfield at DFW. Located in Terminal D (American Airlines) take the escalator up from the TSA Security Checkpoint. The restaurant / bar is located lobby level on the 4th floor. Shockingly, the food quality and menu selections are fantastic. Service at the bar was exceptional - thanks David and for the fresh hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. I had a the Garden Salad, Crab Cake Appetizer at the bar, and a Pepperoni Flatbread to go. All items fresh and all were amazing. The salad dressing was a vinaigrette and was notably memorable. Highly recommend to all you weary business travelers out there! I'll be back for sure. Sorry no food pics just the rooms!

Yelp
As a result of American Airlines failure to keep their aircraft staffed and on time, I had the pleasure of draining my wallet at the grand Hyatt Hotel! My connecting flight was canceled as I was on route to the Dallas airport on the first leg of my trip. After standing in line for an hour and a half at the American Airlines Customer service counter at gate A20, I was told that they would not pay for my hotel and that my next flight would not leave until the following day. However, there are three hotels within the terminals at DFW. I took what I could find and ended up at the Grand Hyatt! I booked a reservation online and made my way to the hotel. The staff at the front desk was very easily the best customer service staff that I have ever experienced at ANY hotel. They were well dressed in suits, extremely well mannered, curteous, and well spoken. Within minutes of my arrival, I had received my room keys and a rundown of the amenities and hours of operation for each. Once in my room, the experience really began! The window shades automatically went up when the door was opened. The lights automatically turned on (and off) for my safety. The bed was more than comfortable and room was adequately spacious. The TV was extremely easy to operate (even for the technically challenged) and looked to be half the size of a KING size bed! Room service was lightening quick and made zero mistakes in my order, although $50 for a burger & fries is quite pricey!! Above all else.... I don't think knives ever seen a cleaner hotel room ANYWHERE! The chrome in the bathroom sparkled! Although my say was just overnight -- I've never had a better hotel experience! They definitely helped my airport woes be forgotten (if even for just a few hours) after such a pleasant stay! Even the airplanes that I could hear leaving were quiet..... RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW! This just proves to me that you get what you pay for --- now back to work so I can pay off the bill on that charge card!!!

Yelp
I had a nightmarish travel day and ended up at DFW with a 12 hour layover and didn't want to sleep in the airport. This hotel is less than 10 minutes away so it's super convenient for anyone like me in a pinch. The people working there were extremely friendly, and the bar downstairs serves dinner until pretty late - I was able to get a burger and soup around 9pm. The food wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad either, about the best you could expect at a place like this. The room was clean and plenty big enough with a comfortable bed and pillows. I wish that the TV was a more modern smart TV instead of just having some cable channels, but again this is about what I was expecting. All in all this hotel got the job done and wasn't that expensive either. I'd recommend it to anyone like me who needs a place to crash before an early flight.

Yelp
Grand Hyatts remind me of old money. The decor is a little dated, but well-maintained because of continuous upkeep. They always have controls throughout the room to control lights and shades, so you can do on a whim without lifting more than a finger. I've stayed here a few times and look forward to coming back whenever I have a need to be in the DFW area. Restaurant is good. I liked their crab cakes, and they made me a delicious off menu side of broccolini. Gym is great with lots of options. They kept it nice and cool in there. Nice view as well on the top floor.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here one night. We wanted a hotel near the airport and we were catching another flight the next day. We landed in airport terminal A, called the Hyatt , and the hotel shuttle picked us up within 15 minutes. The hotel is near terminal C. The next morning one of the hotel airport shuttles took us back to the airport. The shuttles from the hotel to the airport run every 20 minutes. A lot of airline employees apparently stay at this hotel. This is a somewhat above average hotel. Our room was quiet, had a comfortable bed, had two bedside tables with reading lamps, and bedside charging and electrical plugs. The room had one upholstered easy chair with ottoman. The desk chair was somewhat padded and pretty comfortable. The desk had a convenient pullout extension. My primary criticism of the room is that there were no glass glasses. I like to use a glass glass to hold my toothbrush. Here I had to use a paper disposable coffee cut resting sideways on the counter. The room had a small coffee maker/ tea maker with pods and teabags and a refrigerator. We didn't use them. I needed extra blankets. Housekeeping delivered 2 blankets soon after my request. The hotel has a decent restaurant called Aces where we had dinner. We did not eat there for breakfast. The hotel also has a restaurant called Jacob's Spring Grill, which we did not try.

Yelp
What a wonderful stay!! I can't say enough about the personalized service for the guests. Great front desk folks so kind (Athenia) Felipe and Deja at desk left goodies in room with hand written note! Fresh baked cookies and coffee/ water at check in. Nice when you travel to have the small surprises! Great room and fantastic restaurant. Love this hotel!!!

Yelp
This review is for the executive suites at the hotel next to the elevator. BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT STAY IN THESE ROOMS. Every time the elevator goes up or down the elevator shaft it sounds like the elevator is scraping the headboard in the bedroom. My husband and I stayed up ALL night long. I finally went down to the front desk at 5:00am to tell them. They are completely aware of the situation but never warned us when booking the room or checking in. Most folks are booking the room for one night as a layover option or because they have an early flight. It totally negates the purpose of staying here. DO NOT BOOK THE EXECUTIVE SUITES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
google avatar

Kruti G.

Yelp
The restaurant at the hotel has amazing chefs! They have vegetarian options and some with Indian flavor! Don't ask for spicey! They know their spices! The hotel is easy to get in and out of from the airport. The rooms were ok. Overall it was good!

Cindy P.

Yelp
The food in the lounge/restaurant is superb! I had a long layover and accidentally discovered this gem. Really great food and wonderful service from JoJo! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Beautiful, luxurious... and convenient! Wow, I was non-stop impressed by GHDFW! My king room was upgraded to a deluxe, which had a spectacular view of the horizon and a bathtub. The toiletries were Balmain! The soaps were scented like fresh laundry, which is unlike anything I've experienced in a hotel. There was fruit infused water and fresh baked cookies in the lobby. The concierge offered a teapot or coffee maker in the room- I got a tea pot (electric tea kettle, two teacups, water bottles, and a selection of Tazo teas). The bed was not as comfy as I'd hoped and the pillows were quite small, but none of this was uncomfortable. I still got a great night's sleep. Additionally, I was surprised that I could not hear the roaring jets of an active airport. Overall, my experience was so quiet and I savored my extra time in my hotel room as opposed to rushing to the terminal to sit in uncomfortable waiting areas. Loved it! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt a week or so ago when we were in Dallas for an overnight layover. The Grand Hyatt was exactly what we needed for the night - it couldn't have been more convenient. The Grand Hyatt is at the airport. And when I say at the airport, I mean AT the airport. You don't need to get a shuttle like you do to the other DFW hotel - you just walk from your terminal or take the Skylink! On top of that, the hotel was also really nice (huge windows, great furnishings, nice bar, view from the rooftop pool). It's more expensive than the other DFW hotel, but it's worth the extra cost (it's much nicer and right at the airport)! Definitely the place to stay if you have an overnight layover.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Amoni provided the best check in experience. Ahe was helpful, understanding and provided helpful information. Plus she had to deal with my grumpy attitude to a cancelled flight by American.

jill o.

Yelp
It was midnight when we left another sketchy hotel the airline sent us to after a delayed flight. I immediately knew it was not a place I would ever rest my head and quickly found the Grand Hyatt instead. The front desk clerk was professional and welcoming, and got my family into a room immediately. The amenities were perfect. The bed was perfect. The cleanliness was perfect. If I'm ever in Dallas Fort Worth again, this is the only hotel I will stay at. Top notch.

Yelp
Staff was exceptional! Check in was smooth, additional services were scheduled upon suggestion from the receptionist. The next wonderful experience was having dinner. My Caesar salad with salmon and my husband's cheese burger were perfect! The wait staff was attentive, my salmon was crispy outside and super moist inside. Great restaurant!!

We love the DFW Grand Hyatt and all of the staff. We have stayed here many times and it is one of our favorite Hyatt properties.

Yelp
We recently stayed here while visiting family for my moms 75th birthday. My husband booked the hotel this time and truly, I was shocked. Shocked he picked such a good hotel! (Sorry babe, and also thank you!) First of all, this hotel is inside the airport. I know it sounds bizarre. But really, DFW is a gigantic airport and the hotel was in our terminal. We didn't have to take the skyline to get to it. Finding the hotel was easy. We did get turned around one time, but really, it took us 30 seconds to figure it out. The service was great! Not a single person gave an attitude or came across like they were faking those smiles. They had citrus infused water and cookies waiting as soon as you enter the lobby, which our kids LOVED. The room and bathroom were clean! The room faced the runway - I thought it might be loud, but it was not! It was AWESOME watching the planes take off and land. Like really cool! The best part is, their room service is 24 hours! The first night we were there we stayed out till almost 2am with our kids and when we got back, everyone was hungry! We were able to order a couple flat breads and they did not disappoint!! I really want to come and stay here again. We were all just so pleased with this hotel and its location. FYI, if you've never been to Texas, everything is 20 minutes away. Texas is HUGE. If you are flying into DFW, stay here. The convenience of it is worth it alone.

JOhn B.

Yelp
Beautiful place and good food choices!! The staff are very friendly and the van service from the airport is phenomenal. They send you a text so you can see where your shuttle is. Great view of the airfield as well

Angela N.

Yelp
Amazing location and great rooms so glad we where able to rest here before getting up at 3am

Yelp
I was able to get a 3pm check-in when I arrived, which is always a plus. Staff is friendly, rooms and lobby are nice. Everything seems quiet (minus the airplane noise of course). Catering for our event was delicious and the rooms we were in felt luxurious as well. Would highly recommend if you need somewhere to fly into and out of quickly for a meeting. My only concern was how well they clean as there was a ring on the glass of my nightstand from another guest.
google avatar

Zak R.

Yelp
Super convenient for any professional meetings that require flying to a city for a short duration. Also surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel. I literally never heard a single plane. Their gym is good too if you're on a run streak like me. Their food catering for the meeting was also great.
google avatar

Ashly H.

Yelp
Ok! So if you come into town late at night and you're looking for dinner and a drink, don't go here! You will get lied to, called baby and charged an extreme amount of money and for an apology? Nope. No apologies. As soon as you express your concerns and how you are upset, they will call security on you. The front desk said we could purchase our wine up until midnight and we walked into the bar at 11:49 and were told, "I'm sorry baby last call was at 11:45". NOT something you want to hear after calling and verifying and not something you want to hear after traveling all day. Please step up your game Grand Hyatt. Maybe hire some better trained individuals that can handle situations. As well as the manager (food manager) that was on duty and called over, didn't even get involved in the situation, or tried to fix it just acted like we were a huge inconvenience. When we asked for the names of the individuals that mistreated us, the manager said no I am not going to give you any names, and then we said OK give us your card and he handed us his card. You can see it in the photos.

Yelp
I stayed here yesterday night because my connection flight out of DFW was cancelled. I was tired, worn out and aggravated. When I called the hotel to inquire about stay overnight, they were polite and friendly and was able to accommodate my request to use Apple Pay to pay for my room. This hotel is just steps away from the airport. It's literally located right before you go thru security. When I got there to check in around 5 PM, the front desk clerk, Jewel was so friendly and helpful. She checked me in and offered me a bottle of ice cold water and a trail mix snack. She also asked me if I needed any toiletries since I had told her about my canceled flight and that I only had my carry on bag with me. The hotel price is not cheap, but you pay for the convenience of it being steps away from DFW. The rooms are nice and spacious. Lovely large bathroom and it's all controlled electronically from one keypad. Cool. Bed was soft and the towels were nice. I paid for an upgraded view of the runways so I could watch the planes take on and off. The rooms are not loud even though it is right next to the airport. It is pricey but I would consider staying here again if I were to have a canceled connection

Edmond B.

Yelp
I was booked at the Hyatt Regency but accidentally went to the Hyatt Grand (a 5 minute drive away). They told me I would be picked up right away downstairs to head to the Regency. 45 minutes later nothing. After heading back up, they told me I would be picked up and was. The driver said he was waiting and only was notified seven minutes before. I believe him. In the Hyatt Regency defense, Jennifer was lovely. For a $400+ one night stay from the Hyatt brand I would have expected more.

Yelp
I have stayed here several times over the last few years almost always in response to canceled flights. As others have said here, they are so gracious and accommodating even when a lot of the people at checkin are flustered and not at their best. A word to travelers, if your travel plans are interrupted, the people you are rude to dont have anything to do with that including AA staff. Yes it is more expensive than people expect, but here is thing. From the checkout to room service, the restaurants and appointments it is thoughtful and top notch. At checkin she offered me bottled water, chilled and coffee service brought to my room. The room is calming greys with lighting controls, blinds, and super great tvs. The bathroom has a tub and shower, luxury hairdryer and a refrigerator that is stocked(a thing of the past). The air conditioner works great and it is very quiet. Located in Terminal D it is very convenient to go back to security when going back for the next flight and the skybridge has signage and is easy to use to get to the other terminals. Thank you to the staff here for my stay today and other stays....hoping my flight today gets me home.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Nice hotel that makes it super convenient for frequent flyers. Go straight from the terminal to the hotel lobby by just taking one tram and escalator. The rooms are very nice with great bathrooms and view of planes taking off.

Yelp
Dope airport spot. This hotel is right in the concourse, so there is no messing around with shuttles, long walks, transfers, etc. Head on up, and the check in is right there. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. I quickly checked in and headed up to my room, which was spectacular as well. As a person who enjoys watching planes take off and land, this place with the bomb (but dont say that in the airport). I had two large windows in my room that looked right out onto the runway. I watched the planes all night until bed. I ordered room service from the restaurant, which was good as well. You expect to pay the airport/room service premium, so it was pricy, but tasty. I had the burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was also very techy, which i liked. touch pads for the lights, curtains, etc. Pretty neat stuff to see in a hotel room. The bathroom was large, clean, and modern. I really enjoyed the shower, which was roomy and soothing. If I find myself back in DFW for an overnight layover, I will surely be taking advantage of the Grand Hyatt.

Yelp
This place is an oasis in the middle of DFW airport. Was drawn here by a conference put on by a supplier. Super friendly helpful staff, good food and drink, great beds. Will come back again if need arises in a heartbeat.

Yelp
What a disappointment! Lobby was impressive, room was impressive, view was impressive, distance to the gates at Terminal D are impressive. But the sheets were NOT impressive and the towels probably wouldn't even pass Goodwill's standard.
google avatar

Yelp
Missed our connecting flight so while we were dealing with American, I hopped on the phone and logged into my Hyatt account. Had a king room booked within seconds. Great location in the airport, but still clean and nice. They provided all the toiletries we needed, even contact case and solution for me. We ordered room service and it arrived in a timely fashion, tasted good. Alex at the front desk was super! We rolled out of bed and walked to our terminal the next morning. Would recommend for overnight stays at this airport!

Yelp
Stranded after our AA flight was cancelled at 1:15 AM on 6/21/19. I was stuck wandering DFW airport with the my friends and their 3 kids. (ages 2, 6, and 7) Grand Hyatt DFW to the rescue...! Rooms & Facilities: The location at DFW airport is extremely convenient for all travelers. The round shaped lobby/front desk has a contemporary feel with cookies and fruit flavored water. The restaurant and bar area also had a classy contemporary feel and under different circumstances, I'd be there grabbing a bite and drinks. Our room was spacious, clean and felt relatively new. The bathroom had plenty of space with a shower and full bath. Service: After telling them our situation, the staff were amazing with helping us from the beginning to the end. We were contacted us as soon a room was available at 10:00 AM. They even upgraded us to a room facing the runway which has amazing views of planes taking off. Another front desk staff gave the kids some coloring books and crayons to keep them busy. The whole staff was so pro-active with taking care of us on short notice, it was such a pleasant surprise and we were so grateful the Grand Hyatt DFW has a fantastic staff. We need to give a special shout out to Deanna, Monet and Holly who helped us throughout our brief stay.. Thank you so much for being so helpful and caring to us. You made an extremely stressful situation for us less taxing because we were able to get in a room in the morning after 24+ hours of travel and maybe 2 hours of sleep. We will be forever grateful and will never forget your kindness. =)

Yelp
Great accommodations. Friendly staff. Very convenient location. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies are very good.

Yelp
My husband and I went there to use their spa. We bought a daily pass ($35 + taxes each) and we had access to the gym, outdoor swimming pool, steam room and shower. They provided water, toiletries and towels. From the pool, you can watch the airplanes take off and land. It is a nice concept, if you have a long layover or if your flight has been canceled or delayed. You are right at the airport and can relax and workout instead of being bored while waiting.

Yelp
Nothing but praises do I have to this Grand Hyatt. An early flight was on schedule, instead of fighting morning traffic, I decided to stay here overnight. Wow, totally impressed I am with their service, their spacious room, their dining selections, and most importantly, their convenient location to the gates. Without a doubt, I'll be staying here for all of my early flights and will book rooms for all of my one night stay out-of-town friends/guests from now on. CHEERS!

Yelp
This hotel is located inside the DFW airport, terminal D and is so convenient when needing to fly out early or arriving late. We arrived late and were tired, so we went straight to this hotel to get some sleep. John at the front desk was extremely helpful, friendly and gave us a great room overlooking the runway. Watching planes take off while eating and drinking a few drinks from our room was fun. We ordered a cheeseburger and chicken sandwich with fries, both where great. The downstairs bar is nice, although it was about to close we had time to get a few drinks and noticed it was clean and had a friendly bartender. I will definitely stay here again when passing through or visiting the Dallas area.Cheers!

Yelp
We choose this hotel when we were forced to layover in Dallas because we wanted to be pampered and we were not disappointed! The entry to the hotel is not only super convenient from the Skylink with access to all the terminals, but welcoming, especially to two very weary international travelers. The staff at the reception were friendly and must have noticed and offered us bottled water. Nice move guys, we just really needed that kind gesture. We went to our room #411 which looked right out to the airport and the air traffic controller's tower. There was an auto screen and shade that closed with the touch pad, so cool! When we turned on the TV it's always nice to see your name welcoming you, but we also had some kind of message that appeared in the middle of the screen that we couldn't get rid of so we called for Maintenance. I explained our predicament to the super friendly lady on the phone and she sent up Luis within minutes. Luis was very competent and immediately fixed the problem. In conversation we talked about the name on the TV and he shared with us that he always verifies that the names are correct. We had dinner in the restaurant and Maddie was our server. Hubby had the Steak Frites with Chimichurri sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it. I opted for the Market salad with a salmon add and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Don't forget about the bread, oh my goodness wonderful bread. Anytime we are traveling through DFW with a layover we will be staying at the Grand Hyatt. Thank you for making our nightmare day so much better!

Yelp
Easy to stay here as its inside the actual airport. The room was great but I had a lot of luggage and was offered no help .. dining area looked large and loud I opted not to go in alone after flying internationally and just wanted a calmer vibe. The mini bar had items half eaten.. location great but details were missed that would have made things better

Yelp
Elevated Experience. We passed through DFW on our way to HNL. With an overnight layover, we were looking for something convenient. There's nothing more convenient than leaving security and taking an escalator straight into the hotel lobby. The room was immaculate, tastefully appointed, comfortable, and the runway views were spectacular. While we didn't get to enjoy many of the amenities offered by the property due to our short stay (I.e., we really wanted a good night's sleep), our touch points with the staff were professional and polite. Small touches made this experience memorable, including being offered a hot kettle for tea. While the price point can be a bit higher, it can't be argued that this property is a great value, and the staff and location make it worth the cost.

Yelp
I had a layover at Grand Hyatt DFW and dinner at the Grand Met. I was exhausted with all the traveling so when I arrived to Grand Hyatt DFW. I was very impressed with the overall service . I recieved and room in a more quite area of the hotrl. I also given a coupon for free appetizer at the Grand Met restaurant in the hotel. After I made it to my room I was so impressed with my room it was very spacious and evrything was touch tone. After getting settled in my room. I was hungry and tired so I asked the front desk staff if there was a good restaurant in the hotel. All stated that the Grand Met restaurant received many awards, that was it. I walked passed the elevators and right into the Grand Met. I was immediately welcomed and sat down for some dinner. I ordered a cocktail and decided on the the pork belly but they were out. I initially disappointed but I decided on the muscles and they were delicious and had a little kick to them and the rustic bread was an extra crunchy one the outside and perfect for dipping in the broth. After that delicious appetizer I chose to have the dish called Pappardelle, it caught my eye as it was braised beef with homemade pasta. I was very disappointed in that dish and when I informed the waitress she was very obliging. My waitress was very apologetic and offered me another menu, it was a bar menu. After viewing the menu, I decided on the beyond burger with the caramelized onions no cheese on a brioche bun. It was absolutely delicious and very flavorful. Of course I wasn't able to finish it all but it was a winner. I had no room for dessert but I finsih with a nice glass of red wine. I was given a thank you gift it was 2 macroons and chocolate and I headed to my room. I was impressed with my room. The entire room was computerize touch screens. I really nice mini bar. I was able to connect my phone to the television and watched some tele it didn't take me long as my kingsize bed I slept like a baby. Oh I almost forgot thry have the these oatmeal cookies they were called Harvest Cookies and they were so good. The front desk staff gave me a bag ,stating that you can't just have one so I had 4 lol!! I had awaken to go to the bathroom and there was a card from the staff at the Grand Met apologizing again for the dish that I returned. They were very understanding and welcoming back to Grand Met. When ever your in the DFW airport make sure you stay at the Grand Hyatt DFW located off Terminal D and definately eat at the Grand Met for a delicious dinner and friendly atmosphere. Until my next foodie adventure, lets eat our way throughout the world #FOODIE4LIFE!!

Yelp
This hotel is one of my favorites and I always look forward to staying there the night before i fly home when I can work it out. Their rate almost always exceeds the allowable government rate, and so I either need to pay the difference out of pocket or use points, which I am always happy to do. The hotel is architecturally and cosmetically spectacular. The menu in the bar and restaurant is elegant and exciting, and the staff seems to have a professionalism and enthusiasm that is a notch higher than most of the hotels I stay at. I also enjoy the fitness facility and try to get a workout in. The in-room robes are a treat and something only the best hotels offer.

Yelp
I came down to the Hyatt a couple times over a month for some meetings. Both times the experience was excellent! Located just off the D gates in the airport, it's super convenient to get to. It also makes it easy to get back into the airport - I was able to get checked out and to my gate in about 10 minutes. Additionally, they're able to give you a pass to get back inside the gates if you so desire to grab a drink or food in the airport. The lobby is a level up from the concourse with very welcoming front desk agents and bell men. The rooms are classy with nice beds, large bathrooms (ours had both a tub and shower) and ample space on the desk. I also really appreciated the floor to ceiling mirror wall outside he bathroom. I made it easy to see the wrinkles on my pants! The only non home run was the TV - little small and off center. Minor issue, but definitely a spot to improve on. The alarm clock was a bit annoying as well - looked nice, not intuitive and with a light that was really tough to figure out. The outlets on the table between beds were on the shelf below and while there were plenty, they weren't immediately obvious. The shades here are pretty sweet (at least on the runway side). Sheers and shades made things plenty dark when needed and revealed huge windows when up. Watching planes take off or watching a storm is always surprisingly relaxing! The windows also kept thing remarkably quiet. The restaurant downstairs is solid with a nice bar, lots of seating in and out of the restaurant and with a good menu for breakfast and dinner in the actual restaurant. The pool and gym are located in the 9th floor. The gym has plenty of elliptical machines, treadmills, nautilus machines and free weights - above average for a hotel! The sauna and accompanying showers were also quite delightful! The pool was closed, but is located outside and on a nice day, I imagine it to be spectacular! The conference rooms downstairs were very nice and the staff did an incredible job of keeping things both clean and the drinks stocked. After getting done with the meeting, the checkout was quick and efficient. All in all, this place was a home run! Super convenient, super nice and everyone was super pleasant- it's rare that a hotel in an airport leaves such an impression, but they did so here. We'll be back next time we're in town!

Yelp
Transportation within airport IS horrible!! Paying $400 a night at the hotel and zero organized transportation to your premier on airport property made the ENTIRE one night stay HORRIBLE!! I booked the hotel for airport concierge and avoiding time with rental car pickup/drop off. Front desk rep called on my behalf as I walked to the location he advised. 10 min waiting and I called. 10 more minutes and I am now into almost a 30 min wait! Unacceptable and the reason I will not recommend or book this property again!!

Yelp
I had a small celebration of life for my dear friend at this property, and cannot say enough good things about the support and service we received. From the initial contact through the on-site management each, and every one of them were exceptional.
