20 Best Bangkok Hotels, From Grande Dames to Converted Canal Homes | Condé Nast Traveler

"Delivering a quintessential five-star experience, I noted over-the-top amenities like a house Mercedes and even a helipad, alongside Erawan Spa Cottages that face gardens. The rooms offer oversized soaking tubs, rain showers, Nakamichi stereo systems, free-flowing cocktails, and a personal spa concierge; their Sunday brunch is widely regarded as one of the best in the city." - Jenny Adams

"Grand Hyatt Erawan epitomizes modern Bangkok —it's big, busy, and well-located. The hotel is almost its own stop on the Sky Train, and once you step outside, you're on one of the most active corners of metropolitan Asia. Although the Grand Hyatt is linked to a shopping mall via a sky bridge, the world slows down a touch inside the hotel. The comings and goings of suit-clad men and women and shoppers clutching huge bags creates a soft-edged urban atmosphere. The high-ceilinged, almost colonial-feeling lobby sets up a pleasing contrast with the clean lines, neutral tones, and natural light of the spacious rooms. The hotel is kitted out with lots of technological perks, such enhanced work desk lighting and LCD screen TVs, and the service is attentive."

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok

"So, anything special this hotel is known for? Grand Hyatt Erawan does one of the best Sunday brunches in the city, one that attracts a lot of locals. There's also the Erawan Tea Room, which does an award-winning high tea. We'll definitely have to try the Sunday brunch. What about the neighborhood? Does the hotel fit in, make itself part of the scene? Help orient us. The hotel is located right next to Erawan Shrine, which is a popular tourist site. It's also directly adjacent to all levels of shopping at Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, as well as MBK, one of Asia's largest malls. It sounds pretty central; that's perfect. Tell us what we missed—are there any tips you'd like to offer up? The Erawan Spa Cottages are a cluster of resort-style villa suites that all face gardens. Oversize soaking tubs, rain showers, Nakamichi stereo systems, free-flowing cocktails, and a personal spa concierge are just a few of the many perks." - Jenny Adams

"Adjacent to the Erawan Shrine, this hotel’s refurbishment in 2017 and central location are a boon to travellers. Rooms effortlessly blend classic Thai touches with contemporary design and offer tasteful luxury. Spa Cottages are perfect for those requiring extra rejuvenation and the grand lobby is impressive and inviting. Dine on Thai classics or enjoy afternoon tea at Erawan Tea Room." - Tablet Hotels

Great location, friendly staff. The food at the hotel was good and you can order from a variety of restaurants within the hotel, which was lot better. If you like going to the gym... The Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is the BEST ever.... Clean, spacious and has all the equipment needed. All the amenities and more... so happy I stayed here.

An Oasis of Luxury in the Heart of Bangkok! Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok was nothing short of spectacular. The hotel itself is breathtaking—it has a classic, grand elegance that makes you feel like you’re staying in a palace, yet it’s perfectly located right in the center of the city’s energy. The outdoor pool area is a total hidden gem. It’s surprisingly large for a city hotel and surrounded by lush greenery, making it the perfect escape from the Bangkok heat. We also spent some time at the i.sawan Residential Spa & Club, which was incredibly beautiful and relaxing—truly a world-class wellness experience. And then there’s the breakfast buffet... wow! "Insane" is the only way to describe the selection. I’ve stayed at many high-end hotels, but the variety here is on another level. From traditional Thai dishes and noodle stations to fresh pastries, exotic fruits, and Western favorites, there is something for absolutely everyone. You definitely won't leave hungry! Everything from the service to the atmosphere was top-notch. If you want luxury and the best breakfast in Bangkok, look no further!

We stayed two nights at this hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent surprise for the price. The room was comfortable and offered a lovely view of the golf course. The décor is a bit dated and not exactly my style, but it suits the overall atmosphere of the hotel, so it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options and consistently delicious food. The team working there was also incredibly friendly and attentive. The lobby is impressive, and during our stay there was a wedding taking place: the decorations were beautiful and created a truly magical ambiance. The staff throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. The pool area and its service felt genuinely luxurious. From the greeting on arrival to the complimentary fruit and even the bell on the sunbeds, everything contributed to a very relaxing experience. Thank you to the team for that. Although the hotel hosts many families with children, everyone was very well-behaved : no shouting or running around which made the stay even more pleasant. I will come back for sure

A little dated decor but excellent service at reception and bfast. Had crabs on Sat morning! Blueberry tarts run out. Fresh mango, fresh juices. They deliver cooked eggs of choice to your table. Room was comfy, clean, with plenty of water and black out curtains. Nice spacious bathroom. Lots of mirror in room which I like. Turn down service.

We loved our stay here. Location is very convenient, within walking distance to several malls such as as Centralwolrld. It is noticeably busier than the Hyatt regency down the road. Everyone who works there were helpful and attentive despite being busy. While we have globalist status, we did not receive an upgrade since the hotel was busy. However, the standard room was nice and spacious. Check in was smooth as they brought us to the club room / lounge on 17th to check in. The lounge has a good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast buffet in the lobby was very good. The happy hour in the lounge was great as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful throughout our visit, making us feel genuinely welcome. The location is amazing ,convenient and perfect for exploring the area. While the rooms are a bit dated, everything is very clean and well maintained, which we truly appreciated. A special mention goes to Gai in the club lounge, who took great care of us every night. The pool area is beautiful and a great place to relax, we didn’t get a chance to try the spa this time. Thanks to the wonderful staff and exceptional service, we will definitely be back again! Ashlie & Eran

This hotel doesn’t really deserve 5 starts yet I have no alternative. The service is excellent. The staff attentive. At the pool they will put the towel in the lounge chair for you and bring (free) tea. You have a button to hail them. They keep the place tidy. It’s great. The gym is immense and has almost everything. The location is perfect and you don’t have to play in a labyrinth of elevators to get to your room, like so often in Bangkok. The breakfast is a glorious mess. The Grand Gyatt uses its lobby for everything: check in, breakfast, waiting room… it’s full of energy and honestly intoxicating. You feel like breakfast itself is an adventure. The choices are enormous and quality surprisingly high. The room I was assigned was a slight upgrade due to my Hyatt status (thank you for that), but still ended up being a bit dark and sad. It might have been good a few decades ago, but today it feels very much 4 star hotel. It’s not bad, it’s just a bit depressing and I never really wanted to stay in the room, whereas in some hotels you’d feel like spending days in your room. A good hotel and good value if you can get it, but it’s often full unfortunately. Also interesting, despite being affordable, it manages to keep unsavory people at bay (mostly). I only had one issue with two young children fighting around the pool for half an hour, but the rest of the stay was tranquil. Usually cheaper locations bring tons of families on a budget who don’t always behave. Somehow this wasn’t the case here. Will try this hotel again with a better room and see how it goes.

Hotel is fine and service is great. The location is ok if you like hell on earth. The world's loudest speaker is right outside and pumps music at levels which are hard to describe with words alone all. day. long. There is so much traffic and so many pedestrians that it is very overwhelming, but I think that is Bangkok in general. Not my kind of place.
