Grand Hyatt Hangzhou

If you’re planning for a trip to Hangzhou, I’d recommend staying at the Grand Hyatt Hangzhou! The hotel’s location is unbeatable, sitting right on the east side of Xi Hu (West Lake), with sweeping views from my room and a rooftop patio that offers a front-row seat to the lake's beauty. The peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings were the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind. I also loved the indoor swimming pool, which is bathed in natural light and kept at a perfect temperature—ideal for a dip no matter the season. It’s a little oasis in the middle of the city. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with an expansive selection ranging from freshly baked pastries to local specialties and a variety of fresh fruits. The hotel also offers a range of dining options, from steakhouse to a Michelin Guide-listed Chinese restaurant. And there’s even a mall right next door, making it extremely convenient to shop and grab a bite! If you’re visiting Hangzhou, this hotel is the perfect place to stay for comfort and convenience, offering a luxurious experience with world-class amenities and breathtaking views of West Lake, all with an impeccable service.

I’m glad I booked two nights at the Grand Hyatt and two nights at the InterContinental Westlake, allowing me to appreciate the significant difference between the two. At the Grand Hyatt, every staff member, from the bellboy to the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping, exhibited a strong sense of hospitality and genuine care, namely, Kevin, Joe Li, Celina Pan, Evan and others I miss to mention. They went above and beyond to help us to solve the data issue and entertain our every request to ensure a pleasant stay. Despite my request for a room near the elevator on a high floor, they also offered a partial lake view within close proximity, which we greatly appreciated. Guest services promptly attended to our every request. Our room is impeccably tidied by Sandy who nicely greeted us when we passed by.||The hotel's attention to detail in amenities was impressive, with high-quality brands like Balmain and Dyson featured in the room, making the experience even more comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered an array of varieties, including local cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed and already miss. Each morning, the selection was enhanced with new items, and the quality of the food and fruits was exceptional.||Being just a road crossing away from West Lake, we found it easy to access boat tickets and travel carts for exploring. We truly hated leaving this wonderful hotel and its warm, attentive staff.

We visited Grand Hyatt Habgzhou 12/19-12/22. The hotel is very convenient to walk to the west lake. Great west lake view at 8th floor club lounge. 5 mins walk to Yintai shopping mall so you can imagine how busy the traffic there especially during the weekend. Overall great service and quite convenient experience during our stay at this hotel.

I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Hangzhou. This was our second time staying at the property - our grand suite was nicely appointed with an amazing view of the lake. The spread at the Grand Club for breakfast and happy hour were the best I’ve experienced at a Hyatt property in the last three years. Service was friendly and well intentioned - I would specifically like to thank Ms. Luo and Ms. Lv from the Grand Club team as well as Ms Paige Tan from Housekeeping for making our stay truly exceptional.

I specifically booked a lake view room and even checked in early, only to be given a room with a porch with a majority blocked view. I feel very misled by this, as I chose this hotel and paid a premium specifically for its view to the lake as widely advertised. To make matters worse, the staff could only offer us a room tucked away in a corner. The location of the hotel is the more positive aspect, with walking areas to the street vicinity nearby, but my overall experience was severely disappointing due to the room issue. I expected much more from this stay.

The hotel location is right in front of west lake, very convenience and good location. Behind the hotel is a shopping paradise, all branded items are right there. Hotel staffs are helpful and well train. Room are clean and bed are comfortable. In the room you can view the beautiful west lake.

A fantastic location near to the Lake and near to the big shopping area. Very nice place for business or leisure stay. Clean room, solid breakfast offerings, very nice service from the front desk. Highly recommended for your stay in Hangzhou, the most amazing city of fine gardens, pine and bamboo forests and most all, a 10/10 food standards!
