Grand Josun Busan (Busan, Korea) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Grand Josun Busan is grand indeed, enjoying commanding views from a high-rise façade over Korea’s perennially popular Haeundae Beach. Glass, marble, and Art Deco lighting fixtures lend a touch of opulence to public spaces, including an exquisitely furnished all-day lounge and cocktail bar. There’s also an indoor-outdoor pool and onsite sauna for more private relaxation than the beach can offer. Contemporary, clean-lined rooms feature luxe touches like parquet flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows." - Tablet Hotels

Stayed at the Grand Josun Hotel in Busan with my family of four (2 kids under 6 years old), and choosing one of the kids’ rooms was absolutely worth it. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and set up in a way that made traveling with young children feel easy. One of the biggest highlights was the pool. Both the indoor and outdoor pool areas were amazing. The kids enjoyed every minute of it, and we even squeezed in one more swim before checking out because they didn’t want to leave. The outdoor pool area especially had a fun, resort-like feel that made the stay feel more like a vacation than just a hotel visit. We also took advantage of the laundry facilities, which were convenient and easy to use, especially for a family stay. Staff throughout the hotel were polite and helpful without being overbearing. The lobby and common areas were clean, modern, and clearly well-maintained. Location-wise, it’s in a great spot if you want quick access to Haeundae Beach and the surrounding restaurants. The only real downside was the parking garage. It’s on the smaller side and can feel tight (when compared to U.S. standard), especially during peak check-in times. However, once we were parked, the rest of the experience made it easy to overlook. The elevators were quick, which helped when managing kids and luggage. Overall, it’s a great family-friendly hotel with standout amenities and a fantastic pool setup. We had a memorable stay and would absolutely come back. Efficient: Yes First-Time Friendliness: Yes Would I Return: Yes JY review

Worst hotel experience in South Korea. The room had a strong mold smell and the bathroom was not clean. We were upgraded after complaining, yet customer service wasn’t exactly the best. An apology offered only after checkout was a moot point. The main issue was the sauna. The women-only sauna requires full nudity. As Muslim women, we said we were willing to wear bathing suits, just not be fully nude. That was dismissed outright, and we were told to wear our bikinis in the mixed pool area, which felt especially pointed given that we were clearly covered Muslims. We have been staying in hotels across Korea for the past two years, and this is the only one where we encountered something like this. Considering that it is marketed as a five-star luxury property, the experience was especially disappointing. It seems other reviews raise the same issue around treatment of foreign guests, particularly in the pool and sauna areas.

Originally booked another hotel for our 4 days 3 nights stay in Busan but decided to book Grand Josun when I walked past it on our first night while we were at Haeundae Beach. It looked majestic and I didn’t have second thoughts about forfeiting my hotel booking - it just felt like “take my money!” and no regrets! We checked in our 2nd day and stayed in the ocean view room, the view was breathtaking. It made me realize how small I was in this big world. Need I mention that the room was so clean and well equipped. The staffs were always on standby and very helpful - thank you. To add on, we were travelling with kids and the facilities on the Josun Junior level was very handy! At night, we felt safe enough to leave our kids in the hotel room while we strolled the beach - the location of the hotel is very strategic. The whole shop area at your doorstep and the beach at your backyard. The hotel is a true example of royalty - we were sad to leave but we will be back!

A luxury hotel with great access to Haeundae beach. Beautiful view of beach from the infinity pool. Good sauna, indoor pool and gym and a stone throw to the traditional market, Busan X the sky and Mipo station for the beach tram and capsule ride. Had a wonderful and lovely stay with kids.

Perfect location. The beach is literally outside the hotel and across the road is the main shopping street in Haeundae. Very convenient. Just one minor con: the soundproofing of the hotel door is not very good. Each morning as early as 7am, I can hear the housekeeping activities going on outside the hotel walkway.

I stayed here for a few days in September. The lobby is beautiful, and the service is quite attentive. The elevators can take a while, even though there are six operating; something they could probably improve by tweaking the system. The Premier Ocean View Suite offered amazing views of the beach and skyline, with mountains in the background and floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathroom, however, is quite small, and I didn’t love that the shower is inside the bathtub. Overall, it feels like the lower end of a five-star hotel. You get a couple of complimentary drinks in the fridge once during your stay. Housekeeping keeps the room clean and tidy. The private club was alright. There aren’t a lot of drink or food options, but you can enjoy soft drinks, coffee, wine, beer, and champagne with great views. Breakfast was a highlight. They offered a variety of Western and Korean dishes, and both the quality and service were excellent. The location is fantastic. You can reach Haeundae Beach in just two minutes since it’s literally right next to the hotel. Behind the hotel, there are hundreds of restaurants, bars, and shops, so there’s plenty to do. Nothing to complain about there. BTW, Busan has a lot of amazing bars. Overall, I recommend this hotel for a casual and comfortable stay that feels neat and semi-luxurious. But if you’re looking for a true five-star experience, Signiel might be a better fit.

Rooms are decently maintained, but there restrooms fixtures are falling apart and there is no place for one to hang any towels or clothes (in the restroom) after showering/washing up. The location is perfect. The beach, the local markets, a bunch of eateries, and close taxi/subway to department stores. You can skip the breakfast buffet if it’s not included in your room (though most places open between 9-10am—so if you’re hungry early bird, the hotel buffet may be your only option.) The kids suite was amazing. Our kiddos (ages 18 months, 3, and 4) loved playing in the room. There’s a slide, climbing net, a large space to run around. 10/10 perfect for families.

Upon arrival to the hotel, no one offered to help us with our luggage, even after checking in. No one offered. We saw other people getting help for their luggage, but unfortunately the service was horrible for us. I even mentioned it to one of the workers, as we had passed multiple hotel workers and there was a lack of initiative. This was the worst service out of all the hotels on my trip :/ For being a 5 star and the high price charged, it is such low quality service. I only gave two stars instead of one because the one worker apologized, once i came to him. Overall, the actual room is really nice and clean, though would recommend another hotel, as other hotels give extremely better service/amenities.
