Best Places To Eat While Black Friday Shopping in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"With a menu as big as Texas, everyone in the crew while shopping at the Galleria will find something to suit their tastes at this restaurant. Plus, the grand interiors give a real sense of escape from the mall. For a quick bite, order the kale and warm grains or the sandwich special, with a half a chicken salad, turkey, or BLT paired with soup and a mixed green salad." - Courtney E. Smith

First visit. The staff left us with a great impression. The food we ordered was great. The margarita and blonde beer topped it off. The sour dough bread and real butter was tasty. Would definitely recommend and will come back our next visit to Dallas.

I visited this location for the first time. I’ve been to grand Lux before both in Houston & Austin. The food is always great! It’s a beautiful restaurant. The service was good, our server gave us several great recs as we were undecided. The apps were delicious, the calamari was light & airy. The garlic shrimp pasta was great it was the lunch portion and it came with a salad. The cheesecake did not disappoint. I would absolutely be back.

Located right in the heart of a shopping mall, this upscale restaurant offers a refined dining experience with a diverse and extensive menu. The quality of the food is truly outstanding — from appetizers to main courses and especially the wide selection of desserts, every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The menu is impressively large, catering to many different tastes and preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or adventurous, you’ll find plenty of tempting options. The dessert section, in particular, stands out — it’s almost a course of its own, with more than enough variety to satisfy any sweet tooth. While the culinary experience is top-tier, the service leaves a bit to be desired. The staff, although professional, were not particularly warm or attentive during my visit, which slightly affected the overall atmosphere. That said, if you’re looking for excellent food in an elegant setting — and don’t mind the premium prices — this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit

Google
Great ambience, very tasty food and friendly staff. The portion sizes are very reasonable and so are the prices. We had the mahi-mahi sandwich and the fish of the day which was seared salmon, both great.

My friend took me out for a celebration and to enjoy the delicious food they offer during happy hour. 😌Everything we had tasted great! I would definitely go back specifically for the chicken lettuce wraps—they were my favorite! Everything was so good, but that dish stood out the most. Also, our waitress KC was amazing!

Google
Great place to eat and then visit the Galleria Mall through a direct hallway. Atmosphere and decor are splendid. Extensive menu has lots of tasty options. Pricing is not bad, perhaps a little high for some items. We went for a late lunch. Our grand fried calamari appetizer; chicken parm pasta entree; chicken with mushroom and brown butter pasta entree; salad; and sourdough bread were all very tasty. My chicken with mushroom and brown butter pasta portion seemed skimpier than the last time I went, and needed more sauce. Desserts looked great, but we had no room left since we had a large appetizer. Service was good given that the restaurant was so busy at 2 PM.

I recently visited Grand Lux Café to celebrate my birthday with my kids and significant other. I chose this restaurant for its kid-friendly options and connection to The Cheesecake Factory, which I usually enjoy. The ambiance was pleasant—bright lighting and aesthetically pleasing décor—and the restaurant was clean, even though we arrived after 9 PM, close to their 10 PM closing time. Initially, the service was acceptable. Our server, Caroline, eventually brought us bread after a bit of confusion, and our orders came out correctly, which we appreciated. However, the experience became unpleasant when it came time to pay the bill. Caroline made a point to inform us she hadn’t added gratuity, as is customary for parties of six, and implied that she expected a substantial tip. While we did intend to tip, her approach felt unprofessional, especially as the service throughout the meal didn’t reflect the level of gratuity she suggested. After my significant other signed the bill, Caroline reviewed the tip in front of us, openly expressed dissatisfaction with the amount, and escalated the situation by confronting us further. This led to unnecessary tension, drawing attention from other staff and patrons. Despite our efforts to resolve the matter—including adding to the tip and even offering to send additional payment via a cash app—Caroline continued to argue, creating an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation. To make matters worse, when we requested a receipt to verify the transaction, she initially refused, which required managerial intervention. While we paid our bill and tipped a total of $17 on a $159 tab, the experience with Caroline left a sour taste. Though the restaurant itself has potential, the unprofessional behavior of the server and the mishandling of the situation overshadowed any positives. Sadly, based on this experience, I won’t be returning to Grand Lux Café.

Google
Tried the Korean Fried Chicken and it was crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat—definitely a standout. Paired it with their Piña Colada, which was super smooth and tropical, not overly sweet. Great combo! The atmosphere is elegant yet casual, and service was on point. A perfect stop after shopping.

Yelp
Grand luxe never disappoints. Restaurant wasn't busy. Always clean, elegant, intimate atmosphere. We went Friday evening for early Mother's Day dinner. Nox...if I remember correctly was our waiter. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Food is always too notch and fresh. My sister had the garlic shrimp pasta and I wish I had ordered it. It was delicious! I ordered the volcano shrimp...yum. The Caesar salad was huge..slip with my mom..yet one of the best I've had at a restaurant. Baby sister had the double burger..she could finish it all but said it was good. Daughter had the kids pasta, huge portion again but she liked it. Mom had the salmon 3 ways...OMG!! I should have gotten that as well. Food over all 10/10. No dessert this time but I will always recommend their key lime pie, apple pie and butter cake. Can't go wrong with any of those.

Yelp
I stopped by here bc I had relatives that came to visit and they wanted to eat here. Their younger kids actually love this place and requests it every time they come down. The service was great! My salmon three ways, was not my forte but my relatives did like the fact that they're really accommodating and our server was fun and honest. The people who ordered the Sunday Night Pasta really liked the dish so I'm kind of curious on that now. Maybe if I get the chance to go again, I'll try that myself.

Yelp
Best $20 entree in the Galleria. They have a few options that are cheaper, but I couldn't believe the value of the $19.50 options that included soup and salad and fresh baked bread to the entree of your choice. Look at the photo and tell me that's not an impressive spread! For the entree, I had steak poivre (steak medallions cooked to order and topped with a pan sauce rich with mushrooms and carmelized onion), which was so good you wanted to sop up the sauce after finishing the steak. It came with garlic fries. I'm not big on fries but enjoyed these. My salad was a mixed baby greens "house" salad with a creamy, chunky blue cheese dressing. My soup choice was creamy chicken and mushroom. And the fresh-baked wheat bread they brought to the table with a side of real butter was amazing to me. I don't eat a lot of bread but I loved this! I came for lunch at noon on a Tuesday, followinga recommendation from the Galleria concierge. I was seated immediately. They had a large wait staff and I was well-attended. My waitress was friendly. The ambiance is a little bit Vegas, putting the Grand in Grand Lux. I will come here again next time I'm at the Galleria.

Yelp
We had dinner here while in Dallas. It's a beautiful build adjacent to the Galleria Mall. This restaurant reminds me of the Cheese Factory. Pricing seem a little higher. They have a nice cocktail menu. I ordered the Mai Tai. Pretty and delicious drink. For dinner I just had their traditional pasta dish. It was good but nothing too spectacular. Wait staffs was great.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a snack and beverage... enjoyed the decor vibe was perfect ordered some appetizers calamari and a salad some wine and a Stella nice place.

Yelp
Wth is this? I ordered a med rare steak frites via DoorDash, and called to ask them to make sure my steak doesn't get overcooked anything over med rare, close to rare is fine, just not over. And this is what was delivered to me! GARBAGE WELL DONE RIPPED APART MEAT! It's supposed to be an INTACT STEAK PROPERLY THICK AND PROPERLY COOKED! I used to love grand lux and was excited to see that I could order them finally on DoorDash. My miso salmon was fine the other day, not great, but fine. But this is a joke! It's insulting and fraudulent! This isn't even an actual steak! Ripped up pieces of well done meat. Unreal. Tried calling to complain and no one answered this time round.

Yelp
I always enjoy the breakfast at the Lux. I enjoyed the Dallas location as well as Vegas. My go to is the biscuits and gravy then add chicken strips. The French toast is amazing as well. Both choices is a lot of food. I always get great service.

Yelp
Such a cool place for brunch! It's situated inside the Galleria. If you cannot find parking try valet. Nice menu selection, good sized portions, and good service. We went for brunch. Pancakes are delicious with crispy edges. Bacon was a little too crispy. Get the beignets! Recommend getting on the waiting list so you can be seated right away.

Yelp
I've been to Grand Lux a few times and each visit has been fairly decent. I like that their menu has several options and the prices are reasonable. This go-round, I chose the simply grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall, everything was well-seasoned and tasty. I also had a cocktail, a Mai Tai. Let me just say, this drink was bomb. If you like fruity drinks, this was is for you. But, FYI, the alcohol kind of sneaks up on you. This location is attached to the Galleria mall so keep in mind that depending on whatever time you go, parking could be limited. The restaurant itself is pretty big though, so there is plenty of seating.

Yelp
Grand Lux is an awesome place to stop at if you're shopping at the Galleria or just in the area. Much like the Cheesecake Factory, they have an extensive menu with food options for everyone. The restaurant itself is spacious and there is a lot of varied seating. Our food came out very quickly and the portions are large here. I highly recommend the mac n cheese skillet and the crispy avocado salad. They're both so good and filling. I also enjoyed the fried provolone cheese, which I believe is a new appetizer on the menu. The bread they bring out at the start is great too. The service was just okay, which is why I knocked off a star. Our server forgot about a few things (like cheese on the cheeseburger and later brought it out on a plate when asked about it, so it wasn't melted). Someone in my party got food poisoning from the burger served also. Overall, I enjoy the restaurant and while I probably wouldn't make a long drive to eat here, I would consider it heavily if I was in the area!

Yelp
Food was delicious! We enjoyed every entree. Even though they were busy, we were seated promptly and service was superb.

Yelp
The food was good. The service ok. You get a decent amount of food. I was able to bring my plate home and share with my kiddos. They looved the pasta dish I ordered.

Yelp
We had the most amazing lunch at Grand Lux Cafe! The food was some of the best we have ever had. Josh is amazing! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. 5 stars!!!
google avatar

Kenya W.

Yelp
The food was actually pretty good! I really enjoyed the Cajun pasta which was seasoned perfectly. The ambiance feels like a Cheesecake Factory setting which seats a lot of people which was nice for the party that I was in. I would definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
This place Ambiance is beautiful. The hustle and bustle of people moving in and out. The service was excellent. Our Waiter Christian was attentive and very polite and accommodating. My granddaughter can't eat seafood so he assured her her calamari would be cooked separately. It came to table hot and fresh no reaction to calamari. Drinks on point strong. Really a nice place.

Yelp
Went here a while back and overall, had a great experience! What I ordered: Avocado Wontons, Chicken Parmesan, Miso Glazed Salmon, Hawaiian Smoothie, Warm Butter Cake, New Orleans Beignets, and a Red Velvet Cake. The avocado wontons are something I personally wouldn't get again, they didn't taste that good to me. The chicken Parmesan had an amazing flavor and mixed perfectly with the spaghetti. I loved the miso glazed salmon - it was bursting with flavor and the veggies and rice complimented the salmon real well. The Hawaiian smoothie was incredible! It's a blend of pineapple, mango, and coconut and you could taste all three ingredients equally. The warm butter cake was hands down my absolute favorite! If you only want to have one dessert, I highly recommend this one. It's a little crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the vanilla ice cream & fresh strawberries compliment it real well. The New Orleans beignets were awesome! They're light, airy, and have a little crunch to it. I enjoyed it with the chocolate sauce the most. The beignets are one of their baked to order desserts, so it takes about 20 minutes to prepare. The red velvet cake was also great, but personally, it was way too sweet. It's delicious nonetheless and sure to satisfy anyone that has a sweet tooth!

Yelp
Came in for a late lunch and we were seated immediately. Service was good and the restaurant was much larger than I initially thought. They had some high ceilings and interior decor reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory (same owner apparently). We had the brown butter, chicken, and mushroom pasta and a steak bento box. The past was good. In addition to the chicken and mushroom, there were also some sausage meat and some a breadcrumb topping. It was delicious and the breadcrumbs added a crunchy bit to it. It also came with a side, I got a house salad. The bento box was a fun mix that came with garlic fries, side salad, and a soup. Steak medallions were cooked properly to medium rare, as we requested, and the wine sauce was also good. We got a cauliflower soup as part of the bento box and it tasted like cauliflower, which we enjoyed.

Yelp
I have seen some bad reviews but you gotta remember this is one of those chain restaurants that produce food like this. Adjust your expectation (not lower the expectations) and you will have a good experience. I've had salads, sandwiches, pastas etc. here all were decent. It's very similar to BJ's brew house if you have to compare to another chain that's not Cheesecake Factory. I have to say the service is excellent, every time I go, the staff there work very hard to fulfill every guest's wishes and you see them running around because the restaurant stays busy all the time.

Yelp
I've always wondered how the food was here since I've been to the galleria mall a lot and I'm glad I stopped by with my friend. It is owned by cheesecake factory but the menu is much shorter. Inside of the restaurant is really nice and elegant but the bathrooms we really bad. Definitely use the mall bathrooms. They serve breakfast and lunch/dinner and we came during the dinner on a Friday night. Our server Hugo was phenomenal. He was courteous, gave us time to order, engaged with us but overall he put a smile on our faces. We both got pasta dishes which were great! The brown butter rigatoni was great but not necessary healthy since it's loaded with butter. My friends gluten free dish was excellent as well. Definitely want to come back for breakfast!

Yelp
I brought my granddaughter here for her 1st time and was hoping she would enjoy her visit. We were seated immediately by the friendly hostesses and were quickly greeted by our server, Oscar. He brought us each water as asked but forgot my lemon and I thought for a minute - ugh. But he was pretty busy - it was lunchtime on a Saturday, after all and the mall was packed. Oscar offered to help us with our appetizer, since we couldn't make up our minds. We chose the crispy fried provolone cheese and it was so good! Plenty to share and the dipping sauce was great, also. Our main courses - salmon for her and the chicken lettuce wraps for me were brought quickly and were both very tasty. Oscar checked on us often and kept an eye out for us - that matters so much when you'd like your water topped off or a dessert menu! Neither of us finished our food but we both ordered dessert - I got the deep dark fudge cake and she got the best carrot cake. Great food and great service - we were very happy!

Yelp
We had a great lunch here recently. The location has a large amount of seating. The wait staff was friendly. The bar area is spacious. The menu was large. The avocado wontons, southwestern chicken salad and chicken supreme bento box lunch specials were all great. We can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
The service was great and the meals that we ordered were both wonderful. Our waiter Derrick was amazing!!
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
The best beignets in Dallas. Fluffy, warm and simply delicious. The drinks are good too, I like the mimosas there, but in general all the drinks look elegant and tasty. The restaurant is large but on weekends there is a wait to be seated. Some of the waiters are good and others not so much, but it's worth going because it's a nice place in general and the food is good.
google avatar

Clarice C.

Yelp
Planned a surprise birthday dinner for my husband birthday. I wish the restaurant allowed reservations on Friday. However, our group of 6 was seated fairly quickly. Overall, our experience went very well. We all enjoyed our entrees. I ordered the short rib tacos with a side salad. I would recommend this dish.
google avatar

Gardesha W.

Yelp
The food never disappoints. Our waiter was great and attentive and the ambiance always gives.

J S.

Yelp
We have been here many times for lunch and it never disappoints. Love the music and atmosphere, and the staff/service is always very good They serve excellent food, especially their hamburgers. Actually in my opinion, they have the best burger in town. Lol, I wasn't intentionally trying to be a burger snob, but seriously the flavor of their burgers is incredibly good. I've been all over the DFW area, and now when I'm craving a good hamburger, this is really the only place that I want to go. I love a good mushroom/swiss burger, and theirs is exceptional. We live in Ft Worth area, and drive to Dallas because it never disappoints. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Nice looking place. Cool appearance. The service this week was not good - leaving items all over the bar. Bartenders ignored me a fair bit. Good news, mgr took care of things quickly. Similar food as Cheesecake Factory. Sorta middle of road in quality.

Yelp
Grand Lux is what I'd consider to be a "jack of all trades, master of none" type of restaurant. Certainly, it is one of the better (but more expensive) food options in the Dallas Galleria Mall. This place can get rather busy, but I've still received good service the couple times that I've dined in. Wait times aren't terrible either. The best menu item I've had here is the Mango Ice Swirl smoothie! It's delicious and has the perfect consistency and sweetness. 5/5 drink!! The Wood Grilled BBQ burger is solid, although I wish the onion rings were crispier. 4/5 The lunch special is described as a "bento" box.. but it's just served on rectangular plates. It was alright; more of a healthy option though. 3/5. Calamari was also just ok; flavor was mediocre and it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. Not the best calamari but not the worst either. 3.5/5.

Yelp
Went here for dinner with my friend.. the host who sat us and took our order were not very nice.. very cold and rude staff! The food however was nice.. we ordered chicken and shrimp spring rolls for appetizer and then fish and chips for the main course. Both tasted great! Will try for brunch the next time.. maybe the staff during the day will be nice
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
We went on a weeknight, no reservations - got right in. The place is big; lots of seats. Several choices of drinks; the Grand Lux Margarita was great. Had about two dozen appetizer/small plate choices - massive amount of variety. Lots of different salads. Dinners include chicken made several different ways, top notch steak dishes, several types of pasta, and a half-dozen fish and shrimp options. Goes from basic fare, to blending with various sauces and vegetables. Something for everyone.
google avatar

Saryn T.

Yelp
Love the food, everything else is mediocre First time at a Grand Lux Cafe and I'm happy to say that I will be sticking to the Cheesecake Factory. Since I couldn't decide I what to order the other person in my party and I decided to split a side of Caesar salad, side of mac & cheese, and an appetizer of Kung Pao Cauliflower. I loved the food, the Mac and cheese was crispy and the cauliflower was an excellent take on fried cauliflower! (The salad was nothing special) Now for the negatives: the restaurant itself was clearly old and needing an overhaul. The cushion were covered in stains and the napkins shed all over my skirt (would not recommend for a fancy dinner) Our waitress was friendly but seemingly unsure with the menu and incorrectly gave us the salad prices leading to confusion and a wrong bill. Overall, a yummy but not so lovely time and I won't be back so soon.

Yelp
We had some food delivered, they were very quick in getting our order to us. Ordered the florentine omelette, blueberry pancakes, and eggs with hashbrowns and sausage. Delicious! We also got the chocolate cake and cookies for later... OMGG, so good! Make sure to get some milk to go with the cake because it is super rich.

Roxann L.

Yelp
Great food and service! We stayed at the hotel near by and it was a nice casual place. The lemonades are so fresh and made at the bar.
google avatar

Natasha B.

Yelp
The food here was a true disappointment. From the hard bread to the flavorless meal I had thought grand luxe was a higher version of Cheesecake Factory but I was wrong we spent $100 on food that just wasn't up to par. The restaurant seems old and outdated and the food reflected this. I recommend they close down and bring something else there instead.... For context I had shrimp scampi and my partner had a turkey burger I had a mai tai to drink which was the only good thing ... I also noticed a slight smell in the restaurant just a total disappointment all together! I sent my scampi back it didn't taste fresh! Would not recommend!
google avatar

Koe L.

Yelp
This place was good... great food, the ambiance was nice, tables and floors were clean... the waitress was new on the job and she had a lead helping her... they both did an amazing job with explaining their soup of the day and with giving us recommendations on the food and drinks... I appreciate knowledgeable waiters/waitresses that to me says that they actually take pride in their job.

Yelp
As usual I'm out and about with my family celebrating my cousin's 19th birthday and he decided on Grand Lux. Now the first thing that came to my mind was cheesecake with strawberry topping It's been a minute since I've been to GrandLux and I must say we were very disappointed. We waited almost an hour after our "reservation" to be seated and once seated everything went down hill. There were 9 of us as 2 of his classmates who work in the mall decided to join us. Our waiter took about 15 minutes to come introduce himself and still didn't take our drink or appetizer orders. Finally he comes back and took our drink orders however it took about another 20 minutes to receive them and I had to inquire about my Grand Lux Margarita and other alcoholic beverages we ordered and he stated the bar was backed up. Finally everyone gets the drink they ordered and finally we placed our appetizer orders needless to say they took forever to arrive as well but we're starving at this point so no one cared enough to complain. Our food orders were placed and keeping up with the pattern it took forever to receive our entrees and when we did the birthday boys order was wrong. At this point I was over it. My salmon was dry, flavorless and the mashed potatoes were cold many of the other guest weren't pleased with their orders either but why bother complaining it would have taken two hours to reorder and receive our food. My grandson needed to use the bathroom and OMG I was very very shocked at the condition it was in completely unacceptable. Although the restaurant itself was clean and tidy there is no excuse for the bathroom looking the way it did. All in all we had a great time talking and celebrating and our waiter who I promised him would remain nameless states that the issue is they are understaffed and overworked and are in desperate need of more wait staff, kitchen/prep cooks and bartenders. He also stated he's thankful to have a job but it's stressful working under those conditions and not every table is as understanding and generous as we were. This chain can surely do better!

Yelp
My hubby and I went for our Anniversary, our first time eating here. The food was great, the waiter was attentive and nice, we had reservations, but was early and was able to get right in. It was crowded, so the atmosphere was nice.
google avatar

Kai L.

Yelp
I love the dim lighting and how extravagant it feels. The servers were nice, Dave was our waiter and told us about Hawaii and had amazing energy! Would go back just for Dave! (And why it's a 3 star rating instead of a 2 tbh...) Food 1. Bao buns -- we got the pork belly buns and they were good, not worth $15 2. Asian nachos -- fried rice had some really hard pieces, there's a mayonnaise wasabi sauce that wasn't my fav, I liked the creamy texture of the rice that wasn't hard 3. Mushroom, chicken, brown butter pasta -- SO filling! Chicken and Italian sausage were good, big pieces of mushroom, tasty! 4. Asian salad -- huge portion, liked the chicken, tastes like a traditional type of Chinese chicken but rest of the salad we didn't like For the price point, the portions are huge, just have to find the right dishes that are good, sadly we didn't love anything we got this time. Would be a better deal to come for the lunch special you get a free side.
google avatar

Gabriella S.

Yelp
Always a great idea to make a reservation bc the wait can get crazy depending on when you visit. Menu is HUGE there is something for everyone. Portions are also HUGE! Even for the kids menu items. I forgot and ordered both of my kids a child spaghetti and we had to pack one full to go bc the serving is so big. You are better off having them share depending on how much your children eat. We love this place and continue to return, family friendly great location. We'll be back.

Yelp
Another great meal with Grandlux Café. The best part of it is the service. Shay is phenomenal. She knows the food makes great recommendations and her smile brightens our day. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Shay !

Yelp
This was my first time going to Gran Lux and I was impressed. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Nice size food portions, good drinks and family friendly! The ambiance is nice!
google avatar

Kasey H.

Yelp
It's like the Cheesecake Factory - big menu, big portions, and somewhat big price. Love the ambiance, but we did takeout this time. The pasta was delicious, but the other two dishes seemed smaller in takeout form. A good place to go every once in a while!
google avatar

Paley W.

Yelp
Went there because I had a positive experience at the vegas grand lux, but the food quality has really taken a dip. I'm not sure if it's location or the items we order is like this everywhere. We started off with Asian Nachos, and they put way too much sweet sauce on top of everything. It was barely edible. The nacho chips itself was really greasy and the rice in the middle does not taste like authentic Chinese fried rice. It taste like if you took regular already steamed rice and just hand mixed everything in it. I also got a shrimp scampi and it was the most greasy and creamy thing I've eaten in a long time. It was really hard to finish and I'm not sure why the shrimp was fried. It's definitely not how I remembered shrimp scampi at most restaurants. The service was ok; our waiter was very friendly.
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
Pot roast cheese fries & butter cake make me happy! The service and food is always amazing!
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Service was fine, but the food quality is not. Salads swimming in dressing and food was rather greasy. I'm not a huge fan of Cheesecake Factory (except their desserts), but this was not even the same quality as CF (which owns GLC). Save yourself some money and eat elsewhere if you're visiting the Galleria. The stars are for our waitress who was working hard to make sure we were taken care of during our visit.
google avatar

Yelp
The chocolate Martini are the bomb! The cajun Salmon was very tasty. The waitress was very polite

Yelp
Beignets we're Awesome! Service is always the best. My waitress was Brianna and General mgr Billy are the epitome of how to treat customers. Such an atmosphere of hospitality.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Score: 4.5 When you walk into Grand Lux Cafe, you'll immediately think you're in a wannabe Cheesecake Factory, and in a way you kind of are. Grand Lux is the little brother of the Cheesecake Factory, and is owned by the same parent company. The menu features a wide variety of items from traditional bar and grill food, to specialty offerings. Just like the Cheesecake Factory, Grand Lux is the perfect option to accommodate a large group of people wanting different types of food. They have burgers, salads, pasta dishes, steak, Asian influenced fare, and a selection of desserts. I came to this location last night for a light dinner. I ordered the Asian Short Rib tacos small plate, a side of brussels sprouts, and beignets. Everything was great. The tacos had a really good flavor and was served with a really good spicy mayo sauce. The beignets were large and were served with three dipping sauces. The white sauce was my absolute favorite of the three! The service I had was excellent! My waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I wish I knew her name, but she wore glasses in case that helps to identify her. The restaurant was very clean and I loved the music playlist. The music is loud here, but the sound system has great quality so the music doesn't sound distorted or feel like you're in a club. The restaurant is a bit dark however. I was seated at a booth by the window and there was no light fixture or candle at my table. If it wasn't for the light at the table across the aisle from me, I would have been sitting in total darkness. A real or faux candle on the table would have made things better while still keeping the ambiance. The only other Grand Lux I've been to is the one in Vegas for breakfast and it was excellent there so I look forward to coming to this one for brunch. I will definitely return!

Yelp
I chose this restaurant, the Grand Lux Cafe, to celebrate my spouse's birthday because I had heard great things about it. From the moment we walked through the doors, I could see why it was called "grand." The interior was beautifully decorated, with luxurious furnishings and a stunning chandelier that immediately caught my eye. It reminded me so much of The Cheesecake Factory, which isn't surprising considering that the owner of the Grand Lux Cafe in Dallas is also the owner of the famous Cheesecake Factory franchise. Unfortunately, my excitement for the get-together was dampened because I was battling a terrible flu. Despite feeling under the weather, I was determined to make the best of the celebration. Thankfully, my friends who joined us loved the restaurant. They raved about the attentive service, the extensive menu, and the exquisite presentation of the food. Even in my weakened state, I could see their plates filled with delicious-looking, beautifully prepared dishes. Although I couldn't fully enjoy the experience that day, I am certain that I will return to the Grand Lux Cafe in the future. The impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and elegant ambiance make it the perfect place for any special occasion. I was also impressed by the convenience of making a reservation beforehand, as we were promptly seated upon arrival. Additionally, finding parking was a breeze, and the restaurant's central location made it easily accessible.
