Grand Hotel Cancun | Best places to stay in Cancun

"This plush beachfront resort sits on the best stretch of beach in Cancun. All rooms come with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, separate lounges and a large ocean-view balcony. Interiors come in cool, contemporary, creams and light greys offsetting those turquoise ocean views, with soft fitted carpets and thick glazed French Windows that allow the ocean breeze in yet keep all noise and wind out. Beds are draped with high tread count Egyptian cotton, bathrooms have walk-in rain showers, tubs and Asprey soaps. Facilities are first class – with Mediterranean dining under chandeliers, steaks with piano jazz or food by candlelight under palm-thatch in a private pavilion right on the beach. " - Alex Robinson

Skip Grand Oasis Cancun if you value good food and a stress free trip. My stay was nothing like what an all inclusive should be. On the first night, almost every dining option was either closed early or “at capacity,” so the only thing left was a tiny buffet with food that looked like it had been sitting out too long. Not exactly the welcome I expected.|What really pushed this resort onto my never again list was the sales pitch they rope you into. Ours dragged on, and the representative kept tossing around the idea of a huge penalty fee if we didn’t follow their presentation schedule exactly. It felt less like a tour and more like we were being scolded. Even breakfast during the meeting was weirdly controlled, like we were only allowed to choose certain items. The whole thing was uncomfortable and unnecessary on a vacation.|The property itself looks great on the surface. The pools are nice, and the beach is genuinely beautiful. But access is another story. Bars were constantly out of basic drinks, lines moved slowly, and beach chairs seemed reserved for select guests. We ended up going off site just to get decent meals and avoid the hassle.|In the end, I’d rate Grand Oasis Cancun around half a star.|Pretty place, but the service, food, and overall experience don’t match the promise of an all inclusive. I won’t be staying with the Oasis brand ever again.

OKAY LISTEN UP||Here is my honest review. Last time i was here was 16 years ago and A LOT has changed. Tbh, I give this resort like a 3.5 out of 5.||ROOMS:|omg the room we stayed in was lowkey dumpey and the washroom was so nasty i literally took the fastest showers just to get out because there is no ventilation and the finishing was disgusting. literally closed my eyes every time i was brushing my teeth because wherever i looked i thought i was going to throw up. we had the lagoon view with a massive generator running. at first it was horrible but then i actually enjoyed the white noise.||FOOD:|buffet lines are long and the food is lowkey like prison food. everything runs out pretty fast and the late night snack buffet is pretty much leftovers from the buffets from dinner. the restaurants however at 10/10. book your reservations for the steak house and dos lunas asap. their food was actually really good. i really liked the mexican restuarant as well. my boyfriend and i literally ordered everything off the menu cause why not lol.||BEACH: |TO DIE FOR. yes people hog the chairs for no reason but honestly just snatch as you find one. but tbh you wont need it because once you enter the water you will not want to come out. just reserve a chair or two by the pool and leave your stuff there. youre welcome.||ENTERAINMENT:|the beach club was meh i mean it only lasts like 2 hours but they do play music from 11-5 which is nice. lots of booty shaking and what not. nightly entertainment was fun but only lasts until 10:30 and then it shuts down. bars are open until 11 and the havana sports bar, well good luck getting in there... if youre young, take the bus or taxi or whatever to coco bongo but also be careful what you get into because you never know whats waiting for you.||SAFETY:|overall pretty decent, we didnt leave the hotel but there were some dudes trying to sell us water phone cases and vapes and stuff and one said he had blow so just be careful because they can be kinda creepy. you can find these weirdos sitting at the entrance of the beach club or lurking around at night around the resort. weridos.||OVERALL:|i'd give this resort like a 3.5/5. Would i come back? absolutely not. I loved the beach the most and i wish i was still floating in that gorgeous gorgeous water.||P.S. IF YOU FIND BIG SHELLS OR CHONCHES JUST KNOW THAT SECURITY WILL TAKE THEM AWAY FROM YOU AT THE AIRPORT SO THROW THEM IN UR CHECKED LUGGAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!||ok bye

Our recent stay at the Grand Oasis Cancun was the dream of tropical getaway, designed for total relaxation and the seamless enjoyment of the Caribbean lifestyle. This resort sets a vibrant scene, the true standout feature was the culinary experience. The all-inclusive dining was a true highlight a symphony of flavors where the chefs served up international cuisine ever. Every buffet and specialty restaurant offered a delightful indulgence, earning a resounding "hmm yummy" with every plate. Beyond the dining, the resort excelled in comfort and service; our room was spacious, the variety of on-site activities was great, and the overall maintenance was well-handled. While housekeeping was scheduled for efficiency, servicing the rooms every other day, the quality of attention was always high. Considering the incredible value, the stunning setting, and the memorable dining, I confidently give the Grand Oasis Cancun 4 stars across the board. This resort offers a truly wonderful experience, and without a doubt, I would eagerly choose to come again to fully live that tropical lifestyle.

I’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, but this was by far the worst experience ever. The entire place is pure chaos and absolutely not suitable for anyone who expects peace, comfort, or even basic respect. Children are running and playing inside the restaurants, throwing food around and disturbing everyone. Parents don’t care, and staff never says a word about it. Having a normal, quiet meal was impossible. The pool area is no better: sunbeds are reserved early in the morning with towels, and then people disappear for hours, while the hotel does nothing about it. As a result, most guests end up without a place to sit. The atmosphere around the pools is honestly disgusting. People are vomiting right next to others, and no staff reacts quickly or keeps any kind of supervision. This should NEVER happen in any resort. At night and early in the morning there is constant noise in the hallways. Doors slamming, people shouting, kids running around… getting a proper night’s sleep just doesn’t exist here. Management does nothing: no supervision, no rules, no control. Everything feels neglected and unorganized. The all-inclusive food and drinks are below average, the staff seems uninterested, and hygiene clearly isn’t a priority. In short: This resort is an absolute no-go. If you expect respect, peace, hygiene, and normal behavior, do NOT book here. I will never return Los padres realmente necesitan enseñar a sus hijos modales básicos y respeto. Un resort no es un parque infantil, y es sorprendente cuántos niños aquí se comportan sin ninguna supervisión ni límites. Una buena educación evitaría la mitad de los problemas que sufren los demás huéspedes

Addition to previous review. We finally got moved to another room. One hot water tap and AC was not working. Waited 2.5 hours to get it fixed. Discovered later fridge was not working properly but didn't bother reporting it. To TOP the entire trip off, on the night before departure, there was a RAT on our balcony that tried to get into the room. We were on the fourth floor...never, ever experienced this ever before. Told staff but they didn't seem to care. On the positive, the beds, shower, pool, coffee/ice cream shop were great. Staff were polite and helpful. However, any staff that appeared to have a higher paying position were totally unprofessional, rude and not helpful. Our concierge, Raphael, and one of the female concierges were very rude, dismissive and not knowledgeable. The concierge, Pedro tried to help as much as possible. The beach has no lounges. DO NOT waste your money on this resort. Anyone we spoke to said that they would never come back.

We booked a two bed room and were given one bed and after 4 hours they bought in a roll away bed which I had to sleep on for the entire stay as they just kept saying they're fully booked. The all inclusive restaurants are mostly booked out 3 days in advance and when you do finally get a table at one they're half empty and my brother got food poisoning from one of them. The drinks are poured generously however there seems to not a lot of liquor content or its watered down. The beds are extremely hard and the bathroom wasn't cleaned to a decent standard. I would never go back to this resort

We stayed here for a week, do not buy into the sales pitch, the Oasis travel club for 10 years is approx $10,000. this place was okay but|not sure we’d come back. The base buffet is not good but if you get the black bracelets which is an up charge of approx $600 a week for two people you get better food. The buffets, coffee shop and other restaurants are better with the black bracelets. The room was good for the most part and our cleaning lady was nice. She brought us an extra blanket because our a/c wouldn’t shut off.we reserved a nail bed but ended up getting our own drinks because the waiter didn’t come around enough but they were nice. It takes a couple days the pools were a nice bit a lite cold. No hot tub at all anywhere! The Asian place has small potions so order extra stuff . The steak house meat was tough; but they did have a good salad bar ahead of time. the Italian place and Asian was probably my favorite.

Unfortunately our experience was very low compared with many previous visits to Cancun-Hotel Zone and staying at similar class/level hotels in the same area. You will enjoy a beautiful beach and nice swimming pools here, but get used to do very long lines to get food and drinks at bars, even over 15 min waiting lines to get into the breakfast buffet, then another line inside the buffet to get eggs/omelettes. Very low quality drinks/coktails prob the lowest I’ve ever seen in many countries, including Cuba. You need to do upgrade$$ in your stay to get access to all the good restaurants, even the restaurants that are included and you book for, you need to pay extra for regular wine or upgraded drinks. You need to pay a deposit for one lock to use your room lock box. There is no hot tub/jacuzzi at the hotel included in your stay. You also need to pay to get access to one, as many other things you take for granted like beds near the pool and beach or just for using the tennis court. Seriously, you need to pay extra for. Upgrade prices are not reasonable either. There is evidently lack of staff for the size of the hotel and to service the capacity of people/rooms they have. We have to make 2 requests and wait 3 days to get our room serviced. We were expecting a better experience when choosing Grand Oasis Cancún for our 7-nights all-inclusive stay, but it end up being a downgrade this time visiting Mexico. We are a couple, no kids, no picky about food, easy going and did not expect a major service, but a smaller hotel at similar or lower price will likely give you a better experience and higher quality service.

Yelp
Grand Oasis Cancún is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's nestled on an island, on what they call "Resort Row." The city bus stops right in front of the driveway to the resort, so getting around is a breeze. My only complaints were that there were leaks everywhere! It rained a bit during my stay, and it was also raining inside, lol. But seriously, very dangerous combination when mixed with tile floors. My other complaint is that the property is not very ADA friendly. There was A LOT of walking/stairs involved, so be prepared for that. The food I give a 5/10; it wasn't the best, and wasn't the worst. But it could definitely be improved upon. Over all, I enjoyed my stay here at Grand Oasis Cancún. I would stay again if I'm ever back down in Cancún! Total: 3.5/5 stars.

Yelp
Unsafe, overcrowded, and poorly managed - very disappointing stay I stayed at Grand Oasis Cancun and unfortunately had a terrible experience. While walking on the hotel's own grounds, I ended up with a glass splinter in my foot. Accidents can happen, but what shocked me was how unprepared and unhelpful the staff were. I went to two different hotel staff members for assistance, and neither of them could properly help or had the right tools to remove the glass. No basic first aid, no real sense of urgency or concern. In the end, I had to go to a neighboring hotel to get proper help, which is unacceptable for a resort of this size and price. It felt like guest safety and basic medical readiness were not a priority at all. On top of that, the constant queues and long wait times really ruined the experience. The food court always had a line, and it felt like there was a wait for almost everything - food, drinks, activities. Instead of relaxing, we spent a lot of time just standing around waiting. Overall, between the safety issue, unhelpful staff, and overcrowded, poorly organized services, I cannot recommend Grand Oasis Cancun. This stay was far below what I expected and I would not come back.

Yelp
They say that this resort is fully inclusive. It's not. It's fully selective. Want a reservation to a restaurant? Not available days in advance. Want to go to a restaurant that doesn't require reservations? Not available. At several points I was offered drugs in the hallway. The staff was joking and laughing with the man who was selling. There is no complementary room service. For 5 nights, housekeeping came once and gave us half the towels we started with. The concierge, while in concept would be beneficial, were basically useless with making reservations, assisting with excursions purchased through the app, getting any type of service for the room (towels or drink replenishment), etc. Paid over $80 USD for a dinner at Le Petite Chef for my steak to be served raw (requested medium well). The staff in the buffet can serve you alcohol and drinks. They just tell you they can't because they don't want to be troubled. How do I know? I tipped once in advance and was able to get anything I asked for. The buffet is the only option available the majority of the time. Children were eating the toppings off of the cake at the buffet. The cooks who serve food made to order were only interested in serving women in bathing suits and avoided my party and even told us they couldn't make things. The Hippie Shack area was constantly out of food, with extremely long lines, and was very low quality. If you take an Uber, the taxi drivers tell you that you have to leave the resort to catch it (this is a lie - the driver will come right up). This resort was not very English speaking friendly.

Yelp
The Pyramid Cancun: GOURMET PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE Booked: We booked this resort via CheapCaribbean. They offered transfer from/to the airport but we decided to rent a car. Hertz car rental: Free airport pick up to/from hertz. About a 10 min drive from airport. CHECK-IN: We literally had to wait until about 4p for our room to be ready. Mimosas, little sandwiches and desserts are in the check in rooms. You get your resort band, to fully explore the resort, even if you need to wait for your room. Kind of a long wait to check in, there was only 2 persons doing this. We left our luggage with concierge. they also brought them across the resort to our room, which was great!! WRIST BANDS: So, apparently, you get a different color wrist band depending on the type of room you get. We had a suite so we got a BLACK wristband. Unknown to us, that meant we had access to Everything on site. For those with blue band, they were limited to food options and/or had to pay a premium fee. Make sure you understand this before paying so you don't feel tricked when you book PARKING: Free, onsite ROOM: We stayed in the Pyramid Master Suite. "Made up of one comfortable bedroom and a spacious living room, this is the ideal option to enjoy with a wide array of amenities and huge picture windows to amire the Caribbean scenery. Jacuzzi (subject to availability, not guaranteed)". Bed was super comfortable. Two large TV's (bedroom and living space). 2 bathrooms with showers. Kitchenette in both spaces. Mini fridge was only stocked with coke / diet coke, beer and water. Coffee and espresso was in both rooms too. We had a jacuzzi outside of our room, with privacy. The Jacuzzi water was maybe 75 degrees, it was cold to me. There was also a 2 person table , 2 pool chairs, and a "cushioned" bed in this area. We were able to control our own room temperatures. The room was great! Room service at night or in the day were also offered here Housekeeping: We did not get our room serviced for 2 days. It wasn't until the last day , we called housekeeping and stopped a house keeper to make sure they serviced our room. We ran out of towels, wash clothes etc. Thankfully we brought a set of our own. Would have loved the trash to have been removed...etc. FOOD: Food is scattered throughout the resort. Buffets are at either side of the resort, so be prepared to Walk. Food was very mid. I often left food places still hungry Tatish buffet: Good selection. They do NOT offer mimosas during breakfast White Box: I left a review on their page. Tapas style entrees Black Sens: Pay extra for this, dining in the dark. This was pretty cool and fun! Le Buffet at Marketplace: Good selection of breakfast and dinner. Mimoas are available and other drinks. Hippie Chic: Little area open mid day to early evening. The food was hella salty or bland (depending on what you got). Bar area here. Food options of cerviche, tacos, chicken, fries, burger, hot dogs RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS Most evening restaurants, you have to reserve thru the app OTHERS: Fontaineblue: This was only open in the evening. Nice bartendars. During the day, this space was used for people to purchase packages Cigar lounge: You can purchase and smoke inside. You can also smoke outside of here Gelato and me: Good ice cream and gelato Kinky club: Open on weekends, they are just shows Evening activities: There were nightly events planned, but we didn't make any of these BARS Most had long waits, especially around the pool areas. Drinks seemed watered down POOLS This resort is about 90 percent pools, so if that's your thing - this place is for you! Plenty of open pool chairs/lounges that you didn't have to fight for one There is 1 adults only pool. Long bar wait. This area was fun tho. SPA We had a spa experience. Easy to register. Massage was an hour. Included in our package was a facial masque. Then we spent time in the sauna, steam room, dipped in freezing water, and spent time in the indoor pool. Afterwards, we laid out on the beach cabana, where there was also a bar ACCESSIBILITY: This resort is not handicapped accessible. No elevators, anywhere that I saw (and even looked for). You can walk across the resort pools using a long/high "bridges" that connected everything together. Many ramps were too short for a wheelchair to use. There were many "drop" off sidewalks, where you just fell down without warning to the sidewalk below CHECK OUT Come to find out, there was a concierge in our building. We were not told about it. Every time we needed help, we trucked to the main lobby which was a nice little walk. We were able to check out in our building. They cut your wristband off and you're good to go OVERALL This is probably a great relaxing resort if you're interested in hanging out by the pool, reading a book, getting some food just to not be hungry. It was largely quiet, which wasn't bad. This is not a turnt up spot, if that's what youre looking for. You have to walk far for food/events.

Yelp
This place is very dated staff is not very nice and act like Immigration demanding passports. Like don't you know that we Californian's cross over to Mexico and fly from TJ. The restaurants don't have any availability and the all inclusive is a joke they offer cheap tequila and same old buffet style food. All the ceviche is disgusting! We did a presentation for a timeshare and after my 2 hours they kept insisting but I said NO! They got upset and declined our transportation back to airport. It's ok we made it to our flight. Never again will we stay here or recommend this place to anyone!

Kelly H.

Yelp
Filthy room in disrepair, horrible food and staff, construction everywhere, loud, pool falling apart. Just nasty

George L.

Yelp
The resort falsely advertised ALL INCLUSIVE, and many of the services are separate fees. The room services are charged separately, and many restaurants are closed or fully booked when trying to eat a family dinner. My daughter had money STOLEN from her room and one of the self proclaimed managers, who wouldn't give her name, said there's NOTHING SHE COULD DO. A horrible resort experience overall.

Yelp
Nice hotel, rooms are a little tight but not to bad, patios are small, barely get a chair on it, hard to relax with a coffee in the morning and stretch out, bathrooms large, service is good, all inclusive with mini frigid with beer water and snacks, lowest level restaurants are ok same with buffet, Bahia steak house is the best at lower level (3 levels) good steaks and salad desert bar, pools are large with lots of chairs, beach is done many stairs making it a good and stair climb, snack shops with dogs, burgers, tacos, ceviche, gelato is good for a fast snack, coffee shops provides lots of options and pastries open early and late. Staff very good, nice cigar lounge and small casino on site, blackjack, slots and poker. Nice shows and entertainment scheduled each night, nice app to find info

Yelp
We had a blast! The resort is amazing , I have stayed here twice now, last time was in 1998. The entertainment is the best part . The singers at Kinky are better than Las Vegas. The dancers are on point and keep shaking all day. Food was delicious, free coffee all day kept me going. The baristas are top notch. Going to go with a Pyramid room next time.

Yelp
If I Could Give Zero Stars, I Would Been to Cancún more than a dozen times and never had a stay this bad. Grand Cancún Oasis has four all-inclusive tiers, and if you're not in the top ones, expect to be turned away from bars, restaurants, and even the gelato shop. That alone is ridiculous, and Expedia didn't mention any of this. My room wasn't clean. The place is outdated. At 4:28 PM, they were hammering and painting in the room above me--I could smell it in my room. I called the front desk, got transferred three times, then finally told to come in person. When I did, the staff member was rude and unprofessional. The few nice staff can't save this place. Honestly, this stay was so frustrating it made me feel like I'm done with Cancún. Don't waste your money.

Yelp
Always a great time when we go. Food could be better but then again place is affordable I am not picky so it's fine. Beach is nice. Staff has always been amazing

Yelp
My family and I experienced an appalling series of issues during our stay that not only ruined our vacation but also cost us thousands of dollars. Below, I have outlined the numerous problems we encountered: The hotel was in a dilapidated state, with pictures online being very deceiving and not at all accurate. Hotel lost power twice while we were there. The power went out the first night for the entire night! And with temperatures reaching 90 degrees in the rooms. We had to have my grandson sleep on a bench in the hot lobby. The air conditioner in our room did not work even when the power happened to be on., and there was no air conditioning in the main areas such as the lobby. FOOD POISIONING! No restaurants were open, and the food that was available was terrible, resulting in food poisoning for three of us, including my 5-year-old grandson. Despite calling the service desk over 12 times to request new sheets after we vomited up due to food poisoning, no one brought them. I had to pay a maid for extra sheets and put them on myself. FUNGUS IN THE POOL! Confirmed by the doctor on site! Both my grandson, and I developed lesions from the pool, for which we had to pay $95 for anti-fungal medication from a doctor because the hotel wouldn't supply or pay for? . The manager was seen fighting with a lady who was begging for a resolution to the heat in her room. Although there were open rooms in half of the hotel that had power, the hotel staff refused to move any guests. There was no hot water in our room. Black mold in shower and on showerhead Chair loungers by the pool had mold on them The hotel primarily offered buffet meals, and everything else was closed, making it impossible to get edible food for my grandson. Despite having black bracelets as an upgrade, we were unable to order room service without additional charges. The lights in our bedroom were flickering. Some of the waiters were extremely rude. Construction was ongoing throughout the hotel, causing constant noise. Loud music played until late hours of the night. Bottled water was only available for purchase. Blended drinks were not available. We paid for an ocean view room but did not receive one and were told it wasn't guaranteed. Water was leaking throughout the hotel, creating huge puddles. Cockroaches in hotel Rust on mattress We complained every single day, yet nothing was made right. Given these significant issues and the distress caused, I HIGHLY suggest you spend your hard earned money somewhere else!! . Our experience at this hotel was beyond unacceptable, and I strongly urge you to pick another hotel!!

Yelp
2 stars because the resort is right on the beach which is always a beautiful amenity. We lucked out and got an ocean-front view from our room at the Pyramid. I should have done more research on this place before booking, but the vibe looked fun and they had a 24/7 casino. It was a long day of travel and then our party of 4 waited over 1 hour to check in. The line wasn't even long. I have no idea what was taking so long. By the time we were checked in, everything was closed. We asked multiple workers if anything was open and we were told different things. We would walk all the way there and it was closed. Everything closes at midnight or before. Our friends ordered room service and after waiting another hour they said the food was horrible. They force you to download an app to learn all about the resort. Now I'm getting more junk emails than I ever have. All inclusive, they boast, but not everything is included. No drinks inside the casino were free. Some of the restaurants were not free. The food was cafeteria quality. I used the app to see what was open one morning, and I wanted to walk to a green juice place. The place did not exist. I asked multiple people and was walking all along the beach for 20 minutes, sweating, and the place was nowhere to be found. There was always a line for the bars, so it didn't seem too exclusive. I say skip this place altogether.

Yelp
Horrible hotel. Nasty smell in the room. The food was nasty. The people and staff seem nice

Miguelangel R.

Yelp
First thing first when you walk in you think you're going to have a good time and yes the entrance is extremely nice and beautiful. But we walk around for 2 HOURS with no help to our rooms. When we finally got to our room it smelled like chemicals. We asked for our room to be switched but they said there were no other rooms available. Since we were hungry we went to a place called the Happy Chicken. Since we there late there was 10 min left until they closed. I was waiting for some french fries and some guy cut me in line and he was also ordering French fries. So when I went to order French fries the guy said "sorry we are closed". I had to get my dad into this and the general manager didn't do a

Luna S.

Yelp
Overall, not a bad resort. We had a great time there, but there are a few things to pay attention to while you're there, especially if you're getting the "Grand Oasis" plan (and not the 'Pyramid' or 'Sian Ka'an plan) which are the more expensive plans. Check-in: Check-in is pretty simple - there is a table counter right by the entrance you walk up to and they check your name with a paper list and you get your wristband put on which will also function as your hotel room key which you will have to keep on throughout the duration of your stay. If you're a VIP guest, there is a special VIP check-in room. Room: The room looked exactly as how it is pictured on the website - had a nice ocean view with our "Grand Ocean View" double room. "Mini bar" comes with 4 cans of coke, 2 bottles of water, and a few bottles of beer. The sign on the fridge says that you can get it refilled upon request, but when I tried to request a refill I was told that they don't refill the fridge and only stock it up upon check-in. If you would like more bottles of water, you can get them from the concierge on the main floor. Housekeeping usually came between 11:00am-1:00pm, and if you leave after 1:00pm, housekeeping generally won't clean your room, even if you request for it on the app. Rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap. If you miss the housekeeping window, you can also request for more towels and bathroom amenities via the "Chat" feature on the Oasis app. Restaurants: If you do not have the more expensive wristband options and have the basic blue one, please note that not all restaurants are included. This was something we had not realized until we got to the resort. The included restaurants are highlighted in the paper photo attached to this review. Of the restaurants included in the basic blue wristband Oasis plan, you will mostly have access to the buffets, a few outdoor food courts by the pool, and a few sit downs - Bahia Steak House will require a reservation which can also be made on the app. Il Forno is a nice sit down option with Italian food and we liked that place a lot. Hacienda Sarape will have live music performed and we even had the musicians ask our table if we had any requests for songs to play. The food was a mix - sometimes fresh, sometimes not so fresh - especially if you go to the buffet and I did get food poisoning once - so just make sure to only eat the food when it's fresh at the buffet. Activities: There is usually some kind of musical/dance performance every day and also some classes such as zumba, yoga, etc. that you can attend. I really enjoyed the fire show - there are 2 a week and each fire show has performers spinning objects with fire on them which was pretty impressive. There is also a light show, but I do not recommend that if you are sensitive to lights as that show is VERY flashy. Beach: Being right next to the beach is a big plus to this location, and you can easily walk to the beach through the Oasis beach club. There is a foot wash station by the beach and you can also view the beach from the Oasis Beach Club pools (note that the left side is reservation only but the right side is open to everyone). There was a lot of seaweed on the beach. Check out: Checkout time is very crowded by the elevators and elevators are cramped so I'd recommend heading to the check out counter or express check out machines early to make sure you can check out on time. Check-out is done either at the check-out counter or at the express machine which will ask you to enter your name and room number and then you will have to give a check out receipt to the person by the entrance and have the wristbands cut and hotel keys returned. Main takeaways/tips: 1) Pay attention to the list of restaurants to make sure the one you're going to is included 2) To get more bottled water, ask for bottled water at the concierge desk (do not drink their tap water - it is not safe!) 3) Expect to not get housekeeping services after 1:00pm 4) Download the Oasis app so that you can reserve the Bahia Steak House if you'd like to eat there as well as request for towels and bathroom amenities if needed via the chat feature

Yelp
Disappointing Experience at the Grand Oasis Cancun (to say the least) We recently stayed at the Grand Oasis in Cancun for my brother's wedding, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Before booking, we requested a suite that could accommodate my family of five, but we were told there were no such options available and had to book two separate rooms. However, upon arrival, we found out that suites were available, but the staff refused to let us change our booking. Instead, they offered to "upgrade" one room while keeping us locked into paying for both. We decided to make the best of it, but when we checked into the two rooms, the problems began: Room 2602-S: The light didn't work The shower wouldn't drain The room wasn't cleaned (the coffee pot had moldy coffee, which our toddler drank from) No soap was provided Room 2602: The air vent dripped so much that it created a puddle, causing my daughter to slip and hit her head Both rooms also had issues with: Not enough towels or pillows A crib we requested took over six hours to arrive, long after we had already put our son to bed No clean drinking water provided (we were dehydrated) Loud music until 11 PM made it impossible for the kids to sleep The on-site restaurant we were allowed to use shut down mid-meal due to an electrical fire, and there was no milk available for our two-year-old. When we brought these issues to the staff, they were unhelpful, only offering a minimal discount to upgrade one of the rooms. Since we were stuck there for the wedding and had no choice but to stay, we decided to upgrade, hoping for better conditions. Unfortunately, the suite (Room 1518) had similar problems: The toilet didn't flush The fridge was never stocked (including drinking water) Towels, coffee, and other essentials were constantly missing The vent leaked water, creating a dangerous situation where my daughter fell and hurt herself again The room had broken tiles, missing plugs, and no hot water for the shower It felt like we were doing the hotel's job, managing basic maintenance ourselves. Despite paying for two rooms plus an upgrade and environmental fees, we had a sub-par experience. The photos on their website are not reflective of the current state of the rooms, which seem to be at least 20 years outdated. We lost precious vacation time dealing with these issues, and it took nearly 24 hours just to get settled into a room that was still far below what we were promised. For all these reasons, I expect a full refund for our stay at the Grand Oasis Cancun.

Yelp
Let me say this first up: If you want that 5 star "all inclusive" treatment, do NOT stay at the Oasis Grand Cancun. At check in we were not given any information about how to navigate the place or that half the restaurants were not actually "inclusive." We were provided a QR code that didn't work. WIFI only worked inside the building. The whole place is a giant maze that lacks any useful direction. The mediocre restaurants we (were) allowed to dine in were comparable to Village Inn here in the States, or Panda Express. No, I would even rate Panda Express as the more desirable food choice here. I understand now that tipping would have been appropriate at EVERY kiosk & restaurant in the resort. Most of the servers had a scowl and rightly so since we uncultured swine forgot to tip, and by "we" I mean ALL of the guests. The front desk might have mentioned this at check in. Now for the room. It was dirty and wayyy outdated. The bathroom was deteriorated & felt dirty. (see pics, & the video of the roach crawling across the floor while I was on the toilet) I know that wasn't the housekeeper's fault and we left a tip anyway but gross. Now for the piles of human feces in the stone lined hallway, not kidding, a giant turd that some poor soul had dropped, mid morning, IN the hallway, and a few feet further, a second turd, that someone had stepped in and smeared a few designs further down. It was there in the heavily trafficked area for several hours and when it was finally cleaned up, it wasn't really cleaned up because the stains were still there when we checked out the next day. Also, a room above us in our hallway kept leaking toilet water so we usually had to navigate around a puddle every time we went back to our room. And now for the beach. We were clearly placed in the old section of the hotel zone. Because the beach was a narrow strip of sand with a 2 to 3 foot cliff you had to climb down to get to the water. They don't comb it at all as there were cigarette butts & trash everywhere. The pictures show the tops of people's heads who were down by the water, illustrating my point. So if you can get past all of that you can enjoy a nice day there as long as you arrive at sunrise to stake your claim. Other than all of this, the birds on the property were beautiful, the koi pond was delightful, the pools looked pretty. Also, the presentation that we agreed to attend for the cheap price for the hotel, was a waste of an entire day. The company (Monster) that did this was separate from the hotel, but it's sad that this hotel is affiliated with these people who say you have to attend a 90 minute presentation to get this deal, and if you don't attend, they charge you double for your room. They wasted an entire day of our vacation with this bullshit presentation where they took us offsite 30 minutes and back to another resort where they aggressively try to push you into buying a condo for 4 hours. Anyway if you just want to party, eat shitty food and drink cheap liquor all day, Grand Oasis Cancun is the place for you. If you want peace & relaxation, and no feces lined hallways, go to Garza Blanca down the road. Thankfully you can order mj for delivery at the 420Cancun website .

Yelp
The lobby inside this hotel uses way too much perfume or cover-up of some sort. Definitely too smelly for anybody with allergies coffee shop inside that has good readings, but only people that stay at the hotel can use it. They don't accept cash or credit. The inside is quite beautiful with a lot of plants. It's a very unique interior. Interior is extremely welcoming if they didn't have some type of cover-up sent.

Yelp
The place is beautiful at first glance but then you realize it's crumbing around you. If it rains this place floods inside and out leaks everywhere. The majority of staff is unhelpful. We were assigned to a room on the 6th floor and they only had one elevator working for the whole building took an hour to get a spot on an elevator to get our bags to our room. Our room smelled, the door to the balcony was unsecured and would let wind and water in while constantly slamming against the door frame so it was loud and annoying 24/7. Sink leaked, toilet leaked and wouldn't flush. Food was garbage unless you paid for the pyramid exclusive restaurant. Overall just a really poor experience and won't be booking again and hope others avoid the disappointment. A bad day is still a good day at the beach but save your self the heart ache and go somewhere else.

Yelp
I needed an affordable resort for 2 nights for my birthday weekend. I decided on the Grand Oasis Cancun. I was utterly disappointed in the food and service. I wish I picked another resort. The wait to check in took 30 mins. All they served were low end alcohol and fries, chicken, burgers and tacos. If you want to dine at the nicer locations, you had to have a black band to enter. The front desk clerks were super nice, but the bartenders, servers and waitress/waiters' services where horrible. There was never a rude moment! You say thank you for something and some would grunt at you even if you said it in their native language. They allow guest that are Latin to skip you on the lines and no one apologizes nor say excuse me. The rudest, unkept, not to clean resort I've ever encountered. We had to ask 3 times for towels and to get the bathroom cleaned. The pool areas are not all cleaned and it's obvious. I went to dinner at one of the resort spots for lunch and couldn't eat the food. There was no flavor in the food, fruits or drinks. Thank goodness I went off the resort for dinner and drinks or else I would've had gross food on my birthday. I promise to never return.

Yelp
I have only been here 4 hours and have seen enough of this place to know they do not care about their customers stay. First I go there and have to argue with them about giving me the double bed room I purchased. Second, the place is flooded. I have never seen a place less water tight. It is a slipping hazard. The AC in the room does not work, the safe has no lock, we only have towels to shower with, Kleenex box is empty and the restaurants are run so poorly that I am embarrassed for them. I have called the front desk about 10 times and all they do is pick up and hang up on us. I call the operator to try to at least get towels and she just yes's me then transfers me to the front desk just to get hung up on. I regret booking here and would never recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Trash don't waste your money here, unless you like long lines watered down drinks and inedible food. Go to Playa del Carmen stay at a boutique hotel and eat at the local restaurants.

Yelp
Everything! was so bad!!!! Poor service Limited food options. Food was very poor quality. Most restaurants cost extra money even though it is an all inclusive. long lines for the bar weak drinks pool is cold loud crappy music every night until 11 pm Things don't work in the room Worst "all inclusive" I have ever been to!!! I wish I had read reviews before booking

Yelp
I arrived at Grand Oasis Palm at 12PM and was told check in was at 3:30 although their website says 3PM. Upon waiting in the buffet and lobby for 2 hours, I went to the front desk to attempt to check in. Without asking my name or room number, the gentleman working on the far left side of the check in counter told me check in is at 3:30 (the first lie I was told) then proceeded to check in another guests and provide them with keys to their room while I had to wait another hour an a half. I came back to the front desk at 3PM and had another gentleman assist me who was able to provide me with my keys without a problem. When I asked the gentleman that denied me my room keys earlier he stated his reason was "groups have priorities over single parties." Upon attempting to enter my room, the keys did not work so I went to the general manager. When i brought his statement up to his manager, she said this was incorrect and groups do not have priorities over singular parties (the second lie I was told). She also stated that there was probably something wrong with my original room and that is why they switched my room.... By the time I received my working keys and entered my room, it was 4PM. I entered my room and found the TV does not work, there is no hot water and the lights do not fully work. When I called the front desk to get assistance, nobody picked up the call. What was the point of having my room changed if I was going to be put in a room that does not have hot water, along with a malfunctioning TV and lights that do not work???? I waited 3 hours to get put in a room with malfunctions????? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customer service then calls me while I'm sleeping, interrupting my sleep to ask me about the issues. Could this not wait until the morning after I've slept trying to get rest from the terrible day I had? I let them know VERBATIM, "I appreciate the call but due to the amount of racist interactions I've had with your employees today, I prefer to be left alone." They then put a note under my door addressing the water, lights and TV but not their racist actions. How convenient. They're trying to make it look as if they tried to help but they're trying to help 4-5 hours after I've already requested help.... I am in Cancun for 48 hours and my first day has been ruined due to terrible customer service caused by lies and what seems like racism towards African Americans. Unfortunately, I am in another country by myself and will have to remain at this horrid resort. This is the worst experience in traveling I have ever went through in my life and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you are African American or Black, I strongly suggest you steer away from Grand Oasis Palm.

Yelp
my first time out the country, me and my friends booked this resort. Soon as we got there this lady scam me for $20. They are very racist at this resort. I will never forget how they treated us it was really sad. The food was horrible except for this Italian restaurant they have on the resort, they was nice and clean. If you don't know Spanish don't bother going to this resort.

Yelp

Yelp
Hi guys I'm writing this post to let you know the experience I got from the Oasis hotel Cancun. Long story short, avoid this hotel at any costs!! I'm currently traveling all around the central America, and decided to settle in Cancun for 4-6weeks. Everything is lovely here, and people are so nice. i booked an airbnb for 4weeks to stay. On feb 6th of 2025, I just wanted to get relaxed and have some fun at the pool, so I decided to book a five star hotel called Oasis hotel Cancun for two days. I paid around 550 USD for two nights in cash (I should've use my credit card) all inclusive. All the foods and drinks are free, and there's an unlimited minibar available in your room. I checked in to the hotel around 10pm on feb 6th. When I got my room, the mini bar was empty, so I clearly ask them to fill them up. Also, the TV and one of the lights were broken, so I asked them to fix as well. However, they didn't resolve the issue. At the end, I asked literally 4times in both phone and concierge to help with my request, but they never resolved them. (They said they will send someone right away for four times) Eventually I was so disappointed and got mad after fourth complaint, but I decided to bear with it and asked one more time. But at this time, the staff member just hung up the phone call while I was complaining. I am a vip status in this hotel, and went down to VIP concierge to fix them and asked for some compensation cuz they ruined more than a whole day at the hotel. They offered me just 4hrs late check out. I told them I can't take the offer. I didn't expect this kind of services in five star hotel. They also started to blame me by making thins up and saying it's all my fault. Guys if you guys are planning to visit cancun, never come to this place. They are trying as hard as they could to scam you. P.S the general manager literally promised to fill up the mini bar + and fix the TV They not only didn't fill up the mini bar also they made a really massive in my room with throwing the remote batteries around the hotel room

Yelp
THIS IS A MUST READ!!! Not impressed at all, say it is all inclusive but, there is some deceiving parts to it. You cannot get into certain places unless you upgrade for $60 per person and get 5-6 more restaurants which are not worth the extra pay. They remake your room every other day. The places do not open on time, one restaurant was to open at 11 and didn't open till almost 1145. Kinky had one girl dancing in a cage while showing on video a huge show. I will not stay on the property again. Some restaurants you have to use the app to make reservations and some places you have to wait two days to eat there. Went to the sports bar and the bartender was an asshole and would not turn the game. A lot of the staff run on their own time. NO BACON!! Need to pay extra for a seafood buffet. The food was cafeteria food, a few restaurants were good. The only positive was the beach, the sports bar, and the people we met during our vacation.

Yelp
Overall pretty nice. The pools and swim up bars were amazing, yet I didn't like the kids splashing adults at the bar, and the lifeguards or parents didn't do anything about it. All the restaurants I went to were very nice, but just one had bad food. Cocoa was my favorite, the farmers soup and tomahawk steak were my favorite meals there. The rooms are really nice, but the water pressure in the shower is bad and the hot and cold knobs are really touchy. This was mainly just my bathroom, but one of my family members threw up on the floor in there, and they cleaned it up, but the cleaners didn't even make the room smell better, it stunk in there for at least 5 days. The doors for balconies are not sound proof at all, you can hear everything from the main road from your room. Also do NOT book trips and adventures there! They're all in groups and it sucks! Overall 3/5 stars..

Yelp
I normally don't write reviews as I'm easy-going and don't have high standards when it comes to vacationing. I just want to hang out and relax. However, my experience at Grand Oasis Resort in Cancun Mexico, was disappointing and infuriating. The food was plain and boring, and the front desk was horrendous, taking us 4 hours to check in. The worst part was when my nephew cut his foot on loose pool tiles, requiring a trip to the hospital to get 9 stitches. While the hotel covered the medical costs, no one checked the pool to prevent further injuries. Another family had a similar incident, though less severe. The lifeguard was rude, useless and seemed drunk. Additionally, no one called to check if we were okay or needed anything. My nephew hadn't eaten all day because of his accident, and when we called for room service, we were denied, even though the resort was at fault. We had to go downstairs and hunt for food ourselves after hours. They could careless that a young child was injured in their resort. The way they handled (or didn't) it, was absolutely absurd and unprofessional on all levels. Save your money and keep your family safe- Go somewhere else.

Yelp
Long review/story ahead, but in short, this is not a hotel that will respond appropriately in dangerous situations, nor will they take accountability. Regarding everything else - rooms were dirty and outdated, checkin took 2+ hours, food was cafeteria food at best and waits for all restaurants, pool chairs were a rat race to reserve. Housekeeping doesn't come when requested, neither does water/fridge refill, neither does maintenance. On day 1, we noticed the phone in our room wasn't working and reported this to the concierge. One night 3 of our stay (2/13/23) , we came home at 8:30 pm to screaming next door. We did our best to ignore it, but we then started to hear thuds with the screaming, as well as threats and shrieks. One of the voices sounded a lot younger than the other, so we were particularly worried there was a minor involved. We tried to call the hotel to ask for security, but the phone in our room (3 days later) had still not been fixed. The only option was to call 911, which we did given the violent nature of what was happening. Once we called 911, we wanted to leave our room as we feared for our safety and the screaming was extremely upsetting, but while we were on the phone, the fighting had escalated into the hallway. There are continued thuds and screams and we no longer have any chance of safely exiting our room to remove ourselves from the situation. Eventually hotel personnel show up and they begin to engage with the screaming guests, which escalates into more screaming between the two parties. This went on total for almost 2 hours. Our only means of knowing what was going on was by looking through the peep hole,. Had we been able to contact the hotel, we could have asked for help leaving. Some time later, the police arrived and seeing police officers with machine guns which is not what we are used to in the US was extremely unsettling. Given that we had no idea how these guests would react, the fact that there was only a thin wood door between us and the guests and the policemen's guns was upsetting. Eventually the screaming subsided (I assumed they were arrested). We were too scared to leave our room because we could not be sure, so we remained inside and terrified. An hour later, one of the guests comes back, followed by hotel staff. Once again, there is screaming back and forth about letting her in the room. Eventually they let her in the room and we then were subjected to hearing her scream off her balcony outside to people below to see if they could see her bag. The realization that these troubled, violent guests had been let back into the hotel left us again fearful for our safety. The next morning we warily emerged from our room to eat and check out. Upon returning to our room after eating, we see the two guests have again come back to get their belongings, followed by hotel staff. Starting at 9 am on the morning of 2/14/23, I asked the building concierge to discuss what happened with a hotel manager. 3.5 hours later at checkout they still had not shown up and I was dismissed and told that they were busy tending to checkout. Upon going to get my own belongings, two security guards were outside their room still waiting for them to clear out. I told them how frustrated I was that I wasn't able to express how traumatic that had been to the hotel and both said they were the people who should have been contacted but they were not notified of anything. I do understand there is a normal level of noise or disturbance that can be expected while staying in a resort, however this clearly goes well beyond a normal level of disturbance. It was also alarming to be told management did not have time to discuss this with me, and to learn security was never even aware of the circumstances. I wanted to ensure the correct parties were aware of our experience to help future guests because no one should have to go through what we did. Any hotel should not be responsible for the actions of their guests, but they ARE responsible for how they handle these situations and in this case, Grand Oasis did not handle it appropriately. We left Cancun traumatized, fearful and disappointed in the lack of support, acknowledgment and awareness over what was an extremely serious situation. 1 month later and my incident report has not been acknowledged.

Yelp
Carlos, Marco, and Johnathan are the only reason my review went from a 1 to a 4. First and second day were super rough. But, we managed to turn a negative to a positive thanks to these amazing employees. The restaurants are pretty standard buffet style food. I'll try the steakhouse tomorrow night which is reservations only. Due to my color wristband I'm also not allowed to make reservations at other restaurants around here. Which is silly, so taboo and Harry's will be getting my business. But, it's night 2 and I'm finally about to rest easy tonight knowing I have a bed that fits me and my wife. And baby. I'm 6'8", 270 pounds and I split a twin bed last night with my wife and my baby.

Yelp
PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE!!! This is the most disgusting place I have been in EVER! FILTHY, FILTHY, FILTHY!! Getting ready for bed and seeing roaches crawling on the floor. It was so late, we went to the office and requested a change of rooms. New room didn't have roaches crawling on the floor, found a few dead ones and saw a few while packing up to leave. The entire stay at this location was so uncomfortable. The food was tasteless and bland. It seemed like it was reheated or microwaved rather than freshly prepared. I couldn't even finish my meal because it was so unappetizing. While at the pool I attempted to get towels from the towel tent, they told me they would have more towels in a bit. So my kids went to play in the pool and I went to the tent a bit later and I was told they weren't going to have towels for the entire day. They didn't have pool towels available the entire stay while we were there. Do not stay at this location, it is disgusting!

Yelp
Cancún is a fun place. There's a lot of amenities this hotel has such as the clubs, large pool, & restaurants. There customer service is really unprofessional. They get upset when you ask them to do what there job requires, for example, asking a server to get water. I had a server roll their eyes countless times when taking my order. There are great people that work here but I feel like their spirits are crushed by the horrible people that do work here. Otherwise, I recommend other hotels in the area actually enjoying their job or life.

Yelp
I will take full responsibility for booking during spring break, but this is not a family resort at all. They have a kids area, but the rest of the place is a wild party. The grounds are nice, ocean is beautiful. The food is horrible. Frozen pizzas in the restaurant that you need reservations for. Everything except for the fresh fruit was disgusting and we will eat most everything. You need to pay for a safe and several rooms around me were broken into. The ice machines didn't work. The air conditioning was locked at 25, so it was so hot in our room. I will say that we had a nice massage and the views on the beach are amazing. They did nothing about people yelling and screaming all through the night. If you are going to party, great place. If you are going to relax with your family and kids, find somewhere else to go!

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS A HELL HOLE, READ BEFORE BOOKING. -checking in/ finding room 1.Starting at the airport the man in charge of helping us locate our transportation couldn't have given less of a fuck about us. After waiting for about 45 mins we finally get a ride and arrive to a fucking maze where the "direction signs" are about as useful as a penguin in a tree climbing contest. We came with 6 people and got 3 rooms, it took about an hour to get our bracelet. Unless you want to tip for help with your bags to your room, good fucking luck finding your room. Place is laid out as if they closed their eyes and randomly placed the buildings. 2. From first glance this place is beautiful, blue water, palm trees, bars everywhere. Up until you look a little closer. Unless you wake up before the sun comes out you will not have a chair, not just by the pool but anywhere outside. Ahh not unless you rent a Bali bed for 100$. You come to find out that if you want even a sub par drink you must tip every time you want a drink, so much for all exclusive. 1 out of 10 drinks you get will be somewhat ok, had to drink beer most of the trip because it was the least shit, still shit but less shit than most. 3. FOOD IS SO FUCKING HORRIBLE. This is the reason I'm writing this review the food is so absolutely fucking horrible. The oil they use to fry their food is old and you can smell it when you walk past. The workers can't even pretend to give a shit about the food they're serving. How can you fuck up a French fry fry's are ass well maybe a tortilla chip in Mexico will be good, WRONG from a bag old stale horrible. This is every food hut, the burgers taste like old gross hotdogs and the hotdogs are worse than a baseball stadium dog. And you might be thinking "oh there's a steak house I'll just eat there" WRONG it cost money, need a reservation and good fuckin luck figuring out how to do that let alone get one. Even after you get in the streak restaurant you realize the streak is fucking ass too, these mfs can't cook a meal to save their lives. If you get the basic bracelet/package you can't get into any restaurant that looks somewhat decent. I ate at the buffet and walked laps around the food trying to work myself up you eat this slop. After a couple laps I decided to try the pasta and chicken. Havnt gotten of the toilet in 2 days. I could write a book about how pissed and disgusted I am about the food but just know you will either starve yourself or put yourself through hell trying to eat anything. Lastly, the employees don't give a fuck about anything. People bring huge speakers to the pool and ruin everyone's day "oh well". Food and plates in the hallways for days. They hire people to walk around to try and sell you vapes hair braids and much more, will be more expensive if from America. Room service isn't a thing, want more water or soda in your fridge, good luck. In conclusion, this place fucking sucks. I write this with 2 days left of this trip and I can't wait to go home. NEVER come here if you want to be cheap and come to Mexico and you think maybe Its not that bad. You will have a horrible time.

Yelp
Just came back from SB with 5 other girls. We're all college students and while I can't speak to experiences of others, we had little to no complaints about this resort. The food was good enough and the chicken tenders and fries by the pool are heat. Rooms were nice, ours were cleaned everyday. We brought some of our own towels but were given 2 a room so we had enough. Beach is gorgeous, pools nice, and the bartenders are the nicest people ever (tbh all the employees are super nice). We went to have a good time and the parties they held provided just that. They also provide some transportation to the downtown area so you can go to other clubs easily. Liquor might be cheap but it gets you feeling right and with the beautiful weather you really cant have a bad time. Honestly no complaints for a group of 20 yr olds this place was affordable and fun.

Yelp
I traveled from the USA and stayed at Grand Oasis Cancun for 7 nights, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. The room service was very poor, the staff were rude, and communication was very difficult since no one seemed to understand English properly. The biggest issue came at checkout when they suddenly charged me $50 for staying just one hour past checkout time. I explained that nobody informed me of this policy and that I didn't know, but instead of helping, they became extremely rude and even threatened to call the police and not let me leave the hotel unless I paid the $50. This was shocking, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. I felt trapped and disrespected, and even the manager did nothing to resolve the problem. Overall, the hotel gave me a very bad impression with their poor service, hidden charges, and lack of manners. I would never recommend this place to anyone visiting Cancun.

Yelp
I'm pretty disappointed, I only booked this hotel because this was the only one available for Ozuna fest. They partnered together, so in order to get tickets I had to make a reservation at this hotel. After learning that rooms are less than 100 a night and I paid more then double that is ridiculous. I didn't check the reviews upon arriving, because I would've thought a festival with such expensive tickets would provide a great hotel. I would think twice on booking for events hosted by pollen. I'm giving three stars (I want to give one) but three based on the actual price. 70-90 a night is reasonable for this resort because you get what you pay for. Not so great food and not so great rooms either. But the workers were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the aesthetic is unique as well. I'm more upset about having to pay more just because I wanted to see Ozuna perform. And the resort is definitely not capable of hosting an event, the space and set up was also below average. But my disappointment is more towards pollen, for choosing this hotel in the first place. Not at the hotel itself, I don't know what people expect to receive for 70-90 a night? Be realistic. If you want a better hotel, spend the money on one. This is Mexico, but Cancun is pretty expensive because it's a beautiful island.

Yelp
We went there with a group we trusted to see a band for 4 nights. Never dreamed it would be such a horrible place. What saved our experience (besides the great music) was the extra care we got from our group. But even with our black bands (premium) we couldn't get into the restaurants that required reservations because they were all booked when we arrived! So we ate most meals at the buffets, which were awful. Miramar restaurant, which is on the beach, and lovely when there isn't karaoke blaring, had barely tolerable food. When we tried to go for breakfast, they closed early, even though everything says they're open til 10:30. We managed to get into Dos Lunas through our group, and the antipasto bar was decent, not exciting. The lasagna was terrible, and my husband's fish dried out. You can't get a decent wine by the glass, just the bottle. All over the resort the "red wine" was a barely drinkable Merlot. We were charged twice for an extra night. We planned on using the Express checkout, which was not working, so we had to send in a long line at the concierge in our building. They also don't change money at the front desk. We were sent across the street to a money exchange!

Yelp
ZERO STARS ! DO NOT GO - EVEN IF FREE. Food is inedible, staff is rude and inattentive. Room is diry with mold and mildew. Broken glass in bathroom and after repeated requests was not cleaned. Felt unsafe actually. Drinks are disgusting. There are shady things happening at this hotel.

Yelp
Bad experience from beginning to end, absolutely don't recommend this hotel, unfortunately we didn't read reviews when we booked, we trusted an agency, from all the bad things we experienced the screw on the broccoli soup was the worst. Thankfully everyone is safe but could have been a really bad accident. Do not recommend this place at all. If there was a minor one I would do that one.

Yelp
CANCÚN HORROR STORY!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I actually cannot emphasize enough how much I recommend NOT staying at this property if you are coming to Cancún. I read the bad reviews before I went to and disregarded them... For your safety, learn from my mistakes! Here's what we experienced during our stay (we only lasted for one day & LEFT as soon as possible): * Harassed & mistreated by the staff (they thought we did not understand Spanish and were saying awful things) * No lock on our door (pictured) and had to barricade ourselves in at night * WiFi didn't work * Phone in room, including emergency number, didn't work * No blankets on the bed, just one thin sheet * Human feces by the pool * Inedible food, took one bite and spit out * "All inclusive" but no bottled or canned drinks at all (besides a few bottled waters in the room) * Dirty pools and this awful smell of urine / garbage / feces that lingered across the whole property * No staff (besides sketchy "security") works past 11pm to help with anything Do not spend your time or money here, it is not worth it! Trust the reviews and know that the pictures they have on their website are false advertising! I made a TikTok video about this experience and it's going viral with hundreds of other people sharing their horror stories at the Grand Oasis Cancun: getting their rooms broken into, getting threatened to be sent to jail, getting sick, & more. We ended up leaving after one night & relocated to the SLS Hotel which was AMAZING and a completely different experience that turned our whole trip around.

Yelp
Charges me and my friends $1000 for a tv we didn't break. The tv isn't even connected to the internet so we didn't even use it. When we asked them about disputing the charge they said they would have to take action if we don't pay it immediately. Bars also close relatively early so you have to start drinking early in order to get your money's worth.

Yelp
For starters, we checked in and customer service seemed fine. Since being here we have not been able to reach guest services by the phone. They answer and hang up consistently. The resort is all inclusive which means the food is free. However, I did not know that equaled horrible food. The food at this property is terrible. Do not come here for the food. We returned on today from our excursion and our room was completely flooded. We have not figured out where source of the water is but our chargers, shoes, and beds are soaked and water damaged. We could not see the water upon walking into the room and I ultimately slipped and hit my head on the counter. My husband had to physically go down to guest services to get help and the most they were able to do was switch our room. No compensation for our damaged items or completely inconvenience of not being able to use/access our entire room. I do not recommend this resort for anyone coming to Cancun.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary. We actually stay at the pyramid which is the luxury side of it. We have a great time and never left the resort. Food was great with so many restaurants to pick from. One of my favorite feature was that the resort had an app that you download and it was full of helpful information and activities and happenings. The only problem we had is that our phone in thr roo. Stopped working but that was not a deal breaker. Everything about this place was amazing. However if you are in a wheelchair I wouldn't suggest this place bc of how the walk way bridges Re built and how sloppy they are. It seemed as they were working on a more handicap friendly bridge. If so that woukd be my only suggestion for improvement. Every morning divers were in the pool cleaning all of them.out. something I have never seen so that's a plus.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time here and unfortunately we will never be back. We were always VIP and when asked about it were told we could get for $35 pp per day. Our friend who was leaving a few fasts before us bought us all VIP and then were told we couldn't use it because we weren't leaving the next day. I asked if we could come back at end of day or very next morning and they couldn't cut them off and she said she couldn't do that. It's really been disappointing and feel oasis does not love us.
