Grand Slam Grill

I went for a birthday lunch. I've heard all about their burgers. They did not disappoint! Waitress was amazing and funny. Place was not busy. Inside looked like a million dollars! I had the haddock bites. They were like a fish fry in a ball!!!!!

This is such a warm and inviting restaurant. The food is ALWAYS great and so is the service! I highly recommend the steak sandwich. The homemade steak sauce is amazing! The Caesar salad is great. We have never had a bad meal or experience here which is why we keep coming back!

I'm a door dash driver for Olean. I stopped there to pick up a door dash order for delivery. The worker there asked if she could help me. I told her I was there to pick up a door dash order. She pointed to it and told me it was ready. I said "thank you, I just need to use the restroom first." She said, "the order is right there. The bathroom is for paying customers only." I thought it was rude, especially since I was picking up an order for a paying customer. I will never eat there again!

Love supporting local and this was just another one of those experiences of a locally owned and operated restaurant. The proof is in the quality of the food and presentation. The steak sandwich was over the top tender and full of flavor and the wings were crispy and delicious . They even came with celery on the side ! We also had the nachos with chicken which were excellent as well . Not to mention the great service from the waitress and staff. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area:-)

Ordered take out and the food was phenomenal the coconut salmon was very good and definitely not what I expected I will be coming back for sure

This is a wonderful place to dine! When we got there we were seated quickly and the waitress was very nice and polite. It was very nicely decorated inside, the tempurature was nice, aswell as how loud it was. It was very nice and quite for a perfect lunch. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Our food came very fast and was delicious. I will definitely be attending this restaurant again. What a wonderful dining experience for one person or up to 4+.

Absolutely loved the food. Decent prices. Came in for a late lunch and it was not very busy. The doughnut burger was amazing. Their house dressing was also very delicious for my wedge salad

Excellent food, great service, decent prices & plenty of parking. I had the prime rib and it was cooked perfectly. Others in my party had spaghetti & meatballs, BBQ ribs and shrimp skewers. They were all happy with their meals too. We got a piece of chocolate cake to go... it's huge! Definitely will be back!

9/17/2025: Amazing! Updating my review because our last 5 experiences have been great all around! Kitchen consistency is back to amazing again and so are the waitresses. THE BEST steak and prime rib in town without a doubt! Great burgers with a good variety to try! Good garlic butter pasta. The best steamed and buttered broccoli you'll ever have in your life! Nice big portion of spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs are big and juicy. Good fried pickles. Good beer and drink options. Skilled bartenders. Very very very clean looking behind the bar always. No sticky bar, no dirty cups piled up, no fruit flies, no gummy soda guns, no stale beer smell, no dusty bottles.... very nicely kept. The only disappointment/thing I don't like on the menu is the little frozen premade beer fish fry. They're such a great restaurant, I think they should do their own big hunk of beer battered fish fry dinner instead at least for lent. My 2023 review issues have all been resolved! Yay! I highly recommend them!

Don't let the plain storefront misguided you, there is great pub food and a variety of good drinks inside! Staff also very nice.

The service was friendly. The food was very good. We sat in the bar area, not super loud.

Disappointed and shocked by the poor value and service. My wife and I ordered the fish fry--$38 total for two plates--and were extremely let down. Each plate came with two small pieces of fish, maybe 5 or 6 fries, three tiny pieces of broccoli, no bread, and no tartar sauce. They gave just two small ketchup packets for both meals. That's it. This felt more like a child's snack than a dinner worth nearly 40 bucks. To make it worse, when my wife politely pointed out how little food was in the order and asked for either a replacement or a refund, the staff member who served her ,Jasmine,refused to help or make it right. There was no care, no attempt to fix the issue, and no apology. Honestly, we left feeling frustrated and ripped off. Definitely won't be returning.

I absolutely love this place! They are friendly and the food is fantastic! My favorite thing so far is the veggie/black bean burger. I get the fries and side of ranch (they have the best ranch ever) and it's delicious. I've also tried the donut burger, that's delicious as well! 10/10!

Stopped in because it was close to my hotel. Place was friendly and inviting. Billy the bartender quickly greeted me and brought the menu and took my drink order. After asking a few questions about the menu, he recommended the grilled pork. I hesitated saying I'm not a pork fan to his reply, neither am I. He wasn't wrong! Great food, excellent service! I'll keep this place on my list if I ever find myself in the area again.

The food was amazing. I had the prime rib and it was made perfectly! My boyfriend had the 18oz ribeye which was very juicy and tender. Our service was also excellent. Mindy was funny and attentive and gave us great suggestions. I would 100% recommend to anyone passing through town.

I always grab my lunch here when in town. The food is great and the staff is awesome. Prices are fair and the location is convenient. It's just your typical local bar but they definitely set themselves apart from other establishments in the area. I appreciate the variety of the menu. I usually get something different every time. I haven't been disappointed yet.

What a great evening we enjoyed! Loved the baseball-themed ambiance of the restaurant!! It was raining out or we would have absolutely taken advantage of the "upper deck" seating area. All our food was very good...my wife was astonished at the size and flavor of her Grand Wedge salad...but quality of our service was even better. Brooklyn, our waitress, was friendly, accommodating and tremendously attentive without making us feel overwhelmed. She made for a simply outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will be back whenever we are in town for future St Bonaventure University alumni events...anticipating another "home run" of a dining experience!

Came into pub like atmosphere, took a few minutes to get seated. Got waited on immediately once at booth. Ordered a on deck donut burger and the grand slam burger. Also got a side salad which was kind of sad looking, had a homemade type ranch that was subpar. Both burgers cooked just as ordered. The grand slam burger was above average and the donut burger was really good. Got regular and hot fries, the regular fries were normal steak fries and tasted fine. The hot fries are by far the star of the meal.kind of a strange paying system where it seems setup to go up to pay, but our waitress did offer to take our bill up when we asked. For about 40$ dollars it wasn't bad at all.

Came in late on a Friday. Service was excellent!!! I had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection! Looking at other tables and their food, it all looked amazing!! The deserts looked incredible but we had no room!

Food was phenomenal. Finally broccoli done perfectly and prosciutto was delicious. In hindsight I should have chose a different side as the shrimp already over bed of wild rice (also delicious). But I really wanted prosciutto. Very relaxing ambience kind of diner slash sports bar establishment. Family oriented with kids menu as well! Top off with glass of favorite wine and a wonderful waitress. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

The service is quick and the bartender is friendly. The donut burger is very good especially since the glaze is on the inside of the burger and not the outside so your hands won't be sticky.

Took me 20 minutes at the bar to get asked about even a water. I ordered the cod since the reviews were good for the place overall. It was so soggy and salty I couldn't eat it. I left and got something else to eat.

First time here on 1-10-20. First off the bartender was great! Made our visit really fun. Second the food was out of this world. Wedge salad with house dressing. Quite possibly the best salad I've ever had. Friend got some sort of fish. All sea food is flown in fresh, never frozen. Atmosphere was nice. Plenty of room. Really nice fully stocked bar with a nice selection on tap.

Grand Slam is a sports-themed restaurant in a strip mall with a fairly predictable menu heavy on fried foods but one that also takes a few chances and broadens into some seafood and vegetarian territory. The restaurant is clean, the service has always been prompt and friendly, and the decor is--eh, thematically consistent in its sportiness? I sometimes find the food a touch underseasoned, but the portions are good, the turnover time is prompt, and there's never been cause for complaint. There's a local craft brew or two on tap, there are some big screens above the bar to catch a game, and there's apparently a rooftop patio that I've never been to because you can't have glass on it and they don't serve food to it because of some weird zoning rules? In any case, while I prefer the Four Mile on the other end of town, this is a solid, generally inexpensive dining-and-beer option that I'll likely visit again from time to time. It's A-OK.

Had the coconut crusted Haddock that was really good! Service was on point and being a Yankees fan the ambiance was great! Going back next time to watch a game and try the Grand Slam burger!

One of my favorite places around the 3 county area. The pork loin with jalapeño sauce/ glaze is as good/ or better than any steak at any place in the area. A bone in chop, probably 10-14 ounces,,absolutely wonderful

We ordered here around Valentine's Day for our first time ever. The steak looked great but when I say there was no flavor, that is being kind. The hot fries were a soggy disappointment that were just smother in hot sauce with no other flavor to them. My husband got the ribs and said the texture of those were fine but that the taste of the bbq sauce was off. Broccoli had no flavor. We had to add seasoning to the spinach artichoke dip because it was soo bland. The kids chicken tenders was two overcooked, dry tenders. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we have no desire to order here again

Last night passing through from Ithaca heading home to Cleveland. After looking at Yelp trying to find a good place to eat came across this gem. Bartenders Nick and Bill were quick with taking our orders and offered a different drink selection on my husband's tap beer that he really liked. We both ordered the queen cut prime rib and my husband was able to get the end cut that he really likes. It's been awhile since we've had prime rib and this did not disappoint. It practically melted in your mouth. Probably the best meal we've had while traveling. Clean welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely stop back if we head that way again.

Continues to be a shxt show. Bartender is rude. Shows preferential treatment to regulars. Allows a lot of money to walk out the door and go to other places.

The food was hot and filling. The waitress ignored us 90% of the time and there was nobody else in the building so I don't know what the excuse could be. And the food really was not all that great for the price

Try the grand slam grill in olean ny! Good food and good atmosphere! Definitely try the donut burger! A must!

Everything about this establishment was the best first time experience and if I'm ever in the neighborhood I will visit I am a chef and I love good food and I was very impressed!! Also the service was amazing as well

Wow! The tastiest Pork Chop I have eaten in a LONG time. Great service and the Potato Skins app was really good. They do give you a LOT of food and a to go box is in a lot of folks hands going out the door. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner but come hungry!

This was a very nice restaurant, prices were reasonable. The menu wasn't overwhelming with items and what was on the menu was very good. I'm really impressed with the staff and how well they treated us, they did a great job on seating our table of 12. We did get in a bit late due to circumstances that brought us there and they didn't even make us feel like we were rushed. Top it off the owner stopped and chatted with us and made sure everything was to our likings. I wish I had a picture of the burger I ordered, It was picture perfect.

The onion ring tower is really good. The times I have gone there the food was amazing.

Don't judge this place by it's outdoor appearance. The inside is nice. Food is excellent and the service was great as well. I would definitely recommend it and will be back when I'm in town.

Everything we ordered was amazing!! Mussels, wedge salad, shrimp scampi, prime rib, strip steak... Pro tip: they let you add shrimp to the wedge salad if you ask. Great service and nice outdoor seating. Can't wait to go back!

Hands down the best chicken parmigiana I've ever had, and I've had many from different states. Service was good for being so busy. Others in my party had: mahi mahi, shrimp scampi, and wedge salad. Everyone said their food was excellent! Would definitely go back!

OK so I'm out here for a few weeks on a business trip, I have officially found my dining room. I have been here twice this weekend, and can't see myself going anywhere else. Check out the pictures, got to try this spot. The chef is amazing!

Ordered take out. They said a half hour. We got there right then, but it was still another 45 minutes before our food was ready. When we got home, the meat was cooked and one meal wasn't even ours. We called and the owner told us 'tough sh-t' and hung up.

I found out recently that Grand Slam Grill has been in business for over a year and was surprised that many people weren't talking about it. On a recommendation, I decided to check it out. The bar/restaurant of course has a baseball theme but the decor isn't overwhelming or kitschy. Walking into the door, the first sight is the eye-catching and ample wood bar. There's four flat screen TVs all tuned to something different (and none of it 24/7 cable news - HALLELUJAH). There's about five or six tables in this area, all bar stool height. It was just my boyfriend and I out to lunch, so the waitress sat us at a table in a room around the corner. It was quiet and dimly lit. There's a table for a large party tucked into a back corner, booths against the wall, and tables for four or two person parties in the rest of the room. The waitress took our drink orders and went over some of the daily specials (one of them was a grilled chicken breast sandwich with a BBQ mayo sauce, served with a side salad). Since we were having a late lunch, we were fine with just splitting something. She recommended the steak sandwich, which was served with steak fries. Since we were splitting, she offered to have the kitchen plate it as two separate instead of us splitting it at the table, which was perfect. It wasn't a long wait for our order. The steak sandwich was served on a soft roll. The bottom was a bit soggy because of the juices from the steak, but wasn't really a problem. The steak was tender and had just a little pink in the center (we asked for medium well so that was perfect). The steak, cheese, and onions were a great combination with the sauce, which was house-made. What I really liked was the steak wasn't chopped up the way most steak sandwiches are. It was just a whole steak on a roll with the toppings. The fries were crispy and golden brown. The waitress was sure we had ketchup on the table before she brought out our order, too. She was prompt with refilling drinks when needed. The sandwich and fries were $14 and with our drinks, the bill was less than $20. Not bad for a delicious lunch served with a smile. The quality and portion size are worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again!

I don't know what it is with the bartenders, but it seems that if they don't know ya they don't pay attention to you. I have never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. I am not a stranger to the Grand Slam and generally have excellent service and food, so you can imagine my disappointment. Get oversourself bartenders.

We had such a WONDERFUL experience at the Grand Slam Grill! The service was excellent; our waitress was great and the hostess was nice enough to put our baby's car seat by the bar for us. I ordered the Breakfast Burger and it was absolutely delicious! My burger was cooked perfectly and the serving sizes were very generous. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated, and I very much appreciated that there was a changing table in the women's bathroom. Quite a few restaurants in Olean don't have a changing table! Overall, my family and I had a great experience and we will definitely be coming back for the best burgers in Olean!

First time here and will not be the last. Dropped a few items off to the granddaughter who attends St. Bona. and found this grill on Yelp. The facility is environmentally clean and very safe! The service was excellent (Amanda) and the food was A+. We will be back soon and take make granddaughter to lunch here.

We were driving along I86 and looked for place for lunch. We stopped here and we were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was outstanding. The hand dipped onion rings were the best we've ever had. If we lived closer we would come here regularly.

I hadn't been here in about 2 years. I still enjoy this place. Clean. Mask mandates. When we showed up there was 2 other tables & I think 1 waitress. She was friendly, anticipated our needs, apologized when she took a little long...she was great. I ordered a burger I didn't realize I got the last time I was there haha (I try to get new things) but it was delicious & juicy. The pub burger (pictured in my last review) My company ordered the steak sandwich & was pleased. Except for the bites with fat, which you expect with steak. The wings were crispy, saucy & everything was hot. I will return.

I'm going to open this by saying I hate steak. I am not a steak girl. I had a bite of my dads steak the other night when we went to dinner, and omg I wish I ordered a steak because it was the most delicious piece of meat I've ever had. I got a burger, and I ate the entire thing! Which doesn't happen much for me. I also got a side of hot fries, and those are by far my new favorite thing. Hot fries all day every day.

chef did a amazing job on the steak it was perfectly prepared as well as the rest of the meal and service was great along with timing definitely will be coming back

Excellent service at Grand Slam. Amanda was super, great personality and spot on! Food, excellent. We had Meatballs, Garlic Pizza, Pork Chops, and Chicken Parmigiana...all great. Owner came to check on the table, classic old school move... Go visit!

Best food in town, and the service is always superb. Prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are large so there's always leftovers. The owner, Sparky is always very friendly and personable. I manage an AirBNB in Olean, and always recommend Grand Slam when asked for restaurant recommendations.

We decided to stop in because a friend kept sharing their menu on fb. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly and doing it up old school - the owner/manager personally went to each table and asked how everything was. The portions were very generous and they seem to have something for everyone, even putting some new twists on classic dishes. The meatballs were huge and were homemade and I loved the wedge salad
