Very good square slice (albeit on the chewier / fluffier side) and good NY slice too. Underhyped and cute inside

Probably the best slice in this area (and I'm including the East Village. ) Definitely worth a walk over. I got an OG slice and it was $3.80 . Good price. The slice was very light and really delicious. I could easily have eaten another. They have a bar you can sit at and order a cocktail or a Guinness but I didn't order a drink. Me and several other people ate our slices at the bar even without a drink. Recommended.

Google
we got 2 plain pizza slices, tasted amazing, very lightweight and cooked well (we got our slices cut in half). good flop (i like flop). small but cute hole in the wall, very sweet people. (ignore the purple ube ice cream in the picture)

Google
Heard about this under the radar spot in LES and it did not disappoint. Got the soppressata and the vodka and both were delicious and flavorful. The crust was light, crispy, and had a slight sweetness. Oh how I wish I could live around the corner from this unassuming spot.

Walked here for a late night slice when I was in NY for quick work trip. Staff was extremely friendly/kind. Had a slice of OG cheese and Vodka. Both were great. Very affordable.

I cannot explain how amazing this establishment is. The vibe inside with the bar tender cooking up on aux is something they will teach in history classes 50 years from now. While I was dining at the establishment, the bartender noticed a stray dog running outside in the street. He leaped over the counter, ran into the street dodging traffic and saved the dogs life. Now the dog lives with the bartender happily ever after. Wow!

Love this little Pizza Shop! Stop in during off hours and you may be able to snag a spot at the bar to have your Slice before continuing to your next spot!

Google
Outstanding slices of pizza, ice cold martinis. Great music. What’s not to love. Top spot for me and highly suggest a visit.

I have never felt more at home and proud to live in the LES than when I visit Grand Street P! The cheese slice is not only the cheapest but most delectable in the neighborhood. Plus the atmosphere make it nearly impossible not to come back for a Friday night or a Tuesday afternoon!

Yelp
My go to local pizza joint. I always get the Spicy Lenny which is essentially a pepperoni & jalapeño pie with a small side of Mikes Hot Honey. What I like to do is add a little bit of arugula to feel healthier and it makes it taste great! Always a solid dinner choice when I don't know what I want. They can get quite busy especially during big sports days so call ahead if you're picking up!

Yelp
A very unassuming pizza shop. We found out about this place via FutureCanoe on YT. My perfect pizza - not too greasy or salty, crispy exterior, but soft on the inside with a delicious chew. This is one of the few pizza places where the crust was exceptional as well - crispy and soft/chewy. It's that pizza you can fold in half and hear a crisp, but it's soft enough on the inside where the slice doesn't split into 2. We opted for a white slice and a pepperoni slice. The white slice was so good for me and hit all the perfect pizza points for me. As for the pepperoni... just look at those beautiful and glistening pepperoni cups. I think that picture speaks for itself. There's not a lot of seating inside the restaurant - a handful of bar seats and 2 itty bitty tables for a couple of people. There are a number of tables outside though. As for the service? This place is pretty busy. It's good considering it was just 1 guy bartending, taking orders, running the register, and helping with reheating slices and 1 other guy making the pizzas for an evening rush. But don't except anything beyond that.

Yelp
If you like burnt, inedible pizza - this is the place for you. So sad that half my order had to be thrown out as I was really excited for my vodka slices.

Yelp
I discovered grand street pizza because I wanted to have a quick dinner before my comedy show I was going to and I was so happy I decided to stop here for a quick bite. The pepperoni slice was delicious and I especially liked the spicy honey I kept adding more spicy honey on my slice. It's a great spot to catch up with a friend and have slices. They had the Yankees game on. I ate at the bar and the bartender was friendly. Pizza: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. They have a quaint outdoor area right out front and a small but cozy seating area inside with a couple of tables and bar area. We were serviced quickly and got our slices brought to our table. Prices were decent - about 5 bucks a slice. Vodka - Delicious! Crust was thin and crispy while the vodka sauce was perfection. Margherita - Great amount of toppings! Loved how the tomatoes blended in with the sauce and weren't just slices on top of cheese. Basil was plentiful. Everything tasted fresh. All of the staff was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Great place to get a quick bite!

Yelp
I like the slice here more than Scarr's. The ordering at the bar vs the person is a lil confusing but def recommend.

Yelp
Hidden gem in LES. So so delicious I think about it from time to time and come back. Had the vodka and pepperoni pizzas and both were delicious. The dough is the right amount of chewiness and thickness. I usually don't like eating crust, but I really enjoyed eating theirs. The topping to dough ratio was perfect. The best thing here is their spicy honey. I couldn't stop dipping my pizza in it.

Yelp
I wouldn't have minded eating another slice. That's already a good score in my books, because my pizza cravings are usually fulfilled after a couple bites. Grand Street pizza has the thin crispness and light airiness that you would find in an absolutely top tier slice. Texture wise, it's almost up there with Lucali. While a very impressive score, I think they just had slightly above average flavors. The cheese was good but nothing remarkable, and the crust wasnt something I wanted to eat (flavor of the dough). The basil, tomato, garlic slice had fresh ingredients but the preparation didn't really draw out the full flavor profiles that I wanted to taste. Still though, this is a really good pizza and I'm honestly being picky because I'm comparing it to Lucali as we speak. This is worth going to for sure and is a slice shop im satisfied with giving a 5* rating.

Yelp
Pizza here is honestly pretty good! They don't have a super extensive menu but they have the staples. I got a cheese slice and the tomato sauce is just the right ratio of salty to sweet. The amount of cheese is also a perfect ratio and not too overwhelming. The crust is baked crispy and soft. I would definitely come back for some slices. The ambience inside is cozy. It's a small place with bar seating and only 2 tables inside so there isn't much seating tbh but there is some outdoor seating. The cheese slice is $3.25 each and the others are around $4. I got my slices to go which came out pretty quick

Yelp
Got OG slice and knot. Best slice around by far. Small place great ambiance. Service top notch. Everything fresh. Was serving families and individuals. Will be back.

Yelp
This is a great slice, one of my favorites I've had in the city. Cool interior as well

Yelp
Grand Street Pizza is a small pizza spot squeezed into Grand Street. the interior is essentially a classy cozy beer / wine bar serving up a small variety of pizzas by the slice or pie. first time i stopped in here, it was right before closing and i snagged the last plain slice--the pizza is really on the thinner side of thin crust pizza. there was a lot of flop to the crust (will chalk this up to it being last slice) but the flavors were on point: a balanced tomato and garlic sauce underneath the melted layer of mozzarella atop crust made for that satisfying savory cheesy carb bite that you want in a slice. went back to GSP another day, got another plain slice and the crust was way firmer with just a little flop. the fresh slice still had all the flavors i enjoyed the first time around but on a firmer crispier thin crust. a single slice, here, is more like a snack which is what i wanted. service was friendly and quick bother times around. interior seating is like 7-8 at the bar and two small tables. there's some sidewalk seating, too. great spot to postgame some calories after shopping at the nearby Trader Joe's which is less than a block away!

Yelp
Might be the best pizza joint in NYC. I'm holding off on making that official because I just tried L'Industrie this past week and think Grand Street is better, but I want to give L'Industrie one more shot when I can try it fresh.

Yelp
1/1 Ambience; .5/2 Food; 0.5/1 Service; 0/1 Value My friend and I were looking for a quick late night bite in the LES when we found Grand Street Pizza as a Yelp suggestion. When we first approached and stepped in, we almost turned around because the ambience is reminiscent of a romantic sit-down restaurant while we just needed a speedy slice. It is absolutely gorgeous inside with a lovely bar, candlelit tables and a dimly-lit charming atmosphere. But that's as far as the merits really went for us. We both got the regular cheese slice because that's all that was left by 11 p.m. The slices are thin and the undercarriage was great, being just slightly charred to my liking. However, the sauce, cheese and overall flavor were bland other than the overwhelming saltiness. The plain crust was also bland, overly chewy and dry, so I ultimately discarded mine. While service is quick, our pizza was served cold further detracting from the experience. Overall, we were both very underwhelmed by the experience. While the ambience is beautiful, the food quality and portion simply did not justify the cost at $3.25/slice as it felt more like a glorified $1 slice.

Yelp
A snazzy pizza spot. 4 for pizza 5 for vibes. Mostly a small bar but has a counter that sells pizza slices. Very vibey - I liked the concept. Could be good for certain dates (keep in mind there's a lot of moving traffic from ppl getting pizza but it's not loud; prob awk to try to canoodle here tho). Pizza was very decent, classic thin crust. I think Joes might still be slightly better? Comparable, so very good. Joe's is oilier with larger pepperoni pieces. Come here for cozy late night pizza vibes not at a pizza shop
google avatar

Yelp
Vibes here are immaculate. Excellent pizza - tried the pep, vodka, sausage & peppers, and the cheese. All fantastic. Negronis on deck. Sopranos S2 with subtitles a perfect cherry on top.

Yelp
Food was amazing! We order the whole pie. Pie was sausage and Pepper. So amazing and thin just right. I have to admit it has a lot flavor and was just right. Not spicy and full of flavor. Would totally recommend. It's cheap and 30 dollar for a whole pie. It was able to feed 4 people!

Yelp
Food 10 Girl at the counter 0 Ordered ahead around 6:40 for pickup to minimize the wait time. Arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 and was made aware that my online order hadn't even been seen yet by the staff. Instead of being told "we're sorry and we'll have it ready for you as soon as we can," I was told by the girl at the counter "the order says 7:20, so it will be ready by 7:20." I stood outside the restaurant for 20 minutes. When I went back in, the counter didn't remember me. I told her that she said 7:20 and was told "we're busy and it's not ready." 20 more minutes standing in the restaurant and I was handed my pizza. All the counter girl said at that point was "do you need plates?" Look, the pizza is amazing but you cannot treat customers like this. At no point did she say "I'm sorry". A mere shred of service would have gone a long way. Instead, I got none. The pizza was delicious of course...it was everything else which left a bad taste.

Yelp
We just love this place. First off, the pizza is perfect, New York style pizza at its finest. Generally about six varieties available half of which are vegetarian. The staff is upbeat, cheerful and prompt to get you taken care of. Beer and wine selection is very good and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Outside. seating is available but the inside is warm and inviting. The pizza comes out piping hot, give it a minute to cool down a little, fold it in half and enjoy your " slice of heaven". The place is awesome!!

Yelp
Honestly really great pizza. I've been meaning to try it every time I walk to target and one day they finally got me. I absolutely love the vibe inside if you were to dine in. It's intimate and kinda sexy but unassuming. I loved walking in and seeing 4 dudes posted at the bar having an intellectual convo over a candle lit pizza slice. I would absolutely come on a date here. Also, the pizza was very good!! I'd consider this a "classic NY slice". It had all the right things. Just greasy enough, foldable, sauced well with plenty of melt cheese. It is a home run for me and I will definitely dine in, and out soon. 5/5
google avatar

Liam R.

Yelp
This honestly might be one of the only solid slices in the city. The pie is thin and uniform, just how I like it. And a plain slice is like $3.54 with tax - super cheap. Also, the vibes are excellent. I hate how barren most pizza spots are in New York, but this feels like you're hanging out with friends.
google avatar

Brooke K.

Yelp
Really really good pizza! Been meaning to come here for a while and finally stopped in today. I'm happy I did because a lot of pizza places in the city are lacking in flavor and the pizza here tonight was so so good. I ordered the sausage and peppers which tasted really fresh and you could taste all the ingredients separately and the classic cheese which was also really good. I'll retry more slices next time! The inside bar also has a cool vibe.

Yelp
What they say about this place is true. I came from San Francisco for work & searched for a pizza place close to my hotel. The 5 star reviews will not leave you astray. I came for the pizza (intent was to takeout) but stayed for wine & ambiance. Come to find out that the staff working here is actually soooooo sweet and personable. I will 10000% be back one day. But until then, NY, you can't keep this hole in the wall place a secret. There should be a line out the door for this joint.

Yelp
Happened upon GSP as we were strolling through LES and found Rico at the bar and his team dishing out delicious slices, whole pies and beverages in a great cozy bar setting. Rico made us feel like family and this will be our go to spot for delicious pizza anytime we're in town visiting Cheers to Grand Street Pizza

Yelp
This is not your typical slice joint. It's a bar with very limited seating but they do serve slices. Pizza is fantastic. Great light dough, nice crisp and good cheese to sauce ratio. The service was great and very down to earth.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
Really good pizza. The flavors really stand out compared to other joints I've tried. The flavors are complex, but not too sweet nor salty. The only thing that could've made it an amazing slice is if it were more crispy. The pizza was floppy but I think it was because we got takeout and it sat closed for 3 minutes or so. It was also raining outside. Their service is amazing... they messed up our order but rectified it right away and even gave us some freebies on the house. I will definitely return to have it in person and ask for extra crispy next time.
google avatar

Quincey H.

Yelp
Honestly amazing vibes here!! I've never been to a slice shop that was so cute. I got a pepperoni slice and a white slice. She asked if I wanted pesto on the white slice which I of course did. I dined in and she brought water over to the table. I'm not in this area super often but definitely would recommend this place. All less than $10!

Logan K.

Yelp
Staff. Food. Drinks. Dessert. Atmosphere. Fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently good quality pizza thin crust excellent sauce to cheese ratio and sauce to garlic and basil ratio in the tomato basil garlic slice Sausage slice not overloaded with meat, I don't like it when the meat overwhelms the pizza
google avatar

Lorraine S.

Yelp
It's a shame it was delivered to me poorly bc this is one good slice ! I loved the crust. Light , thin and airy with a nice touch of oil I liked. The sauce is lacking in flavor and quantity somewhat but that may be good bc this is not a sweet sauced slice. I'll say the crust shines. Good cheese ratio. I do feel it's kinda pricey at 8.50 for 2 slices via delivery but there's not that many places that allow you to only have 2 slices to be delivered.

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
This review is not for the food but for the fact that they don't accept any bills higher than a twenty and won't even warn you about it. I had ordered a pie for pickup over the phone (Which came to over $30) and walked all the way there just for the man to tell me he can't accept my bill because it's too big. I tried to find a shop to break it but after 10 minutes had passed I said 'screw it!' as I didn't want cold pizza. For the prices you are charging, how do you not accept a $100?
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
I can easily say this is not your average pizza spot. I can also admit I have never been in a bathroom with a disco ball before stopping by here. Its a small spot with a noticeable neon sign easily spotted down the block. The interior's set up gives old fashioned speakeasy vibes. There is limited table seating but plenty of seating around the bar where you can hang and chat with the friendly staff members. My favorite slice was the vodka slide. Thin crust crisped to perfection and the pizza wasn't overly cheesy, oily, or droopy. Definitely recommend, especially after a few drinks.
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Delicious fresh pizza in a cute old-school New York ambiance. Unassuming very small shop but the interior packs a big punch. Beautiful decor, relaxing jazz music, dark moody vibes, kind service and delicious pizza made for such a great experience. Sausage and pepper pizza had the perfect amount of fresh tomato sauce, thin crispy addicting crust. Best part is mikes hot honey on the counter to drizzle as much as you'd like. In a city with so many great pizza options, details like the unique ambiance make Grand Street a must visit.
google avatar

Stephan M.

Yelp
Best slice in the city by far. Go and try it out! Favorite is the vodka but you can't really go wrong with anything

Yelp
This is the best pizza on the Lower East Side. Horrible seamless delivery guy.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great local place. The atmosphere is cute with local vibe. The service is outstanding fun and interactive. The pizza is all NY style with amazing flavor. Must have at a reasonable cost.
google avatar

Yelp
Hey guys, I got the OG pizza slice! This is the best pizza I've ever tasted in my life I give it number one. The cheese was yummy and soft and the crust was soft as well. The service was fast. The only problem is it's a bit crowded because the restaurant is kind of small. They also have a bar inside and two small tables inside. They also have outdoor seating.
google avatar

Zachary B.

Yelp
Is this the cutest little pizza place with the most charming bartender on the LES? Probably. Spicy Lenny's pizza + a frothy Irish brew to warm you up on a cold winter's night.

Uzi S.

Yelp
Forget Scaars. This is a very stylish place and great hang for a glass of wine, a brewsky - and of course excellent slices.

John C.

Yelp
YES. The pizza joint i've been looking for. $4 for a pepperoni slice is worth it when it's quality. Great vibes, nice people inside. Went in for a take out slice and honestly wanted to stay but I had my doggo with me and I wasn't dressed to be anywhere in public lol. Either way, I'll be back. 100%. Such a cute spot. LOOK AT THIS PEPPERONI SLICE!!
google avatar

Yelp
I only eat pizza from two places in the lower east side. Grand Street pizza is my first choice. The pizza here is divine. The crust the sauce the cheese everything is perfect. This restaurant is so busy all the time and it makes sense because the pizza is so good. I love the decor with the bar on the side. Often time, I go for my pizza and a glass of wine and I sit outside whenever the weather permits. They make pies and they also make the specialty pizzas this establishment. They accept card and cash. I recommend this restaurant 100%. They also have a mini bar to the side that you can eat and have a drink. It's low key and the ambiance is great! Love this place!

Yelp
Awesome pizza if you like thin crust. NOT open on Mondays till midnight as stated in their hours. A little over priced but still good.
google avatar

Kathryn F.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza in new york - the vibe at the restaurant is great, and getting the pizza delivered is just as good. I'm blown away at the quality and is always 10/10.
google avatar

Mona I.

Yelp
Grand Street Pizza makes the best classic NY style pizza. I love how we only eat pizzas with a light to medium bake and they know how to do it perfectly so the crust is soft and pillowy, while still being deliciously baked. My mom looks forward to their pizza. Last and perhaps most importantly - the people working there are wonderful. Top notch service. Shout out to Hanna - she is amazing and the sweetest. Thank you for always being so nice to everyone.

Eric B. F.

Yelp
Rico's place is fuckin' INCREDIBLE. Some of the best pizza in the city. Go in for a slice and a beer.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood. Slices are reasonably priced (starting at $3.25 for plain cheese), served hot and the crust is a good middle ground between too doughy/too thin. They aren't the biggest slices out there, so you'll definitely need to order 2 in order to be full, but the taste is very solid. The space itself is very nice and cozy. Aesthetically pleasing bar and countertop, with a couple of small tables inside. Long picnic table available outside to sit. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I'm happy to have them join the LES community.
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
Perfect NY slice! We got the tomato and pepp, so good. The ambiance inside is also beautiful and unassuming

Raymond H.

Yelp
Born and raised in Nyc so I where up eating nyc pizza and no one is pizza this thin in the 90s. Inflation is real but if pizza price inflated, pizza thickness should stay the same. Doesn't matter sense if price for pizza is increasing but pizza getting thinner and thinner. Pizza is very thing like paper. No hate here cause Scarr's down the block is also as thin. No clue what's going on with nyc pizza getting thin and thinner. Is flour inflating or owners just going cheap?
