Four New Eateries Will Open at The Colony’s Enormous Grandscape Development | Eater Dallas

"A 400-acre Berkshire Hathaway mixed-use development in The Colony, this 4-million-square-foot project combines retail, dining, entertainment and office space and is anchored by a major furniture retailer. It recently announced four new restaurants and a sweets shop that will join the campus in the coming years, including an Italian steakhouse, an American-classics eatery and a burger concept, further expanding its broad retail and dining offerings." - Alaena Hostetter

Google
Grandscape in The Colony delivers one of the best entertainment experiences in North Texas. The entire area feels built for energy and variety. You get shopping, dining, live music, and attractions all in one place. Every visit feels different. The layout is easy to navigate with wide walkways and plenty of open space. The lawn area hosts frequent events, concerts, and movie nights that make it feel like a community hub. Parking is free and well-managed even on busy weekends. Shops range from local favorites to major brands, and the restaurants never disappoint. Places like Truck Yard, Lava Cantina, and Davio’s give you plenty of options for any mood or budget. The design, lighting, and cleanliness make a strong impression. It’s perfect for date nights, family outings, or meeting friends. Grandscape brings The Colony to life and keeps getting better. 5 stars.

Google
Great play for food and fun. Lots of fun events. My son (10) loves to grab pizza Parry's pizza and play on the lawn with other kids. Bring a ball or Frisbee for the kids to play with, grab an adult beverage at one of the awesome restaurants, and have a blast! Highly recommended!!

Erik A.

Google
Arcade was fun. Fun spot for to take the kids and family they have a bar you can buy drinks and play games also have an upstairs didn't get to go up I saw it on the way out but it looked cool would love to go back again and try out the racing was visiting from California.

Ceres B.

Google
Great stage. Lots of room for chairs and blankets. Plenty of room for kids to play. Cool vibe. Although, I wish all the businesses weren't closed and they had more food drink. Still, good times!

Bigtime P.

Google
Unique but not impressed. If you're looking for something different, then this is a nice change of pace sports lounge but I was not blown away with the omni theater effect. 🍻

Google
Great place to spend a long day with the family. Plenty of activities, stores, and attraction. Get your packeds full of money and go have fun. Yes, you will spend a good amount, especially if you have kids. Great food stops and life entertainment on special days. Pet friendly. Get the puppies with you !

Google
Visited Grandscape with the family and had an amazing time! We kicked things off at The Puttery, which had a really cool, upscale vibe and fun mini golf courses. After that, we caught a movie, then wrapped up the evening with a live AC/DC tribute band rocking the outdoor stage. The energy was great, and the whole space is super family-friendly with tons to do. Grandscape is a must-visit for a full day of fun, food, and entertainment!

Google
we had a blast! this was our first time here there was soo much to partake in! <3 Neo from go carts asked us to leave a review🥳 it was a great experience the staff was so friendly so i was glad to do it :) HOWEVER i think the guys working on the race track tonight were rude and need to be evaluated be they need to check their tone when talking to customers. they were taking their job way to seriously .. i felt like i was in boot camp and i made one mistake i would legit get yelled at (like its go karts?? i'm gonna do my best to follow rules but ofc things happen and they should know that..) it made the experience less enjoyable for me. i would give 5stars if it weren't for some of the workers. I told Neo he was the nicest lol cause it's true.

Yelp
I visited several businesses to see which I was coming back to see. There was a lot to see and do. The crowd of people was very diverse. The environment was family oriented, date night and group meetup, basically, everyone is welcome. I recommend this place. I visited Cosm for Cirque du Soleil, good food, good service, good value and good day!
google avatar

Ziad A.

Yelp
Awesome area to walk around. Good food options and dessert options. Good for kids, there is a theatee, ice cream, coffee shops, and more.
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of things to do here and really neat design. Sadly, most places are closed on a Monday. The place was practically dead and all we really got to do was see a few places, but mostly just walk around. I was really looking forward to the ferris wheel, but it isn't operational on Mondays. Even the fountain in the middle of the place wasn't working. It was pretty depressing. I don't think I would go out of my way to visit this mall again if I visit Texas unless I am directly in the area again.

Yelp
Tacotopia had good entertainment with folk dancers and a mariachi band but it was a bad idea to show ads for Fireside Surf ad nauseum.

Gaby H.

Yelp
Nice clean area. A lot of activities for both kids and adults. There is a movie theater. They have 2 different golfing establishments, game experiences, immersive game box, stores and eateries. They also have a lawn area.
google avatar

DiAndra H.

Yelp
Came for the melting pot event. Overall it was a 10/10. Plus when you finish, it's tones of restaurants to choose from, even more family entertainment.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has so much to do. Food, movies, games, shopping. It literally has EVERYTHING
google avatar

Yelp
Huge place. Check out the indoor Ferris wheel for $1. My kid loves this place. Aquarium above, toy store, and candy store.
google avatar

DeShawna B.

Yelp
This place Rocks! There is literally something for everyone. Very family friendly! They show case movies on the lawn they have a wave pool, attraction shopping and so much more!

Yelp
This place is most happening place in the area! We stopped by sunday evening for walk through restaurant area and to spend time in the kids play area. Little did we know there was some event and location was packed. Took us a while to find parking spot. We then walked to restaurant area, were disappointed to see that they turned off the fountains with lights show. Will try restaurants next time I am in the area.

Yelp
For my 600th Yelp review, I am happy to focus on Grandscape!! Wow, this area has changed so much in the last two years! I was visiting Grandscape for a work conference. Lots of restaurants and tons to do! If you like Ferris wheels, they have a humongous one that I bet looks awesome at night. Wear comfy walking shoes, sit outside for a bite to eat, and enjoy the clean area! The parking is limited for such a large destination- just an FYI
google avatar

Lexi H.

Yelp
Great area and location full of different restaurants and activities for the family and adults. They have a lot of live music and events throughout the week. You can bring lawn chairs and enjoy the area. Very family friendly and pet friendly.
google avatar

Paityn V.

Yelp
The parking experience here is quite good! There's plenty of space, and it's easy to navigate. However, during peak hours, it can get a bit crowded. Overall, a solid option for visitors.
google avatar

Yelp
Interesting big shopping and entertainment complex between Dallas and Oklahoma. It is a mashup of Mall of America and Irvine Center with a little Dubai sprinkled on top. Lots of indoor activity places (cricket, race cars, etc.) to combat the oppressive heat and chilly prairie winds. I think it's a great idea to have some sort of destination amidst all the new housing developments being built. Definitely a people watching opportunity l; Scheels is a great store.
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
Always a good time. Great restaurants, things to do. The activities make a great day/night out. The Great Big Game Show is a blast. We love the open lawn area.... Always something entertaining. If all else fails hit Scheels up for an indoor Ferris wheel ride.
google avatar

Sharyll H.

Yelp
There is sooo much to do here. Use valet, it's worth it, especially on the weekends!!! Great restaurants, bars, sweets, entertainment, resting areas, attractions.
google avatar

Juan Q.

Yelp
Place continues to evolve and grow. There is plenty of room for more restaurants and other attractions. All of this, and it has only been 9 yrs. Great place
google avatar

Sheilicha S.

Yelp
Walking around GrandScape and ran into this beautiful Fountain that spouts out water every few minutes. It's very tranquil to sit down and allow the mists of water from the wind blowing onto our skin. A beautiful afternoon to be enjoying the outdoors with family.
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
What a great venue. Many food choices. Huge Game Center with indoor karting. The Friday night music was really good but remember to bring your own chair. There is just so much to choose from here. A wide selection of shops and food.
google avatar

Sonia M.

Yelp
Lots to do here. Food, fun not to mention the huge ferris wheel. We were visiting so we didn't have time to go to the glow in the dark go carts. Next time but yeah this place is cool.
google avatar

Sherry O.

Yelp
So fun for family outings!! The weekend markets and concerts are so fun for everyone.
google avatar

Guy H.

Yelp
They get three stars just for the design and creation! Nice size out door stage nestled amount shops and hotels. There was some kind of recital going on when I stopped by. Looks like a great place for some live music!
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
The only store worth going to is scheels. But it is fun to walk around. Also there is a cult in the underground parking garage.
google avatar

Stephen W.

Yelp
We went here to see the Jurassic World exhibition (which was great) and really enjoyed ourselves. The exhibition was very well done and the dinosaurs (especially the T-Rex) were very realistic. The little one loved it and said afterward that we saw the dinosaurs that did not die long ago. It was cute. As others have noted, it's a whole shopping community with stores, numerous restaurants, and a movie theater. Parking is plentiful and free. It's a bit of a drive for us just to go shopping or to eat, but we plan to return when they have a new exhibit
google avatar

Yelp
Visiting Texas for the week and wanted to find something low key but fun. Great place!!!

Yelp
The Colony/Grandscape area is a vastly growing part of DFW, and it is one that I've been meaning to explore for quite some time now. I finally had the chance to go and enjoy some music on the lawn! Apparently they do events out here on certain evenings. My friend found out about this one from a social media post. They had a 90s night along with a silent disco which was super cool! The Colony wine bar/patio was also open and they had a little concession stand area. I felt like I was at the state fair and it got me excited for that this fall. The ferris wheel is also pretty awesome and looks lovely at night! Lots to do in the area, ample free parking in the garage and you could really make a day (or night) of it out here. Stop by, explore and enjoy.

Yelp
We visited in the morning before 11:00am. Most of the places weren't open. This was on a Saturday no less so seems odd that places don't open yet. It was super hot too so we could only park ourselves inside the Andretti game venue and waste our money there. The Ferris wheel had an extremely small booth that nobody can notice unless you're looking for it and go close. It seems that area is constantly under construction too. The Ferris wheel ride is nice and the fact that it's air conditioned inside the gondola is definitely a plus. But anyway besides the fact that the view is quite underwhelming, we enjoyed the ride. Went at least 7-8 revolutions. I expected just 4-5 and I'm not sure why I expected that. I had thought I read that somewhere upon entry. And yeah, had to park quite far cause most of the spots were reserved for valet. There's really no reason to do valet here short of a money grab. We're Texans, everyone drives and can park cars. In the main square, it almost feels like they wasted a lot of space for no good reason. There's some structures that looks like just a waste of space where more benches or even greenery would've been more efficient.

Yelp
Grandscapes has so much to offer - movie theater indoor gaming arcade with indoor go kart plenty of eateries - pizza/ice wine on the go plenty of good spots for photo shoot free entry free parking big wheel open theater on the lawn has sheels store Omg we just love to hang around here so much. It's just unwinds. A lot of times they have concerts in the open theater and it's so much fun!

Tearani W.

Yelp
Nice selection of activities and eateries. However, I was greatly disappointed that a lot of the businesses near the back didn't have paved entryways. It's like they just stopped paving the rest of the area, unless you were going to the outdoor putting area. I went after it had rained and didn't like the idea of getting my shoes that dirty. I felt bad tracking dirt and mud into those businesses.

Nelly N.

Yelp
We love it here! It's always a great experience! The only thing we didn't like is the arcade, they charge tooo many points for the games and give you less in picking a price because everything is overprice. Only part we found disappointing for the kids. Otherwise, nice to come and enjoy a family day out!
google avatar

Eva D.

Yelp
Really nice area to stroll around and enjoy some good food. It has several entertainment venues, to include a movie teacher and a racetrack. Plenty of options for food, coffee, and desert . All in all, we enjoyed a nice evening strolling around and enjoying their Fourth of July concert.
google avatar

Stacey A.

Yelp
Visiting and found this place through a google search. It's still building but enough there to have quite a few hours of fun. My family played a few virtual games and then went to the indoor arcade and game room. Parking garage is free and a little confusing to figure out where to park. Hoping to come back next year looking forward to what will be added.

Yelp
Been coming to the grandscape for a few years. It's always been a fun experience and a great time. Tonight was a bit of an issue: with my kids, wife and friends here from Australia - we waited at the crosswalk near PF Change to head towards the parking lot. One of the crossing traffic security guys (white and blonde or lighter hair) was waving cars through - but proceeded to yell and lose it on a car that he was not happy with their speed through the intersection. It was not only uncalled for, but highly unprofessional and even scared our kids and guests. To get that large and on that big of a power trip is uncalled for and there was no reason for it. We all were happy to wait our turn and he needed zero show of aggression. Security guys I am sure get little respect at times, but that was not close to appropriate from this guard. The car was not in anyways at fault and even if he was, deserved zero of the treatment this "officer" exhibited.

Yelp
Lots of nice shops, 26 restaurants, and green space allow for concerts and entertainment. Anchor stores seem to be Scheels Sports and Nebraska Furniture Mart. New construction is still going on. Look for Parry's Pizza, Davio's, Windmills, and a large Ferris wheel to ride. The unique Truck Yard restaurant is nearby. This shopping area is grand, and on this Saturday the area was packed. Fortunately, there are huge free parking lots. Sidewalks and a tunnel allow bicycles and walkers/joggers to be safe. Lots of walking here. Restrooms are near the green space.

Christopher H.

Yelp
So many things to do... Restaurants, entertainment venues, and sights to see and explore!
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Truly amazing with dining and entertainment at your finger tips. I highly recommend the pepperoni pizza at Rock & Brews and the burgers at Walk-on's Sports Bar are meant to be shared unless you're really hungry. If you're bringing family or friends to The Grandscape as tourists, a must experience is LSA ( Lone Star Attitude) that will not disappoint! Excellent eats and you'll get a kick out of the naming conventions used on their menu.
google avatar

Sharon T.

Yelp
This is such a great destination. It has so many different places to visit. Huge sports store/indoor karting and video games place. Restaurants small specialty shops. Great live music stage most weeks(no coolers or outside alcohol allowed) a cool fountain that has a display after dusk on the hour.
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
I love this new Grandscape area!!! It was fun enough going to Nebraska Furniture Mart, but all of the new restaurants and shops are amazing!!! We went out there yesterday for the first time and loved it! There is a great vibe. They have an outdoor stage and big screen for games during the day, and a band in the evenings. There's plenty of lounge areas with comfy seats and fireplaces to just sit and enjoy the music and beautiful weather. We tried Parry's Pizzeria and can't wait to try the other restaurants. There's also a bakery and coffee shop I'm looking forward to trying.
google avatar

Jodi W.

Yelp
Beautiful area with lots of nice places to eat, shop and play. Loved the indoor, adults only putt putt. The Ferris wheel is permanent so you prolly don't have to worry about getting throw'd off. That's a plus. Have been back a couple times. Don't go on a weekend if you like a quieter environment.
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Grandscape is a fun place to explore. Kind of a giant outdoor shopping mall meets almost an amusement park or something. That probably isn't the best description. First off it is huge and some of the stores/activities that are huge. Scheels is an enormous sporting goods store there. Andretti's is like a huge Dave and Busters with an indoor go-kart area. There is a big grass area for outdoor concerts. And more and more and more. Overall, I would say it is very unique place and I don't know anything else like it in DFW. It is worth checking out. It can be really crowded and there is also seemingly constantly construction going on as they keep adding to it and adding to it.

Eddie V.

Yelp
Horrible when it comes to listening music here. There are signs posted all over stating no playing with balls during concerts..... yet there they are .... Kicking soccer balls knocking people's drinks over or hitting people with soccer balls..... with no enforcement ..... what a shame ..... it's a slum now. No parent controls of their own children .....

Lauren L.

Yelp
Great place for family, friends and pets. The outside area is very nice. The businesses around are so welcoming.
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
Beautiful area with a great selection of restaurants and fun things to do, especially with kids! A staple would be to experience Nebraska Furniture Mart

Lee C.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE Grandscape for all the dining, entertainment, shopping and even people-watching that is available, although parking is a nightmare because of it's popularity. It won't stop me from going back though!
google avatar

Krista R.

Yelp
Neat place. Has plenty to do, see, and eat. Will keep you occupied for a day at least. There's a Kilwin's chocolate out here, Andretti racing, a coffee shop, restaurants, and more. Scheks? Scheeps? Scheels? I don't remember the name of it, but if Academy, Bass Pro Shop, and Outdoor World had a baby, this store would be it. They also have mini concerts here, I guess.
google avatar

Jeff W.

Yelp
They've pretty well taken all available parking and handed it over to valet and pay to park. It's sad that such a family friendly place has turned so greedy. My wife and I went on a Saturday to get lunch. It was not crowded at all. But all the hundreds of empty parking spaces were "reserved" for valet. Good luck Grandscape!
google avatar

Sandi N.

Yelp
Came to the Dallas area for a weekend and decided to come check out a Fleetwood Mac tribute band for a free concert. Was really pleasantly surprised at the awesome stage set-up and great sound system. We expected a little tiny stage tucked in a corner of a mall. This is a professional quality stage with huge lawn area. They sell beer/wine and have large clean public restrooms right near the lawn. What more could you need? It made for a fun evening out!
google avatar

Travis ..

Yelp
Yall have some major cockroach problems around the benches & flower bed walls. So if you're sitting watching a concert or waiting for a table make sure to say hi to your little friends!
google avatar

Veronica E.

Yelp
Really cool spot for all families! It has entertainment, food, drinks, very cool ambience!
