I traveled to Da Nang during the New Year holidays from late 2024 to early 2025 on a 6-night, 7-day trip. I stayed at another hotel for the first three nights and booked a Deluxe Twin Room at this hotel for the remaining three nights.
To be honest, I do not recommend this hotel. It was a big disappointment, and after just one night, I canceled the rest of my stay and moved to another hotel. Below is an honest review of the pros and cons.
Pros
• Japanese-speaking staff
Not only the manager but also local staff members can communicate in basic Japanese.
• Staff greetings
Staff greet guests very enthusiastically, even from a distance. However, they frequently interrupted our conversations to ask questions such as “Where are you going?” or “Did you sleep well?” While this level of attention may appeal to those who appreciate old-fashioned Japanese-style hospitality, I personally found it intrusive and unsettling. This hotel is not suitable for guests seeking a calm and relaxing resort stay.
• Public bath
Staff were always present and cleaning the floors, so it was kept clean. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. However, the conditioner made my hair feel very dry, so I recommend bringing your own.
• Laundry facilities
Washing machines and dryers are available for 100,000 VND (about USD 4–5) each. Staff collect the laundry after it’s done, so you don’t need to wait, which is convenient.
Cons
• Very dark rooms
The room was much darker than shown in the photos. The only light sources were bedside lamps, bathroom lights, and a lamp near the window. Possibly due to the rainy season and cloudy weather, I needed my phone’s flashlight even during the day to unpack my suitcase.
There is no master light switch, so at night you must walk around the room to turn off each light individually.
• Exterior corridors and thin doors
Rooms (except villas) are accessed via exterior corridors, meaning you get wet when it rains. The doors are thin and poorly soundproofed. Being located along a main road, I could clearly hear car horns, loud music from nearby houses, and children screaming in adjacent rooms.
• Unreliable plumbing
Water pressure in the shower and sink was unstable. Hot water would suddenly stop, then switch to extremely high pressure, or the temperature would suddenly become very hot.
The toilet flush works but is weak, and the tiles in the shower booth are uneven. Although the hotel reportedly opened in 2018, the facilities feel quite worn.
This hotel is advertised as a 5-star property on booking sites, but compared to other 5-star hotels, it falls far short. Realistically, it feels closer to a 3-star hotel. It seems the hotel tries to compensate for poor facilities with excessive service.
This hotel may suit travelers who are not experienced, feel anxious without Japanese support, do not want to speak English at all, or want Japanese food for breakfast. For everyone else, I strongly recommend choosing another hotel.
