First time here and would definitely go back. Started off with the nachos as our appetizers which was a great choice considering the size of the platter. Nachos were delicious, we ate the whole thing! For my dish I got the Cajun pasta and it was very good, didn’t care too much for the sausage but overall the chicken and everything else was very tasty. Tried my sister’s mango margarita and wow one of the best margaritas I’ve ever tried. I recommend and would definitely go back. The place itself was cute and really big, we got seated in like a back room which at first found odd but it turned out great to be able to have some much needed girl Talk with my friends.

I had the pleasure of hosting my surprise engagement party at Granite City in Schaumburg, and it was an unforgettable experience! We had a private dining event with 40 guests in their beautiful atrium room. The catering manager was amazing, offering great suggestions to please all tastes. Our server, Mike D, was outstanding—he checked on us several times throughout the event to make sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. They also provided a connection to their TV, allowing us to showcase a special slideshow, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend Granite City for anyone looking for private dining in a welcoming and elegant setting.

Honestly stopped here simply because it was walking distance from the Hampton Inn next door. Next time I will walk further for something better. Food was average at best. Portions were pretty small for the price. Server was nice but slow. Took him forever to get my drink order, then come back for my food order, etc. Just not great service or food. Menu had quite a bit of variety, and atmosphere was okay. I won’t be coming back though. Don’t pay extra for the waffle fries as a side as they were basic ole fries. Nothing great. Also paid “extra” for their signature dipping sauce…and it was gross. Had the Millionare Bacon Burger. Bacon on it was good, but that was about. Cool made it too rare so much so I was looking for blood in the meat. Eat somewhere else unless you don’t have another choice to walk too - like what happened to me.

First time here and overall we had a great experience. My husband ordered the fish fry and enjoyed it and the fries that came with it. I had the Mediterranean Chicken. The heavy balsamic flavor took me a few bites to adjust, but once I did, I enjoyed the different flavor. My only disappointment was the dryness of my chicken.

I went here last weekend for dinner. It was not too crowded. We got a table real quick and it didn’t take much time to get the food too. The crispy Asian shrimp taco was delicious and it tasted sweet. The tacos were really big and the shrimp nicely seasoned! I loved it! Also tried the impossible burger and it tasted good too. Out of office drink was amazing! Overall it was a nice place to hangout with friends and not too noisy.

This was my first and most likely, last time ever coming to this establishment. I was told the food was "really good" and though the avocado grilled cheese I had WAS delicious, their waffle fries were not. You pay extra for waffle fries and one would think they would be good. Instead, if you can see in the picture, I must've been given the ones that were sitting around for an hour. They were not warm, fresh or crunchy and it consisted of mostly little bits of fries and not actual fries. We sat right next to the vats where the beer is made and I question the tape that is around the pipes. They are covered in a black substance. Is that keeping something out or is that substance going in? Considering they deal with drinks and food, that isn't appealing at all. And speaking of drinks, I ordered a "flight." What I had was okay but nothing spectacular, nothing that would set this place apart from any other brewery. Personally, I would not waste my time or money on this place, nothing really spectacular about it.

Google
Ordered the meatloaf, a cup of beer cheese soup, and an ale. The soup was great to start the meal. For the meatloaf I was originally expecting it to be on a bed of mashed potatoes as mentioned by the waiter, but came out with the potatoes on top. The green beans were a nice addition to the meal as well. I think having each food item in it's own place on the plate would be better than all stacked on top as a personal preference and also allowing for slightly more potatoes. Overall good meal, would like to try other items.

TLDR: Go somewhere else. Below expectations across the board and for about $30 a person, everything else nearby is a better option than this place. Full review - I'm a local to the area. I went here with a party of 4 on a Saturday evening prior to a comedy show at the mall. Here's my honest and unbiased take. Service (3/5) - No wait for seating, friendly hostesses. Our waitress was cordial and polite. It just felt like the service was way too long though. We were there for two hours, and just many times felt like we were waiting for her to come back. Now I tend to give someone the benefit of the doubt, as you never know how many other tables or responsibilities that person is juggling at any given moment. But it was frustrating since we got there at 7:30 and couldn't leave before 9:30 (the show was at 9:15). Food (2/5) - The food was the worst part. Terrible? No. But disappointing? Yes. Now let me say I am definitely not a tough critic when it comes to food. I tend to be pretty tolerant and have fair expectations. But I would not come back to eat here. For appetizers, we tried the old bay (dry rub) chicken wings and brussels sprouts. The wings were extremely overly salted. The brussel sprouts were so-so; it seemed like they could use more flavor. As for some of the meals, we shared we each to try it out. All of the dishes were just below average (with the exception of the burger). The steak had good flavor but was super dry and didn't have a lick of juiciness to it. The salmon was overdone and lacked flavor. The pot roast too just lacked flavor. Atmosphere (3/5) - Calm and a good place to bring a group. For how relatively new this place is, it surprisingly seemed a little neglected though. When I went to the bathroom, 2 out of the 3 sinks were very loose where the faucet was leaning completely forward (crooked) and visibly coming out of the sink. A little tug and you could probably rip the faucet out. It was just odd to see.

Yelp
We visited the Naperville location today for lunch to celebrate my birthday. What a wonderful afternoon! Our waiter, Marco, was an outstanding server. He was very attentive and made my day! It was even more special since we share the same birthday. Our food was delicious and presentation was impressive. We ordered the buffalo burger and the prime rib sandwich. Their side of green beans were delicious and I loved their coleslaw. Great place for a birthday celebration!

Yelp
This place wasn't bad.... But it wasn't great either..... Service was good the gal was friendly and service was good. I got the impossible burger and it was ok, but the bun definitely wasnt multi grain.... It came with crinkle cut fries which were good but a bit salty.....

Yelp
Granite City is one of the best! From their drinks to their menu variety. It's always a favorite and top choice when deciding where to eat!

Yelp
What a great spot next to a water tower! Easy to spot. I love this place. It's modern and clean. They offer unique craft beer and great bites! There's seating inside and out. Service is friendly and professional. I was impressed with the size of the appetizer flatbread! It was like a full meal:) To my benefit, it had rained earlier and possibly why it wasn't too busy for a Saturday night. I loved the fact that it wasn't loud. There were large monitors near the bar area. And there was a private company celebration in a private room which is good to know. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
A bit of a last second family dinner after a wedding in the prior days and Granite City was a great choice. We had a larger party, so we called ahead and made it happen for us. We had Dean as our server and hats off to him!! He was very friendly and attentive to not just our table but some other tables that had large parties too. He did explain that there was no official gluten free menu but the kitchen was very flexible with what they could do with the dishes. I had the mocktail and let me tell you, how fun are they!?!? The flavor was excellent and the appearance was second to none. And for a great cause? Yup, count me for another next time! The sandwiches/burgers were all very filling and enjoyed by my parents and brother. I think there is a pattern with Breweries and asian grilled chicken salads that I have been missing out on. This was so delicious! The sauces and dressings didn't overpower each other at all and blended well. A very healthy and filling option and very easily made gluten free with the wontons on the side. Excellent choice for a family gathering. We had no idea how accommodating a place could be with a day of reservation for a larger party. This place blew us all away. With the casual dishes and the unique plates, you couldn't go wrong in my eyes. Well done Granite City!

Yelp
Ok beer and food. My kids like this place. Good for work meetings, lunch or dinner. I wish I could them a 3.5 star.

Yelp
I stayed at the Hampton Inn next door for a while and had the opportunity to eat here several times. I enjoyed each visit and all of the food I had. First, I loved The Bennie - their German Bock lager - very smooth without overly strong alcohol (5.2%) or flavoring (a pleasant malt flavor). Not bitter at all. My first time there, I had the fish and chips - perfectly fried fish with a crispy thin coating and some wonderfully aggressively seasoned fries that went beautifully with The Bennie. Next time, I tried the Brussels sprouts--they had a great char and deep flavor with the bacon, balsamic vinegar, and some parmesan. Later, I had the Avocado Grilled Cheese sandwich with white cheddar cheese, scallions, and some fantastic whole-grain bread. It was delicious, and it came with those wonderfully seasoned fries. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
The servers and 'manager' decided to yell back and forth across the restaurant the entire time. It was extremely rude. One couple left because they couldn't get their food despite the fact the place was empty. It felt like they were having staff was having a party and the customers crashed it. Our last time here. If I was the owner I would not be happy with this staff.

Yelp
Indulging in the brunch experience at Granite City Brewery was an exquisite celebration of flavors and festivities. The culinary journey was elevated by the impeccable offerings, with the Eggs Benedict standing out as a symphony of perfectly poached eggs and velvety hollandaise, a true testament to culinary mastery. The Prime Rib was a succulent masterpiece, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality cuts and expert preparation. The Mac and Cheese delighted the palate with its rich, creamy texture, while the Hash Browns achieved that delightful balance of crispy exterior and tender interior. In the realm of libations, the Mimosas added a refreshing and effervescent note to the gastronomic symphony, complementing the savory dishes with a touch of citrusy elegance. The ambiance was further enhanced by the availability of a separate private party space, a gracious touch for our 50th birthday celebration. The ambiance exuded sophistication, creating a perfect backdrop for cherished moments with friends and family. Service for our sizable party was nothing short of exemplary; the staff exhibited a seamless blend of professionalism and warmth, ensuring each guest felt attended to with genuine care. Our celebration was elevated by the attentive and accommodating service, leaving an indelible mark on our collective experience. Granite City Brewery surpassed expectations, transforming our milestone celebration into a culinary and social affair to be remembered fondly. Cheers to an establishment that effortlessly weaves together gastronomic excellence, refined ambiance, and impeccable service.

Yelp
Went there for a drink with a friend. The place looks nice with a sports bar kind of place. With decent service. What turned me off was the old fashion that I ordered. Wasn't anything out of this world (maybe cause they're mor of a brewery). Just not a fan.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went for happy hour, the service was the worst we ever experienced. The bartender, Nicole H. was rude and inattentive. We waited 10 minutes after happy hour stated to even order, then she gave me the wrong wine. She instantly left so I could not let her know until she finally came back, a good 10-15 minutes later. She said she would get me the wine I ordered and again never came back. My girlfriend wanted water which took a good 20 minutes. We ordered chicken nuggets and did not get the sauce with them, I finally walked over and asked for sauce by the time she got it to us, our nuggets were cold. I had to go over to a table to get salt and ketchup for our fries. The wine she said she would get me never came, she did eventually tell me they were out of it and offered no alternative. Since she was never around, I drank the wine she poured. When our bill came, I asked it be taken off since it was not what I ordered. She was rude and said, well you drank it. She eventually removed the wine and rudely flung the new receipt at me. As we were leaving, I heard her talking to the two guys at the front counter about us. She was saying how I wanted the wine taken off my bill after I drank it. I let them know that I drank the wine because she was no where in site and did not offer any alternative. They defended her saying she was working alone. There were only two other people at the bar and a few tables. Any good bartender could have handled that. We will never go back, possibly the worst customer service we ever experienced.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Will not be back for a LONG time or even ever. This used to be my favorite chain that my husband and I would frequent, but service has been unbearably awful and it seems that the people they hire do not know what they are doing at all. If they are not ready to be on their own, please take the time to train them properly. The last time we were there, none of our food plates were cleaned off the table throughout our entire meal. We started with wings for an appetizer, and as you can see in the attached photo, everything was piling up and no one cared. This does NOT make for a pleasant dinner experience. If that wasn't bad enough, we were never checked on by our waiter, and he continuously talked to a young girl at the computer screen as he was putting in everyone's orders. They loudly laughed and he even mentioned how scared he was because he felt like he was doing a bad job, and she laughed and said "Oh no you are doing great!" He was not the person who gave us any of our food, so not only did he not check in during this, but he never even checked in after. He also was working alone with his tables, so he clearly was calling out for help and didn't have any. We had to flag him down for absolutely everything and so did everyone at the tables around us. We waited 20 minutes after we finished eating before we flagged him down and asked him for the check. The table behind us had an older man so angry and annoyed to the point he walked up to this kid while he was putting in an order at the computer to ask him for the check. After not having the check taken by the kid for another 15 minutes, he walked up to the kid again, gave him the check, and stomped off angrily. Overall, this place definitely went downhill fast and I no longer recommend it at all. The food overall is decent most times we have been here, but as you can read my updates from a 5-star to a 1-star, the food quality has declined, as well.

Victoria B.

Yelp
4.5 stars. I came here after shopping at Woodfield Mall recently. Granite City, was open late and close by. I had the whiskey glazed salmon and chicken tortilla soup. The salmon had excellent flavor and cooked very well. The chicken tortilla soup was creamy and tasty. Service was good. Overall good location and service.

Yelp
My husband and I made our way to Granite City Schaumburg after being gifted a gift card from a friend. We normally like to support small businesses rather then bigger chains and were reminded why on our visit. Upon arrival, we checked in with our reservation time and had to wait for a table even though half the dining area was empty. Where they sat us was by a large party of 20+ people and the kitchen so we could barely hear each other. The table was sticky with some food still on it. We kindly asked the host to move closer to the bar where we could hear each other better and they graciously accommodated us saying they understood. We ordered the American Mule ($9.50) and Blueberry Long Island ($10.50). I was shocked to see anywhere offer a signature cocktail at those prices till the drinks came to the table. The American Mule was pretty small and didn't take long to finish. The Blueberry Long Island while tasty, was not a long island; it tasted more like a blueberry vodka sprite. Our entrees were the chicken tender dinner and millionaires bacon burger. The chicken tender dinner was a larger size then I was expecting. The comeback sauce was yummy and I was able to take leftovers home. The star of the burger is definitely the millionaires bacon with a savory and sweet mixed taste. Anything with that bacon would be good. Lastly, our dessert of the giant chocolate chip cookie. Perfect to share but a bit difficult to scoop out. Our dish was sliding all over on the plate and it was too hot to grab with our bare hands. Service was a bit slow but our server had mentioned they were newer so we gave them grace. Overall, the food wasn't bad but it also didn't exceed my expectations. This chain hot spot would not be somewhere I would go out of my way to go to again.

Yelp
I've been coming to Granite City for lunch and dinner for years. My first experience many years ago didn't hit the mark, but since, they have vastly improved. The food is delicious and I taste the flavors in all the dishes I order. They are not shy with using spices and portions, which is fantastic. The service is great and servers are very helpful. I enjoy getting soups and salads here, along with burgers. They also have a brewery, so their beer selection is pretty good. I always make a reservation for dinner when I go. They are fast and get you in and out during lunch, which is REALLY HELPFUL. The atmosphere isn't a crazy bar. The dining room is spacious and not too loud. You might hear louder music in the bar area, but not too loud. The prices are pretty good, too. In an area where things are overpriced for very little, you win at Granite City.

Angel N.

Yelp
Beer to go was good, slightly confusing to order since I had my kid with me (staying at the hotel that shares the parking lot). We walked over to order take out and was hoping to enjoy a quick beer while we waited since it was a long day of driving--- but in IL you can only smoke the green herb, kids aren't allowed to sit at the bar. Can you tell we are from WI? Staff was at least polite about it throughout and the Bartender was quick to help take our entire order once that whole process was sorted. The food came up super fast while we waited on the hostess area. Would go back with the family- and sit at a booth next time to enjoy a brew in house.

Mister D.

Yelp
So, the family and I went here after spending many hours in the Schaumburg area. We wanted to go somewhere new. This popped up and everyone agreed. Upon entering I was shocked on how empty it really was. I have been other places on a Sunday evening and those places seemed pretty packed. Anyways, we were seated rather wuickly as expected. Right next where they brew their customized beers. On this day I tried their "wicked" beer. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. I think it is the best we had. I only wished they provided more chips and pita. Portion of the dip is more than enough for 4. For dinner ordered their veggie burger with fries, grilled cheese with avocado, turkey sandwich and their wings. No complaint on the food and the portion. Taste was spot on! Our server was amazing. I think she was the only one present this night and her attentiveness to our comfort was excellent.

Bailey P.

Yelp
I stopped by on a Friday afternoon for drinks and it hit the spot. It's located right outside the mall and seemed pretty empty but I'm not complaining since we were seated right away and the service was very quick. I tried the flying monkey which is supposedly their most popular cocktail. The sweetness masked the burn from the alcohol. The presentation was also cute...bright pink with a fresh fruit skewer. We just had drinks but the food looked good too...maybe next time!

Kathy J.

Yelp
I met a friend from out of town here for dinner. It was ridiculously awful. She ordered one of the fall specials- pork cutlet schnitzel- after the server assured her it was popular and the plates were coming back empty. The pork was tough and the spatzle was so salty and oily it was inedible. We asked the server to send the manager over and either she never notified the manager or he/she didn't care because no one came over as requested. The whole plate of food was pushed aside and the server never commented or asked about it. I ordered a prime rib sandwich. It was not shaved (as stated in the menu) it was slices and chunks and LOADED with fat. Chunks of fat, slices of meat rimmed with thick fat. So much fat that at first I thought it was globs of cheese. I sent it back and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. It took almost 30 minutes for the replacement meal to come. It was chicken tender chunks tossed in buffalo sauce and put on a bun with unmelted cheese placed on top. The fries were cold and limp. We did enjoy the million dollar bacon but the presentation was lacking. It was just curled up thrown into a bowl. At First Watch they at least lay it out on a little cookie sheet tray. I don't know if it was an off night or new kitchen staff or what but I thought Granite City had a rep for decent food. I will certainly never be back.

Ron L.

Yelp
Beer was decent. Service at bar ok/good albeit the place was near empty...Whatever seasoning is on the "Old Bay" wings is NOT Old Bay, which is what I ordered - it's some knockoff or maybe they gave me the Cajun seasoning, but it wasn't good or what I ordered/was expecting. Buffalo wings were just ok.

Diego R.

Yelp
Brunch was all you can eat but all the food choices were to serve a cheap menu and really greasy food. The omelette station was the best thing here. Omelette was really good with a variety of toppings. Fruit and pastries as well. The bacon was cooked perfect the rest of the stuff was too greasy. Way too expensive for the options to eat as well. Need better things for breakfast like grilled cheese or crepes?

Paula H.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch was AMAZING! So many selections to choose from including a carving station, omelets and eggs benedict made to order. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful! We've been to many brunches and this is by far one of the best! The price was reasonable and the service was perfect! We had 23 people (adults and children) and we were seated in a private room off the dining area which was truly appreciated! We highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys a good brunch! We will definitely be back!

Julie P.

Yelp
No hostess at desk in afternoon. People waiting a long time to get seated. Someone went to check on my carry out order and never came back. Points off on customer service there. Got my order. No coins in register to make change when I paid cash. And please, get rid of the silk spring flowers at the entrance outside. It's Christmas. Maybe a florist can install some pine and pinecones and berries and a wreath out front to welcome your guests.

Dawn P.

Yelp
Yuck. This was my first time here and I went as part of a group. After you open the door, which SCREAMS at you when you walk in, you walk into a cloud of what smells like mildew with a faint stink of milk. It's the kind of stink that you would smell at an old, heavily decorated with wood, type restaurant that you might go to on a lake, yet there's no body of water in sight. The food was just as bad as the ambiance. All of had the mix 'n match lunches: two with pasta and soup; one with 1/2 sandwich and soup. One of my group members didn't eat her cajun pasta at all- she said it was like pasta covered in gravy. The other (cheese) pasta and 1/2 (turkey) sandwich were good. We all agreed that the french onion soup was TERRIBLE. It had no flavor, had way too much cheese baked on top, and instead of croutons or crusty bread, I swear they used 1/2 a slice of wonder bread. It was so gross. The service was just ok. We had to ask for refills (each at different times) rather than the server paying attention. It wasn't busy in the restaurant whatsoever, so I can't say the service was just ok due to it being busy. Just avoid altogether.

Kainani K.

Yelp
The service was great considering how busy they were, and the food was delicious! I had the turkey overload sandwich with fries and it was perfectly seasoned. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Kristena R.

Yelp
I came here with a friend and the experience was just okay. They had some really good beers- one of them was an Irish red and it was awesome. We sat at the bar for a few drinks and ordered some appetizers. Food was decent and atmosphere was pretty cool! Our bartender/waiter wasn't too attentive, and we did have to flag him down quite a few times to get his attention. I should mention that it wasn't overly busy, either. He also served us the wrong appetizer. At one point, he asked us what brought us in that evening and I had said that my friend and I were just catching up after a few years and here to relax. He interrupted me mid-sentence and rudely started explaining that's not what he was asking me. He was asking why we chose to come to Granite City. It was a strange encounter. Overall, it was a cool place to hangout and enjoy a few beers despite the service issues!

Olive B.

Yelp
I live out of town and was planning a family dinner for 13 people, and I ultimately selected Granite City because of the photos of their food, location and beer selection. We were there at 630pm on a Saturday night. We ultimately arrived 20 min early but staff were calm and cool and got our space together while we waited briefly. We were seated in an area outside of the restaurant; I believe this was enclosed patio with heaters, I didn't really look too hard, the space worked for what we needed. Our server was calm during a hectic Saturday night; there were several issues with our food being late, which I hold the kitchen accountable for, and this server was very good at not losing his cool when we were in need of drinks or food. From the time we were seated to the time the last plate was laid down, it was 90 minutes. The one side of our table, 7 people, were served their meals, and slowly, one by one, the 6 people on the other side of table were delivered their dinners. Mine came last and everyone had already finished theirs. The food was good; prime rib sandwich was excellent, wings were very good, tacos were also good but the kitchen and bar could not keep up with the crowd, or our needs. 3 stars for the food.

David M.

Yelp
This place is a good place to go for good beer and pretty good food. Their Duke beer is my favorite. As for the food, I always like beer cheese soup. The sliders is also always a big hit. Today we had the patty melt and Tuesday Taco special. The patty melt was average. I also got the garlic mash potatoes but they only have gravy on the weekends. The tacos were also average and tasted like something you can make at home. For $10 on Tuesday though, that was worth it. The bar seen is very casual, yet modern. They have some tv's around the bar, so watching sports while having a good beer is always a plus. They have a good, but limited beer selection. I like that they brew their own beer right there. This is definitely a place I would go to more for a relaxing time, but always forget it's there due to the location.

Ann B.

Yelp
This place is filthy. The brunch is average but it's so filthy I can't even. And don't get me started on the bathrooms. I can't imagine how unsanitary their kitchen is. Service was slow slow slow.

Gina R.

Yelp
Came here and the food came out cold, service was slow, and their seats are worn out torn up. Seems like it's going downhill.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Nice solid American food. Giving 5 stars because sometimes I dream about the maple bacon flatbread :)

Vibha B.

Yelp
Stopped by for drinks before dinner. This was the first time I had been here. We sat in bar area. Crowd- it was very busy and crowded. Noise- high level of noise Drinks- ordered weekend special as suggested by bartender and said that they are really really good. But there were too sweet. But I still liked it but definitely not my favorite. Staff- very friendly and thorough but since they were busy, seemed to be short staffed. Ambiance- very nice ambiance. Well decorated with their signature sign bottles everywhere. Menu has alot of options. Will definitely come back to dine in.

Yelp
came in with no reservation and got seated right away. the built of the restaurant is really nice on the outside and the inside is nice as well. there wasn't many people inside once we got seated. our server was nice and asked us if we wanted anything to drink so we got water and a flight of beer. for $7 it's nice to try them out. my favorite was the pineapple cider. we ordered our app which was the asian glazed shrimp. 7/10. the glaze was overpowering a little on certain pieces but overall good flavor. the shrimp themselves were really good and the lime slaw was a 10/10 for entrees we ordered fish and chips 5/10. the tarter sauce was not that good. the fish had a good crisp to it but had some hard pieces on the inside that were not doing it justice. good crinkle cut fries with seasoning and slaw was okay. also ordered the top sirloin 3/10. the slaw was warm and liquidy. the sirloin itself was a salt bomb. cooked fine but very salty that it was not edible. had to go grab a1 to make it slightly better. the mashed potato's tasted like there was a whole stick of butter in it. which i did not enjoy everyone has their own opinion. at the end we got asked if we needed anything, we were basically done eating and still hadn't received our drinks so we reminded our waitress. probably won't come again to this location.

Yelp
I had such a great time at GCFB this week. I stopped in to sample the house brews, grab a flight and a growler. Loving the Bock! Also grabbed a slice of cheesecake to eat later that night. I'll have to try the food on my next visit. If you're looking for great service, Nicki and Cindy are both fantastic. Nicki took the time to explain all the beers to me. She's very hard-working and sweet. They were both making me laugh. Cindy is very detail-oriented and sharp. A regular came in, and she remembered their order immediately. I wish I lived closer so I could come in more often and enjoy Nicki and Cindy's hospitality. Plus the vibe is cool in the bar area with the brewery through the glass. I grew up in the restaurant business, and can say these ladies are assets. I'll definitely be letting my west suburbs friends know to come in for a brew and good hospitality at Granite City.

Yelp
I always love their brunch, but I decided to try the dinner menu since it was the only place open near our Chicago hotel after checking in & freshening up from the road trip. The food was OK but I prefer their brunch.

Yelp
The food here can be very good, but the service is horrible. Food comes out cold, and it's like the waiters aren't listening to what we order. They brought out the wrong entree twice. I'm not even the type to leave a review good or bad, but we've given this place many chances and the last 4 times have been the same. Cold food & wrong orders.

Yelp
Food was cold when it arrived. I didn't bother sending it back because it took so long to get it. This place is just ok. I'll try somewhere else next time

Yelp
A bit slow service, soup was lukewarm warm and the bathroom had 3" of water on the floor, other than that my sandwich was OK.

Yelp
Always delicious food, great brews, and Joseph had great service too! Bloody Mary is loaded with garnishes! French onion soup was rich and delicious

Yelp
Good late night eats with many menu options. It's one of our go tos, especially with so many places with earlier closing times. Also, shout-out to Joseph for great service

Yelp
We had booked our Mothers Day brunch here recently. Food and service was excellent! More impressively the management. Originally we booked for 19 guests in our party a month and half ago. Days before the manager called us to confirm our reservation. Unfortunately, there was a missed communication and we were booked as only 14 total guests. Emily the store manager advised us that she will jump through hoops to accommodate us and our guests. The day before the Mother's Day brunch she called and scored us 5 more open sits! She and the staff really did care for us! We will definitely come back and enjoy the great service they provided!

Yelp
We are now frequenting this place for all of the above. The food specials for weekday lunch, knowledgeable pleasant servers and rustic modern experience all offer the best in causal dining. The noise level is the only distraction. We have a lot of choices near me but make a point to visit twice a month.

Yelp
First of all, shoutout to my waitress, Halle, for the patience! The storm made it difficult for my friend to meet up with me on time, so she was about an hour late, and Halle checked in with me every once in a while to make sure things were ok with me and that my friend was getting to Granite safely. Secondly, the food was really good! Getting there during happy hour was perfect because this was the first time I've ever been and the menu happy hour menu is great! $3 for a 16 oz of one of their beers on tap? Perfect! Then the wings I got for appetizers were great too! You could have two flavors and we got buffalo on one side and Asian glaze on the other. We ate up all the wings! Then for my entree, because it was Monday, you could order a build your own burger. I was definitely happy with how the burger tasted and the fries were decent too. Lastly, we bought beer flights and those are always a good time. The Zug drink was my favorite and I'm definitely going to order it again!

Yelp
Decent menu. Good appetizers. The chicken tender meal was very similar to Canes, but more expensive. They do have a good brunch menu.

Yelp
Great service. Happy hour is $10 pitcher of beer or seltzer and $6 build a burger is Monday special. Can't beat it! The burger is delicious! Not sure how they make it so good!!

Yelp
We were quite happy to find a brewery to check out, however the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the Millionaire Burger (medium) and Gastro Pub Bison burger (medium rare). Both burgers were a bit more than medium and medium rare. The bison burger had more juices but still looked more medium than medium rare. We had chips and fries as sides which were fine. However the presentation was a bit bland. I think there could have been more presentation put into the plating. Also disappointed that we were never offered condiments for our burgers even though we were sitting at the bar which had higher visibility. Had a very hazy IPA named Wicked. First taste was good and with every taste it began to fall flat. Wish we could have had a better experience.

Yelp
Food was ok. Service was awful. Waited 10- 15 minutes to come to table. Took 10 more minutes to get our water. Someone order ice tea which took 30 minutes to get from a different waiter. It took 35 for our dinners to come. In between ordering our meal our waitress went to work behind the bar. Didn't see her till we were done eating. Then she asked if we wanted our check and that took her 30 seconds to give us that. I will not be back and would never tell anyone to go there.
