"It’s unlikely that any Denver pie shop can match the selection at Granny Scott’s. The shop makes over 30 varieties of pies, which range from standards like pumpkin and cherry to more unique varieties such as Swiss chocolate mousse and grasshopper, which is made with crème de menthe liquor." - Camila Navarrette, Lucy Beaugard, Paul Albani-Burgio

I love stumbling upon places like this; a locally owned shop baking homemade pies right inhouse. Seriously, this is how life should be. We made our first visit on Pi Day (March 14), and while the place was packed, the line moved fast. The staff at the counter were all friendly and patient, even with the chaos. Meanwhile, in the back, a couple of people (Granny Scott herself, perhaps?) were cranking out pies faster than manna fell in the desert. We went with an apple pie, a berry pie, and a peach pie. All were fantastic, but the apple pie took the gold. Perfectly spiced, flaky crust…everything you dream of in a pie. If the Garden of Eden had a dessert menu, this pie would have been on it. They also serve coffee, tea, ice cream, and more. Since it was later in the day, we passed on the caffeine, but next time, I’m making the trek to Lakewood for a fresh slice, a hot coffee, and a quiet reminder that this is what it means to savor life. Moses highly recommends Granny Scott’s, and honestly, if the Israelites had found this place during their 40 year journey, they probably would have just settled in Lakewood.

I love a good homemade pie. I couldn't stop next door for coffee and not check out this bakery. Everything looked and smelled amazing. I bought a half dozen treats for my friends from here, from the lemon poppy muffins to different slices of pie and banana bread. Everything was delicious! 10/10 experience here. I can't wait to come back and try the lunch menu sandwiches and quiche.

This a $9 plus tax and tip gets u at granny scott’s. Ordered the half sandwich was expecting something a little bit thicker or larger than this paper thin tea time sandwich. It wasn’t even the size of the palm of my hand. For $9 at Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mike u get a whole sub. Shame

Just got a couple of slices of coconut cream pie, brought them home and began to dig in… the creamy filling part is very grainy (maybe curdled) and inedible. My friend who is having the other piece says it’s more like a custard texture. Either way, it’s unlike any cream pie I’ve ever had and will not be visiting this shop again. 😔

I LOVE the cinnamon rolls and pies here. I usually stock up on their cinnamon rolls once a week to try to make them last a week but they’re so good I end up eating 4 of them in 2 days! I’ve only eaten their pies, cinnamon rolls and their caramel candy and I’ve loved it. Last time I ate there I ordered a pecan pie slice with a latte to dine in but they didn’t warm up the pecan pie slice so I wasn’t able to enjoy it in the shop. I had to take it home to warm it up in my oven. I would have given this shop 5 stars but having cold pie made my dine in experience disappointing. They do offer a good selection of pies.

Staff was rude and not very helpful. Seemed annoyed at my questions. Chicken pot pie wasn't worth the $11. You kind find much better, much cheaper. My slice of Georgia peach pie was thrown away because the sliced peaches were hard as a rock. I was so mad that I couldn't finish it. I tried to email them feedback but my guess is they didn't like it so I was ignored. Totally regret signing up for their rewards as I won't be back. Village Inn is better and they care if their pies aren't palatable.

The staff are always friendly and the pie is amazing! They have monthly/seasonal flavors, which are wonderful. We love the pecan, maple pumpkin, Georgia peach, strawberry rhubarb. Don't miss this gem!

Nice place, good service, had a chicken pot pie with NewYork cheesecake, grilled chicken sandwich, and pecan pie. The pot pies have a very nice flaky crust, with a good amount of meat, not overfilled with veggies. The pecan pie is not overly sweet. Our order was filled correctly without any mistakes. The floors and general areas were properly cleaned. The tables were wiped clean without any sticky residue. It seems that the meat pies are hand-made and they taste like it.
