We'd always seen the takeout spot, but never knew there was a real restaurant hiding around the side! We finally tried it Saturday night, even though there was a waitlist, but got seated in like, five minutes. Food was good, nothing extra fancy. I had the linguine positano clam pasta, and my boyfriend got the spaghetti pomodoro. He loved it a lot- very rustic and homey but just wished they had a complementary bread basket for the extra sauce that was left on his plate.. My clam pasta was simple and yummy, very garlicky and tasted like the sea.. in a good way. Service was quick, and it was packed the whole time. I'd go back, but they should totally add complementary bread baskets which I feel like we always get at Italian restaurants.

I would imagine I was lucky to get a seat here as the food and service was excellent!! I enjoyed the atmosphere and taste of authenticity. Mushroom ravioli with tiramisu as my dessert. Authentic and robust flavors exactly what I was looking for. 🙌🔥 My bartender/ waitress was very sweet and wholesome. I much appreciated her giving me the very small table against the wall. The place kinda felt like a hug 🫂

Google
When I order an INSALATA MED and instead of feta you put blue cheese from the INSALATA VERDE BLUE salad in it you ruin an otherwise perfectly good salad for someone who loves feta and hates blue cheese. Please try and be better about putting the listed ingredients from your menu in your food. Otherwise a lovely place with great staff.

Great atmosphere; very authentic Italian experience; mussels and pasta and shrimp and tomato sauce pasta were both excellent. Perfect place for a date night. Intimate atmosphere. Food was fresh and hot.

Great service, nice outdoor seating with umbrellas for sunny days. The squid antipasta was fantastic with nice hint of spice from I’m guessing a beautiful balance of black pepper in the seasoning. Great lunch option on a Saturday!

Google
The atmosphere here is GREAT! However, if this place gets busy, the customer service and quality of food can not be quite A+ plus. I will visit here again and choose to come at an earlier time. The dishes all look great, but the flavor just didn't do it. I think because it was extremely busy and food came out cold. The wait was extremely long. 2 orders of Fillet Mingon steak and both was too rear, although insited on well done, I get it it was extremely crowded both inside and outside. It definitely had the Italian vibes. We were a party of 6. The desert was good! Will be back before summer is over! Bill about $300.00

On April 23rd, my family and I stumbled upon Grano Pasta Bar after a long search for a good place to eat. We were in town to surprise my nephew for his birthday and needed somewhere quick, with no long waits. Grano Pasta Bar fit the bill perfectly. Parking wasn't an issue; we lucked out and found a spot right in front of the restaurant. Inside, the ambiance was cozy with wine bottles lining the walls, creating a warm atmosphere. We were greeted warmly by Katie, who provided excellent service throughout our visit. Despite the restaurant having a few other groups, we felt well attended to. The food was exceptional. My sister loved the lasagna, rating it a perfect 10 for its cheesiness. My niece, who's picky, still enjoyed her spaghetti with meatballs and shrimp, giving it an 8 out of 10. My mom and nephew both ordered the penne vodka with chicken and couldn't finish their plates—they rated it 10/10 for its creamy sauce. I tried the ravioli with mushroom, also a 10/10 for its flavors. We started with calamari, which was cooked to perfection, leaving us impressed with every bite. Katie even took a picture of our family, capturing a perfect birthday moment for my nephew. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with great music adding to the experience. It was clear that Grano Pasta Bar values both food quality and customer experience. The prices were reasonable, and the wine selection, including a memorable Moscato, complemented the meal perfectly. In conclusion, Grano Pasta Bar exceeded our expectations with delicious food, warm service, and a fantastic ambiance. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Special thanks to Katie for making our visit memorable.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to in recent years. The clams were amazing and the wine list complemented everything on the menus. Service was top notch and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. We will go back!

Yelp
The place it's very nice and cozy, the workers are very polite and attentive. The prices of the plates range between $18-$26

Yelp
We had walked past the takeout window that faces the main street plenty of times, but didn't quite grasp there was a full functioning restaurant with an entrance down the side street. We decided to try our luck for dinner on a Saturday night and walked in to be told there was maybe a 15 minute wait. We put our names down and honestly were called back within 5 minutes. Very no frills no fuss good eating food. We inhaled the stuffed zucchini app we got to share. For mains I got the clam pasta whereas my boyfriend decided to keep it simple with the spaghetti pomodoro. He enjoyed his meal very much but did lament the fact that there was no complementary bread basket, as he had a lot of leftover sauce which would have been wonderful to dip some bread in. I enjoyed my clam dish, very simply done but very tasty. Service was quick and the place is clearly very popular as there was a constant turnover of diners the whole hour or so we were there. I'd come through again but I would suggest they consider throwing in a complementary bread basket to diners. Would be a nice touch.

Yelp
I ordered through DoorDash and when I received my order, it was still piping hot. I ordered the meatballs and lasagna. The meatballs could have used a little more salt overall so every-time I took a bite, I was slightly disappointed. The sauce could also use a touch of salt as well. The meatballs did however have great herb flavors and I think I tasted some kind of cheese. Although, I didn't notice it when I looked at it. I ended up dumping shredded cheese in the container which h gave me the saltiness it was missing. The lasagna did not look appealing but it did taste good. The types of cheeses they used really did their thing!! The lasagna was flavorful and very fulfilling. I was surprised it didn't have any meat on the inside, but It really doesn't matter. It's still so good! The sauce for the lasagna was good as well. I would absolutely order this again!!

Yelp
What a cute and cozy little Italian place! We've been walking past this place for a year and finally decided that we needed to just go. And I'm kicking myself for waiting for so long! The food here is unreal. It's absolutely delicious. The clam pasta was STUNNING the caprese salad was amazing. The wine. The limoncello. Everything. So good. Cozy. Quaint. With STELLAR Italian food. What more could you ask for?

Yelp
- The ambiance of this place was cozy. However, i felt like the tables were very close together and seemed congested. You're practically elbow to elbow with strangers. - The food was great. We found it to be filling and tasty. - The staff was very welcoming and kind.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner with my best friend. It's a charming pasta spot that you can either take-out or dine-in at. We came because it is one of the more affordable pasta spots in town. We were a group of four and sat outside. It was a Friday evening around 7pm at we waited less than 10 minutes for a seat outside. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming here. We each ordered pastas to share. My bestie and her husband shared the carbonara. We all found it a bit too smokey for our liking. The burrata salad was nice and delicious like burrata always is. I shared the ravioli al formaggio with another friend and we really enjoyed the vodka sauce with it. To finish our meals we ordered the mini cannolis. We all enjoyed the filling. I wish I liked the pastry part a bit more. While none of us ordered this, I appreciated the gluten-free options they offered (like meatballs and a gluten-free pasta substitute). Overall we had a pretty good experience here and I'd be interested to return to try different things on the menu.

Yelp
I sat outside so I didn't get to see the interior, but the bench area was super cute and had an awning over which made it perfect once the sun set behind the buildings. Service was quick, even seated outdoors, and we had the lovely pleasure of speaking to the owner at the end. She came to ask how the food was, which is not something I'm used to anymore after living in a city for years so I was warmed by the thoughtfulness. I ordered a gnocchi vodka and aperol spritz and was not disappointed by either. The gnocchi were chewy and paired well with the sauce, while the aperol was light and refreshing. Perfect dinner spot, especially in warm weather!

Yelp
Came here almost by accident, we're staying in DC and decided to take a day trip to Baltimore, got hungry and end up in this cozy, intimate restaurant filled with a lovely team and amazing food! Thank you for the great dinner!

Yelp
Having been to Rome and many "Little Italy" in the US, I'd say I have the best carbonara and ragu di pomodoro in the US. The pasta is not over cooked ("al dente"), leaving the texture a bit chewy and bouncy, which I really enjoyed. The carbonara sauce is rich and creamy, with the pork/bacon pieces smoky and chewy. In particular, it's not over-salted which makes it stands out in my opinion (sometimes this dish is too salty). And I notice their sauce is not "eggy", meaning that they probably didn't add egg in the sauce (but still rich and creamy), and I prefer it cooked this way. The ragu di pomonoro is light and refreshing. The tomato is a bit tangy but it's the extent that I enjoy. We also had salad and appetizer, both full of flavor and good portion. It was a solid dinner. The service was nice. Our server was nice and explained to us the ingredients and flavor profile of the food. And also recommended wine that pairs well with the pasta (the wine, btw, was very good! Forgot the particular name, but it was sparkling white wine, slightly sweet). The atmosphere was great too, candles on the table, relatively private. Good spot for hanging out with friends and having dates.

Yelp
We were seated at 8:00 on a Saturday night, and while we expected a bit of a wait, it took 15 minutes to even receive water or have the chance to place our order, which we were fine with considering the busy night. However, 45 minutes later, we still hadn't received our appetizer. Meanwhile, the table next to us, seated 15 minutes after us, had drinks, bread, appetizers, and even their entrees before we were given a second round of water. We would have loved to try the food, but unfortunately, it just wasn't our night.

Yelp
My new go-to pasta restaurant! The vibes of the restaurant are quite homey and warm, with dim lighting, artwork, and wine bottles placed around. It can get quite crowded, which especially during the colder months can make sitting towards the front of the restaurant harder, but the food makes it worth it! I ordered the Linguini Zia Teresa, which featured shrimp and linguini in a garlic and tomato sauce, which was definitely the standout meal from all the times I have eaten here. My friend had the Ravioli Ai Funghi, which was a delicious mushroom and ricotta ravioli dish. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, which while a bit oilier than we expected was still a great meal starter (we have since become big fans of their regular mixed olives appetizer). I have also since tried the Penne Vodka, which while also great wasn't quite as top notch as these other two meals. The service was great--we had to wait a while for our meals, and we were given a tiramisu on the house. The major con is the prices, which can definitely be quite steep, but this is a great place for an occasional student budget splurge!

Yelp
We had dinner at Grano it was totally amazing. Started with meatballs & calamari vesuvio for appetizers. For our main dinner we had ossobuco , sautéed spinach & grilled rainbow trout. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. I haven't had a meal like this since Cafe Trioa.
google avatar

Yelp
Hadn't eaten since breakfast so ordered delivery. I ordered the Calimari Vesuvio. I started eating it and noticed the Calimari was a little rubbery but the sauce was good and I was hungry. About 2 hours after I finished it I started throwing up and really didn't stop till 5 am. Maybe this was a one time incident but I'm not going to go through that again.

Yelp
Great delicious food! Attentive staff. The lasagna is how I reward myself! The place has that hidden gem only I know about feel to it. Carry out is super easy on The Avenue if you prefer to eat at home.

Yelp
We had a birthday dinner for my son. It's his favorite Italian restaurant in Baltimore. It's small and cozy place. Good atmosphere and plenty of room for our group of 7.

Yelp
I chose this place on a whim to get dinner with some friends, and knowing their style, I wanted somewhere a little more quiet and intimate. And Grano is just that. It's cozy and warm, it's like a very comforting hug. I instantly liked it when we walked in. We came in on a Tuesday night at 5:30. A lady (maybe the owner/manager?) Greeted us right away. Our friends were already seated and we went to go join them. Our waitress was very efficent and friendly. Got us more water and knew when to come check up on us. We ordered the bruschetta and meatballs for an appetizer. I also got an aperol spritz, while my husband and our friend got an old fashion and beer. Our other friend also got a bottle of wine for us all to share later on. The appetizers came out quickly and were good. The bruschetta was a little oily for me (it was topped with an olive tapenade, so I should've known!). We did take a while to order our appetizers because we were immersed in conversation, but our waitress was never pushy or rushed us. I got the linguine zia Teresa, my husband got the carbonara, and our friends got the cheese ravioli and the bolognese. I'm not a huge pasta person, but I really really enjoyed my dish. The shrimp were a decent size and everything was very fresh. It was flavorful without being too complex. The simplicity of the garlic, tomatoes, and olive oil was delicious. My husband's carbonara was perfect. I almost wish I stole more bites from him. Our friends also enjoyed their dishes a lot and finished it all. We also got dessert. My husband and I split a tiramisu which was a good portion size for 2. It was very light and delicious. The wine was good, and I enjoyed my aperol spritz! Overall, my husband and I would come back here in a heart beat. They don't take reservations and parking is street parking. But what a fantastic gem. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Second time here. Pasta was served hot and fresh. We got the penne vodka and the pollo alla checca. Both very yummy. The first time we came we got two servings of the spaghetti carbonara. One had much more oil and the sauce was completely separated. So don't expect consistency. Service was poorer than expected. Waitresses all seemed to be in a rush and didn't check on us at all. Tables are all crammed together. We had to press ourselves against another couple's table just to sit and then get up. Worst tiramisu I've ever had in my life. The portion was perfect for $7 but the ladyfingers were way too thick and SOLID. I don't think they'd even been soaked at all. They were not spongy and soft and we had to cut into them so they didn't completely lift out of the tray. The entire thing was essentially dry ladyfingers with some pudding on top and a dusting of chocolate. It had some weird dusting of sugar around the outside of the base cake that made it crunchy and hard. Unbelievable.

Yelp
Love grano pasta bar! They used to be BYOB but now have a wine and beer menu. We were able to sit outside as a group of about 5-6 on a cold day; their tent is warm and doesn't feel like you're outside at all! Hard seating for large groups, much more appropriate for groups of 2-4, but they were very accommodating! I shared the Gorgonzola penne and the fusilli caprese (with gnocchi) which were both delicious! We got some bread with the bread basket and the bread was also great. The food was so warming on a cool December evening. This place feels so homey and their pasta is so delicious! The tiramisu is also so good! It's such a big slice and the perfect way to end your meal!

K E.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and cozy, with great service. We had the ravioli with vodka sauce and the puttanesca- both were fabulous and fresh tasting. The wine list is nice, too. We didn't have room for desert but I'm hoping to get back to try it. Definitely worth checking Grano Pasta Bar out!
google avatar

Insia Z.

Yelp
Finally tried Grano, and I really enjoyed it! There were so many things on the menu that sounded delicious, but I ended up going with the mushroom ravioli in truffle sauce, and added chicken on the side, in case that wouldn't be filling enough, and it was so delicious. I was definitely very full and happy afterwards. It was very soul-warming on a cold day. The chicken was flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment. The place is very cozy and warm as well. I'm excited to try the gnocchi, different sauces, and tiramisu in the future!

Yelp
Usually busy with outdoor seating during the week, this Baltimore spring (i.e., 90° summer-like weather) led me to the recently constructed "grotto" rooms behind the main building during an unusual 2-4 p.m. lull on a Saturday. Very quaint and air-conditioned with old-school Italian pop music! Went for the flounder special with lemon, olive oil, greens, green beans and potatoes--so good sopped up with fresh bread from a tiny paper bag! Grano's is a gem of Hampden, i.e., in Baltimore, and not to be missed for proper Italian pasta, sides and atmosphere! They have ongoing specials and pantry items, as well.

Rick H.

Yelp
I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while but don't get to Baltimore that often. We went yesterday 9/18/24 for a late afternoon/early evening dinner. The food and service were excellent and priced well. We had appetizers and entrees with wine and Italian beer. We enjoyed everything we ordered and our server (Katie, I think) was very knowledgeable of the food choices.
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
For being such a small restaurant front, this place packs a lot of flavor. Each dish was mouthwatering and totally worth five-stars all around. If pasta was less in calories--I'd eat here EVERY day. Totally worth the drive into Baltimore! *Monica and Stephanie were great! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here twice recently and am always blown away by how friendly the staff is and how great the service is! The restaurant itself is also warm and cozy. They have a really wide range of pastas so there is something for everyone. Also, highly recommend the salads on their menu! They are all so fresh and make a great starter to split with someone before eating your pasta. The bread with garlic oil is also really delicious. I've always been too full for dessert but hope to try it next time I'm here!

Yelp
I have been wanting to Grano for quite sometime, and I finally got to this on Friday evening, and they did not disappoint. Plus my date had a taste for some Italian food as well. From my understanding they used to be a BYOB restaurant, but now they have acquired their liquor license, so they have a really nice beer and wine menu We decided to dine outside, which they provide a heated tent. Just a few disclaimer's the outdoor seating is perfect for like 2-4 guests, I would not suggest a large group, seating would be very tight. Me and my date started off with splitting a bottle of Moscato Rose', which I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a big fan of sweet wines, but this bottle was not bad at all. For starters, I did the burrata( Creamy center mozzarella, tomatoes, Olive oil & artisanal bread) and my date opted for the Ceasarina salad with grilled chicken( Romaine lettuce dressing with Pecorino Romano, anchovies & olive oil). Both salads were really good, I really liked his Caesar salad, definitely will stop in for lunch and grab one. You cannot come here and not get the pasta, as soon as you walk up, you can smell the delicious aroma wafting from the kitchen. For dinner, I chose the spaghetti carbona( Pancetta, garlic, olive oil, Pecorino Romano cheese and free range eggs ) and my date chose the Fettucine Bolgonase( Original Troia family recipe of ground beef & pork, , vegetable mirepoix & peeled tomatoes), which I did not get a picture of, sorry we were too busy eating our dinners. Overall our meal was really good, we will definitely return, I know I will. Definitely will stop in and grab a nice lunch. I am so glad that I finally got to try Grano Pasta Bar.
google avatar

Clarice H.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. The servers were so kind and so helpful. The food was delicious, felt like food served straight from a home kitchen. They have a wine list now, so you can order glasses of wine. I got a lovely Pinot Grigio. Prices are reasonable. Inside, it is cozy and comfortable!
google avatar

Kell M.

Yelp
This is such a charming place to dine! The pasta tasted homemade and the sauces are made with fresh ingredients. I had the checca sauce with farfelli noodles. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavorful! The only thing I would note is that the pesto took over the flavor a lot but if you love pesto, you'll love this sauce. For dessert, we had the cannolis. You get three small cannolis in an order, the cream was great! Only other things to note is that their new entrance is further down on the side of the building and it is BYOB (with a small uncorking charge). However, coming soon they will have their liquor license. Lastly, they do not have traditional sodas only natural ones but they are very good!

Yelp
4.5. excellent food. nice ambiance, great service...second time there. I really liked my entree, my partner said hers was a bit bland

Yelp
I'm mostly plant based in my diet but I like to come here to try their gluten free rendition of various dishes. Gluten free is a must for me as someone with Celiac. Plant based/vegan is preferred but optional. Wait: None! I was here around 12 on a Friday. Service: The woman who took my order, etc, was super sweet and gave food suggestions based on my cravings. Food: I was pleased. I see the reviews are all over but I was very satisfied with my meal. I had gluten free meatballs, penne pomodoro, a lemon San Pellegrino, coconut flan, and a burrata caprese salad. There wasn't a single part of that meal that I wasn't absolutely happy with. It was all delicious! I will definitely be back! This little gem has a cute outdoor setup that I also really enjoy working from.

Erin S.

Yelp
The food was good and the staff were very friendly and attentive! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
When I wrote a review of Grano back in 2021, they were still in the midst of their COVID pivot (take out only from the window on the Avenue). At the time, the menu was pretty limited (pick your pasta type, pick your sauce), and I don't remember being blown away. Since then, Grano is back! The takeout window in the front is the kitchen now (you can still pick up take out order there, though, I think)!, and after a short walk down Hickory Avenue, you'll find Grano! It's a charming, partly underground (fully underground?) wine cave/restaurant. The service is great (so friendly so you feel like you're at home)! And the food is really good, too. I've been three times since they reopened the wine cave, and the food has been really consistent each time (burrata, meat balls, pasta). The wine list is good, too (options by the glass and by the bottle). Overall, it's just a great place for meal with friends - cozy, delicious, homey. It is popular, so expect a wait for a table if you show up during busier hours, but it's worth a little wait!

Yelp
genuinely enjoyed my experience at grano this past weekend. the service was fast & the entire staff was very friendly. we got the tomatoes and burrata as well as the caesar salad. everything tasted great and was definitely authentic italian! i recommend visiting if you're ever in the area :)

Yelp
This is my second time at Grano pasta bar. And the first time I came here they had a BYOB policy but now they charge a hefty sum of money for you to drink your own alcohol here so it's recommended that you drink their drinks instead. I got the mussels, and they were great! It was a very generous helping and sat in some very delicious sauce. It paired well with the Chardonnay. Solid place with friendly service to have some reasonable Italian food.
google avatar

Rama S.

Yelp
If you are looking for an authentic Italian place to enjoy time with your significant other, family, or even yourself THIS IS THE PLACE. I have been coming here awhile and the service and food have never disappointed. It is owned by authentic Italians who have crafted flavor into each dish. The cook, Joey is AMAZING. I sat outside while it was cold and rainy yet was still warm under the heaters they have put in place - had the perfect date night vibe with the lights. The food came out warm, tasteful, and left us wanting more! p.s this place is BYOB!!!! Will be coming back very soon. I cant recommend this place enough! Fairly priced. great food, amazing service, good location and beautiful vibes.

Yelp
Tasty fresh pasta at a reasonable price. I had the penne pesto and I loved it. The server was friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
The sauce and the noodles are beyond authentic and delicious. Potato gnocchis are phenomenal and the people and service are equally excellent. Call ahead and pick up your order from the window or eat Al fresco on the sidewalk.
google avatar

Thierry P.

Yelp
The spaghetti carbonara was scrambled and tasteless. Don't recommend the dish. Could also use better quality spaghetti for the price. The chicken Saltimbocca (better as veal Saltimbocca) was merely ok. I don't recommend these dishes at all.
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
Maaaaan, I must have come on the hottest day of summer and I WAS NOT FEELING THIS PLACE. It was pretty small (maybe the smallest I've ever been to) and pretty hot. There was this one little fan that could only be felt if you were a foot from it. Though service was quick and the noodles seemed to be homemade, the flavor wasn't my favorite. The reviews for this place was probably better than what I experienced. Something was missing. Not on a must do again list.

Aimy T.

Yelp
Tiny corner spot with takeout or outdoor dining only. We came hungry and left stuffed. We chose the Caesar salad, carbonara, and Bolognese with gnocchi per our server's recs. Everything was excellent, including the complimentary bread with olive oil. Pasta tasted fresh and the carbonara wasn't too salty like another reviewer complained (and I am sensitive to overly salted food). Props to our fantastic server who was running between the kitchen and up and down the hill!

Yelp
Didn't love it or hate it. My friend and I came here on a Saturday evening for dinner and sat in their heated tent on the sidewalk. She grabbed their last table available outside while I found a parking spot, and by the time I arrived there were a handful of people waiting outside. (I don't think there is an area to wait for a table inside the restaurant when it's cold out, fyi) I ordered the Teresa (tomato sauce with shrimp) and while it wasn't bad, it was rather boring. I wish they had added more sauce. My friend got the carbonara with gluten free pasta, and she said hers was too salty for her liking. Service was pleasant and prompt, which was a plus.
google avatar

Mel B.

Yelp
Hate to say it...but Grano did not live up to the love and hype for me. The Checca was recommended so two if us ordered that and one person ordered the Bolegnese. We also ordered bread (you gotta pay for it) and two of us ordered Caesar salads. Salads were good, bread was fine, my dish was realllllyyyyy oily. Bolegnese was fine too. I liked that it was BYOB. Nothing really stood out to me here. I wasn't blown away by the quality of the pasta or the sauce. After paying for salad and bread and your meal, it can seem a little pricey for what you're getting. The BYOB saves a lot. I didn't love it, didn't hate it. Would certainly return if someone wanted to go. Perhaps I would try the carbonara next time around, seems to be a crowd pleaser.

Yelp
All their food is authentic and delicious - plus service is very fast! The space is small but there are tons are fantastic and fresh options!

Yelp
It doesn't seem like much but it really is a gem in hampden- the pasta bar has a take out on its facade, but go around the building's corner and there is a cute indoor and outdoor seating area. I have tried a few Italian places in the area, and I might just become a regular here because you can't go wrong with this place. The seafood is always fresh, the marinara a perfect chunky mouthful, and the bolognese rich. I haven't had a dish that was bad here yet, highly recommend! Parking is a bit hard since it is street parking, however it is worth a visit.

Yelp
Cheap, affordable and great food. Bolognese is a staple that's consistent. However the linguine dishes with seafood seems to be constantly changing. Great date night spot.

Yelp
We ordered door dash from Grano, which was great as a site own restaurant. The door dash order was disgraceful and disgusting. Pasta was overcooked, sticky and tasteless. Meatballs tasted like canned food. Bruschetta was swimming in oil. Calamari immediately went to the the trash. Asked the restaurant what happened. No answer after several days. Won't be patronizing them again unless there's an explanation!

Yelp
Not a great place for solid vegan options. I almost feel bad posting this because I do love when restaurants have clearly labeled vegan options, but really this place has got to do better if they are going to advertise menu items as vegan. I probably shouldn't have expected much from a restaurant that literally serves dead, abused, baby calf (veal ) but the fact that they listed vegan options enticed me. My boyfriend and I got the olio aglio and the pesto pasta for $14 each. We were sorely disappointed even at first when we saw how small the portions were for the high price. Then we go to eat it and both of our dishes were literally BATHING in olive oil. So, so much olive oil. How is that a "sauce?" The pesto was the most light-skinned pesto I've ever seen in my life, with the olive oil dominating the whole dish. Also, one thing I HATE about some vegan options is when restaurants make dishes vegan by just omitting ingredients rather than replacing them. That's just a lack of creativity and exploration. For ex: Pesto usually has cheese, but this restaurant just omits the cheese without replacing it with a vegan cheese, nutritional yeast, nuts, or anything. It was so flavorless and sad. The olio aglio was also sad, also swimming in olive oil, and i felt like I could count the number of little peppers/tomato slivers there on 1 hand (ok maybe 2). It had slightly more flavor than the pesto due to slight heat from the peppers but was still just overall so plain and boring,. I think $7 would have been more reasonable for these dishes- maybe I wouldn't have been so disappointed. I felt like I could have easily made them at home for $1-2 each honestly... just not worth it There was no "vegan protein" option at this restaurant either. No chickpeas, beans, tempeh, tofu, beyond meat, vegan sausage, vegan cheeses, nothing. Just pasta and pasta and more pasta with a minuscule amount of veggies included. Not my kind of place. I really hope they can explore vegan options a little more to produce something more substantial and flavorful without resorting to simple omission. Vegan food is usually very spectacular!

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a long time, and since I had a craving for pasta, I figured it was time to try them out. It's a cute corner restaurant located on the famous 36th street in Hampton. They don't offer indoor seating right now so you walk straight up to the window to place your order. I got the Ravioli Ai Funghi with Italian sausage, Linguine Positano, and Burrata Caprese. Everything was AMAZING. Seriously, every dish was on point-- the flavor was excellent, the ingredients were super fresh, and the serving size was great. Even the pickup time was efficient. Grano Pasta Bar is definitely a restaurant that should be on anyones list for great Italian.
