Grantley Hall

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea at the stunning Grantley Hall, Ripon, with our friends. The service was good — from the warm welcome upon arrival to the attentive care throughout our visit. The staff were friendly and ensured we felt comfortable and well taken care of. The afternoon tea itself was excellent. The selection of teas was varied and high-quality, while the sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and a delectable array of cakes and pastries were not only delicious but beautifully presented. Each item was clearly crafted with great attention to detail. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat affected by the recent heavy snowstorms. While we were inside enjoying the elegant atmosphere, the snow fell heavily, and when we returned to our car, we found ourselves having to dig it out of the snow in the hotel car park. Despite the weather, I cannot fault Grantley Hall. The service was outstanding, and the afternoon tea was a true highlight. I look forward to returning on a future visit, hopefully under sunnier skies! Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for an exceptional afternoon tea experience.

We booked a suite for New Year’s Eve and the whole experience was phenomenal. The attention to detail was first class. The room once of the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. Staff brilliant. Warm, friendly and attentive without being oppressive. Food at 88 on NYE superb. Piper and fireworks. Memorable and magical.

This place is truly amazing! It features five different restaurants, each offering something unique. The stunning Japanese garden surrounding the property is absolutely worth seeing so serene and beautiful. Although I haven’t tried the spa yet, it looks incredible. The pool is equally impressive and looks fantastic; I can’t wait to try it out someday. They also offer afternoon tea, the place is on the pricier side, but it’s a wonderful experience if it’s within your budget. Highly recommended!

Visited a number of times and thought it would be a lovely way to ease into Christmas with an afternoon tea. Lovely to arrive, be greeted at the gates and drive in with amazing views of the grounds.||Fab welcome and attentive team looking after us. A short 15 minute trip from Ripon, Grantley Hall is beautifully kept, even in winter. Calm background music starting at the parking, accompanying you all the way to the front reception. Beautiful fragrance in the aircon & attentive well dressed staff greet you every time. Rooms are beautiful & spacious, beds very sumptuous, bathrooms all different but clean as a whistle. Fab food, beautiful spa & pool, lovely walks on the property..and a helipad. What's not to like.
