Grappe d'Or

We had a great time. The food was impeccable, the service was great, and the atmosphere was cozy

I found this restaurant by accident, and it turned out to be a wonderful dining experience. The salad was simple but very tasty, and the pasta with prawns and lemon was perfectly balanced: you could clearly taste the prawns, the lemon, and the (most likely homemade) pasta itself. Even the bread alone was excellent. The service was outstanding: the staff immediately switched to English when they realized that my French is limited, but still encouraged me to order in French — in a very kind and humorous way. We also had a good laugh when they kindly pointed out that I was trying to order a cocktail instead of a coffee for dessert. I felt warmly taken care of the entire time. The price was very reasonable. The restaurant was full, yet never too loud — the old building, warm lighting and a real fireplace created a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

First of all I was glad, that I got a table, even though my visit was on short notice. For that reason my table was close to the Main Street, but hey that is just fair. The terrace is situated in a side alley and was a pleasant place to stay. Service was perfectly fine, but nothing extraordinary. The Amuse-Gueule was a fine little start. As always the Swiss tartar was amazing. My main course was a very tasty interpretation of a simple pasta dish. I liked it a lot. The desert was a bit of an overkill, but I asked for it and even though it was very heavy, it was still a delight. I am certain that I will return.

First time eating here, food and wine pairing was delicious. Amazing Spaghetti alle vongole. The service was very extremly friendly and helpful.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lausanne and a must visit every time I’m there on business. The staff are very welcoming, the food is always very fresh and cooked to perfection. The wine list is absolutely outstanding and the recommendations from Laurent the owner are always on pint and paired well with the dishes. They also have a lot of craft spirits, gin & tonics, and specialty rum & whiskies. A must for any serious foody who enjoys the finer things in life

Great restaurant in the heart of Lausanne. The food is great, and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is super cozy; it feels like being at home around a table with friends. I highly recommend it for gatherings with friends or family. Also, don't miss out on their great selection of white wine.

Really wonderfully flavors in all the dishes. We loved the food. Desert a bit too pricey so we passed on that. Would be nice if the wine by the glass was a little bit more generous than the 100 ml pour.

We had great experience at Grappe d'Or. Great ambience for apero and a quiet drink on Friday night.
