"This vintage restaurant sports Parisian vibes with the attitude to match. Come for the pasta (including some of the best tagliatelle in ragù in town), gourmet versions of cotoletta (like mortadella in lieu of prosciutto served in a buttery Parmigiano fondue), soup du jour, French cheese plates, fine wine, and a cozy cabin atmosphere spackled in old-timey photos of notable opera icons like Pavarotti." - Coral Sisk

Came here during my visit in Bologna in early Dec 2024. The first day I just passed by and saw good reviews here, so tried my luck but in vain. Then I booked a table for one right away. It doesn’t disappoint. The moment I came back 2 days later, the waiter who took my booking already remembered me and showed me my table! Nice ambience, friendly service, delicious food. Love their tagliatelle al ragù. Another hidden gem in Bologna!

Wonderful little restaurant, we made a reservation ahead of time because they seem to get quite full. Our waiters seemed a little upset with us the whole time because we arrived 10 minutes before the booking. The food was good overall, but the Italian side of the menu is much better than the French. The Tortellini were by far the best option.

AVOID IF YOU SPEAK ENGLISH OR ARE ENGLISH. I'm Polish but don't know Italian so I tried English as it's kind meet in the middle language. Partner is Scottish. The service we got was awful. Italians got a five star service. And we didn't get even asked if we want parmesan. We got treated the whole time like we are carrying some sort of disease 😂😂 it was so bad. Honestly wouldn't come back. I've been to restaurants where people don't speak English and we have felt so welcome. This has been so awful.

Best meal I’ve had in Italy and I’ve vacationed here 3 times. We showed up at 7:20 on a week day and we got the one walk in table. Seems like they only allow 1-2 walk ins per night. The waiter said they focus on quality. They do not care to pack their restaurant. The quality shows! The wine was fantastic. The pasta and dessert were perfect. This is a special place. Make a reservation. You will not regret it.

Food was overall good. The Bolognese pasta (4/5) tasted good, and so did the tortelloni (4/5). The steak was also good but the pate on top was essentially tasteless and the meat tasted okay (3.5/5). Overall decent place to get a bite.

Nice atmosphere for a cosy dinner, good wine list. We tried the Sangiovese red wine and we loved it

Maybe is it that I expected too much from this place after reading really good reviews… food is great, staff is great, place is great but I am afraid I expected too much. Had my first Bolognneae cotoletta there but I am afraid I prefer a high-end Milanese version which makes it possible to know what you are eating. Bolognese cotoletta, with the cheese and the sauce, makes it impossible to know what you are eating … and regarding the antipasti, I am afraid a couple of crescentine would have been better than the tasteless white bread. Pasta al ragù are said to be great here, maybe should have tried them.

A restaurant with traditional Bolognese cuisine. Historic place in Bologna founded by the famous actor Raoul Grassilli a few meters from the Asinelli Tower, a welcoming and refined place with a few tables, very intimate. Dishes are made with lots of love and super tasty, high quality producers. Tortellini in Brodo are fantastic, you don't want your dishes to finish it is like being in paradise. La Cotoletta alla Bolognese is delicious and a must to try. Wine list is an homage to the terroir of the area, with other regions of Italy as well, very clever. Another outstanding experience.
