Google
Twice now ordered salad to be delivered , items were not put in it that were ordered. This time not only were the sweet potatoes forgotten there were 5 garbanzo beans and wilted lettuce. I am not sure what is going on here. Might not be returning , quality of food has gone down . Well, I thought I would give them another chance today I ordered another salad to be delivered right on my ticket. It says yes pita no pita says shaped Parm I receive feta cheese and I hope they’re sweet potatoes in there cause it’s for my lunch tomorrow so my review does not change.

Google
Absolutely delicious salad and grain bowls. Fresh ingredients and wonderful dressings. You can add steak, tofu, salmon or chicken. Very creative seasonal bowls as well. The portions are generous. Very friendly. Open kitchen which is super clean. They wear gloves and masks. Beautiful decoration and a plant wall. I keep coming back here. Strongly recommend.

Google
Awesome tasty healthy bowls. You can pick one off the menu or build your own. Avocado cilantro dressing is the best. You can build salad, grain, or mixed bowls. Some of the veggies are very well seasoned. Try spicy pumpkin seeds, they are smokey. You can add cheese or protein like tofu for extra. Healthy, tasty, and filling.

Google
The dressings are. delicious here! Clean restaurant that is decorated really welcoming and modern. The salads were full and tasty and full of flavor. Te meat was light and could taste a little fresher but overall was yummy and a good healthy option that tastes great!

Google
I am picky about healthy food places. This place rocks. They have tons of superfoods and flavors. I love their patio setup with the plants on the tables. The staff is friendly but sometimes it feels like it takes a while. The taste is pretty good. It’s a little pricy but the portion size is huge. Earth friendly too!

Google
Excellent service and super delicious and healthy food. Thanks to wendy and daniela!

Google
I love this place unfortunately the last few times I have ordered through delivery services they have forgot my protein and they never answer the phone. Expensive salads with no way to connect with someone about a mistake in service

Yelp
This place is a GEM in the 'truly healthy eats' game. No junk food disguised as 'health food'; truly high quality FRESH ingredients. I personally love the kale and couscous bowl + skirt steak. I'm a repeat customer for this baby. I think about it constantly HAHA! I sub garbanzo beans for sweet potatoes. Otherwise it's PERFECT as designed. Tons of fresh & clean Kale, black beans, marinated mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, pearl couscous, avocado. The dressing is light and delicious. Pita is warm and fresh. Amaaazzzzing. My best friend ordered the Mediterranean bowl + chicken last week and LOVED it. It's very reasonably priced for the high quality of food you get and the insanely huge portions. Each time, 1 bowl has provided 2-3 meals for me. Huge fan. Will return again and again.

Yelp
I have to say, the customer service at Grater Greens is above and beyond. I had an issue with a previous order & left a 1 star review on here. The next day I received a call from the district manager Manuel, he was very apologetic and insisted that I return to the store to give it another try. I did return. And the food was delicious, fresh, and absolutely what I was hoping for. 5 stars, Will be back for sure.

Yelp
What an amazing find! A good break away from fast food. Service was excellent and quick! I chose to build my own salad. Had spinach and arugula with black beans quinoa scallions, tomatoes, feta cheese, beets, watermelon radishes. The list goes on. An amazing deal for just $11.50. I also had a pineapple mint drink, which I highly recommend trying that! Overall an excellent quick place to eat with indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Showed up on Sunday at 12:35pm for lunch. It showed online to be open but it was closed. No hours posted at the door. Well - will never drive out of my way for this place

Yelp
I work nearby and come in once a week for lunch. The salads are great, the restaurant is clean, ans the service is always impeccable. Couldn't recommend this place any more highly.

Yelp
My coworker and I ordered delicious salads from here, so glad we did! The Asian salad was absolutely delicious! The salads were so fresh & crisp! We will definitely be ordering from here again soon! Bonus, they deliver with Door Dash!

Yelp
Grater Greens for the win for all my salad needs! I love coming here when I'm craving for a good salad. There are tons of menu items but you can also build your own bowl. Everything is fresh and healthy. Service is good and the wait is never long.

Yelp
To celebrate Social Worker's Day, the social worker on our team chose this place to celebrate. Since this was a to-go order, I can only comment on the food and the website. I must say I was pleasantly surprised that Graters had a salad branch as I was accustomed to the Graters grilled cheese sandwiches. The website was easy to navigate and allows you to choose from a variety of salads, including a build your own. I opted for the Kale Caesar with Salmon. The salad is quite a huge portion and I was stuffed! The only issue I have is that the Kale wasn't softened, it was quite tough. Typically, Kale is prepared softened to allow for easier digestion since kale is such a rigid green. Salmon was okay, a little bland for me. I may try another salad instead of this one next time.

Yelp
I'm not a salad person, but the ones from here are great! I built my own and added my favorite toppings. I got the chicken as my protein and added mandarin oranges, edamame, cranberries, pepperoncini, brussels sprouts, slices of carrot and pita bread! It was light, refreshing, and full of flavor. My friend chose the salmon salad and we both got some kind of lemonade agua fresca. It was a bit too tart for me. I would love to come back and try a different salad or even get the same one again!

Yelp
Love the little salad place! Healthy option and great for vegan and vegetarian. Staff is friendly and introduced what's popular. Service is pretty quick when I was there. No long line. Place is small but near and clean to dine in. The only thing I didn't anticipate is that they close so early Friday 7pm.. but overall I like the food there.

Yelp
This place rocks. It was so good, my wife and I ordered from them again two days later. Sophia is terrific making the salads. My favorite addition is the grilled zucchini and brussel sprouts. I may go back again tomorrow!!!

Yelp
I stopped by here for a healthy option as I was running errands in Mission Valley. I was happy to see they had several salads that could also be enjoyed as a wrap. I got a seasonal bowl of some sort and it was just okay. The flavors didn't blow me away, definitely just tasted like something I could throw together at home and the dressing tasted the same as my grocery store dressing. The kale was added in massive pieces making it kind of difficult to enjoy as a salad so definitely had to spend lots of time just breaking that down. It was fresh, reliable, and had tons of seating available but for the price I would definitely go to Cava grill for a salad instead.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, and though the food was decent, i don't think I'll be back. I ordered a salad over grubhub for delivery, and they left off half (or more) of the ingredients!! I ordered a southwestern salad, which is supposed to include black beans, corn, tortilla chips and cheese-- all were missing! I also asked for pita, and that was missing as well. If I hadn't added on brussel sprouts and chicken, it literally was just a bed of lettuce with tomatoes and a few red onions...and for $24! As a paying customer, its absolutely unacceptable to deliver an order this wrong, especially for the steep price tag. It was not at all what wanted/ordered/paid for. Do better Grater Greens.

Yelp
Listen... I, too, kind of huffed when I saw the build-your-own was much more than the salads they offer. I was looking for a ceasar salad with some oomph... but not like Kale and whatever it was kinda oomph. So here's how I back doored the system and built-my-own for the same price as a regular salad. I ordered the Kale Ceasar but asked for all romaine lettuce. Then I asked for black beans, don't come for me.. there's a method to my madness. I deleted the tomato because I'm picky... and opt'd against the $4 cubed chicken add on. Then asked for their awesome as heck balsamic dressing and a piece of pita. I got everything I wanted just by customizing a current bowl they had and not going through the build-your-own. It came out exactly as I wanted it... a twisted ceasar on balsamic steroids (they give you two dressing cups). And I was so about it. My only chuff is their prices. I get it, it's Mission Valley.. everything is expensive. But the salad was good nonetheless. I realized at the very end that they were making wraps now and was a little bummed I didn't see that before or wasn't told about it before. But whatever, my fault. I'll pay attention better next time cause the customer who got theirs wrapped before me.... I was intensely jealous. That thing looked like a healthy burrito and I was all about it. Grater Greens is a great lunch spot if you're looking for some semi-healthy or healthy-feeling foods. Especially if you're trying to keep your tummy space open for a bomb dinner.

Yelp
Guillermo is amazing, great service!! I'll be back, for sure!! I'd recommend this place!!

Yelp
I did a build your own bowl with chicken and it ended up being over $18 with tax! Overall there's tons of selection to save time and build a giant salad but I feel swindled because it's so confusing with the up charges and options. Service wasn't great and looking closer she charged me for an extra base when I only got two. The menu clearly says "2 base (additional grain extra)". I really want to like it for the sake of being a healthy option but I will prob only go back to order on the menu and carefully check every detail before paying.

Yelp
Went to meet my friend for lunch and she suggested Grater Greens in the Ralph's shopping center. I had never heard of it. Orange Theory had a booth set up in front but they didn't solicit me or my friend. They weren't too busy but it looked as if they had a lot of to go orders. The customer service is lacking for sure. They helped my friend pretty quickly and I just stood there waiting to be addressed. When she did address me it wasn't friendly.... It was more like... "are you ready"? Weird vibe for sure. I ordered the Asian Salad an added chicken. My friend ordered the Southwestern and made it a wrap. The total was $32. My salad was good but for $18 for a salad is a hefty price to pay and they weigh everything including the lettuce. The staff could smile more, pretend to be happy for your business and at least tie your hair back. Gross

Yelp
The parking at this location is pretty good, there is a big lot with lots of options. I love coming here for the build your own salad option, I always get kale and tofu and lots of other ingredients. I love that they have so many fresh healthy options to add onto your salad. The few times I've come to this location the staff were very nice and friendly. The prices also aren't that bad for a hearty salad. I think they recently changed their bowl sizes from the last time I was here, the bowl is way bigger now, which is great because I always save some for lunch the next day. Definitely a great deal for your money. The restaurant is also very clean. And I have always been impressed by their service.

Yelp
Love this place. If you want a fresh salad for lunch, this is a great spot. You can order premade salads or you can build your own. All the ingredients are fresh and they build and mix for your. My favorite dressing is the champagne vinaigrette! One word of caution: don't just pick what you like! You are limited or you can easily build a $20 salad! Otherwise the price is around 13 bucks for a healthy, good size salad. Drinks are limited but their hibiscus iced tea is great! Parking is plenty as it's a shopping center. Plenty of tables to sit outside.

Yelp
My first thought when entering was where are all the customers? I've been looking for a restaurant like this. I love Mediterranean food and they did not disappoint. A wide range of fresh choices, clean nice decor, bright, authentic, great prices and nice staff. I only had basic lentil soup and delicious hummus but I can see the veggies and salad selections behind the counter and they all look super fresh and abundant. I'll be back to try the grain bowls, a wrap or create my own amazing Mediterranean salad. So happy I found this place! Oh and I also loved their biodegradable plates and bowls.

Yelp
We were looking to grab something quick and found this place. We came on Sunday afternoon around 4 pm, and the place was empty. Two girls were working, but neither of them greeted us. We were looking at the menu, but no one spoke to us. one of the girls was doing something in the kitchen, and the other was putting the bowl together for online order. As we were all standing there (3 of us) talking to each other, it was clear that was our first time being there; the girl continued to say night in front of us as she was supposed to "I will be right with you, or let me know if you have any questions." On to the food: It's basically like a salad version of CAVA or chipotle. They had wild rice on the menu, which is what I was going o get, but then they told me they had recently swapped to brown rice. Probably due to cost since wild rice is more pricy. I got a Mediterranean salad bowl and added artichoke, which was an extra (it would be nice if she had mentioned it was an extra). The artichoke was very hard, so I ended up not being able to eat half of them. The dressing wasn't good either; it didn't have flavor other than just too vinegary. There was barely any feta cheese. At least the green was fresh. My mom did build her bowl, and my husband had a chicken rice bowl. Overall, everything tasted bland and was not worth $14. I appreciate this healthier option, and I love the idea, but it could have been much better.

Yelp
These salads are ridiculously expensive, the proteins are pre cooked, the place looks nice, modern from the outside but the salad bar is unkept and I got sick shortly after eating here and still reeling two days later. You couldn't pay me to eat here again, beware of salad places that don't properly wash their produce. The cooked vegetables appear taste as if they were recently defrosted after sitting in a freezer for months. I've seen warnings about buying packaged precut fruit and after this experience will steer clear of salad places like this. Though I've never had issues with Tender Greens, Urban Plates - established chains with higher standards. The staff were like zombies and barely look up at you, there's just something off about this place?? So many regrets eating here.

Yelp
We love coming here to get something a little more healthy with great salad options. I love building my own or grabbing the monthly special. We definitely recommend Grater Greens!
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
I eat a lot of salad and have had many salad bars all throughout San Diego. This is by far the best custom salad you can get. I love this place. Way better than green spot salad company located down the road!
google avatar

Haley C.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a good salad so I ordered from here on my lunch. Created my own salad and grabbed a side of hummus and pita as well. The salad portion was incredible! All the ingredients were very flavorful and left my hunger satisfied. Great options for toppings and the hummus was delicious as well. Didn't have a chance to snap a photo before I devoured it but definitely recommend.

Yelp
If you're looking for a fresh, big, hearty salad, then look no further. Though be warned about their prices. Grater Greens is the sister company of Grater Cheese, which is a few doors down serving cheesy sandwiches. Best thing to do is split a sando from Grater Cheese and salad from Grater Greens. Though pricey for a salad, I really enjoyed my Asian Salad which had greens, edamame, carrots, peanuts, fried wonton strips, mandarin segments and a sweet dressing. I added a piece of salmon that was cooked with a few crisp edges. Overall, my salad was $16, which is very steep. However, it was delicious and I have no real complaints. My husband ordered the apple cranberry salad and added chicken. His was $13 and had spinach, apples, cranberries, pecans, onions and an apple cider vinaigrette. It was all one note and was missing a sweet element to offset all the sour and acidic tones. I'd recommend adding goat cheese for creaminess and sweetening up the vinaigrette just a tad.
google avatar

Gabby A.

Yelp
My new favorite salad spot. I like coming here because it's quiet and not too many people around. Service is fast and the staff are friendly.
google avatar

Madeline M.

Yelp
I was looking for a salad place in Mission Valley and am so happy I found this place! They have plenty of options to go in your salad and the portions are great. This will be one of my new go to places for a healthy meal.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
I love this place. It's my go-to place for a vegan lunch. They offer animal proteins as well. The business is clean and inviting with comfortable and pleasant outdoor seating. The staff are really friendly and generous with portions. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Grater Greens is where it's at for salads. The ingredients are always fresh, salads are packed with flavor. The atmosphere is friendly, and I love the variety on the menu. They've earned every bit of my 5-star rating!

Alfonso L.

Yelp
Guillermo provided excellent customer service and did a magnificent job handling my order with care. The food here is always immaculate

Jackie L.

Yelp
Guillermo was very kind and attentive to making sure my order was perfect. Great quality of food, great portions, and great service. I will definitely be back soon. 10/10 recommend! :)

Melissa C.

Yelp
The young gal that attended to me was sweet and clarified the order. They had great veggie signature options for me. Salads and wraps . Im on a no meat diet and this was a great lunch option for me. The food was tasty and fresh
google avatar

Monique C.

Yelp
I can build my dream salad with all the goodies they have. The staff's cool, and the salads are massive. I don't know what else to say, but it's a solid 5 stars for sure
google avatar

Anne F.

Yelp
I found myself absolutely craving a salad on a Friday afternoon and Greater Greens popped up in my delivery app- it was a no-brainer. They have an insane amount of salad options and toppings. Definitely be careful when you're ordering extra toppings for your salad though- at one point I was fully excited about a $25 salad. It was hard to save some of those toppings for the next salad. If you're likely to get out of control like I did- I suggest going with one of their menu options. They have a variety of great ones. I'll definitely be back next time I have a salad craving!
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
We have gone here a couple times and will only come when Wendy works!! She is so nice and personable - we have had other employees make the experience less pleasurable and end up going to subway. She really is what the food Industry is all about!
google avatar

Oren P.

Yelp
It took me longer than I expected to choose what to try - from among the different salad and add-on options on the menu. The people working here are friendly and patient and not in a rush for someone new to make a choice. Salads aren't always appealing or tasty but the ones here are - or at least the one I had was. If prices were lower this place would probably be much more popular - and higher rated. The restroom has a code to get in. They must not use it or check it often - because it was out of toilet paper and towels when I went in. :-(
google avatar

Rachna P.

Yelp
Great salad options I just wish that they had a chopped option. The falafel's are not made fresh and are quite cold so I would avoid the vegetarian protein options. However they do have a good variety of salads and I will likely return for a light lunch. Pro: reasonable prices, vegetarian options, outdoor seating. Cons: cold falafel

Shanadi E.

Yelp
Great service, Guillermo! He was attentive and patient, the meal is delicious. Thank you!

Amy P.

Yelp
Guillermo gave us fantastic service! He recommended an amazing make your own salad creation.
google avatar

Valerie T.

Yelp
After coming to a Yelp event I remembered how lovely the salads were. Craving greens I settled on a Mediterranean salad with lightly seared salmon rare in the middle. The salad was absolutely delicious although the pictures does it no justice since it was pre tossed you can't see the abundance of olives, feta cheese, marinated artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, shaved red onions, Romain lettuce and spinach. The only thing I would suggest is to get the dressing in the side as I found my salad slightly over dressed. The salad was large and completely filling. I love that you can also build your own salad so no matter what rabbit food your green heart is craving they have a multitude of options.

Mo C.

Yelp
I gotta say, this salad was off the charts! It's an easy five-star review for me. Super fresh greens, a rainbow of veggies, and a dressing that just nailed it - I mean, it's the kind of salad you daydream about. If you're into salads, you've gotta give this one a shot. I'm definitely coming back for round two - it's that good! The music inside the store is an absolute vibe as well. The employees are friendly and the energy is pure

Adrian G.

Yelp
Really good food , healthy and very nice staff, I've been there couple times and every time I go get something different and it's always good

Summer W.

Yelp
Food quality is amazing! I got the Caesar salad with tofu. Lots of vegetarian options. Store is super clean and Noel was super helpful!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
the food is prepared fresh and is amazing every time my wife and I come in. It is her go-to at this point when we are in the Mission Valley area. I particularly enjoy the salmon toppings. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Daisy L.

Yelp
I think her name was Wendy! Perfect customer service. This is my third time coming here and I always get her to serve my salads! I have an accent and she was patient with me, she was pretty fast and honestly with her customer service she makes me want to come back. Will be telling all of my friends about this place. I love it 100% loveee this place. Super good vibes !! Thank you
google avatar

Liz R.

Yelp
This salad joint would definitely get bumped up to 3 stars if they had better prices and more options, but I paid $14 for a wedge salad which just seems way too much for lunch. I also believe that if you're going to offer a wedge salad (or a cobb salad) on your menu, you should offer bacon, but they don't have bacon on their menu. I don't think they have hard boiled egg either which I consider another salad staple. Where they really get you is when you want to add protein. They charge $5 for what's MAYBE 3 ounces of dry, burnt, diced up chicken. I honestly only come here when I don't have time to make my own salad at home and I always leave feeling disappointed.
google avatar

Shastty M.

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS delicious, fresh and great portions! Wendy and Guillermo are the very best and most welcoming with their friendly greetings and conversation. Can't recommend this place enough!
