We had the pleasure of taking an unforgettable hop-on hop-off tour in Montreal. The city is truly stunning—whether you're admiring its architecture, beautifully maintained gardens, or vast green spaces. What made the experience even more special was our guide (I don’t know his name, but I’ll attach a photo). He shared a wealth of fascinating information and historical insights, all delivered with a remarkable sense of humor. At times, his voice even reminded me of a very important man from the U.S.—but always in the most courteous and entertaining way. A heartfelt thank you for such a memorable experience!

Really enjoyed the city bus tour of Montreal. It was a private group booking so you may have a different experience. Ricardo was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable and funny! Kept the 3 hour tour interesting. We basically saw most of the key sightseeing spots and got off a few times for photos as well .. namely the Notre Dame, Olympic Stadium, and even a washroom stop at the Museum of Archaeology. The open top is great to ride on, but make sure to put on plenty of sunscreen if it's a nice and sunny summer day. And watch for branches every now and then as some trees aren't trimmed. Overall a very good experience!

The experience will mostly depend on the tour guide you get. There are some pretty knowledgeable and entertaining ones but some not so much. There were 2 women tour guides that were below standards in terms of the information and details provided. If this happens I suggest hopping off and waiting for the next bus. Buses were comfortable and smooth. However, the staff at the main office was somewhat rude; we bought a 2 day pass and nobody explained that we needed to keep the bracelet given that first day. The lady at the office today was argumentative and said that is impossible that nobody explained it and had us fill out a form to show the tour guide that we had paid. We also called the office today to ask where exactly to wait for the bus and they did not talk in English and proceeded to start laughing at us. They had a few young girls at the office but they should teach them to be more professional and give them English lessons. In any case the highlight of the tour was this tour guide that shared so much information and made the experience somewhat positive.

Heart of Montreal was an excellent tour, comfortable a/c bus, 3 1/2 hours with several stops with restrooms, Dominque is an excellent guide and bus driver, he gave descriptions of sites in English then same in French, he had many funny comments,

The first bus we got on seemed very old and shook at every stop. The PA system wasn't very good which made it hard to hear the tour guide. The second bus we got on was much better. I didn't catch his name but our guide was very informative and even cracked jokes. Learned a lot about Montreal as a first time visitor. Would gladly recommend him and Gray Line!!

Had a pleasant experience myself! Some of the previous reviews were scaring me but I thought I’d still give them a chance and I enjoyed it! Norman the driver/tour guide was very informative and knew so much history about Montreal! He took us everywhere in the bus, took short cuts when he saw traffic building up and was just such a delight! Would definitely recommend!

The tour guide was great, driver was fantastic. BUT organization skills and problem solving process' below average. Our bus broke down, we were stranded in the initial place for over 2 hours then finally we went to Quebec with another tour bus who dropped us off in the city with instructions to meet up at 6pm. We were there for a while and just happened to see the tour guide with another group. She saw all of us in the rain soaked as the bus wasn't there 40 people waiting in the rain with no information. The tour guide contacted her employer who contacted Grayline Coaches to find out what was happening. After waiting an hour in the rain the bus showed up. We were delayed by approx 2-3 hours all wet and annoyed. Will think long and hard before using this sightseeing coach again.

It was a great tour, Julian was an amazing and very informative guide. The second bus we hopped on just to go back to the port was luckily only a short ride (few stops) but it was only narrated by the driver and because the sound was not the best it was hard to hear. Not a problem for us because we did the whole loop with Julian first but it might be a problem if your whole tour goes like this. I’d love if the last bus was not that early during the day, makes no sense in summertime.
