Yelp
A first time visit to GRAZE, and it did not disappoint, overall.
We felt that the Sunday brunch would be a good time to explore, and maybe we missed the mark as the decor is fresh and homey (it is a converted quaint, old house) but the interior noise was a real buzz kill and kept the 5th star from appearing, here.
The high notes were the service, food presentation and flavor.
Our waiter, Landon, was personable, professional and a bit of a charmer with interesting stories to tell. Likewise, he was helpful in reviewing the menu as it was his recommendation for me to try the special, and I am thankful for being pointed in that direction.
As the pictures depict, the presentation of the food was above average and my selection was stupendous. What is listed on the menu as "Jim's Fat Bastard Biscuits & Gravy" was supercharged with the addition of fried chicken atop the biscuits, with poached eggs adding the crowning glory. Hence, I ended up with a fried chicken Eggs Benedict with spicy gravy sauce. Wow, I was one happy camper.
My mother-in-law ordered the Blackened Shrimp grits while my wife dined on the Monte Cristo as you just don't see that particular sandwich on menus these days.
Thumbs up on flavor, but the Blackened Shrimp grits was a surprisingly small portion and if you have a Texas sized appetite you might consider ordering a side or pick another item. (The Corned Beef Hash swallowed the plate on a neighboring diner's plate.)
Again, we were glad for our selection of Graze but should we return, we will definitely take a table outside, on the porch, as the interior noise made it almost impossible to converse across a very small table.
Bon appétit!
