Taylor Gourmet Founder Set to Open a Downtown Restaurant Selling Subs, Fried Chicken, and Ice Cream - Eater DC

"Former owner of the Taylor Gourmet hoagie chain Casey Patten is adding another location for his new sub shop Grazie Grazie, reports the Washington Business Journal. The outpost is headed to downtown D.C. at 1100 15th Street NW (the same Midtown Center development as Dauphine’s), and Patten will sell more than Philly cheesesteaks." - Adele Chapin

We tried to be open minded after hearing mixed reviews. We should have listened… we both got the Philly special it was very dry filled with lettuce onions and tomatoes were on top of the sandwich we asked for grilled and got extra red onion. Asked for extra mayo and I think they forgot. We were also missing the bacon. Sloppy presentation taste and way too many missing ingredients…. Also is was very hot inside

There are times when you walk past some place and after a while you take a chance and go inside. Today I went to “Grazie Grazie” located at 1875 K Street, WDC. The store layout is incredible because you know from the start that you’re eating either inside or taking it to go. I placed my order via a very large screen with visual pictures and descriptions of the items. The menu is very vast from pizza to sandwiches. Today I got a “Marathon and Waffle Fries.” This was hands down the BEST sandwich that I’ve had in a very long time. The ingredients were fresh, and amazing cuts of meats and the freshest bread. My Waffle Fries were great, and the entire meal was delicious. This was definitely the first time I’ve been to this restaurant, but it won’t be my last. Enjoy!

Amazing food ! Sandwiches are great. Great taste for a great price. Potato salad doesn’t disappoint at all. The chocolate cookies are soft. I made a last minute catering order and Leo the manager from Grazie made it possible! Thank you so much to her and her incredible team! The picture doesn’t do the food justice but everything was incredible.

The nyc bodega sandwich is top notch actually so dang tasty. The inside of the place is nothing special, but that’s the nature of its location. Perfect spot to stop in during a lunch break & grab a tasty sammie!

When only my bag was stapled I should’ve known they were trying to get away with something. I ordered the NYC bodega with breaded chicken. Little did i know my chicken would be burnt!! It also tasted like old grease so I’m sure they just refried the cutlet and hoped i wouldn’t open until i got home. My mistake. I’m sad because this was the one spot I knew i need to hit while visiting the city.

As someone from the philly area, it's the only philly cheesesteak appropriation I'll accept. Staff was incredibly accommodating with my special request of mushrooms and sauce. Ricotta balls were also crazy good!!

Sandwiches worth every bite! Amazing! I just had one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever had in DC. The quality of the meat and bread was next level—words honestly don’t do it justice. It’s absolutely worth the money, and let me tell you, it’s very filling. Highly recommend! Note: The restaurant seems ideal for takeout, as the interior design is quite ordinary.

Wish I could rate this higher bc I heard good things. I ordered the vodka sauce chicken sandwich which was fine, but the bread was incredibly hard (and not in a good way that added value to the sandwich). Every table was dirty and it wasn’t even busy when I went. I also can’t believe they are charging $3.50 for an off brand bottled water. Can’t really rate the service since you order it at a kiosk and pick it up. Overpriced for what I experienced.
