"Some may question the wisdom of using the word “grease” in the name of a restaurant, but the rest of the name isn’t so misleading. Grease Burger Bar is all about the burger. More past the basic burgers and order the Ron Burgundy, made with mushroom Burgundy reduction, or the This Pretzel Bun is Making Me Thirsty with a pretzel bun, jalapenos, mustard, and beer cheese sauce. The restaurant, located in the heart of the Clematis dining district, is easy to drop in for a burger and watch a college ball game." - J. Miller

Yelp
Conveniently located in West Palm on a very walkable strip. I was craving a burger and fries and this was a great place to stop. Food came out pretty quickly, and the server was friendly and made sure to check in on us. I didn't love the hard milkshake flavor- it was a cinnamon base with some whiskey. It wasn't for me, but it was refreshing on a hot day. Don't make my mistake if you're planning on going to the restrooms. They do have several more if you keep walking all the way in the back. The first one was definitely not as clean as I would've preferred. They had a ton of beers available and it was nice to see that they indicated which ones were Florida local beers.

Yelp
Great spot! We worked with Nathaniel at Grease to book a post-soccer tournament dinner and he was excellent to work with and accommodated our 35 person party seamlessly. The waitstaff was helpful and attentive and maneuvered working with a larger group with precision and ease. The group all raved about the food options and many different options ranging from sandwiches to burgers to wings to salads were selected and every single person enjoyed their meal. I opted for the Sweet Caroline burger which was a juicy burger with bacon, cheddar and Carolina barbecue sauce. Ordered a side of tater tots which supported the burger perfectly and the food was fresh and downright delicious. ' Really cool vibe at Grease with a myriad of TVs along the long bar allowing for sports fans of any type to find something to watch while hanging at the bar. Highly recommend this spot and if ever aback in West Palm Beach for a soccer tournament or for any other reason would definitely check out this place again!

Yelp
We heard about this FSU bar called Grease and had to try it on our pub crawl. The long long liquor bar was amazing. The beer menu took up the entire back wall. We met with the bartender Rachel who was fabulous. We ordered a Grease Bacon Jam Burger with a cold Cigar City Jai Alai beer. Everything tasted amazing and will be back.

Yelp
Friendly bar tenders, good menu and fun sports bar vibe. The serve civil society "fresh" ipa on tap, my fav FL beer by far. Just a fun place with good food, good drinks and fun vibe. Need better tequila selection though

Carolina F.

Yelp
We loved the food at Grease! It was a little hidden gem for us! The burger was delicious and so were the cookies and milk! Service was also great!

Vikki B.

Yelp
Avocado Candied Bacon Deviled Eggs. Just do it. Fun atmosphere with great service! More of a dive bar feel and not overly crowded for a Saturday.

Sean K.

Yelp
Server was nice, onion rings were good.. Burger was terrible.. Practically burnt beyond recognition.. Hard, tasteless, sad. Do better.

Kesha H.

Yelp
My burger was absolutely delicious!!! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The atmosphere is a vibe too.

Yelp
I really wanted to fall in love with this place, but that's not what happened. Note: this review is about the food and service, not the ambiance. Let's start with the service. That gets 5 stars. Our waiter was great in every way. The food -- it was a 3.5 out of 5. The burger was huge, fresh and just lacked much flavor that other burgers in the area offer. It was better than average, but not great. The toppings of bacon and grilled onions were also lacking a burst of flavor. In the 5 star side of things were the skinny fries. Perfect! I rounded up to a 4, because of the service and couldn't give the place a 3.5 on Yelps scale. I'll give this place another shot, but won't be running back. Sorry, Grease!

Yelp
Great burger joint in West Palm Beach! Me and the men all came together over the holidays. We had a great experience! Staff was nice, it was busier than we'd have liked.... But it was also the FSU vs Georgia bowl game so, makes sense. Between all of us we practically tried the whole menu! Tater tots, fries, onion rings, patty melts, Southwest style, and one brave soul got the burger with the bacon grilled cheese for the buns! Great burgers, cooked to order, lots of options! It was a bit on the pricier side. Burgers do not come with sides, and their sides aren't cheap either. So as long as you're willing do dish out a little extra, grease is the place to be!

Yelp
Everything was good, just pretty average. The mango jalapeño margarita was my favorite thing. Tart with a little kick. I like their ranch dressing. The tomatoes on the side salad are cut way too big, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine in restaurants. The pretzel burger was huge and messy...we could have split it. I think pickled jalapeños would taste better than the fresh ones they serve on the burger. Those were also sliced way too thick. The Hebrew dog was good and also plenty. The fries were meh. Definitely not living up to the name OMG. Service was quick and friendly despite them being pretty busy during football season. The TVs are super loud...but I am guessing that's a Sunday thing. If you are looking for a place to watch sports and grab a bite, this is a good option.

Yelp
Grease is always a solid experience. We got the honey mustard chicken sandwich and the Ron Burgundy burger. The chicken sandwich was definitely better than the burger. And while the burger wasn't bad, I probably wouldn't get it again. Our server was attentive. And it's a beautiful day so it was nice to sit outside. Also, I sipped on an old fashioned which was strong (enough) and added to the enjoyment.

Trina S.

Yelp
Though always busy the food is always good as is the drinks. My husband always has the opportunity to catch sports. One of the things I like about this place is that they have a variety of mixed drinks and they're always yummy.

Stacy B.

Yelp
OMG! Best service! Great vibe! Tuanna made the best chocolate martini!!! I've had good BUT this is great!!!

Bob J.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and ordered a medium rare cheeseburger, fries ,and a beer. Pretty standard order for a burger establishment I'd say. Burger was cooked to a hockey puck and the flavor was non existent. I never return food but if it wasn't for the fact that I had other places to be I would have returned it. Fries were an additional 5 bucks to add to the meal so at the end of the day spent about 30 bucks to eat a terrible burger and some basic french fries. The worst part is, this was my second time here thinking maybe the first was a fluke incident but sure enough still bad.

Yelp
Place has been around for quite a while so decided to stop in with my son after years of wondering about the place. Cool little venue, friendly staff but food was pretty bland. Maybe just an off night, would imagine that it would have had to have been because of its staying power in a high turnover area of west palm but I was pretty disappointed. My son had a grilled cheese that looked worse than the ones I make and some pretty average fries. I had a burger and despite it coming with a lot of different toppings and sauces was rather pedestrian. Ordered the fried pickles to go with my burger and they were lightly breaded to the point where in most instances the breading would just slide off the pickle right after picking it up. The one thing that made it a little more manageable was that our check was under $40 (we both just had waters) and that they had a lot of interesting sounding options for food and drinks on the menu. Don't think I'll go back but if I did there were definitely a wide variety of things I would've liked to try.

Yelp
My husband found Grease Burger when he googled restaurants in West Palm. We made reservations for our party of 7. We got there in time for half price drinks during happy hour. Katie was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Many options on the menu. There were tables outside but it seemed like people went out there to smoke. The only negative was that it was very loud in the restaurant bar area. Lots of TVs showing sports. We'd definitely go back.

Dominique M.

Yelp
Really good quality and flavorful burgers. The double cheeseburger being my favorite. Great portion size. Love that they serve root beer which always perfectly compliments my burgers. Fries are also yummy.

Dennis B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Great food and the staff is awesome. Special thanks to Taylor, Courtney and Rachel for always providing great service with a smile. Highly recommend you give this place a try.

Duy N.

Yelp
This place is located in downtown West Palm and the atmosphere and the choices in music is amazing! I came here with a bunch of friends and the burger here is so good. I got Smashburger which was served on a english muffin that had a hot pepper bacon jam and caramelized onions which complimented the burger nicely. To drink O had an angry orchard in a chill tall glass. I would definitely recommend to this and only reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the service. Our waiter kept disappearing for long extended periods at a time. Another waiter we flagged down tried to look for our waiter and couldn't find the person so that waiter helped us out. Other than that the food and atmosphere still is amazing.

Samantha Q.

Yelp
This was my second time here, great spot for football games. Showing every game and they do play the volume for whichever game, luckily for me they had the volume on for the NY Giants game. Food is delicious! I started with half a dozen spicy hot wings with bleu cheese all flats, then got the slider's sub bleu cheese as the cheese with a side of French fries. The iced tea is great and they'll add flavors like peach or passion fruit if you're not a drinker. The parking garage behind charge's $5 for the day on Sundays which is convenient if the garage isn't full.

Yelp
This restaurant was a nice, vintage looking place. The food and the service was good. We had this new server I couldn't recall his name but he was very nice. The ambiance was good which created a nice atmosphere with the group of friends I was with. For my order, I got a "Pb illustrated A-list" it was a good burger but I have to admit that eating it was a little messy Ahah. It was a fun experience though. I definitely would recommend going there!

Keren A.

Yelp
This place is a solid 5 on food/flavor. The service was okay. Not overly friendly or eager, but also not snobbish or uptight. It was just okay. So let me give you an example. There was a sandwich board type of thing on the outside of the building saying Philly steak burger. So we ask our waiter, is it a patty or strips of steak. Does it have mushrooms, onions, peppers! And he's like yah all those things, and more. Ok?? Regardless , the burger (patty) was amazing. I had a Gorgonzola and chicken salad, which was really good. So another example, I asked if I could do just olive oil and vinegar dressing, he was like lemme check if we have that. He comes back wit a new olive oil bottle and was like, sorry this is all I have. So I said, that's fine do you think I could get some lemon wedges, and he was like ok. He comes back with a glass full of them, which was nice, he Didn't skimp on the lemon. My husband asked for extra pickles, they were these thick cut slices of pickles and he brought him a little plate filled with them. So it's not that he wasn't nice, just a man of few words. Towards the end of the meal, he seemed to warm up more or come out of his shell and interacted with our son. So, I guess he just needs to warm up to you?? Anyway, the food was really good. The inside of the place seemed like a bar, more so then a restaurant. It kind of reminded me of an old show called cheers. It had the bar smell and high top tables, but the decor was very warm and cozy. Overall, I think if we had tried all of the other restaurants in the area, we would go back.

Yelp
If you like to wait a super long time for your food to come out, dine here. If you want your side of French fries to come 15 minutes before your burger, you should dine here. The restaurant/bar was not that busy, most patrons were drinking, not eating, and there were empty tables. Our waitress was polite when we asked her about our food, but the constant excuse was "sorry, we're so busy." The service was just really unacceptable. They were very inattentive, didn't come check to see if we needed more drinks, and we were spending money on cocktails, appetizers, everything. It was very strange. Perhaps they don't like to serve families and we were a larger party of 7, but there were other larger parties here as well. Aside from the heinous service, I suppose I shouldn't complain about this bar being too loud, after all, it's a bar. The food, when it finally arrived, was good, but one member of our party almost finished their burger when their sweet potato fries finally arrived. Our waitress was nice and apologetic, but she could have been a little more attentive. We shouldn't have had to ask for her to remove plates and glasses. The long wait times seem to be attributable to the kitchen, but it's an overall failure for the restaurant, despite the food tasting good. Probably won't dine here again.

Yelp
Music: on point Food: A1 Service: vibes Thank you Shanea! Rainy day didn't ruin our stay in Florida.

Gisselle F.

Yelp
Their food is really good. Went late at night and they were very kind and attentive. Good food for post clubbing lol.

Brian R.

Yelp
Myself and my friends popped into Grease Burger Bar most recently on St Patrick's Day. The food, drink and overall atmosphere was excellent but I must say what made our experience exceptional was our waitress Tuanna. She had a great attitude, was very friendly and also helped us make several solid food and drink recommendations off the menu. Additionally she was also very attentive to whenever we needed more drinks or whatever really all while she was also dealing with other customer tables too during a very busy St Patrick's Day to which I really appreciate and will certainly be back again as a result of the overall positive experience we had there.

Allen T.

Yelp
Great vibe and good food for a Tuesday night. Sat at the bar watching Carolina take the L, but the food and Corona made me feel better. I was lucky because it was happy hour and the beer was discounted. Usually I'm picky when I order my burgers but decided to try their smash burger and it didn't disappoint. It was well seasoned, the English muffin was toasted and the flavor of the jam was fire. Good service too and a good environment to just relax and have a good burger. Next time, will order some fries with the burger because it's worth staying there a little longer to enjoy the night.

Martine K.

Yelp
I've been here once before and it didn't disappoint. Great burger although we'd prefer the bun toasted a bit. Fries and onion rings are extras and the portions are big enough for 2 to share. Service is friendly and efficient. Oddly all the bathrooms were out of service when we were there so we had to go across the street and wait in line at Rocco's Tacos. A bit of a hassle but Sunfest was going on so crowds are to be expected. Definitely come here if you are jonesing for a good burger.

Mark D.

Yelp
Just amazing everything!!!! I wish there was one in Fort Lauderdale! I would be broke because I'd eat there nightly!

Jianina M.

Yelp
Oh noo! What has happened to grease!?! We used to love it! Possibly was the best burger in south Florida. To be fair we grabbed it to go but this is the second time we've had a not so great experience. The quality of burger has gone down significantly, before it was super flavorful, great seasoning and quality of meat. Now it's basically a frozen burger patty. We ordered the Grease beast and the patty was just bland, both the lettuce and the tomato were wilted. We also ordered the truffle parm fries and they were edible.Very disappointing...

Brian L.

Yelp
We were walking down Clematis St. not knowing where we would have dinner. We stumbled upon Grease and we are so glad we found it. Perfect spot for casual dining with a great bar. Menu is heavy on burgers and they are very popular. I went with the quarter pound hotdog loaded with toppings on a great toasted roll. My wife had the Chicken Cobb Salad and she enjoyed it. Huge beer list including a bunch of drafts. Best part of our experience was our waiter, Don. Great guy who does a great job, was very helpful with menu recommendations and always made sure we didn't need anything. We will definitely return the next time we visit WPB.

Kriss D.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good burger in WPB this is your stop. Burgers were huge, does not come with fries so you have to add them but you can definitely share the side of fries as they give you A LOT. We had the wings & deviled eggs as appetizers - wings were delicious! Eggs were okay but the avocado was a good twist. Service was awesome!

Connor P.

Yelp
Sawyer is an excellent server. Food and drinks were on point. 10/10 would eat here again

Vanessa O.

Yelp
This place is right in the middle of Clematis area. We sat outside 'cause surprisingly, there was a nice breeze out on this summer night. Host and waitress were nice and welcoming. Clematis lemonade cocktail was just straight up juice. I asked for something sweet but I thought it was just flavored lemonade honestly. I went with a cider after and really enjoyed it. The Caroline burger and sriracha fries were great; very filling which I believe all their burgers may be. Neither of us finished our meal. Good overall choice. Would recommend this spot.

Gillianna V.

Yelp
I been here a few times. I been here for drinks and also for brunch. The service always has been on point. Drinks are good along with the food. Im not a fan of the bread pudding. I also like how they always have the events posted in the bathroom.

Kris T.

Yelp
Great comfortable place for causal food and drink. Outstanding burgers. Full bar as well

Erica W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and was not overly impressed. We tried the tuscan chicken pesto, bacon cheese burger, and turkey burger. The turkey burger seemed like a frozen patty that was over cooked and also missing the avocado. The chicken sandwich was decent and the burger was good.

Christina L.

Yelp
In the running for best burgers in palm beach in my opinion. They are big and juicy! Good bar scene, good place to watch sports

Krista C.

Yelp
1st time at Grease. The food is good, I had the pretzel appetizer and wings. No complaints. Service was also good. There are plenty of parking options with street and garages near by. We went for football and the crowd was smaller than we hoped. Not a knock on the restaurant just not the crowd we were looking for. They have every game on so it's not a bad spot to checkout for football.

Mark S.

Yelp
I had the Smashburger and (mostly) enjoyed it. I upgraded to the pretzelbun and found it a bit chewy. Wife had the chicken cobb salad and was indifferent. Service was very good.

Adriana R.

Yelp
This is the best place I have found so far in West Palm Beach for burgers: whenever we feel like having one, this is the only place that we consider. I have tried almost all their burgers: I always found them really tasty and always perfectly cooked to my preference (medium-rear); and I can say the same for everything else I have tried so far from their "Brats & Dogs"- and "Sandwiches"- sections. The only downside is that nothing comes with sides included; however, since their portions are usually pretty big, we usually share just one side (or even skip it: the burger alone is very filling!). They also have a good selection of craft beers and liquors. The service has been always good, no matter how busy (and loud!) the place is. Their prices are decent, but parking is unfortunately not free and sometimes difficult to find (well, the restaurant is right in Downtown WPB!).

Michael R.

Yelp
Great little place downtown with wonderful service. Menu had enough to offer and the bourbon and beer selection was awesome. 5 stars but I had a sore throat the next day from yelling over the music.

Lucy D.

Yelp
This place was extremely packed because, they absolutely go all out for game nights. Perfect for sport's fans. Not good to attend on a double date or to catch up with a friend due to the extremely loud noise. They messed up our tables food order 3x. They did fix the issue right away but, at this point our friends were turned off. These things do happen specially on a busy night but Yikes 3 order's it's a lot. Plus our food not brought out at the same time at all. Which was awkward on a date night.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Walking in to a sea of FSU fans during the football game, we were concerned about being able to find a table. We were able to sit at one of the two tables outside. The food came quickly, but the waiter was not friendly or helpful. The burgers were good, but nothing to write home about. If it weren't for the fun, rowdy fans packing the restaurant, the experience would not have been too good.

Hannah L.

Yelp
The food here is AWESOME. This has been an absolute favorite for years. It's a bit of a hike from where I live but always worth it. I've never had a bad burger here. On top of that, the ambiance is excellent. Very fun, laid back, sports bar with great drinks and fun clientele. The service is fast, kind, and accommodating. Definitely go here if you're craving a burger.

Jay G.

Yelp
Went back cuse the first time was so good Not last night horrible fries cold n was sick all night Only thing was good onion soup Waiter was overwhelmed Stay away

K G.

Yelp
EAT HERE!!! You won't be disappointed. The menu is great and the CHEF IS AMAZING! The deviled egg appetizer made my tastebuds go-WOW!!!!! We each had something different on the menu and we all agreed that this place is a GEM!! Oh and the wait staff is GREAT! They were very attentive and nice.

Jim And Wendy W.

Yelp
The name caught our eye, we were close and looking for lunch. GREAT food, atmosphere and after our first female server fired us, literally, an excellent server, only 2 weeks on the job, took over. (We didn't want to be seated outside due to impending rain nor at a high top table because 2 in our group would not be able to get up on the chairs). 2 of us ordered the smash burger. Both of us guys could barely finish. Excellent tasting. One ordered a salad with a bun-less burger. Excellent tasting. My wife had the Ron Burgundy, could eat only half. Excellent tasting. Best onion rings ever. We also had the regular fries. The whole experience was great, excellent, outstanding, I can't say enough. Did I mention that they had an amazing selection of craft beers? We will be back!!

Cesar M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed hanging out at Grease, you have to love the name. They have a big bar and the place is well lit and very comfortable. A very good selection of whiskeys and other spirits. We didn't try food other than a pretzel but the dishes rolling by looked tasty. Folks seemed happy with their dishes. Next time we will try some of their dishes, this time was just a few drinks and some sports.
