This place is a solid 5 on food/flavor. The service was okay. Not overly friendly or eager, but also not snobbish or uptight. It was just okay. So let me give you an example. There was a sandwich board type of thing on the outside of the building saying Philly steak burger. So we ask our waiter, is it a patty or strips of steak. Does it have mushrooms, onions, peppers! And he's like yah all those things, and more. Ok??
Regardless , the burger (patty) was amazing. I had a Gorgonzola and chicken salad, which was really good. So another example, I asked if I could do just olive oil and vinegar dressing, he was like lemme check if we have that. He comes back wit a new olive oil bottle and was like, sorry this is all I have. So I said, that's fine do you think I could get some lemon wedges, and he was like ok. He comes back with a glass full of them, which was nice, he Didn't skimp on the lemon.
My husband asked for extra pickles, they were these thick cut slices of pickles and he brought him a little plate filled with them. So it's not that he wasn't nice, just a man of few words. Towards the end of the meal, he seemed to warm up more or come out of his shell and interacted with our son. So, I guess he just needs to warm up to you??
Anyway, the food was really good. The inside of the place seemed like a bar, more so then a restaurant. It kind of reminded me of an old show called cheers. It had the bar smell and high top tables, but the decor was very warm and cozy.
Overall, I think if we had tried all of the other restaurants in the area, we would go back.
