Great American Cookies

HORRIBLE!!!!! H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E.!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a cake that looks NOTHING like the one you explicitly ask for and describe!!!! Waste of money and such a disappointment!!!! WHOEVER MADE THIS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS????? Inserting the inspiration picture and then what we got FOR SIXTY DOLLARS MIGHT I ADD!!!!! If I could give negative stars I WOULD!!!!!!!!! Now replying to response I got. We did contact directly. And we also tried to insert the picture. We know it was not a cookie cake but we also provided a description online that said all we wanted was a weenie dog with some balloons tied to its tail and “23” in the balloon. I can insert a picture of the receipt that includes this description or contact you directly. Not ONE direction was followed. Someone at the store also called my boyfriend directly the day before we were set to pick it up asking to clarify about the design and he also gave another description over the phone of what we wanted because the previous description we gave was not feasible for the cake. You can say whatever you want, we never expected perfection, that picture was only for a general idea, and again we provided a detailed description which I will happily include a photo of that is printed in the receipt. That was simply unacceptable and should not have been $60 being we got absolutely 0 we asked for. I wanted to call the store that day but my boyfriend informed me both workers there when he picked it up seemed to not care at all so I didn’t bother. Unacceptable and I will never get a cake from this location again.

If I could give 100 stars, I would!! The staff here is always so friendly, so patient and so accommodating! Our cakes, from the way they look to the way they taste, always exceed our expectations. One of my kiddos has food allergies, and the level of care we receive when we place an order is truly top notch… and as a busy mom with a bunch of littles, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate their curbside pick up option!! So grateful for the staff at Great American Cookie Co! Appreciate their passion for pleasing, and their willingness to work with their customers so very much!! Shop local, y’all!!

Our son got married in New Orleans recently. He doesn't enjoy traditional cakes and always wanted cookie cakes growing up. I wanted to bring that element to the Rehearsal Dinner. I worked with the owner to create a suitable cookie cake. Jason was great to work with, made the process easy and even delivered the cake to the restaurant for us. Great experience.

Never disappoints. Have ordered my son’s birthday cake year after year and they are always spot on with his random decorating requests.

Sept 2022 updated: We returned and they were open so we bought the buy 5, get 1 free cookies. The strawberry cookies were a little hard. My daughter enjoyed the cookies and cream (they were a little smaller than they should've been) and my favorite was snickerdoodle. Aug 2022 Full disclosure: we never placed an order... While walking around the outlet before taking a historical boat tour, we stopped at this location to checkout the flavors. We inquired about their closing time... the man said 8 but the woman corrected him saying 7. We couldn't take food on the boat so we said we would come back. We did. She was counting the register around 4:30pm and all of the cookies were gone. I asked if they were closed and she nodded yes as she was talking on the phone. We were completely disappointed. If we get to come back and they're open, I'll update my review.

I traveled out of town to give my daughter a NOLA (Saints) experience for her 8th birthday! The owner and team at this location was efficient and completed my order in a timely manner! They literally saved the day as I was not able to travel with a cake! Thanks!

I love ordering from the Riverwalk Great American Cookies! They make the process so incredibly simple. The cakes are always perfect and delicious. I won't go anywhere else. They are the best!

Asked for a hello kitty design at the bottom and WASN’T placed on there. I paid extra for it and it wasn’t in there so I had to go back and get it. Also the word valentines was smushed together as they didn’t take into account how “big” the word is. It’s didn’t even have a question mark on it.

Located in the outlet mall. I always order the double decker cookie because I love the icing! Well I took one bite and the cookie was so hard it crumbled! They were old! I have never had that happen when ordering from this company at other locations. Only good thing was the icing but that isn't worth $5! Prices were overpriced too! Also this particular location was very sloppy! All of the items in the food case were not esthetically pleasing! The cookies were half filled with icing and the brownies were oddly cut and messy looking. Not the typical and I'm sure not what the company would want! Don't recommend!

Love this place so much I circled back and grabbed more cookies. The Strawberry crinkle are my favorites. Great prices and friendly service. This is the perfect snack while you're shopping.

ITS IN THE MALL. Parking at this particular mall is a complete pain in the ass (not worth it) but the cookies are good

This location was recommended by my sister-in-law after a failed attempt at another location. Jason , the owner, was remarkable! Amazing customer service, including free delivery and convenient payment through Venmo! I will definitely recommend to others and use them again.

Beautiful cake and the owner and cake decorator went above and beyond for me by coordinating and making a cake delivery after hours. I'll be using them again.
