Great lunch (for 6 people) 7/16/25. Friendly professional staff. Christie G. is a very good waitress. Everything came out correct and with good timing. Large menu. Cold beer, good selection.

Flavorless Fahitis is kinda mid overall, but there are some hits. The chicken bites? Fire. The pizza? Solid—not changing lives but it does the job. Now the perogies… those were actually so good. Like, comforting in a way that says “I’d never leave you behind or blame you for my actions.” Real ones know. The place isn’t amazing, but it’s got enough going for it if you’re just tryna chill and eat something decent. Overall, not great, not terrible—just vibes.

Google
Passing by Wayne and stopped in for lunch originally looking for wings but the menu had steak. Loved the atmosphere and decor, steak was very good complimented by prompt and friendly service. Would gladly stop in again.

Lovely evening to sit outside. Dawn was our server. She was fun and attentive. We each had brisket dishes and the food was delicious and plentiful. We’ll be back.

Outdoor is good. Food and drinks were okay.I chose moscow mule but hey i appreciate the man customizing for me. Their regular menu doesnt have cocktails. They have beer and wine. Chicken bites were just ok, super hungry so i had them all.

Google
3.1 Stars, Friends brought us here, food was just OK, nothing great, Average at best. Service was horrible, waiter was too interested in the female bar tender to do his job. The place was very nice, good atmosphere. Would not be my first pick, better food elsewhere. Instagram @foodieadventuresusa

We stopped in for lunch today. First, the service was really good. I usually get an attitude when I ask to be seated at a table rather than a booth in most restaurants. They didn’t hesitate to seat me where I wanted to be seated even though it was in an area that was not being used. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the cheesesteak spring rolls and pierogi for appetizers…they were both excellent. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger for my meal. The burger was a bit over cooked, and it was put on a roll that was really doughy. That was not my favorite. We also had coffee and dessert. The coffee was great, and was actually from a brewed pot of coffee, not a Keurig! The chocolate cake was good and went well with the coffee. Overall the food was good and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself was nice and has a bar atmosphere. My one complaint is that the bathroom is not accessible. There were two super tight stalls and no way for people with limited mobility to navigate them.

Google
Substantial food, good beer, friendly staff and fair prices! As a tourist... It doesn't get any more american than here. 😉

Yelp
This place has great good and a very dark relaxed atmosphere! Very lounge vibe. They were able to accommodate a large party and we had our drinks and food. Waiter was super nice and would totally be back to try more food!

Yelp
The food, service and value at the Great American Pub are excellent. This is the type of place that you can go again and again. Very friendly bartenders and waitstaff. Top picks are the chicken sandwiches, burgers, tacos and salads. I saw someone give a really silly bad review because it is hot on the rooftop - then go inside!!!

Yelp
My expectations for eating at this GAP aren't especially high given it's pub grub kind of menu. Had chicken Caesar for lunch. It's ok. Fits the bill. The lettuce coulda used more (any!?) rinsing as a bit of sand was in it. It's a middling kind of food but is what's expected. Good roof deck and a fun bar for a few pops.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Get yourself up to the rooftop with Rachael she is an amazing time. Always ready for a good time no matter how many people are on the roof.

Patrick G.

Yelp
Service was spectacular but it was sweltering on the roof top. I understand that its outside in July but fans would go a long way for not only the customers, but more importantly the bartenders.

Elza K.

Yelp
Terrible food and terrible service. Used to like this place a lot, but will never come back again.

Yelp
Paying for parking is always an inconvenience. Staff is friendly but slow. Food is mediocre. Good for a couple drinks after work during happy hour but nothing special.

Andrew H.

Yelp
Service was remarkably poor . The two young women working the bar tables clearly did not want to be there. Only saving grace was the Phillies were winning.

Yelp
I'm giving this restaurant five stars for an excellent outdoor dining experience during Covid. My salad was delicious. The dressing was a bit sweet so I asked for Russian which was more like a remoulade. That hit the spot. The seafood was fresh and the lettuce was crisp. My husband ordered a Cobb salad that was also delicious. The service was impeccable and I felt like the tables and chairs were very clean. It was encouraging to see our server spraying down each table after people left. The atmosphere under their large tent was very festive. I can't wait to go back again soon.

Ron W.

Yelp
The food is ok, the drinks are fine, but service is horrible and eternal. You can pull up to the bar on an average day and watch to employees gossip for 10 mins before they even know you exist. I'm not exaggerating, they don't even look. It's frustrating AF. This statement comes from about half a dozen visits. It's consistent and the only reason I still go is because I convince myself that it's going to get better.

Yelp
The rooftop bar is aesthetically nice and the bartenders on the roof are good enough. The food is not good. Period. The bartenders I've encountered downstairs are also not good. Bad drinks and attitude to match. The ambiance has been different every time I've been to the Pub, but my last experience was the worst. I like to remain politically agnostic when I go to a bar - I simply want good food, drink and conversation. That said, I had a number of patrons berating me for not being a Trump supporter. Mind you, I never said I wasn't a Trump supporter -- they simply assumed I wasn't. Nonetheless, who effing cares! I don't blame the Pub for the actions of their patrons, but I do blame the Pub for the bad food and downstairs service (especially the short football coach looking bartender). 2.8 stars on Yelp and no responses to concerning reviews says it all! Not sure how they stay open but I'm not going back.

Yelp
Second time my son got food poisoning from the artichoke crab dip Unacceptable for him to pay you for this dip and throw up all weekend

Lisa K.

Yelp
Disappointed in management of this establishment. Out to dinner tonight with friends. While the food was tasty, the reason for this 1 star review is that while we were completing our meal, we saw a mouse run down the aisle. We told the manager what we saw and it was apparent he had no interest of hearing our concern nor offered an apology. His behavior was completely unacceptable.

John W.

Yelp
Nice outside sitting area. Food is decent. Rooftop service is slow, but sidewalk service is better. Last time we went, the table next to us brought a dog that they had train to bark for table scraps. The dog was barking the entire meal. Owners thought it was cute. Restaurant management said that there was nothing that they could do, so we tried to ignore it, but it ruined our evening.

Yelp
I was at the Great American Pub in Wayne Friday night. Food was great!! Crazy busy, but service was great. The bartender, Chrissy, was fantastic. She handled some obnoxious customers professionally and effectively, despite being called vulgar names.

Yelp
Last I was here, I lunched outside (earned a nice tan), and snacked on a Meat Lovers brick oven pizza - that's pepperoni, chopped meatballs, ham, tomato sauce and cheese ($11). It didn't shatter my mind, and it was large enough that I had leftovers. Friendly Esther got me jalapenos, too! Pizza options are strangely limited. Even the creative ones are meat-heavy: they offer tomato pie, Margherita (tomato sauce with three cheeses), baby spinach and cheese, vegetarian, BBQ chicken (roasted chicken with BBQ sauce, peppers, onions, pine nuts (!), various cheeses), and cheesesteak (beef or chicken). I don't know about you, but I'd love a vegetable and meat combo. I guess I could've made a special request, but we all know how much kitchens typically like special requests. Good spot to enjoy a drink. Decent place to eat.

Yelp
This is a review of the new rooftop..and I've been drinking..so keep that in mind. In the desperation of the grim faces upon the streets of north Wayne Avenue, the people are in a constant state of wanting. Wayne, one dirty hell hole of a town needed a savior..one man they could count on to clean it up. The GAP seized upon this opportunity and a hero emerged in the form of a bouncer. One man, on a mission..a mission for justice. Armed with only a standard issue tactical belt, pepper spray, handcuffs, flashlight, badge and a trail of drakkar noir, he services the patrons with a serpico-esq commitment to justice. He invented the ocular pat-down and can spot a threat within seconds. He brings honor to his dojo. ,Don't let the leather jacket fool you...he is the reincarnation of Patrick Swayze from roadhouse..and this time he is out for blood.

Yelp
Online menu is out of date, Impossible options are all listed as vegan online, and vegetarian in the restaurant. They do not have any vegan cheese for these options. Disappointing.

Yelp
I have been to the Wayne and the Conshohocken locations a few times. Solid place to meet up with friends after work to enjoy a beer, loud music, and watch sports on T.V. I usually do not gravitate towards this type of restaurant but it is an easy walk from my current living situation, and my husband and I were basically in the mood for the bar scene that serves food. As far as ambience it is what you expect from a place named The Great American Pub. Lots of wood decor and large bar areas with televisions and plenty of bar taps. Since we were more in the mood for eating than drinking, we were seated next to the bar area that has some booth tables. Our server was very pleasant but not always available, but we were okay with that because we were in no rush. My husband ordered a special fried chicken sandwich and I got the Smoked Beef Brisket Soft Tacos (Twin tacos with cheddar, pico de gallo and shredded lettuce. Tortillas, guacamole, salsa and sour cream). I was pleasantly surprised by the portion and the quality of the brisket. The brisket was top notch; not dry at all and seasoned very well. And there were plenty of fixings on the side to add to the taco. I probably should have taken the second taco home, but my beer brain convinced me I was hungry enough to enjoy both.

Yelp
Went to this place while in Wayne for the night. I will preface this with the fact that I'm picky - I got the crab cake burger and it literally looked so gross I didn't eat it. Gross. I was going to order something safer like French fries but the waitress never came back to our table to ask us how the food was so I didn't have the chance. Then I ran out of wine and actually had to get up from my seat to ask her to get me another glass. She then told me that I could go up to the bar and get it myself.... then the bartender was super rude to me because I obviously am not a regular. Idk why I didn't give this place 1 star honestly but I feel kind of bad doing that .
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
The food quality is excellent, everything is very good. Service is sometimes very slow. But be very careful of the French onion soup bowl; EXTREMELY HOT. My companion burned her hand. They didn't warn us and the waitress was not apologetic. If it were worse than a minor skin burn, I'd be really pissed off.

Yelp
This is my family's go to spot when we're all in town. The beer selection is always great, the food never fails to impress, and our servers are always super friendly and prompt.... HOWEVER on multiple occasions I have experienced blatant sexism from the man who is the "host". When I walk in to be seated, I am ALWAYS ignored, even on slow nights. He acts as if I am not there and refuses to make eye contact with me. However if I'm with my father or another male, he will always greet them immediately and seat us promptly. I would normally never even notice something like this, but it has happened nearly every time I am there and it is incredibly frustrating. It's 2019 bro, get with the program.

Shikha P.

Yelp
One of the worst bars i have been to here. service during the night was alright but the bouncers were unreasonable and arrogant. it was close to 1am on a saturday night and the bar was starting to clear up however my group of 10 were still waiting for our uber after it canceled is few times and they were very aggressive with telling us we had to leave, then after proceeded to kick us out in the 20 degree weather while they laughed from the windows and let others stay in the bar. horrible service from the bouncers, it was 1am on a saturday and that was completely unnecessary.

Danny D.

Yelp
Me and my fellow bachelors and masters graduate friends thought we would celebrate our graduation with a night out on the Wayne town. Unfortunately to us we thought The Great American Pub would be a nice dining option non the less it was awful.
google avatar

James D.

Yelp
The best pub in the region . Friday night with John Grecia on the piano is the greatest time of them all. I would rather stay home than go anywhere else.

Cal I.

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. We sat down and ordered drinks, and when asked for our ID's we were rudely denied. A member of our party was told that her ID was fake, even though she is 23 years old and just received her masters of science in applied statistics this past weekend. When we disputed the claim we were rudely dismissed. We then asked to speak to the manager, but was told by the waiter minutes later that the manager would not speak with us. After the blatant disrespect by the wait staff and the disregard of our situation by management, we were compelled to take our business elsewhere. We had a great dinner at Christopher's down the street, and it's safe to say that none of us will ever return to the "Great American Pub" ever again.
google avatar

Sharon R.

Yelp
A friendly place to meet up with friends. The bar is good sized and the tables are a little distance away so it is quieter at the tables. TV's to catch up on the latest scores. Spring/Summer/Fall you can eat outside. I've never had to wait for a table. Waiters are friendly and helpful and always nearby if you need something. I generally order the turkey sandwich, but for brunch recently I enjoyed the beef brisket sandwich. I'm looking forward to trying Salmon cheesesteak the next time. They are Coke people so that is always a plus for me. The only drawback is parking - but parking in Wayne can be challenging.

Yelp
This is my first yelp review ever in part because I've never been inspired enough to write one. All that has changed after many wonderful experiences at the Great American Pub and its fantastic and pleasant server, Kaylee. Not only does she do her job well but she always inquires as to how we are doing and seems to really mean it. She is warm, friendly personable and works very hard. The Great American Pub has a real asset in Kaylee and she is certainly a big reason why we continue to dine there. J&J

Yelp
Best bar in the western suburbs Great bar food Best place for live music on Friday nights The Windows and doors open to let the weather in and it can be a great time in the spring and fall The town government puts a big damper on the outdoor enjoyment since a local curmudgeon took the Pub to court and some bleep bleeping judge sided with the curmudgeon Who rents an apartment in a commercial district of a town and then decided to prosecute a pub for noise violations? So now this creep gets paid to walk in every night at 11 and close up or tell the staff to close up all windows as a condition of the judge's rulings You can't make this stuff up

Yelp
Absolutely HORRID food. I made the horrible mistake of taking my mother here when she came to visit. The brisket came out cold, and we later found out that this poor excuse for beef had been sitting under a heat lamp and microwaved. As a resident of Nashville for a few years prior to moving to Philly, I found their attempt at barbeque to be laughable at best. The rest of us ordered a burger, of which I could only finish half due to the poorly seasoned, probably frozen hamburger patties. Finally, the chips were cooked at too low of a temperature and were soggy. Run from this place unless you are just going in for a beer. The food is a wretched example of Main Line dining.

Anthony S.

Yelp
I just got flipped the bird in this place after asking why I waited so long to get another drink.

Susan G.

Yelp
Warm and welcoming local pub - attentive service and cold draft beer. The pizza was delicious ! Fairly priced food :)
google avatar

Chris Z.

Yelp
Average pub with a nice interior and exterior setting. Nothing for foodies as at the most average pub food level which deserves 2 stars but due to the nice seating outside, the friendly service and my lovely companion I givie it 3 stars. We had a veggie quesadilla and a lamb burger which came well done instead of medium. If we come again we just stop by for drinks or 5-7 happy hour and eat in the places nearby which are far better
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
Awesome experience! We came here last night with a table of 9 and had a great spacious table by the bar. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious! We all did salads and sandwiches. This place has a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Jeff G.

Yelp
You can tell the management is lacking. There was a manager by the name is Krissie who was telling customers to "get the f#ck out" and pushing patrons without cause. Incredibly unprofessional and rude. Really sad to see how a great evening can be ruined by the wrong kind of staff. Once things change there, we may return but until then I'd strongly recommend a different place to enjoy your evenings.

Michael S.

Yelp
IF YOUR 21-23 DO NOT COME. The Great American Pub seems like a great spot, I went there with a group of friends after graduating college. Our friends drivers license was confiscated after it was "proved" to be fake, we are all 22. No option was given to us to speak to a manager and we were told the whole table could not be severed alcohol. We ended up accepting this, and just tried to order food. Our server never came to take our order. I'm not giving my business to any place like this and you shouldn't either.
google avatar

Lexie M.

Yelp
Love this place. Always consistent, so cute inside, and great food. I love the salads, pastas, and any of the BBQ items especially the ribs and pulled pork. Such a charming and co

Ian P.

Yelp
A local favorite, The Pub, is a great place to come for lunch or dinner or on the weekend for drinks. The food is great and the waiters and bartenders are super friendly and do a great job. When it's warm out the outside seating is fantastic The Pub is right in the heart of Wayne and directly next to the Radnor stop on the Paoli-Thorndale train line. It has a real sense of community and is a cherished local establishment.

Joanna M.

Yelp
First time when we dined there I would give them five stars however the second time when we came back for great food the service was terrible the girl waitresses are very rude and disrespectful they roll their eyes if you ask them for anything will not be returning

Hal E.

Yelp
Go for booze with friends. For food, it's borderline inedible. Only pro is decent outdoor space in middle of Wayne.

Keegan H.

Yelp
My brisket sandwich was soggy and terrible. Could have gone to El Limon and gotten way better food for half the price.‍My vegan friend was satisfied as they did not charge him for extra chicken on his sandwich. Make Great American Pub Great Again!

Emmett F.

Yelp
If I could only leave a single Yelp review that was 1 star or less in the entirety of my life, I would save it for this heaping pile of shit, in the bottom of a dumpster fire, spinning around a tornado. Two separate menus for the upstairs and downstairs? What?! The rooftop menu is an absolute joke. The fact that they can call it a menu should be a war crime. Paired with the fact that you cant even order anything from downstairs and have it brought upstairs. Who's brilliant idea was that?! This place has nothing going for it. Overpriced, average food, slow service and overall discombobulation makes this place a no go for me.

Don K.

Yelp
Not all GAP's are created equal! In Phoenixville, you get real cutlery (not plastic as in Wayne.) And more importantly, when eating outdoors, you don't have to contend with mice!!

Frank S.

Yelp
I have been to The Great American a number of times. The food is average to below average. On a recent lunch with friends three had cheese steaks. It was the worst cheese steak I have ever been served. The meat was tough real tough and the fried onions were a few little speaks that you could hardly tell were there. On the other hand the turkey platter which no one had on this visit is good. So I would say in the consistency realm it is hit and miss.

Vicki H.

Yelp
Tonight we ordered food and first they got one of the orders completely wrong. When we finally sat down to eat, my chicken with shrimp and crab tasted like the crab and shrimp were bad and the chicken was way overcooked. I would not recommend getting food here.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Tonight was a terrible experience here. We sat outside and were not greeted for 25 minutes. A two top next to us got their drinks AND food before we even received our drinks and they sat 10 minutes after us. They were not busy at all (it was 9:30 when we sat). Our server Kaylee was rather rude. Service here is never really that great but tonight it was extra bad. To have to ask to be acknowledged twice before a server finally came over is just ridiculous. Plus half our tables food came 8 minutes after the other half.

Yelp
Always a fun time at the Great American Pub in Wayne, Conshy(new rooftop bar- im in love), Malvern, or any of the other various locations! When I come here, I typically order a burger and fries-- in particular, the Cobb burger. It comes with a thick slice of gorgonzola cheese, bacon, and avocado! Last time I ate there, my server, Maeve, was so kind, considerate, and efficient. The staff is so friendly!!!The Pub is exactly what it is... Pub food. Don't expect a five star meal when you order the blacked chicken risotto, or the cod special. It's standard pub fare people! The beer list is extensive and the bartenders are always so helpful... One of the best patios in downtown wayne, secondly to the Goats beard.
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
This place gets a qualified "bleh!" I feel like it's not a totally fair bleh, since I ordered a vegetarian salad and didn't drink with my lunch. And clearly, beer and meaty things are GAP's strong points. They have some outdoor table rockers (like porch swings, but entire tables) that look like they'd be excellent places to have a beer on a nice day. But oh, my Greek salad was so terrible! It had chicken on top (Greek salads generally... do not), and was entirely iceberg lettuce, despite being advertised as romaine lettuce mixed with iceberg. This makes me sound really picky, I know. But the $9 spent on a salad could totally have bought me a delicious lunch at one of Wayne's decent sandwich places. And this makes me a sad, picky person. :(

Yelp
*Basing my review on their new Plant Based Menu* As someone who is WFPB I was thrilled to see new plant based options. I work in town and order out for lunch several times a week. There are a few decent choices on the PB menu that I have really enjoyed:the pineapple quinoa bowl being my personal favorite, along with the falafel platter. Steer clear of anything with the "house made vegan mozzarella" in it---it is honestly the worst vegan cheese I've ever had. They would be much better off swapping the house made cheese for even daiya brand and the items with cheese would be 10000 times better and actually edible. I give them props for being one of the few restaurants with plant based offerings but think they are definitely hit or miss.
