Great Gun Oysters We have made multiple purchase from Great Gun Oysters and have been very satisfied every time. For the Fourth of July we purchased oysters for our family celebration. They were delicious. Unfortunately, we misjudged the amount…they were gone in a flash. Not only do we (and will) continue to order oysters from Great Gun but we also tell everyone we know. Customer service is blue ribbon.

My husband and I have gotten oysters from here a number of times. They are delicious and soooo fresh. Paul makes it so easy to pick up your oysters. You order and pay on Wednesday and pick them up Friday. Your name is on a bag in a cooler and you just drop by and take them. All our guests thought they were yummy too! We will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Great Gun oysters taste like a bit of the ocean itself. I have never had fresher oysters, that’s for sure! From the bay to our house in two hours! Crazy good and delicious. The sustainable aquaculture farming is really a responsible way to harvest protein from the sea, and these filter feeders really are good for the water quality in the Great South Bay. All in all the Folks at Great Gun Oysters are creating a win, win situation for our planet.

As a private club chef, I have served many types of oyster from all over North America and Great Guns are by far the most consistent oyster we’ve ever shucked. The proximity of the beds to the inlet assures that the water is absolutely pristine. Perfect level of brine, plump meats, deep cup and not difficult to open. Always a hit at our events.

The ordering of the oysters and the subsequent local pick up went very smoothly. I opened them at home and served them on the half shell. The overall taste of the oyster interspersed with the perfectly briny flavored liquor is beyond delicious. These oysters are my favorite and being they are local makes it even better.

We love the oysters! They can’t get any fresher!!! It is so wonderful that Paul is a great guy who is passionate about his oysters and his farm. We will never buy oysters anywhere else again… AND, we love walking out and taking a look at the beds… it is a great walk in the winter or summer!!! We hope to try his full service oyster party service soon.

We were first turned on to Great Gun Oysters through our CSA in tye Spring of 2020. We love oysters, but with all the restaurants being closed and the oyster farmers having surplus supply, it was a no brainer to start buying oysters from our local farmer. We didn't know how to shuck them in the beginning and Paul, the owner, gave me a quick lesson. From that we became friends. The service is amazing, so personal. The oysters are delicious. We have definitely been spoiled with these beauties. We recommend Great Gun wholeheartedly. Get some for sure!!!!!
