Great Shot - Review - Si Phum - Chiang Mai - The Infatuation

"Great Shot is a cafe by day and a cocktail bar by night. The whole place is decked out in red, from the furniture to the walls and the ceiling, so that the space mimics the appearance of darkrooms used to develop films. Their cocktails are also photography-themed, such as “FLASH.JPG,” a bright pink drink with dragonfruit and roselle, as well as the “OVEREXPOSURE.JPG,” which pairs lanna white spirit with oregano and mushroom. It’s a great spot to catch the sunset hours or hang at the seats outside to watch the cars go by. The second floor doubles as a mini photography exhibition space, so if you’re looking for a well-rounded spot to spend a few hours, this is it." - Vichayuth Chantan

Awesome little bar. Bartender is passionate about mixing quality unique drinks all done with flair and showmanship. It’s nice to see a bartender who obvious loves what he does and has the skills to produce a really good quality product he’s visibly proud of. love the atmosphere of the place as well.

This cafe/bar is exceptional. Their menu is curated with creativity and very sophisticated. We had the best alcoholic Matcha (sorry I was too drunk to remember the name😂) that went so well with their cheesecake. Seasonal drinks are highly recommend! The place itself is also an experience, day and night lighting made the whole place look so different and the staff is very friendly.

Such a nice and chic atmosphere to enjoy a beautifully curated cocktail with friends. We found the owner and staff to be incredibly knowledgeable about their cocktails/ingredients. My friend asked for a recommendation and they asked us questions to provide thoughtful options. I loved my drink! Local ingredients, many made in house. A favorite experience in Chiang Mai (and Thailand)!

We arrived in Chiang Mai at night, had dinner and decided to check out this bar. When we walked in, the place was empty and I confess we had a moment of doubt... but what a mistake we would have made if we had left! This was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences we had in Thailand. The warm welcome, the authentic Thai hospitality, and the genuine friendship of the bartender transformed our first night in Chiang Mai into something truly special. The mixology is EXCEPTIONAL! The house signature cocktails are perfect - you can notice the care and technique in every detail. In addition, we tried amazing Thai craft beers that you simply won't find at 7-Eleven or tourist spots. But what really touched us was the human connection. We left not only with our bellies full of great drinks, but with a complete list of authentic places to visit and a real lesson about Thailand from the perspective of someone who lives here. If you want to experience the true essence of Chiang Mai, this place is a must-visit. Don't be put off if it's empty - you're about to have a unique and personal experience. Thank you so much for the hospitality! We'll definitely be back! 🙏

This place has a must-try jackfruit drink that I’ve never had before. It’s so special! I love the taste and the perfect balance of sweetness. It wasn’t crowded when I visited on Sunday at 8 pm. The music selection is chill and not boring. Although the price is slightly elevated, the exceptional staff friendliness and unique drink offerings make this establishment a worthwhile choice.

I really love this bar. They decor it like a modern darkroom cafe in red. For me, it’s good vibe, good drink, and good price. I am a cocktail lover. Here is One of the best unique cocktail in Thailand. You can get your new experience by requesting your drink by your story. Bartenders’er very friendly and I think some of them will be known widely soon.

I really love the concept of Great Shot Bar which is done up in a dark red colour to resemble a photography darkroom. From the name of the place to the drinks, they all draw inspiration from photography. Lovely drinks with great flavours to chill out to and I am sure much effort has gone into concocting these! Pun is an absolute professional and you can tell from the way he works. Every step is detailed and meticulous. Last we spoke, 3rd floor is a community area where they can hold art and craft workshops and other activities and also display knick knacks for sale. Staff are warm and friendly and I wish I had more time to soak in the ambience and also to try out some of their coffee during my last trip. This is a gem and a must visit if you are in Chiang Mai. I can't wait to visit this beauty again. They serve coffee from 9:09am till 5pm and cocktails thereafter. Check out @keanmono on IG / TT for more!

This is a great place to have a quiet cocktail, craft beer, or coffee. The coffee is great and the Thai craft beer is fairly priced. It has a unique concept and was designed to resemble a photography dark room. In addition to the two story bar/cafe area, there is a third floor setup to allow you to get some work done if you like. The service is nice and the friendly owner can hold a great conversation. I can definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the noisy bars and have a conversation while sipping.
