Best Breakfast Restaurants in Boston | Eater Boston

"From the sausage rolls to the molten egg yolk buns, Great Taste knows how to produce an unbeatable breakfast spread. It’s hard to go wrong on the menu, but be sure to nab the fried turnip cakes, custard rolls, and any of the sweet or savory buns. Early birds, take note: the breakfast offerings of French toast, sliced beef sandwiches, and ham and egg sandwiches start at 6:30 every morning." - Nathan Tavares

Where to Buy Mooncakes in Boston for the Mid-Autumn Festival | Eater Boston

"Great Taste is a favorite for its char siu bao and barbecue pork pies. Hang out on the restaurant side for some great dim sum, or stop by its bakery side for small or large Cantonese-style mooncakes with red bean, green bean/mung bean, or lotus seed fillings."

The Best Char Siu Bao in Boston | Eater Boston

"Great Taste… well, its food tastes great, especially its char siu bao. The business is set up in two parts — its restaurant sits to the left, while its bakery sits to the right. Go for the steamed char siu bao on the restaurant side, or pop into the bakery to order a single baked char siu bao. Great Taste is open for indoor dining and takeout (call or order online)."

We’ve been loyal customers of this dim sum restaurant for many years. We visited again today and the food was still delicious, as expected. However, we had a very disappointing experience when it came time to pay. We paid our bill and left a cash tip, as we usually do. A staff member came over to count the cash and told us the tip wasn’t enough, pointing out that the “suggested tip is at least 15%.” My friend added two more dollars, which we believe brought the tip to 15%—and we calculated it before tax, which is the standard tipping practice. Despite that, the staff insisted we did not tip enough. I told her that the tip amount is suggested, not mandatory. What was most upsetting was her attitude. She was rude and dismissive, even though one of our dishes had been forgotten during the meal, which we didn’t complain about because we had to leave early. I’ve always been happy to tip fairly for good service, but this experience left a bad impression. I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to my friends after how we were treated (I added the photo to prove that this review is based on my real experience.)

Start the day with our homecook breakfast, this place serve you a very good taste congee, dimsum, and many chinese food to kick start your day. Price very reasonable comparing in Boston, and open too early for you to jump the day off. Staff are freindly in Chinese way, which i got very comfort too, and surely come back when i have a chance to visit Boston again.

Google
A little bakery that if you go to the back and turn around the corner, a little hotspot for dimsum and Cantonese food. The daikon radish cake grilled was great (once they gave us the right sauce), congee was solid, but the ginger tripe and the chicken feet in a "black bean sauce" were bland, lacked any flavor. Seating is first-come, first-served, tight little tables, and they give you a menu while you wait so you can order and be ready when you sit down.

This restaurant is the best breakfast in Chinatown. It has a ton of authentic chinese options. Reasonably priced with nice and attentive staff. Really good congee too.

Truly authentic flavors dim sum. Super friendly service highly recommended.

Google
A rare full-service spot for a hearty Chinatown breakfast. For me, there’s something special about starting the day with a hearty Asian breakfast, and this spot is one of the few places in the city—let alone Chinatown—that offers a full-service experience. I like to come here once in a while, especially on holidays, and even as early as 8am, this place could get busy. Like many Chinatown staples, the menu here is extensive: huge selection of small plates, from dim sum and dumplings to rice rolls and more. Each visit, I try to get something new, and so far, the fried turnip cake and deep fried spareribs were my favorites. Other classics like the Xiao Long Bao and Duck Noodle Soup were solid and on par with the popular spots nearby. However, the bakery section has been a bit of a miss. While the egg tarts are great, the other pastries and cakes were subpar. The cakes have an unbalanced ratio of bread to cream, and the tarts sometimes taste like they’ve been sitting for a day or two. Nevertheless, Great Taste will always be one of my go-to spots in Chinatown. There’s something irreplaceable about a hearty Asian breakfast, and this place delivers that in spades.

Google
Avoid at any cost!!!!!! The restaurant was good before, but goes extremely downhill these days—based on my recent three visits. The food is not fresh—If you do not wanna get sick, avoid! I attach a picture of a dish I had today- as you can see, only one piece of meat and it is obviously not fresh! By the way, the staffs there are very very rude! Very disappointed!

Google
i love dim sum and i love this dim sum and i love the bakery and i love how no frills, yummy, fast, and fresh this whole experience is. been here a handful of times. during MLK weekend, when the boston common pond literally double froze over, my brother and i mbta-ed twice up to south station to come eat here. we wore every layer possible, two pairs of socks, hand warmers, big coats braved that cold to come eat here. and it hit the spot in every way. the servers were so cute the second time we came they recognized us and welcomed us back and it was really quiet on a tuesday lunch so we stayed long after drinking our full pot of tea and just hung out. pictures are from both visits. the one thing that caught me by surprise was the crab meat rolls because the dough tasted like corn dog batter and i wanted an egg roll wrapper flavor but the taste of the real crab meat more than made up for it. love these egg tarts and fruit tarts. could eat shrimp dumplings for breakfast lunch and dinner and be happy 5ever.

Yelp
I was visiting Boston and my local friends love this place for dim sum so they had to bring me in to try. The service was great! I'm so used to dim sum restaurant servers being so hostile, this was a nice surprise. We tried the usual shu mais and dumplings and then ordered BEEF CHOW FUN and SALT AND PEPPER SQUID. All were great, not thee best, but it was good and hit the spot. We all left stuffed and would return again. Note that if you are one to eat a lot of chili oil with your dim sum, be clear and ask for the whole bottle from the beginning, or they will keep bringing you a small amount each time.

Yelp
This is a bakery and a restaurant all in one. They have some of the cheapest pastries, breads, and other Chinese desserts in all of Chinatown, and that's saying a lot, because stuff is cheap around here. During my time in Boston, I came here often - perhaps weekly - for a small snack to-go. There's a bit of seating inside at the restaurant, but I preferred to buy pastries and eat them on one of the benches outside nearby. I'd highly recommend their red bean yolk pastries. They don't accept credit card for purchases under $10, but that's to be completely expected in Chinatown.

Yelp
A little bakery that if you go to the back and turn around the corner, a little hotspot for dimsum and Cantonese food. Enter the restaurant through the back of the bakery. Service is brisk and brusque - no niceties here, just efficiency as they bring food asap as prepared and take away plates once they see you're done.

Yelp
Actually the worst dim sum I've ever had. Very unfortunate as I wanted to support more minority businesses on my trip and I was recommended this place for an asian breakfast. No flavor in anything. That's all I can say.

Yelp
Solid dim sum! Came here with a party of 4 at prime time 11am on Saturday. Somehow got a table immediately because it got super packed right after with people standing around the tables waiting for spots to open up. Service was fast & efficient as they're trying to move people in & out as quick as possible. No cart, check the food items on the list (they provide pics) & they bring it out to you. All of the items came out hot & fresh except for the egg tarts which was a slight bummer. Restaurant accepts card, the bakery line is cash only. $80 for 4 people after tip. Restaurant could be cleaner but along with the chaos of how crowded it was, it definitely adds to the authenticity LOL. Would recommend overall.

Yelp
Love this place. No frills great food. Great value. I highly recommend it. Dim sum, breakfast, Hong Kong style food. In short its all here bakery even.

Yelp
The Great Taste Bakery & Restaurant offers Chinese baked goods & dimsum in the mornings! They are super busy in the mornings for dimsum & sometimes have to share a table with other people. I enjoy their XO turnip cake, shu mai, & rice rolls. Bakery items are pretty good too! Egg tarts are chef's kiss and I love getting their white sugar sponge cake hahaha. Btw, the sponge cake with bbq crispy pork, AMAZING combo, must try!

Yelp
We only visited the bakery off to the side of the cafe. They have lots of pastries/desserts to choose from, we tried the red bean cake and the tiger skin rolls. Both were good but the red bean cake was a bit too dense for me. The tiger skin roll cake is best if eaten at room temperature. They only accept cash at the bakery.

Yelp
Bakery review: We came here for some Asian desserts. Saw a line for the dim sum restaurant; going to have to check that out next time! The service was quick and friendly at the bakery. We picked a few items to try. The moon cake with red beans inside was delicious. The yellow cat cake was amazing; super creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. I am not a fan of too sweet and love that most Asian desserts are not too sweet. Another favorite is the egg custard tart; so flakey and creamy. I would've ordered more but we just had a big lunch. Overall, a decent little bakery in the middle of Chinatown.

Yelp
The congee had a good consistency. The ribs didn't have a lot of flavor, but everything else was pretty standard. Not a lot of dim sum selections but the menu has most of the classics. Seating is quite limited: 2 large tables that can fit 6 people and multiple small tables for parties of 2-4. There was no wait when I came at 2pm on a Sunday. The congee and vegetables were served quickly but the wait for dim sum was slightly longer.

Yelp
Pork buns... yum! The dough is soft and perfect. A nice midday snack!! My friends enjoyed it too!

Yelp
Right in the center of Chinatown, you'll find this hidden gem of a restaurant. Similar to other restaurants that I have reviewed, this restaurant offers dim sum all day long. Along with some very traditional Cantonese style dishes, one being the imperial pork, which is a delicious crispy tangy mountain of pork chops. This place will not win any awards for the decor, as it is rather dated, however it makes it all back up in the food. We ordered a handful of traditional dim sum dishes such as the steamed rice and chicken in a banana, leaf, shrimp, dumplings, pork dumplings, and a few other very traditional Cantonese Tim some dishes. Additionally, we also ordered the house special fried rice (Yang Chow Chow Fun) chicken, and bamboo shoots, and the imperial park. Everything was served, fast, hot and delicious. One of the best judges I can ever tell you is my son, who loved everything. (This place is Child Approved!) The service was great, and additionally, while overhearing other tables guests, who are not familiar with Chinese, we're not having any issues, communicating with the servicer, as servers were taking their orders, and were able to briefly describe what certain dishes were. Additionally, the menus are in English, and there are pictures, so there is no problems with just pointing at certain dishes if you're not familiar with the name of it.

Yelp
I really like how I can have dim sum for dinner! Went here with my bestie on a Friday night. The food was delicious! We ordered several things that were all tasty and reasonably priced. Also grabbed some goods from the bakery. I liked the lotus leaf wrapped rice and the pork buns the best. The food came out quickly too!

Yelp
My family and I were hungry after touring around Boston. We decided to try Great Taste Bakery restaurant from Boston Chinatown. It did not disappointment. We ordered four dishes for a family of four and cleaned all four plates with nothing left. We would come back. They have dim sum and regular dishes. We got the regular dishes. Reasonable prices!

Yelp
Food was solid and great portion size for price. The only item which was ok was Crab Rangoon everything else was amazing. They also serve warm water for free!

Morgan G.

Yelp
Great food, great service! The staff was very accommodating for our child who is a very picky eater and brought us something he loved.

Yelp
First of all, you have to take it for what it is: great food in a rundown lunchroom in the back of a bakery. This isn't the place for "ambiance", but is is the right place for outstanding food. I've tried all the Dim Sum spots in Boston and Quincy, and have to say that of all of them, Great Taste is the best. By a hair, but still that's saying a lot when the competition includes solid places like East Ocean, Dynasty, and Hei La Moon Food Opera. All the Dim Sum classics are knockout. Especially good is cheung fun rice noodle rolls with egg tofu and gai lan, which they make by far the best. The fried turnip cake with XO sauce also stands out. Again, ignore the "ambiance", or lack thereof, or the fact that the bathroom should be labeled a superfund site, and prepare yourself for some fine Dim Sum at a great price. They also have a bakery under the same roof that has pretty decent Cantonese pastries at a good price. Cash only, unlike the lunchroom.
google avatar

Yelp
A great dim sum spot with fresh and well made dumplings. The shrimp dumplings had a nice chewiness, and the pork siu mai was full of flavor. The only thing I didn't love was that some items got cold quickly. Service was decent, though it was a bit slow during peak hours. The restaurant was bright and bustling, adding to the classic dim sum experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted to switch it up from my usual dimsum go-to in Boston, Winsor Dim Sum Cafe, so stopped by here after a friend raved about it. With the blustery weather that Boston had been getting, their congee really hit the spot. I also enjoyed their har gow (shrimp dumplings) and their taro steamed ribs, but their xiao long bao tasted straight out of a package... They also messed up our order when they gave us charsiu rice rolls instead of our preferred shrimp rolls. This was pretty dry even when smothered in sauce. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday morning but the food came out quick and table turnover was quite quick.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times for dim sum with friends, and it has consistently been a good place. The restaurant part is on the left and the seating is quite limited relative to other dim sum giants in Chinatown, and there is no cart service. However, each item is done quite well, and we keep coming back. The standards are done well, and I feel confident enough to order my dim sum favorites here - the pork spare ribs with black bean sauce, flat rice noodles, and more. The black horse item to order is the crispy tofu - the roughly $12 one on the non-dimsum menu. Worth the "splurge" - it is delightfully crispy without much batter, and seasoned lightly with chili and salt. Quite possibly the best tofu dish I've ever had, very addicting.

Yelp
This past Friday, we went to Chinatown in Boston for lunch. There were mixed reviews with the restaurants with rolling carts. There were 2 with dimsum close to each other, so we initially walked by. Great Taste vs. Winsor Dimsum Cafe. Winsor had stairs, which would be a little more challenging for Dad, so we decided on Great Taste. By the time we got back, there was a line waiting. It's a small place and next door was the bakery. Everything is made to order. The menu is more limited compared to San Antonio. I think Dad prefers the dimsum at @goldenwoksatx. It was good to try and good to see Chinatown. Makes us appreciate what we have in San Antonio.

Yelp
A small place for dim sum but good food, reasonable price. No cart rolling around but what you ordered from dim sum menu, they would bring them to your table. Half is for restaurant and other half is for bakery. We wanted to go to another dim sum restaurant but it was closed. So we stopped here instead of. A bit confused at first of how to order, but we soon figured it out. Shrimp dumpling was big and yummy, we also ordered shrimp & egg with rice, molten eggs buns, ribs congee & crabmeat seaweed rolls. Everything hit the spot and I wish I had more rooms as I wanted to try some other dishes.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a quick breakfast. We ordered 4 items: shrimp dumpling (har gow), bean curd sheet rolls (seen juk guen), veggies, cruller rice roll (tza Leung). Everything was steamed to order as things didn't all arrive at once. And when they did, it was piping hot! We couldn't even finish everything. The ladies were super cute, striking up a conversation with us. Food is 3.5 stars. I love the texture of the rice rolls. I don't know why the rice rolls in California is never this silky. Plus an extra .5 star for service.

Yelp
great taste restaurant is connected to the bakery of the same name. the restaurant is pretty stripped back and has a minimally decorated interior, so you know the food is going to be bussing. i was on a food tour in chinatown so i didn't get the most food, but the chinese donut and congee were quite delectable! the congee was not the best i've ever had, but definitely decent. the shrimp rice roll was really good and came with vegetables too! the service is pretty friendly and quick. i would absolutely come back to try other dim sum dishes and support a local chinatown business. highly recommend!
google avatar

Serena L.

Yelp
The food is delicious, freshly made and flavorful. Ordered the shrimp noodle roll , pork with preserved egg congee, spare rib with Taro , and Shrimp Chive Dumpling. Would recommend them all. The service was fast as well. We came around 8:45am so the ambiance was relatively quiet and we were seated immediately.

Yelp
Authentic Hong Kong style restaurant in downtown Boston on Beach Street in the China Town area offering all the favorites. They offer Chinese tea, dim sum, varieties of cakes, desserts, rice soup, noodles, hot pots, seafood and many delicious authentic Cantonese style food. I ordered the beef & broccoli with pork fried rice. Both delicious. The pork fried rice is the best I've had. Authentic, light and not weighed down with all the unhealthy bs most places put in their rice. They bring out tea right away that was very soothing. Small restaurant with enough seating for rotating customers. The food came out pretty quickly. Friendly staff and decent pricing.

Yelp
So many Chinese bakeries in the area but I happened to choose this one. The service wasn't as bad as I was anticipating. I got a handful of things to bring home and the BBQ pork buns weren't as satisfying as I hoped. There's barely any meat and what you can taste is alright. The taro and pineapple buns/breads were a little bit better but maybe that's because sweet bread is easier to enjoy. Overall, not bad but I'd check out the other bakeries first before I'd circle back to this one

Yelp
We landed on our red eye to Boston and wanted something that really was going to hit the spot. I love dim sum and so does the family so this place had great reviews. We ordered a variety of dishes: crispy shrimp rolls, bean curd rolls, shrimp dumplings, shumai, shrimp and chive dumplings, and fried donut wrapped in rice noodle rolls. The crisply shrimp rolls had great fresh shrimp with a crisply outside. The bean curd rolls had just the right amount of saltiness along with the fact that the bean curd was rolled well. The shrimp dumplings while the shrimp was fresh I wish the wrapping was thinner. The shumai was nicely made with no tendons/chewy bits, just how I like it. The shrimp and chive dumplings were deliciously chivey and this time the wrapping itself was thin enough. Lastly, the fried donut with rice noodle roll had a great sweet soy and a good combo of crispy and thin rice roll wrapping. Overall, I would definitely visit this place if you're in the mood for good dim sum.

Yelp
I've been back to this bakery a few more times since my initial review. It's still not my favorite option in Chinatown, but they do have a solid variety of pastries and other baked goods. It's very no frills, so don't expect too much in the way of ambiance or vibes. The service isn't great, either, and it's just counter service As for the baked goods, I've definitely had better. I've noticed some of the buns had a gritty texture because there was raw sugar sprinkled on the inside, rather than mixed in with the other ingredients. They can also tend to be a bit more on the oily side. I did enjoy some of their mochi-based pastries, which had a smoother consistency and a decent flavor. I don't think I'll bother to come back here anymore, since I haven't been impressed after multiple visits.

Yelp
Worth going if you're in the area. Our Christmas Day tradition is Chinese food. We've had uneven experiences since moving to New England, and I'm happy to report that this year things were a little better at Great Taste. Getting a table is a little confusing, as you enter on the bakery side and basically need to find someone and tell them you plan to have dim sum. Once we did things were fine. Service is generally fast and very pleasant. We got an assortment of dim sum items and some more westernized things, like the mixed sautéed veggies and pork fried rice. Some standouts included the fried turnip cake and the rice steamed in lotus leaves. These would compare favorably to similar things we've had while eating dim sum in Washington, DC and NYC. We also had some rice rolls--both with fresh and dried shrimp; the fresh were nice, the dried not as successful. I like that the tea comes to the table immediately upon sitting down. Some places do this and some don't. The fact that this place does made it feel like being at home in NYC. It's a small place with a small dining room. You could try and call ahead for a table but I don't know if it would really help. Parking will also be...interesting. (It's Boston, after all. The entire act of getting around will be interesting.)
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
3.5 iykyk I low key gate kept this as my favorite dim sum in Boston. If this were tapas it would be over hyped and possibly cost 5x more. The bakery that's connected is also solid and so the baked items along with savory dim sum dishes make this place a must go for dim sum. While it's hard to compete with bigger city quality and price such as LA, SF, or NY, Boston is getting there as more competition and demand for good quality value food is growing. With that said, there's been a lot of gentrification going on in Chinatown and I hope some of the long time staples stay where they are and continues to imprint that makes Boston's Chinatown unique and worth visiting.

Dana L.

Yelp
We went here on a weekday (Monday) and it was not packed with people but the lady kept rushing my mother and I to pick something. We ended up buying 2 fruit cakes. We ate it the next day and there was MOLD inside. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. CALL THE HEALTH INSPECTORS Their "smoothie" drink isn't a smoothie. It's just a nasty powder drink mixed with warm water tossed with literally 5 pieces of ice. If they end up shutting down and go bankrupt, that is definitely their karma.
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
The place may seem like a small hole in the wall but serves some solid dim sum. The other side of the restaurant is their bakery sidec where you can buy some pastries. We only ordered a small selection of items as we wanted to get some other stuff afterward. The food came out slowly as they prepared them fresh to order. I definitely enjoyed my congee and the beef meatballs.
google avatar

Bre B.

Yelp
Horrible food. Noodles were dried up and could not eat. No sauce. They did not have any duck so we ordered shrimp chow mein. Over salted. The crab rangoons were edible but tasted 100% like cream cheese and looked like plain cream cheese. The spring rolls were crisp but had hardly anything inside. . Slimey veggies. Best part of the meal was the watery tea lots of leaf floating tea. Should be renamed No Great Taste Restaurant

Yelp
Love the dim sum here. The restaurant is small and crowded. There is usually a wait for a table, but don't let that deter you. The dim sum is worth it. The restaurant does not serve from traditional rolling carts. Instead, you mark what you want on a paper copy of the menu. Not familiar with what to order? No problem, there are picture menus at the table so you can see and order by number. I like this method of ordering because the food is prepared to order so you will get your items "hot" from the kitchen. I am a connoisseur of dim sum. This is a little gem that is authentic and above average. I really enjoyed their flat white noodles items. The texture of the noodles was soft and tender. The Shrimp Cheung Fun and the Steamed Pork Noodle Rolls showcased these. The Siu Mai and Tofu Skin Pork dumplings were bigger than normal and were good. My other favorites were the Shrimp and Chive dumplings. They are different from traditional Haw Gow and I like the way the chives provided accent to the shrimp. Soup Balls, Gai Lan, and Lotus Leaf Wrapped Sticky Rice rounded out our visit.

Yang Z.

Yelp
I'm not going back. The waiter was rude. They made me sit next to a public toilet. I don't agree. Give me another seat near the kitchen. I have two young children, and I don't know what they want to do to us. Stinky Face didn't smile the whole time. Like I owe him something and I don't really want to eat anymore, you know 不会再去,服务员态度恶劣。一会让我坐厕所旁边的位置一会让我坐厨房旁边的位置。我带着两小孩,不知想要怎样折腾我们。全程臭脸一点笑容没有。像我欠他什么似的,看着他们臭脸一点都没胃口。

Yelp
On a Friday noon, a friend and I decided to get lunch before heading back to work. Despite the restaurant looking packed, we received seating immediately, though a line formed immediately after. We ordered the 7 following items, all of which managed to disappoint - shrimp rice roll / 蝦腸粉 - Chinese broccoli / 芥蘭 - marinated chicken feet / 鳳抓 - shrimp dumpling / 蝦餃 - chive & shrimp dumpling / 韭菜蝦餃 - congee / 粥 - shumai / 燒賣 - tripe w/scallion and ginger / 牛百葉 The shrimp in the shrimp rice roll, shrimp dumplings, and chive & shrimp dumplings had a powdery exterior mouthfeel and tasted like refrigerator burn. In addition, the dumplings' exterior wrappings had hardened; they did not possess the expected springy texture. The Chinese broccoli arrived cold. The skin on the marinated chicken feet had no fluff; eating it felt like skinning a hide. The congee had insufficient broth flavor and tasted watery and thin. The top of the shumai seemed to have freezer burn; it had dried out and hardened. Lastly, the tripe had insufficient scallion and ginger flavor. More egregiously, the bottom had hidden fried tofu filler. I would actively warn others against going here.

Yelp
I arrived here on a Friday night expecting it to be a bit more crowded than it actually was. It took a little while for the staff to notice that we were waiting for a table, but we were eventually given some seats next to the bakery section of the building. There's nothing super special about the interior of the restaurant, it gives a very mom and pop vibe and can be a bit rough around the edges. We ordered a few dim sum dishes to split - my absolute favorites being the fried rice noodle (which was super unique and had such interesting textures) and the molten custard buns (which were super sweet and the perfect dessert to end your evening). The other dishes we tried like the bbq pork buns, shrimp dumplings, etc. were pretty standard, but not bad at all. Overall, I enjoyed every dish I ate here but I wouldn't rush back to visit again anytime soon and I've definitely had better dim sum in the area.

Yelp
I tried their Portuguese egg tarts with my friend. They were good! We were fortunate to try the dim sum as well. I'm a sucker for the molten egg custard buns. We also had shrimp and chive, pork and shrimp, and the long shrimp dumplings. So good! Service was nice and it's a nice cozy place for Sunday dimsum :)

Yelp
Touring the area & got caught in the rain so I wondered into this bakery with an attached restaurant. Cozy little spot with lots of food/desert options. Ordered the Hometown vermicelli & pork dumpling & both were so flavorful. I would definitely dine here again if ever in town. Took my leftovers to go. Service was prompt and welcoming. Give them a try.

Yelp
Very authentic, hole in the wall dim sum restaurant! Food here is made to order instead of the dim sum carts, so all the food comes out very hot and fresh. The service is also very efficient. Highly recommend the taro spare ribs, XO fried turnip cakes, egg tarts, shrimp noodle rows, and the molten egg yolk lava buns. The restaurant is a bit small, but there are ~2 big tables and you can call ahead for reservations. This place is my go-to for dim sum in the Boston area!

Yelp
Love love love this place! We eat dim sum in every major city we visit, and none have lived up to this one. The food is incredible and fresh. The service is efficient. This is a whole in the wall, with no cart service, but because of this, all the food is made to order. Worth a visit.

Yelp
DIM SUM ALL DAY!!! Good food for a good price! Tasted pretty good and I was surprised to be able to eat dim sum for dinner. They also make decent cantonese food, so if you're looking for a satisfying canto meal, check this place out! Not a five star because I think if you look a bit harder you can find a slightly better dim sum/cantonese food place. Nonetheless this place was yummy and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Great place for baked goods, dim sum, and dinner! There is a chef that my family knows very well. He makes great Szechuan fish with pickled mustard greens (also known as suan cai yu). It's not on the menu, but we buy our own fresh/live fish from the market and he makes this dish for us. SO good! The food is always fresh and cooked well.

Yelp
4 stars because I deducted 1 star as prices were increased by a lot. Pork buns price was fair, but the moon cakes and sticky rice Doong were tasty but pricey. Baos were good and not overpriced.
