The vegetarian options here are surprisingly good. Fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying without feeling like an afterthought. Definitely worth checking out if you're meat-free or just in the mood for something lighter.I’ve been coming here for a while now and I’ve never been disappointed. The service is always quick and friendly, and the place is clean and welcoming. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and you can tell they put care into what they do. Definitely one of my go-to spots when I want something satisfying. Highly recommend!

Good food but sometimes it's under cooked. The service is poor someimes they are definitely rude to the customers.

The food is always messed up no matter what I order the delivery guys are rude and don’t get out the vehicle the drivers over charge you so they can get a tip so the store will tell you one price the drives will add $5 to the price WILL NEVER RETURN MY SERVICES THERE FRIES ARE HARD AS A BRICK

Bought a large order from here and it gave my family food poisoning. They must have contaminated my food. We are all sick throwing up after eating this.

I don't know why this place has low scores on the review. I am writing this one while warming up the fried rice to eat. I ordered 2 trays of chicken fried rice and beef lo mien for my child birthday party last Saturday. I chose this restaurant because it is only 10 mins from my house. They gave me 2 big trays of food. Both are tasty and good, not salty (maybe I requested them less sodium lol). One thing I don't like is that they ask you to pay by cash. Even they have an ATM inside but it is not convenient if you use credit cards only.

Pretty good Chinese food. Cash only is always an issue for me but when I'm craving really good chicken wings, this is my go to. Local for me. Standard fare but as I've said pretty good. They're always busy and moving, the food has no time to get stale. Their lo mein, wings, rice, moo shoo and chicken and broccoli are always delicious. Service is rushed a bit, but if you simply observe, the phone continuously rings. It's a high pressure, high demand environment for them. I understand them with empathy. They're not rude just not friendly. The establishment is always clean. A bit above the average chinese food for me.

I ordered my food at 8p.m I didn't receive my food until after 10p.m.. It was cold and I had to warm it up in my microwave!!! NEVER AGAIN!! Mind you I only live 3 mins away

Solid Chinese food here especially for this area. There are not many good Chinese food places around here. I ordered the sesame chicken combination dinner and it actually came with some white meat pieces. I was expecting only dark meat! What I'd change: the fried rice was just rice with nothing else in it like peas or pork and the egg roll had an odd flavor to it. Probably old frying oil if I were to guess. The price was typical for a dinner, but you can get a lunch combo for under $6!

I don't like this place. Customer service is disgusting. One day I come in with my debit card and Apple Pay because since this pandemic places been more cashless. I moved to Newark from nyc and they said they only took cash. Lucky for me I had some cash but was short .50 Cents, just cause of that they wouldn't give me my food. I found that to be disgusting, because what if that's all I really had? This why these days I give out change to less fortunate cause you just never know. This place shouldn't be open

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! They will gyp you out of your money, when you complain about their service they don't accept accountability for their mistakes, they don't give you your money back even if you check your order in front of them. Poor customer service is going to get this place closed down.

They have great good the make it faast too usually ready within 15 min. I usually order shrimp lo mein and wings

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I'm always pleased with my meal at any given moment whatever I order.

This use to be my favorite spot to order food but this place is a scam. They charged me a delivery fee twice. Told me one price on the phone and gave me a different price upon delivery. The guy in the car actually waited for the extra quarter. You can have it. Ridiculous. I'm not ordering from here anymore.

we had beef lomein taste like they just poured thick sauce on noodles with almo no meat. it was really bad. spareribs were with no meat tasted like they were left over. we use to enjoy but has really been disappointing.

Being a vegetarian, I'm happy I have found a decent place to have tried their hunan style fried tofu!

This was the spot to go right after school and still is the best Chinese place in Newark years later! The buffet is very diverse. There is a great selection of food to choose from at a good price. They even have specials during certain times of the year. Family fave :)

I called 3 times . Each time they told me my food was on it's way . I ordered at 10:20 pm & at 11:12 pm I still have no food .

Their food is SO delicious! I would honestly take this Chinese spot over Wok II any day! Their food tastes way better in my opinion.

Had to give one star but i would give 0. Absolutely terrible service. I called to make a delivery and first asked if they delivered to my address. Im not from this city and have not ordered chinese since moving out here. The girl didnt even answer my question and then said "uhhh... What else do i need.. Your phone number". She sounded like she had no clue what she was doing. Then after placing my order, the delivery man comes and refused to meet me at my front steps. Taking my keys with me to get a delivery is not something i want to do. This idiot would not bother to get out of his car or even roll down his window to speak to me and see that i was not wearing shoes or had my keys and had cash on hand ready with more than 50% tip. He drove off with my order. Lets make it clear that it was the middle of the day on a quiet street. A very careless business.

Nasty ppl and they dont wash their hands after using restrooms...2 employees did it and coughing over food!

Haven't had Chinese in a while so coming back home and being able to eat Chinese food is a plus for me. I ordered some food for my family and it was shocking how good it was. The parking lot in which the establishment is on is "Shotty" at best but I would let that deter you from stopping in.

Grrrrreat Wall is definitely one of the best Chinese take out places in the area hands down. Its family owned, the prices are reasonable and the food is good, they don't use MSG which is definitely a plus. The negatives: no real space to eat in if you wanted to, and the parking is a little limited (shallow end of the pool stuff) Bottom line you can feed a family of 4 for under 25 bucks, eat hardy too. If your leery of certain take out spots ,this is NOT one of them. ENJOY!

So foolish I ordered at 10:30 but now they're closed and I didn't get my food and now I'm stuck hungry

First off, the link present on this page is not for this restaurant. Second, i unfortunately can not write a review of the food, the drive refused to actually make the delivery. After placing my order the driver called to say that they had arrived. I went downstairs to eagerly greet my well anticipated food, only to find no one at my doorstep. i walked out onto my porch and shielded my eyes from the day s glare, thinking surely I must not have been duped? "The delivery man just called" I thought to myself. I looked to my left and right to no avail. Finally a few houses down i noticed there was a car running. Did i think this was odd, surely this, could not possibly have been my delivery? I called out to the vehicle, and the driver nodded, but offered little else. After short exchange were I notified the driver that i unfortunately had no shoes on, and could he please come meet me at the stairs. I was told that was my problem and he quickly drove away.... Worst CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
