Great Wall Restaurant

I decided to try Great Wall Chinese food late at night, craving a New York classic—fried chicken wings and pork fried rice. Unfortunately, the experience was a bit underwhelming. The rice was undercooked, which really took away from the dish, though the chicken wings were decent. They weren’t anything special, but they got the job done. Overall, it wasn’t the worst, but it definitely wasn’t the best either. If you’re in a pinch, it might work, but I’d probably look elsewhere next time.

Got shrimp fried rice and it was gross and by gross I mean like shrimp fried vomit. The shrimp smelled rank. I threw up after 2 bites. Poured the sauce I got with the wontons which they were really good but it didn’t help. So bad my dog wouldn’t eat it and I’ve seen her eat a cat turd before.

I have had better microwave meals, really. Everything was very rubbery just like it had been cooked in the microwave. The chicken look like it just came out of a can labeled chicken breast. Everything was pretty much flavorless. I have been in 15 states in the last 12 months and have eaten Asian food at each one and I'm sorry to say this is the worst Asian food I have had in America

For the price and taste, I'd order from here again. The steamed dumplings were delicious and huge. The lo mein was tasty, but the meat and veggies were light. A solid 4.

Everything ordered came out fresh, flavorful and very good. The Seafood delight was loaded with seafood. Enjoyed the crab Rangoon, could actually tell there was imitation crab in it and not just a cream cheese wonton and was completely filled. Chicken with the sweet and sour chicken was tender and juicy. The rice was cooked perfectly.

The spring rolls were my favorite Crab Rangoon is good as well as the sauce. Orange chicken with white rice was called the Bento box very subtle orange flavor if you have a low tolerance for spice then it might be a little spicy But in general it is not spicy. The pork lo mein was ok.

Not only is the curry beef good and spicy but they pack the food into the containers. Three of us got three meals and all of us have a full meal for another day. The delivery was short as well and the food arrived piping hot. We will eat here again!

Delivery was fast and the food came hot and delicious! I would order again. Ordering delivery on their website will save you a lot of money versus using DoorDash.

It's a hole in the wall with great take out. There isn't a lot of seating so be prepared to eat this in the car or back at home. I'm pretty critical about Asian cooking based on my upbringing and I have yet to be disappointed when I visit this location. I've had it door dashed with no issue and I've picked it up. Both great experiences. It's the food that keeps me coming back. Sweet and sour chicken, general, lo mein, rangoons, cashew chicken did not miss. Didn't love the sesame chicken. Maybe it's just me and my wife. It's worth giving a shot. Good people. Fair prices.

Ordered Chicken fried rice and they used yellow rice (wasn't advised it would be yellow rice) and it tasted terrible. I ate only one forkful before trashing it. The chicken was a really white color. Not appetizing at all. The spring rolls were oozing with grease. Won't eat here again.

Been coming here for years and never had an issue! Takeout is recommended! Food is great!

Always friendly staff always excellent food my favorite is the sweet and sour chicken and the lemon chicken. Always courteous delivery drivers keep up the good work guys

Got food delivered today thru Menufy driver was on time food was better than it was years ago when my mom and I ordered food from here years ago. Will definitely order again.

I do like this place. Your food is actually made while you wait in big woks with fresh ingredients. You won't find any pre-made food or heat lamps here. My two favorites are Singapore rice noodles and hot & sour soup. Although the food is fantastic the people who work there seem very aloof and indifferent to their customers. I'm not giving them five stars just for this. When I'm giving someone my money for a product or service, it's nice to feel appreciated. I don't get that feeling here. Instead I feel like I'm annoying them. The food is amazing though and worth a trip. When I think about Chinese buffet, I go here instead. There aren't any good Chinese buffets in Wichita anymore and although this isn't a buffet, it's the next best thing.

So far in my 3 visits to this place, I have liked everything I've ordered. I get the rice noodles with chicken...it's my "thing". The eggrolls are good as are the fried dumplings. Nothing spectacular, but I will continue to go there and get my convenient rice noodle fix.

Walked in about 8pm last night and was treated pretty rudely, the guy at the counter acted like he couldn't hear me, had to ask a question three times before he told me that they didn't serve what the other Great Wall on Pawnee did, he then went promptly back to his paperwork. Can't review the food because I was so irritated at how I was blown off that I didn't want to waste my money there. Customer service leaves much to be desired.

Fresh, tasty, and consistent are what you can expect from this location. In town visiting after moving away and had to get my hot sour soup and egg roll fix. They've remodeled making for a more comfortable dining in experience. I was hesitant at first because it seems like there's a whole new crew but they didn't disappoint! Give them a try!

Great Chinese place. We always use them for delivery. Food is cooked fresh. Delivered in a short time and always by friendly people. We have never had a bad meal from them. Highly recommend!

Very good inexpensive fast Chinese food. The Kung pao shrimp & chicken with garlic sauce is very yummy. At 5.15 for their lunch specials, it's definitely worth checking out the south Seneca location.

Best Kung Po Chicken in Wichita. They also deliver and are very quick in getting the food to you.

We placed an order over the phone & gave a credit card. When the driver showed up he asked for cash. I told him I had paid with a card over the phone, he called the store & handed me his phone to speak with a woman with the world's worst customer service skills. Instead of addressing the issue, she was obsessed with arguing over whether or not the person who took the order originally was a female. WHO CARES WHO TOOK THE ORDER. President Obama himself could have taken the order, all I cared about was making sure the card was not double charged. While crazy pants on the phone was babbling about someone being a female, the deliver driver got what I was saying & returned from his car with a receipt...Surprise! Not only did they not process the credit card payment at the time it was given, they wrote the credit card number down on the back of the receipt which the delivery driver had in his car. At no point in time should anyone in a restaurant ever write down your credit card number and take it with them. EVER. NEVER EVER. NEVER. I'll never order from this store again. Not because the lady I talked to was bat$#%@ insane, but because their practice of writing down random people's card #s and taking them with them will eventually lead to someone's card being compromised. Steamed dumplings are not worth the headache.
