Make sure to continue to support them during the construction on Broadway. Ordered online for pay and pickup in store. Order was ready when I arrived a little early. I have a 17 minute drive home, and had to do a few things before sitting down to eat. FOOD WAS STILL STEAMING!! 25 minutes from pickup, was affordable and tasted great. They did not include my sweet and sour sauce for my rangoons so that was unfortunate. Would eat here again!

First time there. Ordered Szechuan beef. Absolutely incredible. Great spice, lots of beef, lots of veggies, egg roll, fried rice. Huge order. Friendly people, 5 minutes in the wok and I was out the door. No doubt I'll be going back

My wife was having surgery at mayo and after seeing the cafeteria options I decided to door dash. I ordered the lunch special of General Tsos chicken with beef lo mein and an egg roll. I’ve never had delivery food arrive that hot, it was incredible. Everything was delicious. I’m a 6’1 220 Lb weight lifter who eats ALOT. It’s very very rare I can’t finish a meal. The portions are Insanely big, I think I ate 1/2 of it and will be eating the next half in a couple hours haha. Probably the best delivery meal I’ve ever had!

My sister’s first time getting food from this place. She’s been trying to find a good buffet style type of restaurant. She got take out and the process was fairly easy, and the scent instantly filled my car up (it was delicious). The amount was WAY more than expected, it was around $20 and happy with the amount. She said the noodles and fried rice was delicious.

Pleasant surprise ! First time trying your restaurant, hate that I haven’t been coming here before, excellent fresh food, best Chinese I have tried in town. The dinner specials for 11.95 include fried rice and egg roll, large portions of really great food! Will have two meals from this! Great bargain, great taste, we will definitely be back soon, not only that we are telling all our friends and family about this hidden gem. Thank you!

It always baffles me that this place isn't wall to wall full. It's quite good food at an EXTREMELY reasonable price. The portions are outrageous, it's quick, and yummy. My husband and I would split one entree and still have leftovers for lunch. We always did takeout after a busy day at work and it was such a nice treat they do not skimp on the best parts of any dish ever.

The original owner retired/sold the business 6 years ago. Our family has been doing take out from Great Wall on our many Mayo Clinic trips since 2000. Tonight was the first time with the new owner. I asked the wife to recommend a VERY flavorful dish. She recommended the garlic beef ( I wanted beef). It was outstanding and the BEST in Rochester. The seasoning was a 4.5 - - excellent blending of different spices creating a WONDERFULLY delicious light brown sauce, subtle garlic flavor, with Plenty of zucchini, broccoli, little green pepper, onions, mushrooms, bamboo shoots and I opted out of carrots/received more broccoli. Also rare in Chinese restaurants - - the dish was prepared with lots of sauce thus giving the dish even more flavor. Everything was very nicely chopped up in bite size pieces - - super piping hot! If the meat had first been deeply cooked in the brown sauce, and if the pork fried rice had a bit more soy sauce and flavor, I would have given them a Rochester "5". Over the years (25) I have tried a few other chinese restaurants here, and always come back to Great Wall. ( Grew up north of NYC and always ate in Chinatown.) The vegetables are always plentiful, varied fresh delicious. Portion of beef was also very good. EXCELLENT value and quality of ingredients. Restaurant has always been extremely well maintained and clean. It is worth driving over to get it so amazingly hot! Enjoy!!

Picked up takeout. The ingredients looked and tasted very fresh. Huge portions! I'm 6'3", 260 and it took me two nights to finish my moo goo gai pan. Great food!

Good size portions, fast service and very hot food. I ordered the bourbon chicken dinner and definitely enough for three meals for me. Food has always been hot when I order it here ahead of time and very good service.

My go-to chinese place in Rochester. The Mei Fun, aka Singapore Rice Noodles, is delicious and spicy with plenty of protein. Lunch Special is a great value- soup, rangoons, rice & entree for about $9

The food is always hot and fresh. I have asked for veggie substitutes and have received them no extra charge. The staff are always pleasant and quick getting orders processed. The restaurant is clean and well lit. We usually take out but it would be a nice place to enjoy a hot meal close to downtown Rochester.

Ordered the sesame chicken (dinner special). It came with pork fried rice and 2 crab ragoons. The crab ragoons were very, very sweet. I didn't like them but if you like them sweet, you will love these. The rice was absolutely flavorless. The sesame chicken was ok. It was a typical sesame chicken that could have come from any Chinese food restaurant. Nothing special. I don't think I will be back. 3 stars is generous.

My wife would disagree but this place is the best Chinese in Rochester. I have never been disappointed with an order and we've ordered out more then I feel comfortable sharing. Strongly recommend the generals or sesame chicken. Fried rice is wonderful along with the crab Rangoons and egg rolls!

The food is pretty good but the place is a dump. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was that the soda machine was out of order and the air conditioning was not working as it was supposed to. It was stuffy inside. The bathroom was nasty and had shoe prints on the toilet seat. Our table was sticky, so I had to clean it myself after we sat down. However, the girl working the front was working hard and the service was friendly. The place just seemed dirty and unkempt.

This is our go to for Chinese takeout! Everything we have tried is good. I usually get the Hunan vegetables with bean curd (tofu) and my husband likes the mei fun beef. The hot and sour soup is also really tasty! The spicy dishes are just spicy enough for our tastes. And we always have enough left over for a second meal.

This is the best all-around Chinese restaurant in Rochester. And it's the best value of any restaurant, by far. It's a shame the current owners--friendly, efficient, skilled--are saddled with Yelp history of the former owners--unfriendly, plodding, indifferent--and their cooks always had the expressions of long-term, abused POW's. Try this place before it becomes overwhelmed. Restaurants with good food always win out here but it takes awhile.

We previously thought our favorite Chinese food was in Texas. However, this was hands down the best we have ever had. General Tao's chicken......OMG! Best ever! And the portions are HUGE. Crab Rangoon was to die for......The egg rolls were also BEST EVER so we had to order many more egg rolls the next day to go with our leftovers. What a wonderful last couple meals before surgery! Thank u for making our presurgery stress go away! Happy happy happy!

This place has always been a bit of a hidden gem in Silver Lake Plaza, but they've made some nice improvements to their online ordering making it even more convenient to get authentic Chineses dishes, especially for carry out during COVID-19. The portions are generous and everything is made and ready within minutes. Great lunch and dinner values too!

Ordered through Uber eats and food was on time, fresh and hot. We ordered the wonton soup, lo mein and sesame chicken dinner combo. So much food for the price and tasty. Only downfall is that we didn't know we had to pay extra and order sauce for the crab Rangoon and egg roll. Most places come with at least 1 packet.

Best Chinese food in town with great food specials. You can order in advance for pick up and pay in advance or when you pick up. Very good Covid-19 protection and also had hand sanitizer available if you needed some when you pick up in window.

I just order sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoons it was horrible :-( was super greasy and the crab rangoons which I love were awful no filling and drenched in oil I threw everything away... this was my favorite place for Chinese but I will have to look for a better place. I think it's new management (notice there was different people very nice though)everything has changed even containers fortune cookies almost expired pop.... wish I could give no stars. I hope they fix these problems.

Small, and the selection in the buffet does not match up to larger restaurants, but the food and value are both terrific. They offer a daily 11AM-1:30PM lunch buffet for $5.99, and that includes a soft drink of your choice. The staff is friendly, and this is a great place to stop for a quick, delicious, and very reasonably-priced Chinese buffet.

Great Wall is a fantastic but often overlooked restaurant. The food is super cheap, delicious, and the portion sizes are huge. The staff is awesome, they are always super nice. Be sure to try the lunch buffet (5.99 including a drink).

Best Chinese food in town, hands down! I've tried just about everywhere else when they were shut down for 6 months, thank god they reopened!!! Best hangover food.

Cheap buffet is the biggest positive. $7 for all you can eat lunch is a great deal. Passable food but will not go back for seconds at this low end Chinese establishment.

This is one of the lower end Chinese places in town. Also it was cash only when I went. I will not be going back since it seems pretty low end.

I've eaten at worse places...but not many. The only reason I would ever want to come back to this place is if I wanted to know for certain where my next bout of diarrhea was coming from. It is cheap, which is the best and only compliment I can give. At least you can't really screw up the soda, either. *

For over a year now I have been searching for a good Chinese food restaurant. Have tried all the other ones in town and yuuckkk! Being from California I am used to having a huge variety of good food and that's hard to find in this town. His place is definitely the only good Chinese food in town. Hands down.!

We ended up here while in town for basketball tournament. Food was very fresh, tasty, and a good value. We had the sesame beef with chicken fried rice. Veggies were crisp, not soft and soggy. Portions were huge. We barely made a dent. I had the veggie delight. Lots of variety of veggies and again crunchy. Served hot and fast!

I ordered take out on a whim because it was near the neighborhood. Couldn't be happier that I stumbled across this place! Really friendly staff and the food was certainly made to order - everything tasted very fresh and hadn't been sitting under a warmer like other places I've been to around Rochester.
