if i could leave a 0 STAR review i would. my boyfriend ordered our food from here and im highly disappointed. i got white rice w a side of shrimp and broccoli. i took about 2 bites and noticed a piece of hair on the fork and in my rice. i’m upset that we spent damn near $40 in total on both of our meals in exchange for these people not even being the slightest bit of sanitary. please do not order from here. this place is disgusting .

First time was disappointed. Tasted the chicken and broccoli this time and it tasted like solely corn Starch . I couldn't taste anything else but massive corn Strach it was sooo thick much more than usual. Usually it's a light sauce. Was disappointed because I ordered for a large group who felt the same about their dishes who has never eaten here before.

First time, last time. Ordered General Taos with white rice and broccoli. I also ordered fried dumplings . My wife ordered shrimp with mixed vegetables and white rice. We both ordered a coke. First, when I got home I realized they didn’t put the cokes in the bag. Had to drive all the way back. The worker said (as she laughed), “I forgot, you forgot”. No I didn’t forget. Then the food: the General Taos chicken was completely dry and hard….and mostly batter. I don’t know what was in the dumplings, but they were not pork and they were small and flimsy. The sauce for the shrimp was too thick and had no flavor. My wife did like the rice, so they have that going for them. Lastly, they charged .75 for an extra dumpling sauce. Go at your own risk….

This place is horrible they have people sleeping inside the place. The lady behind the counter is very nasty. I would recommend this place to my worst enemy if you look at the reviews they are from people who actually there it's extremely nasty

Food was completely garbage. Everything tasted horrible fried chicken was raw broccoli and chicken was very watery and mushy rice was too over cooked $80 for complete garbage. Tried getting a refund about the food and they was giving me a very big attitude and a hard time didn’t even enjoy it threw it away. Literally couldn’t even take another bite. Do not eat here. I rather eat frozen pizza than this garbage place

It's a great restaurant! I think it's one of the best takeaways in Stamford. It is necessary to queue up for up to 5 minutes. I order chicken wings and pork fried rice every day. The atmosphere is good and the hygiene is also very good!

Time to leave my experience.... Stopped in with low expectations. Ordered a Shrimp with broccoli in garlic sauce. Went back to my office and not one person passed and did not ask what I was eating and where I got it. The food taste a food as it smelled. So delicious and fresh. Went back a few days later and ordered sesame chicken lunch special. Delicious. Perfect spot for fresh local Chinese food at a very decent price... Very Friendly customer service too.

Sub Par Basic Chinese Processed High MSG food... I ordered the chicken fried rice and the order in which I picked up on time. The chicken was cold, Slimy Pale White, And Raw... Fried Chicken wings were horrible and greasy...Rubbery although I requested well done crispy and Super Steroid Big in Size... They provide food catered to Low Income Individuals. They also charge $1.00 for a small side of sweet and sour sauce. The foreign guy who rings up your order seems depressed and miserable with no smile on his face to greet customers.... Spend 1-3 Dollars more and buy elsewhere where you can get fresh good quality, less oily processed food. Definitely Do Not Recommend.

Terrible service !!! They messed up our order and although we called and left messages all afternoon to get our correct order or a refund , they ignored all our calls and kept sending us to VM. Will never order again! I am a vegetarian and they send me chicken. Needless to say I did not eat a bite of it. I wish they would at least replace or refund, as mistakes do happen, not just ignore the problem!!!

I ordered the General Tso's tofu with brown rice and steamed broccoli. About half way into the meal, I noticed there were a few long black hairs in the broccoli. Instead of discarding the meal, I set the broccoli container to the side and continued. Lol; there was another hair in my rice. To conclude the evening, I was drenched in sweat with significant abdominal pain and tossing my cookies. Considering this, the place is affordable and convenient. Order at your own discretion. :D

They can be hit or miss some times. Nothing mind blowing, but usually they are good. I like their fried 1/2 chicken, french fries, pork fried rice, chicken and broccoli and chicken egg foo young. Two comments; I wish they were more consistent because all of these items mentioned, when they are good they are tasty. Be aware they are priced about average for the area which isn't that cheap. They do deliver rather quickly even on the weekends. I recommend them if you near the downtown Stamford area or close enough for delivery. Grab some lunch or dinner and try them for yourselves.

Customer service is always friendly and also the food is fresh. I love the healthy specials and the fried scallops.

Order chicken and broccoli and pepper steak and the half chickin everything was not eatable I had to literally spit out the chicken and broccoli steak was mushy the fried chickin had zero seasoning and overcooked DO NOT EAT HERE

Best boneless spare ribs you'll find in town. Fair pricing and great flavor. Mei fun is tasty too. Love cheese wontons, prefer with duck sauce over their option. Lovely customer service.

Food is pretty good here. I ordered a simple chicken and Broccoli with brown rice. The reason for the 2 stars, I don't feel safe there. Lots of dirty homeless/drug induced people in front of the store asking you to buy them a meal. For this reason, I will not return.

Awful Chinese food - nothing is right. The wonton wrap is as thick as cardboard boxes, the soup has no flavor. The Lo mein doesn't have much flavor, either. Very very very very disappointing.

Ah Great Wall. Honestly this place looks like a dump from the outside. Looking at the sign and well the surrounding few stores you would expect this place to be pretty grimy inside, but that would just be like every other chinese takeout place. Surprisingly though, when you step inside this place, it is actually quite clean and even has a fish tank with parrot fish in it. I have been here a couple of times for lunch. There's a pretty good list of lunch specials and like all other chinese places it's not too expensive. Pretty much on par with other Chinese take out places, but the great thing is this place doesn't charge extra for brown rice. This isn't something you would except in well Stamford... That was a nice surprise for me. Lastly the food isn't crazy heavy and actually taste quite good. Definitely my go-to spot for Chinese take out in Stamford.

Really good and inexpensive Chinese!!! Delivery is ridiculously quick. I've had the Mongolian Beef, pork wantons, a cheese wonton and Kung poa (sp) chicken. All really good.

I hate giving this place 2 stars but really this place could be so much better. They really seem like they put minimal effort into their food or just want to save as much money as possible, which I do understand since their prices are pretty low but I've definitely had Chinese food that was as cheap, but tasted way better. First off, their fried rice really sucks. I don't know why Chinese takeout places cannot make good fried rice, but I'd be ok with subpar fried rice. Unfortunately, this place does not achieve even subpar status. Their fried rice is literally yellow rice with bits of whatever meat you ordered. That's it. For the lunch combo, I got it with Wonton Soup and the trend continued. The soup was literally just white soup with 3 wontons. The wontons themselves had meat the size of a skittles in the wonton. Soup was decently flavorful but the wontons were inedible since there was just so much wonton dough. I got Kung Pao Chicken and the vegetables were decent and they gave a decent amount of chicken, but the flavor was really lacking and there wasn't much sauce. On a positive note, I did check out another person's order of saucy wings and honestly, they looked pretty good. Maybe the way to go here is to order from the fried food menu section and not the Chinese dishes. We'll see if I go back and give it another shot.

This is gonna be our first and last order of food here at this restaurant. You could do better than what you are serving. Please improve the taste and flavors of your food and you will attract more customers.

CHINESE rice is not really CHINESE more of a yellow rice with very little vegetables or chicken pork beef or shrimp they don't put enough of whatever you asked for doesn't really taste like CHINESE food too many short cuts or inexperienced cooks atmosphere is a dive pretty dirty and dingy.

The food is decent here! Close to the NY taste that I'm used to. Staff is super polite!

Fried rice is essentially flavorless, general tso's was gross after about 6 or 7 bites, I could not finish it. Egg roll was more of a spring roll. Not the worst chineese food I have had but I don't think I will order again.

Surprisingly this Chinese food was pretty good the price plus the soda of my meal was a little unexpected it was rather cheap for a Chinese place found in downtown Stamford Connecticut. It's definitely a takeout spot it does have plenty of tables and chairs if you decide to dine in to kill time or eat like a human. I called my order in with no problem and very little hold time. I recommend this place to anybody that's looking for some good Chinese food at a great price I will definitely be returning here and will be recommending my co-workers friends and family that live near and close. The dining area does need some updating but like I mentioned above if you're trying to kill time and eat like a human it's just fine

Best Chinese food in the city I refuse to eat anywhere else unless it's Great Wall , The Service is Great and the Food is amazing I simply won't eat any other Chinese food in the city unless it's Great Wall .

The prices here are low. And the food is representative of that. If you want cheap Chinese food, you'll get it here. I got the sesame chicken and the meat dumplings, among other smaller items. The sesame chicken is far over priced, considering it's 90% breaking surrounding week old chicken. The dumplings are a sad excuse for such. They, also, are 90% starch. I know dumplings and these are not wrapped in wonton. These are "wrapped" in some extremely dough-y substance that turns out very fluffy. And the meat inside is hardly that. It's all ground up and mildly orange colored with no really meat flavor. I'll never be ordering from this restaurant again. The only reason for 2 stars versus 1 is because of the prompt delivery and the fact that he order was correct and I received all sides/packets of sauce and plastic ware necessary. I suggest paying an extra $2 a dish and going with another place. **Update** An hour later after calling them about the order, driving up to the restaurant, waiting in line for twenty minutes and then calmly and very nicely speaking to the man cooking and working the register, I was offered only $12 of my $20 order ($2 being delivery charge and $3 being a TIP I had left), because Yelp Eat24 charges the business 20%. So pretty much their delivery charge and my tip, right? So I should've gotten all of my $17 back, right? Wrong apparently. Worst Chinese restaurant I think I've ever been to/eaten food from. Worst.

In town on business and found them using yelp. Being able to order thru the app was a plus. When I got there to pick up my order, I had to drive around the block a few times to find parking. When I got there, my food was ready and the service was outstanding. When I got back to the hotel, I found the food to be very delicious. The Hunan chicken was flavorful and actually spicy (ordered it spicy). The veggies were crisp and fresh and the chicken was tender. My boneless spare ribs were very good! I'm glad I found them. I will eat there again next time I'm in town.

Food: Just OK. This place will not be blowing away your tastebuds or anything. If you need a quick bite and you don't mind sacrificing service and quality for speed then this is your best bet. Service: Food preparation is usually quick, but don't expect any thing outside of that because you won't get it. From experience, asking to simply add ketchup and hot sauce to an order lead to a lecture on how I should request such things before the lid to my food container is closed. Oh no...you won't see any smiles or engage in friendly small talk here. Atmosphere: Definitely a "take your food to go" type of place. Wether there are the employees kids running around or just the hustle and bustle of people coming in and out, if you want to enjoy your food while also taking a break, take your food else where.

For most Chinese Restaurants I am not really a huge fan but Great Wall has never given me a reason to question their food quality. So I give them 2 thumbs up and hope they keep up the great work!!

Good, cheap food. I got General Tso and a coke for under $10. The chicken was fine. Service was good, I waited less than 10 minutes.

Ordered my food and asked for chopsticks, when they got to my house they forgot the chopsticks so the guy guy drove back to my house just to give me chopsticks without me asking, very much appreciated

I love this place. I order lunch from here at least once a week. The food is always fresh and their delivery is super fast. I love their tofu with broccoli. When asked they'll also make it spicy for you. It's delicious!

Well took an hour for my food to arrive. I order half chicken with pork fried rice. Wings pork fried rice. They refried the chicken so it woukd be hot. Because they took soooo long to deliver which made my chicken hard. Not tasty just not good. I ended up just eating the rice. Shitty dinner tonite. There normally decent but just shit guys unacceptable

Disappointed in the quality of the egg rolls, what Chinese restaurant use frozen egg rolls fry and serve. If you cannot make a basic eggroll, that speaks to the quality of your food. I'm glad I only ordered egg rolls and had to trash only 3 dollars in food

This might be the worst Chinese place I have ever been to. Their rice is just as discussing as the attitude of their workers. They were not willing to accommodate and they were yelling at a customer because the customer did not like the item. Worst experience I have ever had and I do not recommend this place. This is absolutely the worst Chinese place I have ever been to.

If I could give this store a no star it's the worse I called to make an order and the person on the phone was so rude I was placing an order and while I was placing my the asshole on the phone hang up on me because I said I wanted just vegetable

One word: Flavorless. The fried rice had no pork, onions, scallions, eggs or anything else--just plain yellow rice. Yech! The only flavor to the ribs was the gloopy, sticky red sauce. Yech! Nothing good about this food. I was hungry--so I ate. I will not be back, especially with the hard to find parking. I can't recommend.

I really liked the chicken broccoli and the chicken lomein. I ordered a party tray meal that is General Tso's chicken, the delivery was fast to get to my home! The meals were awesome, I really recommend it.

Cheap, and surprising clean for how "hole in the wall" it looks, they will customize your order and have a pretty good amount of traditional Chinese dishes. I get the altered "MaPo Tofu" with pork and it is actually quite tasty.

Placed an order online to be picked up 30 minutes later. When I got there my order was still sitting in the printer and hadn't been started at all! I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food to be made. What's the point of ordering online for pick up if I have to wait Like a person who just walked in the door?

If you want authentic Chinese, go to Chinatown. Chinese take-out is supposed to be cheap, good portions and hit the spot. Great Wall does that. Fat days go (huge) Half fried chicken = $5. Beach season: go steamed chicken and broccoli!
