Google
First time at the Greater Goods Coffee Roaster and my experience was great! We ordered a hot latte and a brewed coffee - both were good and their latte art was impeccable. We got to the coffee shop on a Saturday afternoon. It was super busy but we were able to find a seat and the wait time was not long at all although there was a line in front of the counter. We spent about 2 hours in the store working in our laptop. It was comfy but sometimes it gets a little loud. Overall 4/5. Coffee 4/5. Interior 3/5.

Google
Greater Goods are championing and nurturing the specialty coffee scene in Austin, which I hugely appreciate! They really care about coffee, and provide best in class specialty coffee, paying attention to detail at every aspect of the process, from reverse osmosis filtered water, to a wide range of SCA 80+ scored coffees from different regions and varietals, lightly roasted and served as pour overs, cold brews and a variety of espresso drinks. On top of all that, they have a dedicated training space to help educate the public (and their own baristas) on really smelling and tasting the differences between all of those amazing coffees, offering reasonably priced taste development classes and cupping exercises. Highly recommend for anyone who really wants to taste the flavours of specialty coffee!

So busy! I'd planned to sit an enjoy a cup of coffee "for here" but couldn't find a parking spot or a table, so instead I ordered our coffees to-go while my fiance waited in the car. I suppose that's a testament to the great coffee + pastries! I enjoyed both, and would make this my go-to spot if I were a local.

Google
Austin’s coffee screen is growing by leaps and bounds and roasters like Greater goods are definitely the reason. It’s a nice cozy little coffee shop with great seating and they provide coffee classes as well. The selection is fantastic and they usually have 2 espresso options for espresso and espresso drinks. Their drip was amazing as well. Try it and you won’t be dissatisfied. I’ll recommend the kickstart if you are considering an espresso blend. Plenty of parking out to the side of the store.

Google
Awesome spot! Roasting, great coffee, brewing gear, and even classes are offered here. I would highly recommend it. They serve the coffee on small boards and even give you mineral water to go with the espresso. Really nice touch and I’ll be sure to come back if I’m in the Austin area in the future.

Google
The ambience is great and it’s an amazing cafe. I had their speciality pour over coffees - in my honest opinion it wasn’t the best. They use pour over machines which could impact the taste of the coffee. I understand the need to be efficient behind the bar and while it justifies the core business need, it does not meet or match the customer experience and value that I would hope for from speciality coffee pour overs. I felt my coffees were under extracted and sour. Their milk based drinks are good though. I hope they start serving hand made pour overs so customers can fully experience all the amazing coffee they have.

Google
Their coffees are great and unique! The tiger latte has a great kick and their bourbon latte is different abe pretty tasty. They have gluten free lemon poppy seed muffins that are really good as well. The atmosphere is wonderful but their tables are really small so it is not a great place for groups.

Google
You cannot come to this place and order coffee during open hours. There was no obvious indication prior to heading that way. Top reviews and business overview both describe a coffee shop and bean supplier. If that is not the best representation of the business, it should be clearly stated otherwise. My husband walked in during the middle of a class which is embarrassing but completely avoidable.

Yelp
Greater Goods Coffee Roasters always came off as desperately, and pretentiously narcissistic. I like the coffee but for a few years the prices and ego of the business always left a sour taste in my mouth. But frankly, during the last half of the year, I have to say there is a significant change in the atmosphere of the company!!!! When I found out that the other co owner is less involved, it all clicked. I think Khanh has done a tremendous job in turning around the negative, attention seeking coffee culture of her partner. The difference in vibe is SO obvious and it really is great to see a woman become empowered within her own establishment! It is always moving to see a woman in coffee shine, and I am happy to see that the REAL owner of this business is able to finally flap her wings and do so. Congrats in the great turn around!!!

Yelp
AMAZING COFFEE CUPPING! We came thinking it was a coffee shop, but it is actually just a roaster location. Oddly enough we were right in time for a cupping class and they had room for last minute additions! The class was a great price and we learned a lot! The coffee is excellent! Would come back again!

Yelp
Relieving to see Ms. Trang fully leading in her own company. Looking forward to better days, finally.

Yelp
Didn't even know Greater Goods existed until they hosted the first Cars and Coffee in Drippin'. I arrived early as my car club delegation was heading out from Austin to check out the event. I had one member already accounted for and more incoming when I arrived. Looked like the parking lot had recently been updated. So, mostly a car club review with lots of interesting rides to view along with some Polaris Slingshots. Hmmm, for $27,000 you could have bought a car! Lots of muscle cars; plenty of local folks sharing their love for interests all across the board when it comes to anything with four wheels. Even a few exotics like Ferrari made the show. Mustang owners powered past the entrance twice. At least they didn't wreck! Digs are nice sporting a small playground for the kiddos. Think of Greater Goods mostly as a coffee roaster that happens to sell it's product. I strolled up to the counter inside and ordered a bourbon and ghee latte. Who the heck thinks of that! I'm guessing you'll never find that at that that famous national 'bucks chain. See yall next month for the next event!

Yelp
This place was amazing and their cold brew for the day was awesome! We will be back in town for my sons wedding and will be stopping by for sure!!

Yelp
I enjoyed the Coffee with cars event in July 2019. I saw a lot of cool cars and meet some nice people. The food truck they had provided great food. I had 2 sausage and eggs tacos. Overall great customer service. I made a video of the Coffee with cars event on my channel j7. ENJOY :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmuUYxxxBss

Yelp
This is not much of a coffee shop. Stopped in at 8am on a Thursday and it felt like I was imposing on their roasting business meeting. One small cup coffee - maybe 10oz - was $3. Flavor was pretty good. If you're doing grab and go it's fine. But if you want a coffee shop experience this ain't it at this location.

Yelp
I stopped in because I saw this shop listed as a local dealer for a Baratza grinder I was looking to buy. Staff was super friendly and educated on their products. I accepted their invite to taste some of their coffees, tour the facility, and examine some varieties of their freshly roasted beans. They also showed me some loose leaf tea they recommended. After hearing about the made in-house syrups, I stayed to enjoy a bourbon latte. I left with a couple tins of black and green tea, a couple bags of South American beans, the grinder, and a couple coffee sacks because why not. I returned a few weeks later for a cars and coffee event with my son. He enjoyed seeing the cars, climbing all over the playground, and drinking a tasty hot chocolate. This is more of a production facility than a retail space but there is a coffee shop on site with a few indoor tables and a few picnic tables outside. Kid friendly with the playground. If you're into cars, check out the cars and coffee events. Recommended for good coffee, good times, and good people. La Salina is currently my favorite bean but I look forward to trying many more.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stop here, highlight of Dripping Springs trip! Let's just start with this: the coffee was delicious. Wow. Also, the owner was so nice and accommodating, when I couldn't decide which beans I wanted to buy she ended up giving me three different ones in smaller packages. Also, she chatted with me about my pour over technique and shared with us her very impressive results being a top tier coffee company with socially conscious values. This is mostly a roasting facility with a small coffee shop, but don't let that stop you from stopping by and enjoying!

Yelp
This was the best latte I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. Wow! Really wonderful. I can't wait to come back for another one. Free WiFi and easy parking. It's in an interesting spot and worth checking out. Playground for the kids and outdoor seating available. Check it out.

Yelp
Kudos Khanh & Trey on the Cañada Fria. Without question, the best cup of coffee I've had. Can't believe I spent three years combing the whole country for a good roaster, only to discover America's best was in my back yard. Thanks for your dedication and guidance. Patrick

Yelp
We were looking for a non-chain coffee stop on our drive from Austin to Phoenix and thankfully the map sent us to Greater Goods Coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful offering samples of our preferred roast and had no problem filling our thermos. Great experience.

Kara K.

Yelp
This is seriously the best coffee in the hill country! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, coffee is very fresh and roasted in house, beautiful property, and they have the BEST lattes with housemade syrups with plenty of unique flavor but not overwhelming sweetness. Highly recommend!
