Greco Fast-Casual Greek Restaurant Expands to Boston’s Seaport District | Eater Boston
"Located in the Pier 4 office building next to Tatte, the new Greco (styled GreCo) Seaport is a long, narrow, light-filled fast-casual Greek spot that opens on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. I’d expect the menu to include the gyros, pita, and sweet loukoumas that made the original popular, while expanding with extra coffee options (including freddo cappuccino and espresso) and beer and wine service—the beer being an exclusive private-label draft and the wine sourced from a mom-and-pop producer on Crete that still stomps grapes by hand. The Seaport outpost rolls out an updated loukoumas menu and seasonal items such as a vegan mushroom gyro with caramelized onions, florina peppers, arugula, and truffle oil. Designed by RCON and Boston Design Lab, the 2,800-square-foot space seats about 60 with room for 40 more outside seasonally, features raw materials imported from Greece (marble and limestone), custom furniture, abundant greenery, a large olive-tree mural and several small real trees (olive, fig, citronella), and offers a clear view of the kitchen. It will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; locals can order ahead online or via the app to skip the line, and those after just coffee or loukoumas can head to the beverage and dessert counter to the right of the main register instead of the ordering area to the left." - Dana Hatic
