Greedyman's Bar B Que & Grill Food Truck & Catering

I had the pleasure of trying Greedyman’s out of their truck at a catered lunch event, and although the menu was limited, the selection of apple smoked rib tips, wings, fried fish and a veggie burger was a nice variety. The apple smoke was a bit sweet for my taste but very well cooked. The fried fish was a little small but the breading perfect. The mac and cheese is excellent.

Atmosphere is always a vibe food is always top tier an worth every dollar. I’ve been a lot of places but not to Kansas lol this BBQ is different definitely worth trying.

I was out there for memorial weekend and I found this spot on Google. Definitely felt the southern hospitality from the moment I walked in! The food was AMAZING AND GOOD! The seasoning was spot on! I got the rib tips with fry fish, then I went back the next day and got a turkey burger with a Philly chicken. Their Mac and cheese was also fire! Definitely recommend this place if your by the area. The owner and workers were very patient with me to explain their menu. So shout out to them for going above and beyond!

The place is more of take out but they have one table with 4 chairs if you have to eat something while you're there. The smoked wings with hot and spicy was really good, the potato salad was delicious.. had a different taste but a good different taste, the tips was good and fall off the bone type, the greens was good as well. Overall, I will definitely be back.. I also got the homie the burnt ends and he said it was good...

I don’t eat barbecue often, maybe once a year. When I tell y’all that I came here 2 days in a row to get a slab of ribs, that should tell you how PHENOMENAL this food is. The ribs fall apart in your mouth. When you warm them up the next day, how do they still taste so good and tender?? And the sauce on them is sweet, not an apple-cider based one like some places have that makes your mouth pucker. Not only that, but it’s a thicker sauce, not runny at all 🙌🏾 And the sides!! Some places are good at either ribs or sides, but rarely both. Greedyman’s Barbecue is good at BOTH! The Mac and cheese? Not only is it smoked, but it’s got this creaminess to it that melts in your mouth. I almost bought the next size of Mac and cheese because I didn’t want to share. And the baked beans?? They’re “slap ya mama” good. If you like sweet baked beans, this place is for you. Not only is the food good, but the people who work here are so kind. ❤️ Great energy all around! Overall, this place is a ten outta ten! I HIGHLY recommend you come here and try them for yourself!

Shout out to Steve Greedy Dawkins Founder and Grill Master of Greedy Man's BBQ. My wife and I were finally able to try it and when I say the food was on point... The flavor in my Rib Tips made me feel like I was at home in KC at a Backyard BBQ 😋 We'll definitely be back for more.

The customer service was really great.I was greeted immediately after I walked through the door. The location of the menu was in an awkward place, but it was basically self-explanatory. You can definitely tell that the owner is very proud of his hometown in kansas city, he was very friendly and excited to see all the customers coming in and out. The food was very fresh. It was made to order. So do not expect to come in this location and just grab something really fast. I ordered the brisket philly, which was good. The meat was seasoned to perfection.It was just a little tough. My partner got the rib tips and baked beans. He said that he did not like kansas city barbecue, because it was too sweet for him, and the ribs were a little tough. I would definitely recommend this place. I think I will return and try something else.

Very nice staff, very welcoming; however the food was horrible. The BBQ was extremely over cooked, rubber-like, and hard. It tasted left over like it has been reheated a few times. I couldn’t even chew or swallow it. It also had this really weird/outdated taste. The entire plate was drenched in bbq sauce. The bread was soaked/soggy and not edible. The greens were very bland and bitter, no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. Great portions for the price, just poor quality. I’m very disappointed. I moved here from Texas and was craving bbq. I haven’t had any since I left almost a year ago and I thought this place would fulfill my craving. Unfortunately, it did not. I hate to be the bad review.

I'm rarely on the South Side, so I don't know many good spots to eat there. I found Greedyman's BBQ through a Google search and decided to give it a try based on the reviews--and I'm so glad I did. I have a particular taste for BBQ, so I don't like just any spot, but this place did not disappoint. Deciding what to order was tough because everything looked and smelled amazing. They're located in a plaza with free shared parking, which is always a plus. Though I'm not familiar with Kansas BBQ, this restaurant, which is Black-owned and authentic, brings that style to life. I ordered the rib tips, and my friend got the rib tips and wings combo, with potato salad on the side. If you're picky about potato salad like I am, don't worry--it was delicious, way better than I expected. The baked beans were equally good too. Every meal comes with a side and bread. We also tried the banana pudding and peach cheesecake, which were so good I wanted more. When I'm in the area again, I definitely plan to return.

Excellent spot for KC BBQ! Customer service is amazing! Food portions were great as well. I would suggest getting the sauce on the side for brisket and turkey. The sauce is definitely KC style, on the sweet side. Still good. All the sides were great, with the potato salad being different from the southern style we're used to here in the A. The smoked turkey bacon in it gives it a unique flavor. Baked beans could be a little less sauce, but great flavor. I'll be back.

Found this place on Yelp and it was definitely a good find. Even better when I found out the Bruhs owned it #Colemanlove! So, let's get into it... We called to place an order and spoke to a very nice guy who was also multi-tasking and having a hard time keeping up. He stated that they were filing something and although distracted, he finally got the order after about 15 minutes. My mother went and picked the food up and after all of that it wasn't right. We didn't receive our drinks nor the two desserts we ordered. After calling back, she was told she was suppose to grab them herself, which no one indicated to her. She was able to go back a few days later, when convenient, and get the missing items. She never brought them back so unfortunately I can't review...and that was what I was looking forward to the most!! The food was good!! We had fish, bbq rib tips, brisket, bbq sandwiches, collards, baked beans, and fries. Everything was about a 7/10 with the exception of the brisket. It was shaved so thin and such a small portion, I honestly couldn't taste it enough to tell if it was good or not. Would definitely support and go back again, hopefully to receive all of my food and a better portion of brisket. Overall: 7.5/10

I ordered on Uber Eats this past Saturday. It was better than expected. I ordered hot n spicy three wings, baked beans, and coleslaw. Please don't forget the peach cobbler cheesecake (OMG). The wings are whole wings and smoked either seasoning-no sauce, but a dry rub- they were tasty and delicious (slight spice). At first glance I was a little agitated; I thought they were small. They were the right size, juicy and meaty. That caramelized sweet baked beans were the best I've had in a long time. The turkey coleslaw was delicious. The peach cheesecake was on time. Whomever made this-Thank You!!! I highly recommend. I know this is my first review of this place. I have recommended this place to friends. I pray the next time it's as good.

Welcome to Kansas City! That's what the sign discloses with picture of a football stadium on the front panel of the counter and plenty of Kansas City's sport items displayed all through the restaurant. Not to mention Greedyman's logo all over -down to the trash can and door handle with big G. The minute, I stepped into this restaurant with my husband, I was instantly pleased with the cleanliness, bright appearance and smell. But really, most of all the owners behind the counter. Loved the welcome and friendliness! Keep doing what you doing. Glad to have your business on this side of town and glad to be able to support- (Ujamaa- Cooperative Economics) Exceptional service and delicious food are definitely a win, win. Price is reasonable, menu is unique, simple, and easy to read with plenty of delicious food items. While sitting and waiting for our food, I was already thinking what I would get the next time I visit. Now who is greedy?? lol We got the(2) 2meat plates with one side and drink..hubby got smoked turkey, smoked wings and baked beans. Me, rib tips, beef brisket and smoked turkey collard greens and shared side of the turkey bacon potato salad and strawberry cheesecake pudding. We took our delicious goods home and devoured it all enjoying every morsel. Yeah babe, we officially GREEDY!

I mormally dont give 5star reviews, but this bbq restaurant deserve tje honorable mention. I was greeted with a warm until I picked up my food and left. Please see the photos of the bbq tips ( nice portion size) collards, bajed beans, cole slaw & banana pudding ( they hv multiple flavors). Please try them out!!!!

Such a good place to eat/order from. Got the k.s bbq wings and fried fish today, both were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I am never able to get a photo because I always manage to eat it all before taking one haha! This is some real bbq right here, today's food went above and beyond, extremely Smokey wings, yummy! If you are in the area it is a MUST have. The rib tips are good too! Love the fries that come with the meal, pickles are a nice touch too! Will always recommend this to others xx

The food had way too much barbecue sauce and not enough seasoning. The only thing had enough seasoning were the steak fries. The beef tips had no seasoning and the potato salad is an acquired taste, but it's good. presentation is great. Customer service awesome. Banana pudding was not made fresh daily. Bananas were black in pudding. If not for that the banana pudding taste good.

If you are looking for awesome customer service and a clean place to grab some good ol BBQ G Mans is your place. The portions were good, and the quality of food was even better. Smoked KC wings are a must!!!

Delicious. Such good customer service. Food was great. The apple rib tips had such a nice flavor and the potato salad was a nice pair to it. The juice was really good and unique. But mostly the strawberry cheesecake was amazing. Truly worth the trip for just that!

I randomly stopped by this place for food. It was the BEST decision. The food is awesome and portion ratio is mildly above average. I have always stuck to one BBQ place. This is my new favorite now. The pricing and time of readiness and service is awesome. Greeted as soon as you walk in. Definitely a hidden Gem.

This place slaps! EVERY THING WE HAD WAS AMAZINGLY FINGER LICKING GOOD. Lawd this food was sooooo good. I hit this place twice in one day. A friend recommended it, I tried them out. Went home, let my adult children try my rib tips and they wanted to go back. Im here to support! I seriously doubt that you can eat the entire meal in one setting. So no, they not stingy at all. The collard greens are cooked with smoked turkey (bussin), the potato salad didn't disappoint! But them desserts! We had the strawberry cheesecake pudding, amazing!

Greedyman's BBQ Is More Than Delicious. I ordered a large Smoked Macaroni And Cheese And ate the whole thang in less than 10 minutes. Greedyman's food makes me greedy in a good way .

I've been going to Greedyman's BBQ for a year now not only is the owners/staff nice and professional but the food is off the chain, I've eaten everything from the menu so whatever you get you want be disappointed. They kept saying for a few months that they have their ice cream coming and yesterday (7Feb2023) when I stopped in the ice cream was there. I'm not much of an ice cream person but I decided to purchase two of them the flavors were Tropical Frost and Prospect Punch and they were really good they have more of a sherbet taste to it so I will be going back to try other flavors. If you're ever in Jonesboro on Stockbridge Road stop by Greedyman's BBQ and let them know Yonsen sent you.

This is real good. Real KC Bar BQ. Beans were so yummy. The barbecue was delicious. Rib tip outstanding, fresh sides. I had the fried fish it was super tasty. Will be coming back.

I visited today opening day of the new store in Jonesboro. I was waiting for it to open after having eaten there a couple years ago at the food truck in Jonesboro concert in the Lee street park. Staff is friendly and the food is great. I had the 2 meat special and chose rib tips and smoked wings along with the baked beans which are off the chain. I added a bacon potato salad, watermelon drink and strawberry cheesecake pudding so good! I'm so glad to have Greedy Mans here in my town Jonesboro!

I am a new work-hire in Jonesboro and I am still familiarizing myself to the area. I ordered the apple smoked sausage with a side. Um Um Um good! The sausage was prepared (cooked to perfection....and the sauce OMG... Last, very friendly greeted me when I entered the restaurant. In the quote from The Terminator.....I WILL BE BACK!....again and again!

I'm in love with this place. Saw it on the news and I told my moms and pops that we have to go there today! When we got there the KC vibe was felt as avid Gates BBQ eater I already knew what to expect. Big bro and big sis really made us feel comfortable the food and ambiance was off the chain. This restaurant is now on my goto list!!! Keep up the great work. The portion sizes was dynamite the Q the container was busting the sandwich and the wings was definitely enough for two people!

Finally got a chance to try them today while out on my weekend of supporting small black owned business. They are located in a small plaza on the end next to another black owned sweet shop, not far from Slutty Vegan. I was greeted immediately with a bright and inviting smile from the young lady at the front. After determining it was my first time she suggested that I try their 2 meat meal which came with a side and soda just for a variety. However I was hell bent on ribs so went with apple rib tips, collard greens with turkey meat and a side of potato salad that also has turkey in it. It came with slices of bread and pickles which added a nice tart to balance the sweet. After ordering she told me it would be about 7 to 9 mins and to go back to the car and listen for a siren to sound and then come back in to pickup the order.. The whole wait time was I think around what she told me but I was so into discussing their menu it seemed to fly by. I had a few more stops but had to sneak a tip before I made it home. Oh noooooo I wasn't ready for the tender sweet meat with a lil bit of fat to taste so damn good. Ump I really can't express my happy palette but since I wanted to be sure to post this I must end so that I can dig into this delicious meal. I most definitely will be back and since she gave the menu to go which can be used to call ahead, I will be back real soon. Great customer service decently priced for the tips $13 and extra side $4. Before leaving she mentioned they partner with Famous Amos Cookies and said each customer gets a pack of cookies and it's Belgian Chocolate flavor but too full to try that right now. Thanks for the polite handling of service and I hope you all continue to grow! Very proud that there was no disappointments.

I read the reviews before trying this restaurant out so I just knew I would get exceptional food. The customer service was excellent...I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The cashier suggested I get the 2 meat special so I ordered the ribtips, smoked wings and turkey potato salad. First the rib tips were drenched in bbq sauce. The sauce tasted like it had 2lbs of sugar in it. It was way too sweet. The smoked wings tasted more like smoke than anything. The potato salad wasn't good either. I threw everything away. I wish this business the best but I had to tell my truth about it.

It was good. Would try again. Potato salad was different from what I'm use too but delicious!

Yummy!!! Someone brought the food truck to our job for appreciation and it is and was appreciated! The service was with a smile and food delicious. Some people ordered fish others had Chicken i had ribs. Everyone was raving about the food the sides and the sauce!!! Not to mention service with a smile. I'm a raving fan and highly recommend them!!

Truck came by the job today and was pretty good! I love the portions and even though I didn't get a dessert my co-workers said it was off the chain good. Great food truck. I had the turkey sandwich with potato salad.

Omg i swear they have some great food!!! I attended a seafood and bbq festival and came across their food truck and ordered the 2 meats one side deal for just 15 bucks and got the rib tips and jumbo shrimp with their signature drink. I waa impressed with not only their customer service but their food was top notch. Follow them on facebook as well.

Stopped in after finding on Yelp. The owner had actually seen my family earlier in the day at the Dollar Tree and recognized us when we came in. What a welcoming restaurant! We ordered a 2 meat meal with shrimp and rib tips and if it weighed less than 2 pounds of food without the side I'd be surprised. Rib tips were amazing and the shrimp was spot on. The turkey sandwich with pastrami and cole slaw added was delicious and was I bet a pound of meat. I could only eat half. The hamburger was enormous and my 5 year old could only get thru a quarter of it. The sides were all amazing..we had the greens, potato salad and fries with seasoning. The KC juices were yummy and I added a little adult beverage to mine which made it even better. We will definitely be back! As a side note a customer ordered a turkey burger and left with it and came back for another while we were still there..in his words you need to be advertising this sandwich. A couple repeat customers came in for the turkey burger so I will definitely be adding to my order next time.

I usually get the wings but the owner convinced me to get the chicken philly. I must say , the amount of chicken was great. The flavor was off the charts. I will be back and I recommend you get the chicken philly.

We host food trucks at our offices weekly. This has been far and away the most popular truck we've had here, and for good reason! The food is fantastic (I especially love the wings) and you get a ton of food for a very reasonable price. Even the hungriest employees are usually unable to finish the $15 "Greedy" combo deal, which lets you choose an additional entree and nearly doubles your portion! Greedyman's should probably be charging more for food this good, but we're all glad that they aren't - this is one of, if not THE best deal you will get from a truck in town. Don't miss it!
