Google
Reliable spot for Greek comfort food. For over three decades, Greek Corner has been a neighborhood gem, and I got to try them a couple times thanks to my colleagues' recommendations. It’s not flashy, nor does it chase trends, but that’s precisely its charm. Favorite Dishes: Avgolemono Soup, Lamb Chops Solid Choices: Taramosalata, Beef Kebab, Baklava The dishes here strike a nice balance between simplicity and soulfulness, and my favorites so far were the avgolemono soup and the lamb chops. Creamy yet bright, the egg-lemon classic soup was very comforting, and it was apparently the most popular item for takeout. Then the lamb chops. Given the price tag, I didn't expect much, but it was perfectly tender and juicy. Highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a reliable and affordable Greek comfort food.

The service was fast. The food was delicious. The roasted lamb sandwich served with pita bread was my favorite between these two. The tenderness of the meat was just right.I will go back to try another dish.

I literally didn’t have time to take pics because their Greek Gyro Special is so freaking good. Been coming here for years and the consistency is 10/10 The bread they use is absolutely perfect. Super soft and warmed up with a slight chew. Kind of makes me think of gorditas 🤔. The meat is sliced to ordered and always has little crispy bits of the sides. It’s always a super generous portion too. The seasoning and spice blend is so perfect and the texture is soft with a bit of crunch. Then the vegetables are the real unsung hero here. I’m not usually a salad person but the lettuce and tomato give the whole wrap a freshness and a lightness to the whole thing. It’s still a super rich rib sticking situation, but the lettuce and tomatoes give you just enough freshness to cleanse your palate. The sauce is really the star of the show in my opinion. Idk what goes in but it’s freaking perfect. Garlicky, herby, acidity from the yogurt and lemon juice. Holy crap this takes it to the next level. It’s a dense thick wrap that definitely fills you up. I also usually order the Greek fries and they’re great with hot sauce and ketchup (hope that’s not a Greek cuisine sin 😇). The rice pudding is also spectacular. Drenched in cinnamon and the sweetness level is perfect (fellow Asian ppl you know what I mean). The thing that really motivated me to write this review (besides having the best gyro I’ve ever had in Boston) was their hospitality. We got our usual order this past weekend from them and as we are opening up our Greek fries in the car, we realize they’re just regular fries (no cheese/ herbs). Obviously not a big deal, but I decided to call them and just let them know to see how they would react. Once I let them know the dude over the phone (big shout out to you homie) was super nice about it and totally owned it. He told us if we can come back they’ll make it right and when we came back he not only gave us a fresh order of green fries but also gave us 2 free desserts with full generosity. Hospitality feels like a dying and under appreciated art these days and that’s really a shame. I hope this review inspires you to support a gem like Greek Corner and for the restaurant to know that their generosity is appreciated ✌🏼

Decided to try after a DDD episode. Glad we did! Greek fries were delicious. Entrees were shareable. Food was fresh and hot! We have since been back multiple times.

This little gem has the best food, sweetest servers and the cutest atmosphere. I've coming here for over 10 years and they NEVER disappoint.

Google
This place has gone downhill. Today’s order was the driest, toughest meat I’ve had in years. Attached are two pics of identical meat (my wife and I got the same plate). Mine was much worse, but hers was bad too. This place would be better off if they just reheated frozen kebabs from Trader Joe’s.

We've been meaning to try Greek Corner for a while, and finally found an excuse to come for a weekday lunch. The restaurant is spacious and homey and the our server was knowledgeable. We ended up ordering more than we could eat (by a lot) and packed around 1 meal's worth of food to go. The appetizer sampler plate ($18) was great -- I liked all of the components. I've had similar appetizer samplers at other Mediterranean restaurants and this was one of the better ones in terms of flavors. The hummus and spanakopita were particularly tasty. I'd get this again. The fried calamari ($14) was plentiful and tasty. The fry was not too greasy, the breading was light and crispy, and the calamari was tender. I would get this again. The chicken kebab plate ($18) was a good amount of food. I didn't love the chicken -- it wasn't very tender and it was pretty lightly seasoned. The onion in between the chicken pieces was pretty burnt. The rice pilaf was a bit disappointing as well. I liked the Greek salad -- good seasoning and fresh vegetables. The special gyro ($11) was decent. The gyro wasn't strongly flavored so it kinda blended into the bread. The sauce was also unevenly distributed (mostly at the bottom). We probably wouldn't get this again. Overall we really enjoyed the appetizers and calamari at Greek Corner, but didn't love the entrees that we tried. The prices are definitely reasonable -- you get a lot of food for a decent price. Next time I'm craving Greek appetizers, I know where to come!

Google
Greek Corner is a great spot! All the food has been delicious ever since I’ve been coming here starting in 2020. Service is good too. Prices have increased a lot but the quantity of food is almost always enough for leftovers so it’s worth it. We had a tzatziki appetizer, gyro plate (comes with salad and fries/rice), and lamb and potato special for Greek Easter. Very tasty!

Yelp
Consistently wonderful Greek food to dine in or take-out. Really fresh ingredients and generous portions. Not fancy but a true gem. We use them for holiday large order takeout when the whole (hungry) family gathers. Yum!

Yelp
The Greek corner is one of my go to favorite Greek restaurants in the United States. The food is authentic fresh and crisp. So is the service. The restaurant itself is very spacious, spread out in spotlessly clean. Greek music walks out of speakers at just the right decibel level. The menu is jampacked with excellent options. I change up my menu selections often. Probably my favorite is the very affordable priced lamb chops which come with a side salad and rice or fries. The lamb is always cooked perfectly and taste perfect. You will never go wrong whatever you order. It's worth driving out of your way. I frequently do.

Danny J.

Yelp
Quality has gone way down. Ordered the gyro and grilled chicken kebab plates. The gyro meat was incredibly dry and tasted old and stale. The salad and fries tasted fresh and were the only decent tasting items on the plate. The grilled chicken was also dry and served burnt. The rice was dry and tasted old. I use to frequent the Greek corner but cannot recommend it anymore.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Love this family run and home style restaurant. The service is warm and friendly and prices reasonable. Try the appetizer sampler and WHATEVER you try same room for the baklava! Best in Boston and that's no joke. Enjoy!

Yelp
Tabouleh is so good. I don't even like hummus but I like theirs. Falafel is crunchy and flavorful. Gyros are so so good. Really just a solid Greek place highly appreciate them

Eric B.

Yelp
The food is authentic, and on a Monday night, they are doing a huge takeout business. Families and friends are still meeting here to talk and chat. This has been one of my favorite home-cooking style ethnic food places to come. The food is very tasty and not all hyped up. The falafels are to die for. One of the few places that do them right is Cambridge or Boston. The Saganaki is not the excellent kind they used to use, but I'll keep ordering it every time. We enjoy the house's red wine. It's a nice laid-back place to share food and conversation over the food you need to eat with your fingers and bread. The staff is friendly and has always been slow. Though once you have their attention, they get it all in and out to you asap. I think they have slipped a little, but it's slow. I hope to meet some of my Greek friends here and get their feedback, but they all eat her. It's still #1 Greek in the city.

Yelp
OPA..... Stopped in recently due to a recommendation by Guy Fieri the Diner Drive In's and Dives. As usual his endorsement does not be great. I'd say it's a moderate Greek restaurant meaning not special to make me come back. The ambiance of of a traditional Greek joint with murals on the wall depicting urban Greece. Our waitress was a real Greek so this added to our experience but I can have that at in-laws house as well. Ordered a feta & olives plate , saganaki and two pork Souvlaki Gyros. Feta was dry and olives were smaller kalamatas. Not something lost Greeks serve. Gyros we're OK nothing I'd scream OPA over however the Saganaki was absolutely amazing. Real thick cut of cheese and perfectly charred. Reminded me of summer time dining in Athens. First class job on that one I loved it. Anyways try this place if your close by but don't drive out of your way based on TRIPLE D...

Yelp
Last night I had a craving for avgolemono soup, but our usual take out place (Gyro City) had run out of it! So we did some online sleuthing on Grubhub to find another Greek restaurant and came across this place which I didn't know of but decided to give a try and ordered delivery for - of course Avgolemono soup and the grilled chicken dinner with rice pilaf and Greek salad. The hubs got the Corner's special gyro. Delivery came in a decent amount of time considering they are about 4 miles away. Soup was nice exactly like I was hoping except that it was lukewarm and a bit less lemony - both issues easily solved by microwaving for thirty seconds and adding a small squeeze of lemon that came with the dinner. It was so nice and comforting to eat the soup along with the pita bread. Very satisfying. I tried a little bit of the grilled chicken too and that was really tender and flavorful and the salad was fairly fresh and came with feta cheese. Hubby really liked his gyro and said: "It was awesome! The lettuce, onions tomatoes were fresh crispy and cool and the meat was tender and flavorful." I will say that the grilled chicken dinner was a tad pricey at almost $21 and the Grubhub delivery plus service fee was also relatively high. I guess it must be because they're in Cambridge. But the food was great and satisfied the craving lol! Plus I have a whole meal of leftovers from it, so no complaints there! Overall good fresh tasty Greek food!

Yelp
Some of the best authentic Greek food around in Boston. Fast service and great ambiance even when busy. These guys know what they're doing.

Marilyn A.

Yelp
This was my go to take out place for the entire time I lived in Arlington. The domains are great but the donair plate with salad and fries is truly the best. The place is family run and always on point with their service. I took people here to eat in and they also serve up amazing full plate Greek meals. However, it was the take out donair platter that had me coming back again and again for a consistently good meal. I usually had leftovers too.

James W.

Yelp
A picture is definitely worth a thousand words..... yup it was as good as it looks. Go stuff your face

Joe R.

Yelp
Greek corner- what happened? I have been going here for years and always enjoy the experience. This last time fell far from the mark. We ordered a take out lunch on Sunday which rang in at over a shocking $50 for two dishes. Outrageous. When we unboxed the meals, the warm grilled chicken had been placed on top of the salad which left all the lettuce wilted and a runny mess. The vegetarian plate had a flavorful, yet meager amount of hummus which was overwhelmed with garlic and the chickpeas weren't processed into a paste and rather chunky. The included falafel was large and had a good flavor though it was quite desiccated and crumbly; I suspect it might have been leftover from the night before or simply over-fried and salty. The chicken was flavorful, but the French fries were a limp, soggy mess. It all had great flavors, but was overcooked or poorly done. I'm sad to say that this once great local haunt has let me down.

Jillian C.

Yelp
Super impressed by this cozy Greek spot! Friendly staff, HUGE portions and quality food! I ordered a chicken gyro combo with a side of spanakopita. The gyro was loaded with tzatziki, which was oozing with flavor! They gave me a generous side salad as well. The spanakopita was thick and loaded with spinach. Will definitely be ordering again from this gem!

James P.

Yelp
Excellent. Had a craving for a good gyro and Greek Corner didn't disappoint! Gyro much bigger than places around and much better anyways. Fries were excellent - hand cut, fresh, piping hot. Would come back for fries alone. Add a big bowl of Avgolemono soup and this dinner was awesome. Check it out.

Thao T.

Yelp
Great foods, one of my favorite Greek spots in North Cambridge. I never dining in but people seem very thoughtful and genuinely here.

Maura M.

Yelp
Used to be a unique go-to. Sadly, it's off our list now. Dry chicken kebab and soggy, thrown together vegetarian plate plus a peppery avgolemomo made for a disappointing $53 meal, ($72 with tax, tip and DoorDash fees). Plenty of competition not mailing it in out there.

Gsc S.

Yelp
Super friendly staff. Food was good but nothing special. I'd go back if I were in the neighborhood

Andrei B.

Yelp
This is my goto for a quick dinner that I don't need to think about. The salad is always fresh. The chicken is nicely charred. The rice is good and has nice flavor. I usually add some salt & pepper :) Never disappoints!

Katie S.

Yelp
Food: This place was great! I got the vegetarian plate - it was super yummy and came with Greek salad too. My parents got the lamb (loved it!) and the chicken (it was tasty but a little dry). Would recommend the hummus and tzatziki sauce. Service: Was quick to come out with food and the server was nice. Reasonable prices! Ambiance: Lots of people eating and chatting - lively spot. The restaurant felt clean and low key.

Meira S.

Yelp
I've only ordered once so far, but it was excellent. I got the chicken shish kebab plate with salad. The chicken was incredibly tender and the salad was simple and fresh. I am trying to limit my carbs so only had a taste of the pilaf, and again, it was simple and fresh. It was hard to not eat it all! I just ordered a village salad with chicken for delivery and am reading some of these bad recent reviews while I wait and either I was lucky or the other diners weren't. I'll update if my salad is not excellent! I have high hopes based on my first order.

Guli K.

Yelp
Greek corner has one of the best chicken gyro's I have had. Tender pieces of grilled chicken wrapped in a warm fluffy pita, smothered in tatziki sauce, topped with shredded lettuce and tomato - amazing! They also offer plates which comes with rice, salad or fries. Small casual spot which is usually busy. Fun fact they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!

Sonja N.

Yelp
I first heard about this restaurant after moving to Cambridge and watching an episode on " diners, drive ins and dives" I had to try it and the food is delicious, perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of zing. I recommend Greek Corner and will be ordering again.

Patrick O.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and both times I've enjoyed my meals. It's a simple low-key neighborhood type of place. But that really works to its advantage in my opinion. Each time I visited there has been a relaxed, laid back, comfortable atmosphere that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and dutifully answered the few questions that I had. The food is solid and the portions are very respectable for the price. They have a few Greek beers to choose from as well as some other no so adventurous selections. Each time I've ordered kebabs of some sort and been very satisfied. I made sure to finish things off with a piece of baklava and it totally hit the spot. This place doesn't disappoint and I'm sure I'll be back.

Mary Ann S.

Yelp
Haven't ordered from here for a while since it was going downhill. Well now, it's hit rock bottom. 2 Black hairs in my food. Tiny portions for the price. And whomever changed the Chicken Soup recipe, should consider changing it back. Gross! So unless you like hair with a side of food. Don't waste your money. The hairless pita bread was good though.

Danielle F.

Yelp
First thing to note: the staff were super friendly even though I only interacted with them to pick up my order. For the food: I ordered the special souvlaki and enjoyed it. I think it had a lot of potential - the tzatziki sauce that comes on the pita is truly impressive. However, I think the sauce could have been more evenly dispersed throughout the pita or more generous overall since some bites were a little dry. I think the meat (pork) had good flavor but it was in pretty big chunks and sometimes lacked tzatziki which contributed to the dryness. I would definitely go again! Also, my friend got the baklava and said it was "really, really good" so that is definitely something I will be trying next time.

Kaveh D.

Yelp
Dry and burnt chicken, stale food, and a baklava that was far from fresh. This was a total disappointment.

Diana W.

Yelp
I have ordered from Greek Corner about 4 times in the last month. I always get my go to Mousakka which is such a delicious comfort food. It is a mix of different creamy and savory textures. I also love their really fresh and crisp side salad with a small block of yummy feta cheese. This is the real feta unlike the kind sold in grocery stores. I recommend you try this wonderful restaurant, I just wish there was another one in Boston.

Nino E.

Yelp
A slightly upscale Greek food where I wouldn't expect it. They take falafels to the next level - and although not as filling for its worth, it's a nice treat once in a while.

Annie S.

Yelp
This is the best local Greek spot! I usually get the Special Gyro with a village salad but everything else on the menu has been good too! My sister and I are both fans and end up here at least once a month. It's a great place for a casual lunch, dinner or even to-go! Just call it in ahead of time.

Naomi L.

Yelp
This is my go to place for reasonably priced and tasty gyros. Their pita is very soft and flavorful and their meat is well-seasoned. The size is decent though sometimes the amount of filling in the gyro varies; sometimes it's packed with goodness and other times, it can be on the sparser side. There is plenty of seating, though parking may be tricky since there is no private lot. There is street parking and some parking in the adjacent neighborhoods. The service is pretty fast, so this is a nice place to grab a quick bite!

Jerry R.

Yelp
Meh! Greek food made for Americans by Greeks. At least keep it authentic.I really wanted to like this place.

Chase W.

Yelp
Easily the worst Greek food I've ever had. The avgolemono was a flavorless mushy porridge. The pastitsio was overcooked, underseasoned, and had poor quality ingredients. The Greek fries were completely inedible. They were slimy and undercooked. Just a totally brutal meal. We threw away almost all of it. Complete waste of money.

Kiana Z.

Yelp
I've ordered from here twice before -- getting their combo (Lamb Gyro which is delicious). One of the best Greek places I've tried around Boston. Good salad and soup as well. Always happy with their service.

Victoria S.

Yelp
This is a solid Greek restaurant! I had a chicken gyro with fries and it was delicious. Even the pita itself was really good-- it was warm, thick and perhaps lightly fried. I loved the homemade fries and was really glad I opted for the combo! The restaurant is small and casual. The service was friendly. The drinks were reasonably priced and the house wine was decent. I don't have a lot to say except I would definitely go back!

Mina G.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. Nice spacious seating area. Service was friendly and quick. Order Greek salad with grilled chicken, spinach pie and sovoulniki plate. The salad was tasty and fresh. Spinach pie was fairly big portion and was ok. Came with some cold pita :( the plate came with two stick of meat, some salad and fries (which were a bit soggy). Overall food had good portion and was tasty although not best Greek food I had. Still would recommend.

Don V.

Yelp
Asked for medium rare lamb kabob. Turned out to be hard as a rock, dry and flavorless. $25 down the drain.

Siwen M.

Yelp
Cozy and intimate place for dinner, with casual ambience and artsy environment. I like the warm and cozy feeling in this place, making me feel like being home. It's a little loud and crowded but very welcoming and hospitalizing. The kitchen ventilation is not very good so the whole dining hall is heated by the kitchen heat and a bit smell but I'm not complaining. The food is good. We had a lamb shank and a gyrio. The shank is cooked very well. The gyrio is not bad. Pretty healthful food and cooking style, I believe. It's a greek place, although I feel it's slightly leaving to middle eastern style. Anyways, delicious and nice for a casual dinner. Good price and serving size, too.

Lee P.

Yelp
My wife and I have been going here for years. While the menu is a bit limited, the food is really close to how we remember it from our travels to Greece. Portions are the right size and prices are good. The staff is Greek and friendly but they can get a bit short if they are busy. And the place does get busy at times because others also like the food. I think this may be the most authentic Greek food in the Boston area, which also means that it isn't very elaborate. So don't expect fine dining here, that's not the point. But if you've been to Greece and crave some lemon chicken soup, gyro or souvlaki, and rice pudding for dessert, go here.

Charles C.

Yelp
Horrible delivery experience! You could blame it all on grub hub but the restaurant should care about what its patrons receive. Salad ruined, everything soggy and sideways. This is the worst delivery I have received in 10 years. The delivery person (on a bike) dismisses it as "it's the end of my night" and rode off. Below is the mess we got for dinner.

Jason Y.

Yelp
This place is a Cambridge treasure. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Greater Boston area. It has the feel of an open, sunny Greek Taverna. Everything is traditional, the tsaziki is great. Both the Moussaka and the Lamb dishes great and the prices are very low for such quality. Never leave this corner, Greek Corner!

Evan H.

Yelp
Perhaps my opinion of this restaurant is hindered by the high expectations that I had. My experience was very poor, food was overcooked, nothing was appetizing, one of our salads didn't even have dressing on it. I ordered lamb chops they were incredibly small overcooked and tasteless.

sage f.

Yelp
This place is delicious!! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and tasty. The portions are very large and we always order extra so we have leftovers. Some of our favorites are the falafel, chicken kebabs, rice pilaf, and salad. The staff are very warm and friendly. We love supporting this neighborhood institution!

Rupa S.

Yelp
We were craving for some good falafels so decided to try this place. We tried their falafel plate and vegetarian plate and they both were quite good. I personally like more spices so I would have liked a bit more spice in my hummus but other than that the flavors were pretty good. I like their grape leaves appetizer and even the spinach pie was really good. The falafel balls are huge here - good flavors but needed some nice hot sauce.

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Tasted like pretty average greek food to me. Got a chicken gyro and a spinach pie. Both were pretty average fare at average prices. Wasn't particularly blown away.

Cloven H.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the order pickup today. The octopus was inedible tough and chewy, couldn't get that down. Ordered Roast lamb sandwich and there is chicken in there, so I am assuming they gave me a chicken gyro. The lamb shish kebabs are not worth $20 a plate. I have been here a couple of times before and dined in, and I don't remember it being that bad. The place was busy as there were lots of orders waiting to be pickup. It has good reviews too, unfortunately today experience is not going to make me want to order again.

Stella C.

Yelp
The food is extremely authentic and delicious. The place is pretty well known and the staff are very humble and helpful with orders and allergy requests. Their desserts are hearty so if you plan on eating sweets don't eat all their delicious pita bread. Ambiance is very calm and ample seating room. (Seats aren't on top of each other)

Oanh P.

Yelp
Food quality has always been good here. It never change or disappoint. Today, I went for the gyro sandwich plate (comes with salad and rice or French fries). The gyro alone is already filling so one can just get the gyro sandwich and be OK. I love how they manages to give the same amount every time. Also love how thick but soft the pita is. They didn't over do it with the onion either so it's perfect. I've had their kabob also. They all tastes very good. One time, it was somewhat too salty on the rice but it was still ammaaazing! Definitely a gem in the neighborhood.

Liz C.

Yelp
I ordered the gyro plate, spinach pie & baklava. The plate lasted 3 meals & the all the food tasted good. The spinach pie & Baklava tasted good it was a good substitute for my moms. I like my spinach pie with a little bit more feta & cooked a little more so I put it in the air fryer but all the flavors were there. I'll be back to try other things on the menu.
