Greek Gyro Guy

After Many trips driving down 164th, I have always spotted the Greek Gyro Guy with a delightful space, food cart and outdoor seating. Finally made it out to stop in and try a spread of their goods! My friend and I were very hungry and excited to have a spread of fun Mediterranean food. One of us is Vegan so Dennis perfectly tailored the meal to our food preferences. This restaurant is family owned and operated by Dennis and his Wife. They make everything fresh to order, and the taste and food is definitely made with care and great! We decided to get two Mediterranean plates and a double chicken Gyro for our helper on our project. Dennis was a delight to speak with and chat while we were waiting for him to build our order. He took great care and attention to detail and we loved the sweet Baklava which we ate as we waited for our meal. Food prep and turnaround was quick and it’s quite nice to have a Drive Through option to enjoy our A/C while the food was being made. There is a Gas station next door if you need a top up while waiting for your food and there are tables to enjoy your meal with any size of group. Kid friendly too. If you are ever in the area and in need of a delicious, healthy and fulfilling meal of Greek cuisine, I highly recommend a visit to The Gyro Guy. What a great family establishment. Having been a part of a big Greek family (by marriage) I’m a big snob about Greek food and this place is the best. Drive through is pretty quick. They have tables if you want to eat there. Even if there is a line, it’s worth the wait. And the family who own and work there are absolutely lovely humans. Did you say spanakopita? They got it! Dolmathes? Yep!! Baklava? Omg…run, don’t walk. Just go get some of this delicious food. Prepare to weep from the joy of good food and wonderful service.

This is my favorite Gyro place! All orders are prepared fresh and you can taste the quality of their food in every bite. I’ve never had a bad bite here. Not only are the gyros fresh and delicious the family that runs this place has my heart. Every time I order they greet you humbly, kindly, and with warmth. You can feel the care they take in owning this business.

Delicious gyros and the kindest owners you’ll ever encounter! These folks always fill my day with positivity (and great Greek food 😊). On a recent visit, they even added in a free dessert because the wait was a hair longer than normal. (I tried to decline but they insisted!) It really made my day and I thought it showed great service.

i support small businesses as much as possible, however, i won't be supporting this business in the future. they are new owners of this business. i feel so scammed and deceived. they should be ashamed of charging these unreasonable prices for what they give you and embarrassed for trying to pass off as good quality "Mediterranean" food. this was the worst value ever. i must've lost my mind or had low blood sugar to have paid over $17 not including tip for the lowest quality store-bought food items. what they gave me doesn't match what is advertised on the menu photos or the online photos. their Mediterranean platter + chicken consists of 1 small dry pita, ~2 tbsp of barely edible hummus, ~2 tbsp of tzatziki, 7 grape tomatoes, 6 thin slices of cucumbers, a tiny container of feta cheese, a tiny container of mustard (which has never been served with Mediterranean food before or a gyro), 2 tiny falafel cut in half, ~4 tiny kalamata olives cut in half, 2 tiny hard/dry dolmas, which were disgusting and hard to bite into 🤢 (cheap canned variety), ~5 strips of "chicken" that were bland and questionable if it was even real chicken meat. think turkey bacon, but less meaty and less flavorful. it felt like it weighed less than an ounce bc it was so light. who's giving all the high ratings? friends and family? would you pay over $17 for this?

This place is a hidden gem for amazing gyros. Dennis, the owner, is incredibly kind and professional, which makes the experience even better! The gyro I had was absolutely delicious. Generously filled with flavorful, tender meat. The homemade tzatziki sauce was fresh and creamy, and the pita was perfectly cooked, soft, and warm. You can really taste the care and quality in every bite.

I hadn't had a good Gyro for a while and then I remembered... Oh hey the Greek Gyro Guy! Just fantastically delicious. Dennis and his wife Melissa are so nice, and always have a smile and a moment to talk. Don't hesitate to try a double Gyro... as That's what I got! I also got some baklava for later. This made my day so I wanted to tell you about it. Sorry about the bite out of the sandwich I couldn't help myself! 😋

Whether you are a veg eater or a meat eater this little hole in the wall place has secretly the best Greek food in the Pacific northwest. Maybe in the country! Good portions hard to find in this economy + incredible high quality food! The service is amazing with the owner, having so much passion for people, and for his food. I have tried many Greek food places across the USA, but I continue to compare it to the Greek gyro guy! 9/10 food every single time I can't wait to see this place franchise across the country this is my favorite food spot in the PNW! What an amazing spot. We had family come from out of town and Greek Gryo Guy was the first place we thought of for dinner. Gyros for the adults, kid friendly pizza. The mediterranean platter was a hit! Great outside seating for the warm summer nights to come. Run by the sweetest couple. 10/10 Highly recommend

Pulled in here today and spoke to a very nice person who took the order. The food was tasty and packaged nicely. I would highly recommend stopping by for one of their gyros. You'll be happy you did.

We ordered food go and the food was fresh and hot. Not preformed gyro strips but proper roasted meat. The staff were great and very knowledgeable of menu.

Excellent flavor and large portions. I got the colossal gyro with lamb/beef and it was huge.

Food IS delicious! I got falafel and a phoenix (chicken) gyro. The gyro was soooo good and HUGE! I couldn't eat half! That's ok. Now I have dinner too. Falafel were yummy too! It tzatziki sauce is amazing! Will definitely be back! The owners are so nice and friendly! Go there NOW! You won't be disappointed!

I cannot say enough about the great food and service at Greek Gyro Guy. Formerly "Getta Gyro" this place has always been amazing. Freshly made gyros with excellent seasonings and sauces (but not overly seasoned). You may also order it "spicy" with peppers and Sriracha! The people here are some of the kindest proprietors I've met and always serve you with a smile. It's clear they appreciate their patrons and take pride in the food they serve. Anytime I'm in the mood for a gyro you bed this will be where you can find me!

I've been wanting to try this place for months and kept forgetting to. Today we were driving by at just the right moment. I had the falafel gyro and my husband had the chicken gyro. This is our new go-to for our gyro/Greek fix. It's hands-down the best in town, the service is incredibly friendly and we loved everything about our experience. Yay for this yummy place!!!

We stumbled upon this small free standing gyro stand several months back leaving Parkrose Hardware as it's across the street. All I can say is we found a Diamond in the rough... located by a self-serve carwash on the side of 162nd... it's small, but very well maintained and recently remodeled with outdoor seating... it's a fantastic quick Drivethru with great service & better food. We crave gyros often and come here at least 3-4 times a month. The owner is often serving you up:) Great place... I highly recommend!

I love their gyros here! The little shack definitely doesn't look like much as you drive by, as the location is a little weird, but you've got to stop by! I think they're super well priced and the food has great flavor. Can't wait to come back.

This place is the little Diamond in the rough of 164th area in Vancouver! Service is fast and this sweet couple is so gracious. They show their live in every plate I've gotten! I can't tell you what other "food cartish" place will sit there and ask you how you're doin or even remember simple things that are going on in your life when you come back for another visit. The food is 10/10 the service goes above and beyond This place is top notch and my very favorite gyro place!

Been going he for years. Consistently great and always fresh made. They are also some of the genuinely friendliest people in the food business.

I personally have never liked gyros but these ones are different! Give me 5 and I'll eat them like it's my job. I believe the owner (kind man, long white hair, beautiful mustache) is the kindest person I've ever met in my life. I brought my sister who is from Nevada here, she is pregnant and was craving a gyro and she cried because it hit the spot. I would absolutely come here just to have a conversation with the owner. 100/10 recommend.

Wife and I have been eating here since He opened. We are both 100% satisfied on Every visit, and both highly recommend going and see for yourselves. You should find an attentive staff with smiles, and the essence of the Mediterranean, dancing on your tastes buds.

Beautifully manicured freestanding tiny, square (think 10 by 10) building. It shares a parking lot with a car wash. Couple owned for about 2 years although making gyros for 10 years in the same location. I have eaten here 3x in the last 4 weeks. As a former East coaster with Greek friends, I enjoy this food. I enjoy this location. I also enjoy the couple. Stop in!

The Greek Gyro Guy is an upgrade from the previous gyro that was in the same location. The owners are super nice and treat you like a close friend. They've added a cute little outside eating area and have some killer Tzatziki sauce. The peta is soft and pliable, veggies were fresh and crisp. I had the Phoenix (chicken) which was full of flavor.

I was craving Greek food so we stopped by this place. It was a few minutes before closing, but they were super friendly, and the food was fresh and tasted great. I will definitely be back any time I'm needing a gyro in my life.

Fantastic little gyro shop. Several different kinds of gyros, including vegetarian options. I got the standard Greek gyro which was delicious, I also added hot sauce and pepperoncinis (both free add-ons). Great service. If you're looking for a quick Greek lunch or dinner, this is your spot!

Drive up window with efficient service. So, so good gyros, made by a lovely couple working together. There are the traditional lamb/beef, also chicken and vegetarian gyros. Options for double or triple meat and the Colossus with extras. Also Greek salad, baklava and separate portions of sauces, meat, hummus. Very reasonable prices, I will be back again and again. Maybe tomorrow now that I am thinking of it.

The gyro drew me in, but the family makes the experience even sweeter! The owner "gyro guy" and his family are a real pleasure to see every time I visit their drive-thru gyro stand. My son and I have enjoyed the gyros and indulged in extra meat too. Their tzatziki is delicious! The salad was so good too. I really like the improvements they've made adding tables and lighting for a nice place to sit and enjoy your gyros. This is definitely a go-to place for me and mine.

Delicious and affordable gyro. I loved the spicy hot sauce and the thinly sliced meat. The owners are very friendly people. Highly recommend, we are regulars now after our first visit!
