Saturday night family dinner - tonite we tried Greektown for the first time We ordered the Moussaka - it came in a sauce with green peas, Chicken Lemonata - half chicken with lemon potatoes, three chicken gyros - and a small spinach Large portions - very filling - it came with utensils , napkins , extra tsziki and pitas Hot, delicious !!

I had a fantastic experience at this beautiful awesome special place. I absoyletly love love love love the atmosphere and the people. A place you could have a 6 year or 7 year olds birthday party or just have a casual thirty seven beers lol. Was able to meet a hot young boy named Gianni’s or Yianni’s not sure. Awesome job he did. Overall love this place highly recommended. Price was fair dogs were out beautiful outside section. At one point went behind counter to meet crew, most were friendly and warm. Others were home sick and absent today. Call the office extension 800, thank u have a nice day.

Food wasn't bad. Wife liked it. I thought it was ok. Only real complaint is we ordered the Greek salad. Greek salad is usually basically everything Mediterranean in vegetable form. I know the description said lettuce as the first ingredient. But what we got was half a head of lettuce with a few pieces of cucumber 2 tomatoe slices and this powdered feta stuff. Not a Greek salad. Call it a house salad and I'm good .. but definitely NOT a Greek salad.

10/10 these guys make you feel welcome. Well spoken and great deals and food. Where else can you get a great gyro lunch special like this for 15$ drink fries and soda. Was passing through the area and glad I stopped in!

Title: "Great Town" has become my top recommendation for authentic Greek cuisine! The food is always good, fresh, and incredibly reasonably priced. You absolutely have to try the moussaka—it's fantastic. Beyond that, their salads are great, and the pistachio item (perhaps a dessert?) is also a real highlight. This place consistently delivers excellent food and is an absolute pleasure to visit every time. Highly recommended!

Love this place!!! My niece is a big fan, take her here all the time lol. Last time we went there was a young man who served us, great manners and very respectful. I think his name was Johnny? Something like that at least. 10/10 would recommend just make sure you save room for dessert!!! 🍨

Seeing the beautiful plate of hummus on the plate of a diner that was seated on the patio, I decided to pop in for lunch at Greek Town. I am so glad I made that decision because the food here reminded me why I love Greek food and took me straight back to my trip to Athens! We were greeted warmly and told to sit wherever, our server also suggested a larger table seeing that we had computers and this might be a working lunch. A round of water and a small glass of the house red because Greek wine does not give me headaches, so I was happy to enjoy a nice sip. We started the meal with hummus, you don’t even need to ask, and when I tell you it was the perfect smooth blend of all the right ingredients, plate dressed with cucumbers, tomates and a healthy dash of smoked paprika. Yes, this hummus comes with enough pita to feed three people, so no need to order extra, and I could drink that tzatziki! I decided to order something I have never eaten, so I went with the Moussaka, layers of eggplant, potatoes, and ground meat, topped with a bechamel sauce, served with peas and a side greek salad. The side salad is huge, and enough to share between two, so keep that in mind when ordering, you could choose a different side and split the salad if you wanted. I am a lover of eggplant so the Moussaka was perfect. I will say that I am not a fan of the bechamel on top. It's not needed in my opinion, but it makes the dish rich and also very appealing to the eye. Shrimp Kabobs was the second entree we tried, and this is for my lovers of succulent shrimp that has a nice smoky but hint of lemon flavor. The rice is a perfect pair and the vegetables are still slightly crisp. I did expect the shrimp to be on a skewer when served, but they were delicious just the same. I did not order dessert, who had room for any, but the baklava looked just as good as everything else, and I should have gotten a slice to go! This meal was a walk down memory lane for me, I fell in love with Greek food as I fell in love with Greece, and hopefully I will have the opportunity to visit several times in this lifetime and the next! Wonderful place! Great service - Amanda was our server and she was so pleasant and attentive. She made our experience even better! The food was delicious, fresh, and came in big portions. The lemon soup is a must!

I'm a bit torn about this review-- The food, top notch! Very generous portions and everything was fresh and delicious. Love the homemade dressing on every table too. A couple of issues though, the 3 of us got there and they had a bunch of high tables, a table of 6 and a couple of tables of 2 available. I was with 2 older handicap family members and they made us wait an until we spoke up and insisted they sit us at the table of 6 since my family members couldn't stand anymore. The decent thing would've been to just sit us there in the first place. Our waitress was very nice, but didn't come back to check on us after she brought our meals, so we did have to ask a few times for more water and napkins. The food came out fast though and the portions were very generous- and like I said earlier everything was really fresh and delicious. We got chicken gyro, a speciality salad and moussaka which I haven't had in so long! I would go back for the food, just disappointed about the waiting in the beginning.

Ordered take out from here tonight, very tasty, clean eats. Staff was very friendly and welcoming . It was very busy in there.

This one baffles me! The reviews aren't great, but the food is ! We've been eating here for several years and the food is exceptional each and everytime , for take out! We have only eaten here once and the ambiance isn't a wow factor but not dirty , just plain Jane but everyone is nice and accommodating. We tend to order take out ! The food is great, made fresh and fast! We order from here weekly! We have ordered from Greek Brothers, Avli, pita station, and mythos , and yet we tend to order here every week!

The shrimp is really charred. Tomato's are huge. The dressing was good. I wouldn't care to go back. But I left full. I expected more for a shrimp Greek salad. The wine was good. I also went mid day lunch time and had a decent crowd! Parking right across the street.

I've been going here for years. The food here is always delicious. My favorite thing to order is the salmon dinner with spinach casserole a side of rice pilaf and it comes with a salad and a pita. For the kids I order chicken kabab on a skewer with a side of rice pilaf. The prices are great. The staff are friendly. Although it is a very busy place it still has that mom and pop feel where the owner knows you by face when you walk in. It's family friendly and wheel chair accessible.

I can finally review this RVC staple since my neighbor no longer owns it. This was a small family Greek restaurant since the 1990's rivaling another Greek restaurant on Park Avenue in RVC. Consistent meals with delicious Spanakopita, lamb gyro, Greek salad. This is still a small business which employs youngsters from the neighboring towns. Good consistent Mediterranean food (the healthiest) with competitive pricing. Has a parking lot right next to it. As delicious as it has been since 1999. Cash saves you the patron dollars.

Excellent for takeout! You can dine in as well but I have ordered Greek salads with grilled chicken many times & never disappointed.

Lunch today, just perfect! Great little, comfy and friendly atmosphere. Ordered lunch special gyro platters, heads and tails better than I have had recently. Overstuffed gyros served with greek salad, huge portions and great prices. We'll be back!!

Five star service all the way around, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted and seated right away, they offer a lot here not just your traditional Greek food. They also have burgers, omelettes, which is available throughout the day, Roberta was very good, her selections and recommendations were very helpful. I started off with a nice cup of avegolemano soup , the Calimari with fries were crispy , Roberta Highly recommended, the spanakopita, and it was delicious, the Filo dough was not crispy, but very soft, Easy to cut and tasted delicious, The spinach was very fresh, had just the right amount of spice and feta cheese, I liked the skordila ( it was a little more solid as opposed to creamy) .. And I highly recommend the Gyro pizza it's a meal within itself, pita bread with sliced Gyro meat peppers and melted mozzarella, I was a big fan of the Greek meatballs (keftadakia) They were crispy, tender on the inside, with a slight taste of oregano and , mint, and a tzatziki dipping sauce...saganaki very good , it's infused with sliced tomatoes, soft & gooey, Delicious with pita bread, and, of course, squeeze in a little lemon over. It gives it a nice taste. The Pastichio (stacked high) with green peas Was great, And like any classic Greek restaurant I was so delighted that they had Youvetsi with orzo , Classic, Dish, the lamb fell off the bone. That's how tender it was, and the orzo in a tomato sauce, complemented the meal. Dessert their homemade galatoboureko was amazing , the kourabethes went well with my Greek coffee I noticed when I went, the place was almost full, and judging the interaction between the white staff and the dinners Obviously, they were repeat customers, everyone seemed happy, overall the food was delicious Greek portions, fair prices, in a very friendly and inviting staff

I have been a patron of the restaurant for over 20 years. Tonight we went to celebrate my mom's birthday. We were seated immediately with no wait. The hostess was kind and we were greeted with a smile. We proceeded to order 2 appetizers: An order of wings and an order of hummus. I asked if the pita could be on a separate plate from the veggies and hummus because I have a food allergy and she was less than thrilled to report the pita does come on another plate. With a severe allergy, I always double check. Now we continue on to order dinner. I was the 2nd to order and wanted a side of Salmon, a side of Feta and a side of French Fries. An order I have probably once every 2 weeks. The waitress was annoyed by this and was insisting it is in the "Dinner Plate". I tried to explain 3 times how they do it weekly and she was baffled. I told her I never had such difficulty ordering here and I would order my meal at the counter. She then follows me up to the counter and wants to sort of mildly argue about her service. I shared with the lady at the counter I have a food allergy and being told to order the dinner with the Spinach Pie (that I am allergic to) was not an option. She immediately was able to help me order and offered another waitress but I shared it was not necessary. I told them that as someone who comes monthly; I do not appreciate being argued with about my order. Now I go back to the table and the waitress wants to now approach other members of my party; that she had no issue waiting on them (tonight or previously). I am not sure why she felt the need to put on the pity performance; as I never asked for another waitress. A new waitress was offered and we had to order from scratch but this waitress had a much more pleasant attitude and was not argumentative in the least. My fish came out undercooked (could happen anywhere) but I did not send it back as I did not want to drag out this dinner. The other 2 members of the party enjoyed their dinner. They do accept the foodie card; we paid by credit (small up charge) and left a cash tip. Here's the interesting to me part - no apology, no check in from the owner who was there but he sent over a free rice pudding. My feeling is there were a few things that were not up to par and a simple apology or check-in could have gone a long way. To me food and service should go hand and hand and tonight was a HUGE MISS. The other two members of my party have no reservations going back. I do not feel the same and would like to patronize businesses that treat their customers with respect.

I've been coming here for close to 3 years. I was very upset the other day when I ordered over the phone and then asked if someone can bring my food to my car because I have 2 kids. The hassle of getting children out of a car and then back in it (especially when it's cold outside) is difficult. They refused to bring food to my car when they've done it previously. I truly love this restaurant but, I'm completely turned off and will most likely take my business to B Greek and GreekXpress from now on. Secondly, when I used to dine in, we would get changed for extra tzatziki when normally other restaurants don't.

Excellent food and service. Never disappoints. Lemon chicken is fabulous. Highly recommend this place.

Greek town was delicious! We went for lunch and got chicken, and lamb. It also came with a huge delicious Greek salad. Will be returning!

Ordered take out and it was all awesome! We got the lemon chicken soup, it's hearty, thick, lots of chicken, came hot. The small Greek salad with chicken, it's HUGE and lots ot toppings. The lemon potato side is massive, enough to split with 3 people easily. The gyro is also ginormous, you can easily get a side pita and make 2 gyros out of this, which we did and they were great :) everything was packaged well, showed up on time, highly recommend!

Worst Greek salad. 1 olive. 1 tiny piece green pepper 2 bites cucumber. Old feta. Worse than the food was the service.Very nasty people. They had fit when I asked for a sauce for my chicken!

I did a takeout order for 3 Gyro sandwiches and asked for the salad on the side. I got to the car and checked the order, and found that salad had been thrown in with the meat. I went back to have the order corrected. While continuing to explain what I wanted, my request landed on deaf ears because I must have explained it at least three times before the young lady behind the counter, understood what I was asking for. That I did not want the salad inside the sandwich. I was further interrogated as to whether I had asked for the gyros that way. I looked around for the young man who took my order, and he was no longer in sight. After finally understanding, the young woman behind the counter told me that I cannot have the salad in a separate container. I would have to have the salad with the meat, and the pita would be in a separate container. I asked her why it had to be done that way. She stated that her manager told her that that is how it has to be done. When I asked to speak to her manager, I was told her Manager was not there. I asked to speak to the owner, who was also not there. At this point, I told her just leave the salad off, as this was the only way I could have the meat on the pita without the salad. So I paid for three gyros and couldn't even get the salad that comes with it because they refused to pack it on the side. The whole experience was ridiculous. I told her that I will not be returning.

Greek Town has been a Rockville Centre staple for decades, family owned and very friendly owner. Greek Town is incredibly fast and reliable, you always get a great meal and a great value. Family has been coming here for decades and they always remain consistent, friendly, and delicious. Highly recommend!

The good here is so good this is by far my favorite Greek restaurant I've ever tried in my whole life evertbing from the avegolemo soup to the lemon potatoes ect are so so so delicious and not to mention the people working there are so kind and they packaged everything well and secure and with care if you order delivery or something

Grilled cheese Gyro platter Mozzarella sticks Delicious my family and I enjoyed it. Has not let me down yet and it's been a couple years I've been ordering from Greektown. My family and I popped our head in there a handful of times but we always order out with them and it's superb!.

I had high hopes for this restaurant as I love Greek food. I tasted a few things as I was with a party of 4. We split spinach pie, that was pretty good. Salad was good, but it's hard to mess up a salad. The bottled dressing on the table grossed me out. As I pushed the flip top open with my finger, all I could think of was how many dirty, germy fingers had already touched this bottle top! I ordered moussaka, UGH!! The worst moussaka I've ever eaten in my 71 years and I've eaten a lot of moussaka! First it was room temperature not hot. The meat was red and raw, the vegetables on the bottom were wet, béchamel was just ok. And what's with the canned gross peas on the side! Really? My husband had falafel sandwich, I tasted the falafel and I must say it was very good, hence why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. The tahini was good but the tzatziki was awful, tasted like plain mayonnaise. I only had a couple of bites of the moussaka, it was so awful, and my stomach has been bothering me ever since I ate it which was 4 hours ago. I will not be going back. What a waste of money.

After over 30 years of excellent food and service from Greek Town, lately I have been disappointed with takeout orders. The lemon soup is simply the best. It's impossible to find a better one on Long Island, so why can't they provide crackers to go along with it that are not stale? This has not happened just once, many times, especially with the new management. But crackers are easy to overlook, but today I took out a cheeseburger with feta and fries. The roll was burned, and the fries were uncooked. The meal was basically inedible. This is a big disappointment from one of my favorite restaurants. Also, although the salad is incredible, they have been skimping on feta cheese. I realize costs have gone up, but so have their prices therefore I really expect the same quality.

The local restaurants have been nothing short of tremendous, in supporting the community, before and during this Covid dilemma. It's our duty and pleasure to give back when they need us. Started with a crust Greek Salad tonight. Because we also don't have a huge amount of self control, and also because all (most) of their dishes were very healthy we added an order of spinach pie and , why not, an order of fried zucchini sticks. De-lish-us. Main courses : fresh and very tasty stuffed flounder and the ever reliable Greek Town Gyro. Staff is friendly and efficient. Delivery in less than 30 minutes. All in all a great choice for tonight's stay at home dining experience.

I eat there perhaps too often but once you find the dishes you love, why not eat there? Love the Soups. Service is always good and consistent. I have a few favorite entrees. Greek Town is one of the best values left in the dining world.

Not going back. I'm not sure what happened to this place. I hear it has new owners. I used to eat here often, but didn't for about two before returning in August. I ordered a Gyro entrée. It was mediocre. I assumed they were just having a bad night and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the same thing last night, and it was worse. Tzatziki sauce tastes like cucumbers and yogurt, no seasoning whatsoever. The Gyro meat tasted stale, which I don't quite understand, considering how busy they are. The pita was leathery. Flavorless rice. Very sad, I used to like this place.

Used to go to this establishment often in the last three years. New ownership has decided to nickel and dime their patrons. $ Credit card surcharge even if a Debit card is used. Surcharges for salad ( $3.00 ) if you don't want French fries with you plate meal. Even a delivery surcharge of $3.00 for delivery. The food is OK , just not worth the price for what your getting.

What happened to this place? Ordered a couple of sandwiches and fries. Chicken cold and dried out probably made hours ago. Fries cold and soggy. Your restaurant has gone from best to worst.

Ill be honest I really didn't have very high expectations for this place, and I was a little turned off by $5 for 3 falafel balls that didn't come with any tahini or anything without paying for it. Obviously I was put in place because the food was very good. -Falafel 4.5/5, nice size and not dried and bland like so much of the falafel I get from other places. These were flavorful, and dense. I very quickly got over my 3 falafel balls for $5 beef. Probably some of the best I've ever had. -Gyro Pita 4/5, when I first looked at this I wasn't very impressed. It looked like a house salad that wasn't mixed up was thrown into a pita with some meat. After a few bits I quickly realized they know what they're doing. Usually I get a messy gyro with sauce all over, here they served it on the side and everything tasted so much fresher and clean than others. Fresh meat, clean crisp lettuce & onion. I was impressed. My perception of this place was skewed at the start but I quickly realized I was wrong. Very good food, & reasonable prices. When the Greek craving strikes again I know where I'll be coming.

Sometimes you stop going to a restaurant because the service is lacking and the food just isn't as good as it used to be during the "honeymoon phase" when it first opened or when you first discovered it. With Greek Town we'd given it many chances and it just wasn't up to par. After years dining there almost weekly and having eaten almost the entire menu, I just figured it was one of those places that you'd have to get used to or accept that its high volume is what kept it open all these years. Some people don't have an appreciation for what cuisine is supposed to be. I vowed never to go back because I was tired of the same bland meat and over-salted sides. I ventured to other restaurants in my area that offered the same fare. They weren't much better. With the age of Doordash and Uber Eats we decided to give them a shot again since our kitchen was under renovation. Our usual order was large the same as what we'd ordered years ago. Souvlaki platters and gyro platters with their desserts. This time around the food was great. The meat was flavorful and the rice and peas were fresh. The dessert which I cannot spell accurately here was remarkable. I could have had that for dinner all by itself. Welcome back to my rotation, Greek Town. I've missed you. Luckily I have always believed in second chances.

Delicious food, warm atmosphere, great service staff. We Love it! There is always parking which in that area is usually hard, and it's our favorite Greek go to restaurant!

A causal atmosphere with fresh and delicious Greek food served up by the pleasant waitstaff. I could just have eaten the block of feta olives and peppers with the traditional red wine vinegar dressing as the main course. The salad was crisp and fresh like they picked it straight from the garden out back. No wonder it received an award in 2023 for best Greek restaurant. A wonderful RVC staple. Note to self, I Need to visit more often.

Best Greek food in the area! I have tried several Greek restaurants on Long Island, but nothing comes close to Greek Town. I've been going here for decades and the food is always delicious and the service is great. The portions are generous, too. Highly recommend!

I've never dined in, I've had take out. Prompt , fast and friendly service. The gyros are not bad at all. Worth giving them a shot, place does look nice on the inside.

I love this place! Each time I go, they never disappoint. I always take my gyros to go, I have never sat down in the dining area. I have not tried any of their other dishes. However, each gyro I have had has been fresh and delicious! I also have had their Lemon soup, which I truly enjoyed. The service is fast and friendly. I'm going to return soon for a sit down lunch or dinner.

I'm sorry again that we started eating before I took the picture but everything was PERFECT juicy and fresh. An the split pea soup is vegetarian (I hate meat in soups) the homemade dressing for the salad. The staff was courteous and cleaned and sanitized everything as people finished there meal Both indoor and outdoor dinning

The best falafel ever! Went there twice in one week. Loved the service and food. The pita was very fresh and the hummus was also amazing. Can't wait to go back.

I order from here once or twice a month since moving to Oceanside. I like to order from local restaurants to help support our community. After this evening's "conversation" with their manager, I will be ordering from a different Greek restaurant in the future. After placing an order and being told it would be delivered by 6:35, it was still undelivered by 6:50. When I called the restaurant, I was told it was on its way. It would be another 35 minutes before it arrived, and when it did it was cold. When speaking to the manager, there was never an apology. Instead I was told the delivery window was just an estimate and not a guarantee, was told we live too far (I live only 1 mile away), and then was told my delivery couldn't be cold. Sometimes, a simple apology is all that's needed to correct an issue, rather than argue with a customer and shift blame. While the food is normally great, the way their manager chose to handle the situation has made it an easy decision to not order from them again. I hope they learn to treat their remaining customers better in the future.

Had the Greek salad and it was ok. I would not reorder it. Will try something else in the future.

I went to Greektown for dinner after basically only getting take out from the restaurant all the time. Take out food has always been consistently good. I was very pleasantly surprised with our dinners. I got the Greek goddess with salmon which came with a great big portion of salmon on top the Way that I'd specifically requested. Someone in my family got the combo which was a generous portion and the Branzino was delicious as well as the pork chops. Our waitress was very pleasant and eager to please with a big smile on her face. I am a very big fan of salmon and I thought the dish was delicious. I will definitely coming back more often.

I went there for dinner August 13 as I have enjoyed Greek Food around the country. I even make Souvlaki at home from time to time. Sadly, there Chicken has ZERO spices on it for my dinner. The chicken was cooked properly yet, had no flavor. I did mention this to our server but, no one came by to ask anything. They must have run out of chicken in the proper marinade. The place was busy and others seemed happy with their meal but, I only tried the chicken souvlaki over rice.
