Such a beautiful garden! Not too big, we walked around in less than 2 hours. A favorite place for weddings. We enjoyed a display of statues made of washed out trash - a cool way to spread awareness and make art at the same time. They have plenty of gazebos and also a children's playground with a splash park. Clean restrooms at the visitor center.

Google
The flowers were gorgeous the first week of June and the sculptures made from trash out of the Great Lakes was so interesting! I could have spent many hours here. They have a lovely children’s section too! The winter lights are really fun too and a totally different experience :)

Google
We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect ceremony location. The Johnson Woodland Garden was absolutely stunning for our May wedding, and being able to take pictures in the other gardens was an incredible perk, which provided a gorgeous backdrop for our photographer. Working with the Botanical Garden team was also a dream! Communication with Kristin was excellent throughout the planning process. She had thought of everything and ensured that every last detail would be taken care of. Devon, our day of assistant, was also incredible! She made sure that everything ran smoothly and made me feel like I didn't have to worry about anything! We had the best day and can't thank the Green Bay Botanical Garden staff enough!

Very relaxing, be sure to wear good tennis shoes ! You can rent a scooter if your not into walking. Lots of walking and plenty to see. So much for the kiddos to do!

Google
Wonderful place. A hidden gem in the heart of the city. It is filled with beautiful flowers, scenic landscapes, and bees hard at work. There are probably at least a hundred hosta species here, if not more. I've never seen so many in one place.

Josh Labus

Google
Fantastic place, we went for an art installation. The grounds and permanent features are amazing. There is a playground and splash pad for those with kids. All the plants were well labelled.

Google
Such a beautiful area. We have been here in the winter during the light show, but never during the summer. We came here before anything was bloomed, but I can't wait to come back. The children's area was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a nice clean place to visit. We will be getting a yearly membership!

Google
Fabulous garden with interesting sculptures, structures, paths and a wonderful children’s garden/play area. Washed Ashore is on exhibit through September 2, 2025. Absolutely worth a visit, with or without the special exhibit.

Yelp
What an AMAZING botanical garden for kids AND adults! It is sort mapped like a loose maze that you won't get lost in. It really lends a feel of exploring little areas and mini trails. There is a colorful children's area with slides and a shoreline restroom building. There is a large hiking area passing by a small farming area and pond. There is also a Japanese style hilly garden. The ladies checking us in were so friendly and sweet. The gift shop is worth a look. Many things were reasonably priced.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
Young and old will enjoy this garden set up. Easy parking. Friendly personnel. Lots of entry discounts, just ask. Interesting items for sale at their gift shop with good prices. I did take their map to meander their 5 garden environments and large pond. It was quite an adventure to go through the different styles of gardens and children play areas. Best to wear good shoes if one wants to explore the pond area and beyond. Get your camera ready for some pics. Located in a somewhat warehouse/industrial area.
google avatar

Kari B.

Yelp
Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. My son loved the children's garden.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
This garden is very family friendly the garden's layout was thoughtfully designed, allowing visitors to meander through themed sections such as rose, succulent and fragrant herb beds. Each area was impeccably maintained, showcasing lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and serene water features that enhanced the overall ambiance.

Yelp
I was visiting Green Bay for just a day and after spending time at Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary and doing a Lambeau tour in the morning, I wanted to have a bit more time outside in nature before getting back in my car. What better place than the botanical garden, even though it was a hot day outside! The Green Bay Botanical Garden was more than I expected, and the beauty and variety made for a great time and good experience to end my time in the city. There is a large children's area with splash pad, tree houses, and sculptures. The paths around the gardens do a great job of meandering and getting you into different vibes as you reach different areas. A couple of my favorite spots were the Shade Garden and Spring House ruin area which had a cute little creek running through, and the English Cottage Garden. The way they developed the gardens surrounding and interacting with the buildings across both of those made for some beautiful scenes. There's also an adorable fairy garden and of course the rose garden was very pretty. As you go along the paths to the different gardens, be sure to take time to admire the sculptures as well - there are some great finds that enhance the garden landscapes.

Yelp
Such a beautiful space. Thank-you for creating pure happiness! Easy walking & mostly stroller/wheelchair accessible spaces.
google avatar

Jen T.

Yelp
I give 4 stars because the children's area was closed without any notification either online or when we paid. So, that was disappointing. However, the updating the intend for the children's area looks amazing! Otherwise, gorgeous! Hope to return when the children's area has been updated.

Yelp
After touring Lambeau field, this place popped up on YELP so decided to check this out. Wound up spending a solid 90 minutes here walking around and viewing the beautiful scenes of nature mostly in the forms of gardens and art exhibits. They offer a season pass which is quite a deal since I'd be visiting here every week with how pretty it is. Green Bay is lucky to have something like this!
google avatar

Yelp
Solid five stars! There's a huge variety of plants, themes, paths, little nooks and crannies! I would love to live near here to come and explore every day! It was a bit too much for us to tackle, given the size & heat. It was bigger than I expected!! There was a wedding going on during our visit. Hopefully we didn't end up the background! I do think this would be a lovely place for a wedding (one day...).
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
A beautiful garden setting for a lovely wedding that we attended, the botanical garden is arranged in such a way that you feel the tranquillity as you walk through the different areas. A great place to spend a few hours.
google avatar

Jack G.

Yelp
Wow! A true gem of Green Bay. The gardens and grounds are beautiful, as depicted in the photos. Extensive meandering paths and detailed labeling of the myriad plant species. Whimsical buildings add to the ambiance. A popular spot for weddings, the gardens have several areas for weddings each with their unique vistas. Pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff. These gardens are worthy of recurring visuals. Moderately priced and discounts available for advance ticket purchases.

Yelp
We had a great time walking around and seeing the beautiful flowers and gardens.!! I recommend this place if you in the area!!
google avatar

Yelp
We had time to kill before our flight. TripAdvisor had the Botanical Gardens rated as the #1 Traveler Ranked site. I was a little skeptical. It turned out to be a very relaxing, beautiful time. It was lovely to walk around and see all the tulips and other spring flowers popping. You can spend an hour or more just meandering around the property. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
An obvious choice for an afternoon stroll. Almost any season there is something new to see here
google avatar

Yelp
We planned to pay a short visit before a graduation we were attending because one website indicated it was free. However, it is not, regardless of what you see on tourist websites. Sorry I don't know which one, my spouse was doing the web driving. Went went ahead with the very short visit any way. The grounds are lovely, the tulips were in full late bloom. We had a bit of fun at a garden selfie station. However, I also enjoyed the architectural features and structures. Not sure if it is worth $12 adult admission if you are not going to fully enjoy the place. It is an ideal place to spend a hour or so on a sunny day.

Yelp
Was passing nearby on way back from Upper pennisula Michigan trip. We had to kill some time to avoid hitting Chicago at rush hour. So thought this would be a great place to check out. When we got out of the car we were greeted with a lovely strong floral smell. They give veterans discounts so if you're a vet take advantage to that.. and thank you for your service. They were open till 8 pm but the butterfly house closes at 2pm. The butterfly house was no extra cost and was small but worth a look. They have staff to left you in and exit making sure no butterflies escape or are injured. The botanical garden was smaller than I'd expected but worth the visit. They have a small man made pond. I took several pics of a duck with pinkish wings only to learn it was plastic lol. I felt a bit stupid. The pond area had tiny frogs and dragonflies. some pretty water lilies. Really nice rose area.. lots of hostasa. I we lived in the area I would definitely become a member and visit often and at all season because im sure it changes a lot for each season. I think it is worth the cost of admission but the Chicago Botanical garden is 5 times as large and dare I say much better and does not charge admission. They do charge for parking and parking is free here. But I got dropped off in Chicago so saw it for no cost. So this is nice and worth seeing but if you are traveling and only have time for 1 botanical garden .. the one outside Chicago is the best I've personally been to and if you get dropped off it will be at no cost.

Yelp
This place is so serene and beautiful. It's like a fairytale. I came here with my mom while living here in Wisconsin. If I ever come back to Greenbay, this is the first place I will come.

Yelp
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. This is a very well maintained outdoor work of art. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Neil K.

Yelp
Excellent service, staff explained their map which made it a pleasant experience. The plants and placement was very pretty.
google avatar

Yelp
Been wanting to visit for some time. I am so glad I have and will visit often. It's spring and the selection of spring flowers are plentiful. The layout of the gardens is great for a nice walk or plenty of spots to sit and just enjoy nature. The new amphitheatre looks really nice, so the summer concerts should sound sweet next to some great summer flowers. I do want to visit again. Good thing I got an annual membership now. If you love flowers a lot, they even have volunteer opportunities so you can help make the gardens as stunning as they are. Keep up the great work. I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful variety of flowers and plant life. Very pretty and has lots of great spots to capture beautiful pictures. Decor is also very nice, and adds a touch of humanity to the place. It's also free for NWTC students, so that's an added plus!
google avatar

Brook S.

Yelp
I love the classes they offer on gardening as well as the story hour in the garden for children. All of the staff are very nice and will answer all of your questions. They also offer free admission for special days like Father's Day. This is the place I love to go for beauty and tranquility.

Yelp
The Botanical Gardens are simply spectacular. They're a wonderful place for families and individuals to visit. Stepping out into the garden you find some paths before you, and you start walking and the magic begins. You are transported into a huge secret garden type setting. There's concrete paths and then woodchip trails. As you walk you stumble upon amazing plant life, and information about it. There are different areas such as a gazebo where you can gaze upon the stars, a wonderful area for kids with hidden surprises and a slide, Lego creations that are mind-blowing, and other surprises. It's truly a unique and enthralling experience. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 3-17. There are weekly concerts in the park during the summer, and around Christmas they light up the garden-which is a sight to see. Adults can enjoy yummy cocktails and hang out on a beautiful patio out back with tables to sit and chat at. I highly recommend visiting the Botanical Gardens, it's an experience everyone can enjoy. It's definitely a landmark in the Green Bay community.

Yelp
Excellent place to go for an afternoon! Beautiful, well-kept and wonderful paths. We went to see the special LEGO exhibits and were not disappointed in either the garden or the LEGO exhibits. The lego statues were carefully placed in the garden for easy viewing. They didn't distract from the natural beauty of the plants, but really enhanced the playfulness of the legos. The details on the lego displays were amazing! It is hard to choose one as a favorite...but the pansy, peacock and farmers were beyond words! The garden itself is worth the visit. It is a pleasant walk filled with elegant plants and bright flowers. It is peaceful and serene. I felt a great connection to nature here. There is a wide variety of plants to see and they are clearly marked so it is a learning experience as well. The paths are dotted with benches for those who may need a break along the way. There were also two weddings taking place the day we were there so there was a bonus of seeing beautiful brides and bridesmaids! I hightly recommend a visit here and will be going back again this fall.

Yelp
I think this might be Green Bay's best kept secret and it's a real shame because this place is kind of a big deal. Located off of Packerland Drive is over 47 acres of pure beauty. This is such a nice spot to take a stroll or even to enjoy a picnic. They have a lovely children's garden with a giant slide and "living" maze. It's a great way to discover new plants as they must have hundreds of different varieties. In spring the garden is in full bloom with over 300,000 tulips and daffodils. They have classes, music and special events throughout the year. It's handicap accessible and they even rent out electric wheelchairs. Admission is $10, but you guys!!, for just $75 a year you can bring the wife (she'll love you forever!) and kids (or grandkids) here anytime you want. We've been members now for several years and it pays for itself in no time. What's also cool about being a member is they have a great reciprocal program that gets you into hundreds of gardens around the country for FREE!! Check this place out, I guarantee you won't be disappointed

Yelp
I mean this place is just drop dead gorgeous. I highly recommend it for an afternoon stroll. I am debating getting the season pass so I can come here and read in a little corner somewhere. So many lovely little paths to explore. Because of the sheer size of the place you feel like you are all alone. The butterfly house they currently have is a treat too. I have actually come here for many years for the Christmas lights which is always cool too. I did love finally experience this place in all its glory though. I once even came here for a bridal shower it is just lovely. Come here!

Yelp
I decided to save my 300th review for a special place, and this is it! Living in Florida, it's easy to take for granted how plant life changes and flourishes based on the seasons. That said, September is a great time of year to visit the botanical gardens. We came here for a wedding reception. We had about 2 hours to stroll the gardens, and it was a lot of fun! The weather was perfect, and there were no bugs bothering us. There were chipmunks and hummingbirds hanging around too. There's a nice kids area, and they display local artwork for sale in the Lois O'Harrow Gallery. The reception hall was perfect for the occasion. If you like plant life, check this place out!

Yelp
My masters is in botany, so you all know that I love plants. This place is 47 acres of chlorophyll, carotenes and xanthophylls, all the pigments that make plants spectacular. And the plants here are spectacular. Gorgeous flowers, stately buildings, hands on features and Legos. When I saw that they had Legos statuaries, I thought they would be silly, childish and crude. Au contraire, mes amis, these artworks are amazing. Involving tens of thousands of plastic bricks and hundreds of man hours. I went from skeptical to impressed. There was a vegetable garden tended by a Lego man and his son. It was tempting to snitch a little produce. I could take most plants to their genus; but many of the species were unfamiliar to me. A humbling and educational experience for me. Walking through the pathways was a relaxing and soul clearing adventure. There is something very spiritual about being in a place like this. Nature brings us closer to a loving god; and gives us all an appreciation of what a precious gift our blue dot in space is. So go to this place. Be amazed at the statues and the explosion of plant color. Find one of the many special places, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Feel the calm and peace that will come over you. A couple of hours here could improve your outlook for days. To top it all off, there is a very nice gift shop; and the gal at the desk was very friendly and helpful. A nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Yelp
Beautiful, creative, and family friendly! No matter what time of year it is, this place is beautiful. My favorite is winter lights. They change every year and it only gets more amazing. Awe inspiring really.
google avatar

Debralee M.

Yelp
Beautiful Christmas light show. All kinds of enchanting displays. The giant caterpillar steals the show, but we loved the adorable veggie garden, the flower garden, and pond scenes. Certainly a botanical wonderland. You can take the walking tour and a horse drawn wagon ride for only $5 more. Definitely the best light show around. Bonfires to warm up, hot chocolate stations, and pictures with Santa. Dress warm!
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Fabulous place to visit! We have never gone in Fall, and it was lovely. Pleasant staff, lovely gift shop too. *In addition to wheelchairs, they now have several motorized scooters for those who need them.

Randall P.

Yelp
Beautiful garden. Astonishing for a small city like Green Bay. Highly recommended for local residents as well as for tourists. There's a lot more to Green Bay and Brown County than just the Packers and Lambeau Field (though I recommend those too)!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great place to spend a few hours wondering around in the spring or summer. There are lots of different areas to explore like the rose garden and kids area - complete with chairs hidden in trees for tots! Even if you are not a huge gardener, the quiet atmosphere and beautiful flowers are enjoyable. Check out their website before a visit as they offer a lot of community events like concerts, classes and workshops. Between Thanksgiving and New Years Day, the garden is transformed into a walkable nature-themed holiday light display.
google avatar

Rob K.

Yelp
Fantastic location for a great walk. You can feel the difference in the air. If you are a student at NWTC you can get in for free by showing your School ID.
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
The perfect place to have a great day! The grounds are perfect and getting around is easy. You won't be disappointed!

Luann C.

Yelp
Of the many gardens I have visited, the Green Bay Botanical Gardens is far above many. It is planted with every season in mind resulting in an array of beauty year around. Aside from the horticultural assets the welcome center gives you a view of the gardens and houses not only a dedicated gift shop but also classrooms and a list of classes. Summer evenings are filled with a variety of music from local musicians in a new large ampitheater in the Grand Garden. Food and cocktails are provided by local establishments. Once you visit the gardens you will want to go back. It's more than just flowers.
google avatar

Lydia D.

Yelp
Great place to spend a day. We have a 3 year old and he loves it there. Lots of beautiful plants to see, activities to do (for the whole family), nice little spots to sit and enjoy the scenery and just hang out at. We became members because we like it there so much! Can't wait to attend the music events there and keep exploring the grounds!

S Y.

Yelp
The light show was kinda wack. It wasn't great honestly. The only reason I give 4 stars is my girl and I got engaged here last night.
google avatar

Kaitlin H.

Yelp
Beautiful outing year round. I particularly love the Christmas lights this time of year.

Jodi C.

Yelp
My family of 5 visited the Garden of Lights last night, an annual tradition for about 7 years, always a memorable joy. Last night rubbed me the wrong way. We had to park at Tweet across the street when there were many open spots in the lot. Thank goodness the weather was beautiful! The greeter at the sidewalk to the entrance was an elderly man who obviously did not want to be there. He was rude and impatient and almost down-right mean, toe-tapping as he waited the 30 seconds for us to put our masks on before entering the sidewalk, with no line of people behind us. We reserved a 30 minute time slot, which I thought was to avoid people congregation due to Covid-19. As we walked the garden (beautiful as always), there was serious congestion of people, especially as you got to the rainbow arch for photos. There must have been close to 100 people jammed together at one time. Yet there were signs posted about how the garden was practicing covid safety procedures. Other than masks, I didn't see anything else implemented as a special safety precaution during our walk. I was so happy that the garden was open for us to enjoy, but extremely disappointed in the "process" and the volunteer staff.
google avatar

Greg D.

Yelp
Great time to get creative ideas and just connect with the outdoors. Great for groups or solo experience.
google avatar

Juliana M.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise this place is! We enjoyed a nice walk through all the different landscapes, sampled some bell pepper from the salsa garden and recorded ideas for our home landscape. The fee is well worth it, bring a picnic if you want because there are picnic tables by the children's garden.
google avatar

Chris N.

Yelp
A lovely garden and great place to take your out of town friends and visitors to show off the best of Green Bay. Tulips, Roses, and Magnolia to delight everyone from children to grandparents.

Scott C.

Yelp
This is a place you have to go if you're ever in Green Bay. I've taken my folks there and the garden is just gorgeous. Every year they have a Christmas light exhibit, the Garden of Lights. I volunteer for it and thousands of people go every year. It's a great event to bring the family or for a date.
google avatar

Sherwood R.

Yelp
We believe the Green Bay Botanical Garden should be a must visit place. The admission fee is reasonable, the gift shop well stocked, and the grounds delightful to walk. Beautiful flowers and trees everywhere. Well laid out paths for walking. Lots of places for sitting and admiring, even picnic areas! The restrooms are in a Hobbit House re-creation! Visit and see if you agree with us.

Taffy G.

Yelp
WELL WORTH THE $7.00 ADMISSION!!! We've been to other Botanical Gardens in other cities, but this is by far one of the best. Clean, well maintained.. wonderful variety of colors & blooms, and the sitting areas witht the statures.. Check out the gift shop, too for some wonderful instrumental CD's for sale.. we bought 2 of them...

Piper C.

Yelp
I was planning on having my wedding here at the botanical garden but after how we were treated we chose another venue. I'm not going to spend thousands on a place that treats us with such disrespect. They were very unprofessional!

Mary G.

Yelp
Spent yesterday at the botanical garden with my elderly mother. A more caring, helpful group I've not come across. They were super helpful and kind. And the gardens were absolutely beautiful.
google avatar

Leigh B.

Yelp
Beautiful building, grounds and gift shop. I can't wait to get a membership (my birthday is coming.. anyone?), and go to more events. Hopefully I will volunteer in the lovely plant clinic soon, to put my master gardener certification to use. I wanted to go before winter was over, as a new Green Bay resident, so I can see every season.
