Where to Eat at Nashville International Airport (BNA) | Eater Nashville

"I found this to be the only dining option before security, offering specialty coffee drinks and pastries like buttery croissants and chocolate-chip muffins, and there’s live music to welcome and send you off in true Nashville fashion." - Eater Staff

Great coffee, pastries, and service. You can go before you check in through TSA. It has a very cool vibe and multiple pastry options. The man who took our order was very nice. I highly recommend going here.

This great coffee shop sits prior to TSA security, on the way to baggage claim. It's a great place to greet arrivals here at Nashville Airport. Great coffee concoctions, gluten free maple pecan muffins, huge scones, cookies and a donut muffin, offering the best of both. The venue sits next to a stage that frequently hosts a musician or two for welcoming local music. Also has one big TV. Wheel chair accessible venue with accessible tables and chairs, low counter for service. Wheel chair accessible men's and women's restrooms with grab bars and hands free in airport central area.

My spouse deplaned and wanted to grab a coffee, bc of a 2 plus hour drive to her destination. There was only one person working there was loud live music this contributed to her order going completely wrong she ordered a cafe latte w/skim milk what she received was a chocolatey drink that had sugar. (Our guess is that it was a cafe mocha) this was not discovered until she was well away from the counter. The mix up caused a migraine as chocolate is a trigger. The sugar was an issue as she has been on a no-sugar diet for some time. I will be flying out of BNA in the future this will not be a stop for coffee.

Turmeric Latte is delicious! Cinnamon muffin was warm n delicious too. Service was fast.

Google
I ordered a strawberry smoothie. It was fresh but didn't have much strawberry flavor. However, it's the only place where I could wait for someone in BNA. Next time, I think I'll order coffee instead."

For us coffee lovers, Green Beans is a welcomed change from Starbucks. Their black coffee is smooth, non-bitter, and just fantastic, but so SO hot!! Be careful, truly. I mean, I like my coffee piping hot, but I had to take the lid off and let it cool a bit. I relaxed here while waiting for a friend to land. Most of the tables have enough room for your luggage. It's an airport coffee shop, so don't expect too much. But between the live music and good coffee, I had a great experience.

Yelp
First impression of this place was that it had a weird name but we gave it a shot anyway and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Banana-Strawberry smoothie and it tastes like real fruit which is awesome! Especially for airport food. Smoothie is a 7.3/10 Customer service 7/10 Green leather couches 3/10

Yelp
The place smelled great when we left the airport so coming back though we grabbed a coffee. I got a black iced coffee. It was fine

Yelp
The pictures of the food on the menu do *not* represent what you get at all. Not even the food displayed in the glass is what you get. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich bc the croissant in the case looked so good. When I got it I thought it was the biscuit one by accident bc it was a small, round flat and biscuit shaped and dry - but was told that was actually the croissant and they don't use the same ones on display to make the sandwiches. So I paid extra for the croissant and got whatever that was. False advertising at its best Coffee was pretty good and service was fine but that bait and switch left a bad taste in my mouth for this place.

Yelp
The only reason why I gave this place 5 stars is bc they have BNA Arts at the Airport and the band today was fire. Joe West Trio. Look them up! I liked that the music was good and the seats had electrical outlets. The shop itself didn't have any breakfast sandwiches available which is most of their menu. I got a water and a juice.

Yelp
Green Beans Coffee sits right outside the South Terminal exit. While most people access on their way out of BNA, you can access before you head through security...as long as you drink it all first! I swung by on my way out during my latest trip as the lines for the other local and/or national coffee shops inside of the terminals were all too long. There is a decent space with several tables and counters, all of which had easy access to plugs. Their menu consists of all the coffee shop standards including hot or cold coffees, specialty coffees and teas along with assorted pastries and breakfast items. The also have a grab and go area with bottled drinks and chilled snacks and meals. As I was passing by and headed out, I popped in for an iced mocha. Prices weren't that bad considering it was an airport, but the product was lacking. I ordered my coffee and the barista pulls out a big plastic container from the fridge and haphazardly pours my coffee into a cup that is barely coated with chocolate sauce. He then shakes it around and slides it over. Again, know it is an airport spot, so it gets a lot of traffic, wear and tear...but the cleanliness here was lacking. The accessory station was littered with trash, not well stocked, while the floor was also showing a need for a good sweeping. Overall, Green Beans was just ok. When that need for a coffee hits on the way out of BNA and options are limited, I don't have issue stopping by Green Beans.

Yelp
This place was my saving grace. A nice big, open layout perfect to accommodate travelers who need a place to take a break. I had a very long break before my next flight. I was so early, I wasn't able to check in either so the location of this pre-security coffee shop was perfect. I found a nice and secluded corner of the shop to post up to work. The coffee here was okay, but the workers here were super nice and upbeat. I spent 4 hours here and the time passed quickly. No real vegan options besides the granola and black coffee but I came prepared with food so I was okay. Added some Death Wish instant coffee to the watered down brewed coffee I got and it was adequate. Grateful this was here so I could have a comfy place to work!

Yelp
If you're looking for a snack or beverage pre-security (south side) at BNA, Green Beans Coffee is an excellent choice. On 12/23, I had the pleasure of visiting and was blown away by the quality of their drinks and customer service. Chelsay prepared the best spiced chai tea I've had in a very long time--truly exceptional. As someone who frequents coffee houses across the U.S. and Europe, I can confidently say this chai stood out for its perfectly balanced spices and creamy texture. The customer service was top-notch. Chelsay was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience delightful. With only two options for refreshments in this area, Green Beans Coffee really shines. Highly recommend stopping here for a quick drink or snack before heading through security and while waiting for someone to arrive! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
The coffee was good, but the service was a little inattentive and they didn't have much in the way of food or snacks. Of course, I don't expect much from a place located in an airport, but with all the updates at Nashville airport it feels like Green Beans Coffee should be better. I was happy with the coffee, but the rest of the experience was lacking.

Yelp
Came by because they offer a 32 ounce cold brew on their menu. After ordering I was informed they only have 16 ounce cups which would have been fine since two 16 ounce cups hold the same amount of coffee as one 32 ounce cup. Unfortunately I was told they could not sell it to me that way, if I wanted 32 ounces of coffee I would have to buy two 16s separately. Attached the menu for reference. To emphasize - this isn't the employee's fault, this is what they were told. Even so, it's a racket. Get your coffee elsewhere in the terminal.

Yelp
Very good coffee. I don't understand the low Yelp score. If you are headed to the baggage claim area, this coffee shop is just outside security and on the way. It's worth bypassing the long lines in the terminal and getting coffee here!

Yelp
Caucasian female cashier rude and nasty as hell. I had to wait for a colored worker named CJ to give me my order which was the pecan waple muffin. The 2 Caucasian young men behind me got there order before mines. My boyfriend right behind me ordered, she got his order and no he isn't black.

Yelp
Arrived a couple hours before I could check my bags so limited to what is available before security and there are ZERO vegetarian options. Staff very friendly but how they don't even have a salad that doesn't have chicken on it is extremely frustrating. Nashville Airport you have to be better.

Yelp
You may have found yourself in a similar situation: stranded at the airport late in the evening; or ... in my case waiting at the airport for a friend whose flight was delayed; you're hungry or thirsty or bored and just want something to take your mind of the in"terminal"able wait. BNA, Nashville International Airport was my latest hurry up and wait scenario. Fortunately it was just before 10 pm, so while the food court had buttoned up for the day, Green Beans Coffee Company was still (thankfully) open. Being this late in the day meant they had limited food on hand, but there was a bit of soup left in one kettle, and coffee just waiting to scorch someone's lips or tongue. Green Beans Coffee is located near Baggage Claim #3 at BNA and is open from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm. I ordered a Double Expresso Americano (decaf at this hour) and asked the server to leave room for cream. He prepared it fresh and exactly as I ordered, leaving enough room for some half and half. And, fortunately for me, enough room to plop in a handful of ice cubes. The cubes were most assuredly needed because, even after sitting for a short while at one of the small tables (some with rocking chairs) near the coffee kiosk, the coffee was still super-duper-screeching HOT. A short wait later, it finally cooled enough for me to sip and enjoy a delightful cup of full-flavored Joe. Speaking of "Joe", check out their "Cup of Joe for a Joe" donation program that provides a cup of hot coffee along with a personal message - from you - to one or some of our troops serving away from home. I know I sure would have appreciated this service in 'Nam in 1967-68. So a big tip of the hat to this operation.) A varied, albeit small, selection of foods is available during the hours listed, but, as mentioned above, at end of this day only a few muffins and brownies remained - along with that aforementioned last cup of soup purchased by the Flight Attendant in line ahead of me. Their normal menu at BNA includes Breakfast Bagels and Croissants, Oatmeal, Salads and Sandwiches, Juice, Chips, Yogurt Parfaits, Muffins, Brownies and Cinnamon Rolls. This of course in addition to an array of Expressos, Blended Drinks, Italian Soda, and Teas. That's a decent selection for a small kiosk. By the way, you can order ahead on line and pick up your food and drink on-the-go if you're in a hurry. The main photo on their website seems to imply that broader selections might be available at other locations - so visit their website, check out the locations for your next layover or incoming relative "terminalibus longius insidias" (extended terminal wait.)

Yelp
Good coffee but my 24 oz (large cup) was at most 2/3 filled. When you pay $9 with tip you expect a full cup. Disappointed but these guys have a monopoly on coffee in Nashville airport

Teresa B.

Yelp
I AM BLOWN AWAY!!! Snow storm and so many people stranded BUT this establishment is serving the masses! So efficient, they are like synchronized swimmers. Orders being placed are filled by employees hearing the request and just delivering to counter. The option for beverages and food range from soup, sandwiches to lattes and wine and beer. Chocolate croissants. And more. This staff hopefully is appreciated by their management team!

Nelly R.

Yelp
Baristas here are super friendly shoutout to Tonny he knew exactly what I wanted even though I didn't know. Strong coffee which is also something I love because I hate buying a coffee that doesn't make me feel caffeinated.

Kayla S.

Yelp
The cold brew gave me severe stomach cramps, anxiety, and a headache. I'm able to tolerate a Starbucks cold brew perfectly fine, but Green Bean's left me debilitated for the rest of the day.

Yelp
Good coffee, fast coffee. What more can you ask for at an airport? They also provide you with friendly service, sandwiches, yoghurts or snacks. You have a couple of tables too, close buy in case your waiting for someone.

Andrea B.

Yelp
Terrible customer service and the worst chicken biscuits my husband and I have ever had. Do not waste your time or your money here.

Yelp
I am updating my review to reflect the fact that the company went above and beyond to make my experience better. I appreciate the fact that I was contacted and apologized to regarding my experience.

Yelp
It's weird, whenever I get Green Beans Coffee (located in front of luggage carousel number 2), I can barely drink the stuff in the first few sips; however, when I reach the bottom of the cup, it's actually a pretty good bit of coffee. I don't know how to explain this, but it's hard to rate a cup of coffee when you both enjoyed it and hated it! The prices are decent, and they have some edibles, although I've never tried them. One thing I don't like about them is that they look a lot like Starbucks, which is an immediate turn-off for me. But I do like their support of the military, and their donations to TAPS and Soldiers' Angels, so I'll buy a cup whenever I'm in the airport, because I love a cup of coffee, and I like support supporting the troops. So, my guess is that I'm the only one who finds the coffee bad and then good in succession. Give it a shot as you're walking out of the airport.

J M.

Yelp
Some of the worst coffee I've ever had. I got a large coffee at the Nashville airport and ended up not even drinking it and instead had the free instant stuff from my hotel. It tasted so weak and as if they'd run too much water over the same beans over and over. Fast food coffee is better than this and half the price.

Yelp
I went in search of some ginger-ale to soothe my upset stomach. Instead, I found the highly recommended peach ginger tea. I heard one of the clerks say she drinks hers cold. I got mine hot. It was suggested I sweeten it with honey and add lemon (They have packets of lemon juice). I could have done without the lemon. Next to this kiosk there are rocking chairs. Sipping warm peach tea in a rocking chair while waiting for my ride definitely made me feel like my Tennessee vacation was already in full swing!

Yelp
I don't usually post high reviews for coffee shops but this place has great Chia.

Yelp
I own a coffee shop and usually hate coffee in airports. I just had a great cappuccino!!!

Yelp
Really really slow. All I ordered was 2 shots of espresso and it's taken 10 minutes. Terrible customer service and low quality espresso.

Yelp
great iced coffee! cup sizes a little larger than Starbucks and roughly the same price. placed conveniently near the annoying baggage claim so for those who are without luggage, go have a cup of green bean!
