Cool old brick interior building with a long bar as well as a small upstairs seating area. There was a two man band outside when I visited and they sounded great. The raz and lemonade slush were really good. Great location cool brewery. I love the way people just pull up a chair outside the entrance and hang out.

Google
Awesome little brewery in a small old building downtown. Live music on a Sunday afternoon was a pleasant surprise. The acoustic guitar & piano duo were fantastic entertainment (/joshallisonmusic). The beers were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was spectacular in this old building. Definitely a must-stop destination.

We stopped by this afternoon after a early dinner. The beer was very good. We had the Hefeweisen, Dominant Red and Tarimisu Milk Stout. Service was great. We'll be back. I'm guessing most of the folks there were frequent customers.

Loved this spot in downtown Huntsville. Super nice staff, drinks and food menu. We happened to be there for brunch and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Google
Came here for coffee and really enjoyed the atmosphere!! It’s pretty upbeat and had a good crowd when we were there. Overall, it’s central to downtown, so really convenient if you’re out and about strolling or coming from work at the courthouse or something. I knocked a star simply because the coffee was okay, not strong in flavor and there was a strange aftertaste. Also was hoping for a larger coffee, but the small was already pricey so we stuck with that. We would definitely love to come back for the beer. They had great selections of local beers / drafts to choose from, and it seemed like a great place to study or hang out with friends.

I stopped by here on St Patrick’s day. It was pretty busy but one bartender working. I felt bad for her because she was in a bad mood. I am from the east coast and was visiting. I asked for a flight, and she made a face. I asked if she would be mad if I got one and she said yes. She then did not offer a single sample of anything and looked annoyed I was asking about the different types of beers. I got a pint of the dry Irish stout, tiramisu milk stout and the dominant red ale. All middle of the road, nothing stood out. The place was super dark and dim lighting, hard to see. Service was bad and I get it, it’s a holiday and you’re by yourself. But management failed that bartender and set her up for failure. One bartender for a holiday around drinking. If I’m ever in town again, probably won’t stop by.

Google
Great atmosphere and music! If you want to hear music, come here. Drink beer and sit quietly? Come here! Have great craft beer? Come here! The staff knows their beer, and the bartender came by and offered local donuts from Sugar Belle. A TV in the back is good for folks who want to watch a game. All together a fun place! They also have a few things up for order if you're hungry, or you can order Grub South from a kiosk! Great location downtown.

Google
Love this brewery! The atmosphere is great! Plenty of seating while keeping decent distancing. The staff is super friendly, and is willing to take time to deep dive all the different beverages they have to offer. They have some of the most interesting beers there, and man are they good! Plan on visiting this place regularly, especially after a good run downtown. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Cute brewery-beer was good. Nice outdoor music. Staff was friendly. Good vibe in the brewery and outdoors as well.

Yelp
Spent the night in Huntsville, Alabama on the way down to Florida and wanted to try a local brewery. Staff very friendly. Beer Quality and selection average. I did have a mulberry cream ale that was decent. All of the other beers average at best. The building itself was very cool. I believe they said it was built in the early 1800s. They had the original structural beams in there. They do have bagels and finger foods but nothing extra extravagant. It's in a historical area of town. A lot of Victorian and early 1800 architecture. The walk was enjoyable from my hotel. But overall the venue was average as far as beer quality.

Yelp
Stopped in for a flight and a snack. First off, love that they had boiled peanuts. We were just visiting from Indiana so it was fun to try, and they were delicious. As for the beer they were pretty good. My favorite was the blonde. My boyfriends favorite was the honey wheat. The earl grey was interesting to try, we've never had anything like that. That's a beer I'd like to drink cold by the pool in the summer, so refreshing. We weren't huge fans of the mulberry imperial cream ale. It had a nice flavor right when it hits your tongue but the after taste is very very sweet, which isn't our favorite. Overall a great little brewery to try in Huntsville!

Yelp
This is a great spot located right off Huntsville's historic downtown square. This is a fantastic area with a lot of great places to visit. This is nice brewery with a good live music calendar. There seems to be a decent number of regulars here and they have a good selection of their own beer along with some other interesting beverage options. They also allow open containers outside with a "purple cup" during certain times so hopefully they can eventually gain full go cup freedom like New Orleans has. Overall this is a pleasant spot to grab a beer and relax. My video review of Green Bus Brewing is here: https://youtu.be/2_RobkIZ6Vs

Yelp
Green Bus is just one of those places you have to see for yourself. There is pretty good selection of their own brews. The staff has always been nice and helpful with recommendations. I like their IPAs on tap - they usually have more than one to try.

Yelp
Downtown Huntsville. Our 8th stop on the Huntsville Beer Trail -- we were determined to get that dang bottle opener!!! LOL. But this stop was great. In an old building. Right in the center of the city. Loved the hippy vibe. Beers were good. The beer flight carrier was fun as well. Were told a local artist designed and cut them out.

Yelp
Was recommended to visit Green Bus Brewing when I was staying in Huntsville for several weeks. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it definitely had a very laid back vibe. The plastic cups on the outdoor patio was a nice touch although we specifically sat inside. I wished they had asked if we were going outside because I would have preferred the glass being offered on the first order - order number two they fixed it when I asked for glass Staff was great - I had several questions about the different options and tried a sour and then a mead. They let me taste the sour prior to getting the whole pint (it was excellent) and will be a go to from now on. The bathroom is in the way back and the lock was broken and could not be locked which is minor and probably will be fixed. Overall my advice is give it a try - the brewery is one of the better ones in the whole area the vibe is amazing and your biggest problem will be figuring out what to try. I liked the beer better then the mead so I'd stick to that side of the board

Yelp
Friendly servers, welcoming environment and decent beers -- some of the best beers in HSV.

Yelp
Looked like a great place, walked in and had good ambiance, but.... Unlike what's posted, they do not allow dogs. Only Service Dogs. Which is unfortunate because Migo isn't certified yet. Anywho, I had the blonde, paid my tab and left. Please allow dogs. It's Migos goal to hit all the breweries.

Yelp
Wonderful place. Love the ambiance and interior aesthetic. Great, helpful, friendly customer service. Eclectic menu. I'd recommend this place for craft beer fans!

Yelp
Stopped here to get a drink for the ghost tour. I decided to try their Apple pie cider, which was amazing for fall. They have the famous purple cups for to go drinks. Also a craft beer trail stop but I forgot my passport. Boo.

Yelp
On a self guided walking tour of Huntsville, which included stops on a "craft coffee trail", we happened upon this place. Total transparency: I needed a restroom after so many cups of coffee so we wanted to order something and not be rude just using their facilities. As I was on a coffee trail challenge (10 spots earn one a coffee mug) and it was still quite early in the day I wasn't up for a beer so I ordered a flavored seltzer, not usually my thing but it was really delicious and refreshing. Being early in the day, there was just one other couple in there. It was quiet and dark, could've been kind of dismal if not for the great conversation with the barkeep. We noticed all the great music related art work which got us to talking about music.... For quite some time. Turned out to be a lovely little break from our coffee trail. IT ALSO LED TO HIM TELLING US ABOUT THE CRAFT BEER TRAIL which we also partook in. I look forward to visiting Green Bus on a return trip to Huntsville.

Yelp
Good beers! Love the selection, some easy quick bites, and excellent service. Highly recommend this spot

Yelp
Strong dark was a really good beer! The IPAs in our flight were okay, but not great. They had three food items, quesadilla, chips and salas and boiled peanuts. The quesadilla was actually pretty good!

Yelp
A decent brewery that is part of a surprisingly decent sized craft beer community in Huntsville, Alabama. I know of at least seven craft breweries located in Rocket City. The brewery is located in downtown Huntsville and has a friendly, welcoming vibe. I must say on this last visit I tried their English style pale ale and enjoyed it. This is a good spot to while away some time and satiate your thirst. Check it out and if you have a moment, sample some of the other local breweries that are defining craft beer in the Huntsville area. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We were visiting from out of state. They were helpful and friendly in recommending what to try. Beer was very tasty. Brewery has a small town feel to it. We would definitely return.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a beer. The bartender was awesome and the owner is a pleasure to chat with. The stout was awesome.

Yelp
Love Greenbus! Their mead is always awesome! We always end up here after a night of good food.

Yelp
I visited one weekend on a recent day trip to Huntsville. They were really doing a great job mandating people wear their masks. Their policy at the time was you could only remove your mask while drinking. However, I wasn't drinking at the time because I was too hot. The bartender brought me a glass of water and told me about the policy, which I felt was a really nice way of enforcing the rule. Unfortunately, they were all out of ciders when we visited. However, their kombucha is soooooooooo good. I honestly think it's the best I've ever tried. And the small size comes in the cutest glass :) The prices are CHEAP, the service was friendly, and I could see this being a great place to have board game night or something during non-COVID times (maybe during covid times if you keep it small?). I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm in Huntsville.

Yelp
Green Bus Brewing is an awesome, small brewery in downtown Huntsville that keeps a plethora of different unique beers on tap at cheap prices ($5.50 a beer) with lots of variety and flavor. They brew in small batches, so while they do have staple beers they are often changing up the styles and flavors available. This makes coming to Green Bus regularly a nice perk so you can see what's new. The interior is a little small and cozy, and sometimes they have live music but never anything too loud for conversation. Staff has always been friendly and quick to make a suggestion. Grabbing a to go beer in a purple cup is always a great way to spend a Friday or weekend stroll around the downtown. They have limited food, which is understandable given the small space, but I believe they also have a Grub South station in case you want to order in. Would absolutely recommend to anyone coming through the downtown area.

Yelp
Low key, comfy brick-walled place with friendly staff on a Saturday afternoon. Watermelon wheat was refreshing. They have adult slushies that is like to try next time. Reasonable prices.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly micro brewery right downtown. Lineup consists of 10-12 beers and several meads. You know you're in Alabama when you see they serve boiled peanuts. If you like to sample the local Huntsville beers give this place a try. You won't go wrong with dad bus dunkelweizen, or the dominant red. Parking available on the street or in a nearby lot.

Yelp
I love seeing the continuing trend of craft breweries in Huntsville. Green Bus is in a great, rustic, location downtown and is just a hop-and-a-jump from Commerce Kitchen and Harrison Brothers. It is dog friendly and includes some really great beers. I opted for the Bus Rye'd Pale Ale and it was delicious. It was buttery, flavorful, and 6.8% ABV...highly recommend it if you like mid-to-dark ales. The ambiance of Green Bus is great and is in a wonderful location downtown. Definitely give it a try when you're out near the square.

Yelp
Green Bus Brewing is one of my favorite breweries in Huntsville. They have a small, cozy taproom in the downtown area and a diverse beer menu featuring everything from ales to IPAs. I'm a big fan of their meads and ciders -- during the holiday season, their unique gingerbread mead is my personal favorite. Green Bus has seating inside and a few chairs outside. You can also get your beer to go in a purple cup and enjoy it while walking around Huntsville's entertainment district.

Yelp
Visited Green Bus Brewing about 3 wks ago. Great service, friendly atmosphere and good beer. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they don't have food other than the chicken quesadilla.

Ellen D.

Yelp
Great location! There's beer. Witchy (but not in the festive way) blonde bartender (Danielle).

Yelp
Great place. Lots of new beers on tap! Love the cider. We went their for our mystery book club meeting! They are awesome!

Yelp
Finally got to try Green Bus while I was in town. If I was rating on beers, I might even rate a bit higher, as they did well on a wide variety of styles, but there are both pluses and minuses. The atmosphere is rather plain. Not unusual for a microbrewery, but after visiting so many, this is very downplayed, even for a micro. I had the bartender select my flight for me, and I was, overall, pleased. I was especially impressed with their pumpkin spice cider. I am not a huge fan of pumpkin spice, but I felt it was nicely blended with the cider in this one. The rest of the flight was rated between 3 and 4 on Untappd. I was least impressed with the IPA I tried. It was the Blood Orange Milkshake, which is one of the lactose infused beers. These can be hit or miss with me. The Oktoberfest was a nice marzen style, and the Blueberry Tart hit the spot. If they do other tarts similar, I could definitely see them as a winner. Nice bar. Friendly staff. Good service. I would definitely consider a return trip.

Yelp
My husband and his friend and I went here one night. I've never been able to find a beer that I actually like. I can say that their peach beer was one of the best tasting beers I've ever had. You can get samples of their beers for $2.50 so that is very nice! I'm not a big beer drinker but it seemed to be a very popular place. I wasn't a fan of the feel of the place; however, it is a hood place to have a beer and a conversation.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Dark and not very friendly...serviced us flat beer and when we questioned it they said they knew. They said it's not carbonated enough....They served it anyway!
google avatar

Yelp
Atmosphere is great and bartenders are friendly. This brewery has stepped it's game up since opening a couple years ago. The location - right across from the courthouse downtown - makes it an easy walk from anywhere in the downtown area. Great "flagship" beers on the menu and there are some excellent seasonal that pop up. Music almost every weekend. Sometimes I don't even check to see if there's going to be live music, I just bank on it and head that way. This is a nice get away from the often crowded breweries surrounding the outskirts of downtown. Very much recommended. OH, and they have snacks!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I stopped in for a drink with a few people today, and the drinks were good. I had a cran apple cider, and I tasted the house made muscadine mead. A good place to stop for a beer.
google avatar

Keith P.

Yelp
An amazing corner pub atmosphere with superb handcrafted brews and some of the best bartenders you'll find. If you want a laid back place to have an incredible IPA or dark beer, or handmade hard cider, then this is the place for you. Plus, they have great guitarists later in the evenings. It's a bar you can call home. 6 stars.
google avatar

Ryan P.

Yelp
Not the best selection and staff not helpful when asked about recommendations. Pricing was fair though.
google avatar

Justin H.

Yelp
Small time local brewery with unfortunately a lack of atmosphere. The decor and renovations are top notch but the atmosphere is sub par. If you are one of the first to arrive with a handful of people it's almost as quite as a library. I asked twice and I know two other people in my group of twelve asked as well for the manager to turn up the music so the awkward silence taking over the bar in between our conversations would go away but he was not very receptive to our requests. The music is probably a decimal below whatever level elevator music is usually at and only can be heard if standing at the front door. Once a crowd takes over the bar that awkward silence goes away but music would boost this spot's prestige. Probably won't be back but may give them another shot in a month or so. Best of luck to them!

Yelp
Cool setting , friendly people , and most importantly great beer Great addition to the downtown scene

Yelp
Lovely brewery. Nice range of beers and ciders, nice and helpful service. They also have a range of board games to choose from.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoy craft beers and make a habit of frequenting the great breweries Huntsville has to offer. Downtown Huntsville is a beautiful place to hang out albeit a little sleepy. Something missing from downtown on the square was a fashionable urban atmosphere to sit and enjoy those crafty suds. Green Bus Brewing is just what we were looking for! The brewery's located in an old, historical storefront right in the center of town. The owners have turned the space into a nice taproom with great attention to the history of the structure. Everything fits nicely, even the front of a green VW microbus mounted to the wall. I would describe it as tasteful, comfortable and casual. They have many different beers on tap, brewed upstairs in the same location. My wife and I tried the Tiramasu Milk Stout and Hazel Bus Brown. Our favorite local beer has been Rocket Republic's Astronut but the Hazel Bus Brown is as good or better! We can't wait to go back for more and to try the others. I can see spending a lot of time here...

Yelp
GBB is my favorite place in town to relax and hang out. They have a great selection of unique nano-brews. Everything is made in small batches almost daily, so the selection always changes and it's always fresh! The history of the building and surrounding areas is so neat, and the intricate details of the architecture and previous space shine through. It's not a loud smoky bar and is excellent for meeting friends after work and actually carrying on a conversation without yelling. They have no problem with you bringing in a sammich or pie from Sam & Dave's or any other downtown establishment, and participate in the purple cup program downtown in the weekend, so you can take your GBB to go. They do growlers and howlers too! GBB is a gem downtown, and the crew who run it are top notch. It is a must see/drink when visiting The Rocket City!

Leslie H.

Yelp
They are NOT following CDC Covid guidelines. Was there for over an hour and not once did they clean the bar top or table tops. New people would come in and sit at a dirty table!!
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Green Bus is an outstanding downtown addition to the craft brewing scene. The tasting room's physical space is highly appealing -- a warm, inviting break with the occasionally seen warehouse / garage vibe. The beertenders were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. And, most important, the beer offerings were excellent ! I particularly grooved on the Hop Bus IPA. Samplers, pints and growler fills available.
google avatar

Guy B.

Yelp
I'll caveat this by saying I've been to many many craft beer establishments around the US. I always like to check out breweries in new areas I travel. My first time to Huntsville and I've explored a few so far. This place was on my list but is only open Thurs - Sun so had to wait a few days. I was not disappointed! It is very laid back in a beautiful old and tastefully decorated building. I had 4 beers and they were all spot on for their style, best quality I've had while here. The Hazel Bus Brown was my favorite, nice nutty flavor, reminiscent of what Newcastle used to be. Super friendly owners and staff. It is a rare occasion for me to find a craft beer place that I'm super enthusiastic about. This is one. Please, give this place a try.
google avatar

Brandi H.

Yelp
Great unique beer flavors and good atmosphere and right in downtown! This place has the microbrew feel but also the feel of an established place with the look, size, crowd, and live music. A definite to visit!
google avatar

Yelp
I travel a lot for work and I make it a point to visit every local brewery in the area when I travel. I was crazy impressed by the beer here. I tried every single one they had on tap the day I visited and I liked every one of them. I was impressed not only by the quality by the diversity of the selections. It wasnt the same old tired 4 IPA's, 2 stouts, and an imperial of either. These guys mixed it up. I really appreciated this place and cant wait to go back. Not 5 stars simply because the place was quiet. I went early dinner time on a Friday and there was no music at all. Had there been some tunes to vibe out to, this place would have been 5 stars for sure!! As far as beer goes, one of the best I've been to.

Ash V.

Yelp
What a great place to have a beer or cider. Pet friendly and kids are ok too. We have twice and always enjoyed our time. Gluten free? Get the ciders, always great! My husband gets the beers and kids a soda. The environment is relaxed and clean. The staff is great and prices are good. We will continue to visit.

Jackie H.

Yelp
First time at the Green Bus, definitely will be a place we stop back at next time we are in Huntsville! The VW ambiance will bring you back to the 70's!

Steve D.

Yelp
Skip the swill at the rest of the big breweries in town. This is easily the best beer in Huntsville. Excellent quality and perfected brewing process. This is in my top five breweries of the south. The beer here is expertly crafted and super clean. I'll be back for sure, even though it's a 3 drive from south of Birmingham

S H.

Yelp
My new favorite place. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. Good variety of beer. The beertenders are nice and friendly. They allow dogs inside. Definitely a great place to meet friends and hangout.
