Best Brewery Eats in San Diego

"Brewer Jeff Bagby and his wife, Dande, own this sprawling complex that houses a brewery and full kitchen. Bagby’s last stint before striking out on his own was at Pizza Port, and he carries with him a long career brewing beer in San Diego county. The kitchen bills itself as full-scratch, making everything in-house except for bread and tortillas, which are sourced locally. The kitchen also features a plant-based section of their menu." - Jackie Bryant

Amazing Beer & Delicious Food! This place had amazing Pizza, but their burger and tots were my favorite. The burger was cooked perfectly and was packed full of flavor. The tots were crispy on the outside and moist inside. Their beer overall was top notch but, their IPAs were delicious. This place was nicely spaced out and totally family friendly. Definitely a great place for people watching while enjoying delicious food and amazing beer.

Google
I love this brewery! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their beers! I live in San Diego and often make the drive to Oceanside for this beer! Their Paloma seltzer is my partner's favorite and we buy cases at a time. Their pizza is delicious. You can judge a pizza based on their basic cheese and it is making my mouth water as I type this! Their ranch is absolutely delicious too! I love a place that has options or subs for vegetarians and they check that box too. If you love beer and good food, definitely make this a stop on your list.

Stopped in for a quick beer on the way to dinner on a Monday. The selection was good and being quieter when we arrived, meant the service was quick. By the time we left, the venue was getting busier. Only beer, no food. 🍻

Chill vibe, good food, great selection of beers, huge outdoor space. My husband and I each got food and a beer- I got the Baja fish tacos and my husband got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The tacos were delicious- they came with chips and black beans and salsa. I wish they had a grilled option, but the battered fish was very good. They did have a spicy kick to them. My husband said the buffalo sandwich was good- good chicken but maybe a bit over sauced. We both got the Just One Thing… Citra hazy IPA and loved it. Plenty of outdoor space and room to hang.

We've come to Green Cheek at least a couple of times: once a few days ago and once during a "Sip Stop" at the Taste of Oceanside event held every year. We were impressed with the pretzel bites we had and on the second visit, we had a small flight of beers. Overall this is a nice addition to Oceanside. I am curious to see if they close the windows to the outside when it's cold. We ordered the Cheeky Style Fries and added jalapenos. This was so good! I would order it every time we come and it's big enough that it will fill up two bellies. But eat fast before the cheese gets cold. The beers were good, but I do wish they had more options. I love Belgians and some higher ABV options but sadly didn't have one that wasn't an IPA. Next time we'll try the white pizza!

Google
My favorite place to play trivia. It’s a very indoor-outdoor vibe, so it can be busy when the weather is nice. The food menu (recently updated with some new options) has some solid choices. Lots of drink options including beer (brewed here and elsewhere), wine, cocktails (with more selection available when Beaker’s is open in the back), and some NA options. Plus, the branding (and therefore the merch) with little cartoon parrots is adorable.

Google
First visit to Green Cheek since they took over Bagby. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was very tasty, with strong, bold sauce. It's worth the extra cost for tots. The kids cheeseburger was well received too, though seems a bit overpriced. The rest of the menu is reasonably priced and there are several other items I would like to try in the future.

Google
Excellent food and a great selection of beer. This has always been an awesome location. The staff is exceptionally helpful, the variety of beer is great and there is tons of seating. It's a perfect place to spend time any time of day, but it's particularly wonderful during sunset where you can enjoy the outdoor areas or giant open bar spaces.

Yelp
5 stars for the beer For all you soccer/lacrosse tournaments at the SoCal Sports Complex, this place is suitable for large groups, and it's close to the fields. BEER: Green Cheek beer is one of my #1 favorite beers, especially for their Hoppy Pilsners, which many breweries don't brew. If you're looking for something light but still packed with flavor, then you need to try Green Cheek. They also offer wine and a small selection of mixed cocktails. VIBE: This location was fantastic when it first opened. It was lively and packed with people. All three downstairs bars were open, and it was a cool place to hang out. I recently went there to find out that the back bar is closed indefinitely; bummer. The vibe felt different, too, but not in a bad way - just more laid-back than before. We may have gone at a bad time. (2 PM)? FOOD: Food is whatever, typical bar food, nothing to brag about. Honestly, I don't go there for the food, just the beer. There are a few items for vegetarians on the menu. SEATING: There is ample seating, and the venue is ideal for large groups. PARKING: Parking is on the streets around the area. So it can be hard to find parking.

Yelp
My group and I stopped by Green Cheek after a golf tournament, hoping it would be a great spot to relax together after the holidays. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite of what we expected. From the moment we went to order food and drinks, one of the staff members (shaved sides haircut, working the counter) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She made us feel as though we were an inconvenience for simply being there. We came in as a large group and instead of being welcomed, we felt judged, rushed, and spoken to with clear frustration. To make matters worse, the food we did order was disappointing, overly salty, and they were out of pizza entirely. Because we still wanted to enjoy time together, we decided to order pizza for delivery instead. The same employee then proceeded to raise her voice at us, saying it was a "health code violation." If this had been communicated in a calm or polite way, we would have completely understood, but the way it was handled left everyone feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. We genuinely wanted this to be our new go to spot, especially for big post tournament gatherings, but after how we were treated, we will not be returning. Hospitality is everything, especially in a place that is meant to foster community, and unfortunately that was completely missing here.

Yelp
This place is great, awesome beer and food. They have a large selection of beer to choose from . For food we tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and blackened chicken sandwich that were cooked perfectly. They come with a side of fries, tots, or chips and salsa. Prices were decent. Service was good, the ambiance was chill, the inside was pretty spacious. It's definitely a great place to visit.

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries in Oceanside. They have a great variety of beers that they brew in house as well as a handful of beers from local breweries. The bartenders are friendly and provided great service. There is plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor section is great at night when the lights are on. They also have great food, I highly recommend the pretzel.

Yelp
Green cheek is a great place for a casual meal. I have been a handful of times and it's always has the a nice environment. Perfect spot for a meal if you don't care for getting seated and waiting to be served. The eating space is large with plenty of seating and multiple bars, and I love the view from the rooftop especially on a clear and sunny day. I like that they have vegan food options (even though I'm not vegan) and a large list of drinks that includes hard seltzers and not just beer for those who want something else! The Baja fish burrito I had last night was delicious and I really enjoyed the salsa it came with. The lavender lemonade hard seltzers is also a perfect level of sweetness and is easy to drink. Pro tip: they have a parking lot in the back behind Vital Climbing gym!
google avatar

Yelp
Bottomline, they serve some of the best Hazys in Southern California. The food looks pretty good coming out of the kitchen, but after a couple hazys, I didn't have any more room to partake.

Yelp
Green Cheek Beer Co. is a brewery and restaurant located next to the Tremont Collective. They have other locations, and it seems they currently do not brew the beers there even though all the tanks/equipment still can be seen through the windows. This is a huge place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There's 2 separate restrooms on opposite sides of the outdoor area. You can order from the inside or the outside bar. I highly recommend the chicken wings. It's $18. It comes with 12 large pieces, ranch and blue cheese dressing on the side, some carrots and celery. I tried the buffalo wings and was thoroughly satisfied. The extra plates, utensils, napkins and to go boxes are self serve. The service here is top notch. Folks there are friendly and hard working. I didn't even know the plates were self serve until one of the staff members brought it over to me and said I can grab more myself! It felt like a very welcoming environment, where the staff genuinely cared about the customers' experience. Overall, I'd love to come back for the chicken wings and the ambiance.

Yelp
Delicious variety of beers, seltzers and wine. Friendly service. Yummy food. This is such a good hang out spot. I frequent the one in sunset beach often, but this one is much bigger. My chicken club with added avocado was super good. Loved the tots and cheese sauce. My friend got a really good vegetarian salad - she was happy! Would definitely come back to visit if in the area!

Yelp
The Lavy Lemonade seltzer is just the best. Tried the Cobb Salad tonight. It was huge and came with soooo many fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back for both of these

Yelp
If you are looking for a good West Coast IPA, this is your spot. For sure the best WCIPAs in o-side. There are way too many breweries in o-side that just have all these fruity hazys and sweet junk, you cannot find any good beer beer. Literally every beer at Green Cheek is good. Lookin to get food, the smash burgers and tots are also pretty bomb!

Yelp
Got to check out this place with one of my colleagues. I have been here when it was Bagbys. I like that they have a private parking lot in the back for customers. They have a descent selection of beer and a few non-alcoholic items. My daughter enjoyed martinellis apple juice. We also enjoyed some French fries. I noticed they had 2 vegan items on the menu, one being a burger. I didn't get to try it this time around as we had just eaten but maybe next time. I liked that Bagby's had a lot more vegan items including some for kids. Oh well! You order and pay at the register and sit down until your buzzer goes off to pick up your food. Not much has changed in terms of seating. And it still seems to be popular for people with large groups. I would come back to have a drink and try the vegan items. It seems like a good place to hang out with friends.

Yelp
Very large restaurant with good food and quick service. They serve a perfect amount of food, not too little and not to a point where you've eaten too much. Fries are perfectly salted and crispy on the outside. Smashburgers are good (wish there were pickles), chicken wrap well done, fish tacos and chicken sandwiches were tasty. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
This place always has a good vibe. The service is always excellent. The beertenders are always kind and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about the beer they serve. The Summer G & T is great. It actually tastes like gin, but it's a seltzer. So it was weird when I took a sip and thought, "Wow, it does taste like gin." The Lavy Lemonade is always so refreshing. I also love the way it looks. It's actually a lavender color. I also tried It Just Works. It was a good IPA. It is so cold and crisp. People need to come and check this brewery out. 10/10!!!

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries to go to in North County! The brewery here is pretty big and spacious with some indoor seating and lot of outdoor seating. They do some events (like Trivia Night, etc.) so it can get sometimes slightly crowded during the night but it's never super packed, which is nice so you have a great time chilling herem They definitely got some good beer drinks here including their seltzers and other drinks. They also got some cocktails and wine selections as well so there are lots of options to choose from. They also got some real good food that are really fresh (like nice and hot straight from the oven) so it's nice to come here to have it with some drinks. They've also got a lot of cans that you can purchase to take with you home along with merch! The people here are also very friendly and patient so it makes even more worth to visit here! Definitely check out this place if you're in the area and want to have a great time with good drinks and food!

Yelp
Considering Green Cheek's Oceanside outpost has become 1 of my fave craft beer spots in all of SD County, I'd say a glowing review is long overdue. While Green Cheek's origins are in OC, they've proven to be the best possible successor to take over this craft beer institution that was once Bagby Beer Company. The venue itself is as good as it gets for around here. Multiple bars with multiple spacious indoor & outdoor service areas ensure there's a place to suit anyone's taste. Speaking of taste, there's a full kitchen. & while I haven't yet partaken, what I've seen come out of that kitchen looks delectable. The whole place is dog friendly. Oh, & they have their own parking lot. Yeah, for real. But, truly, the primary reason for coming to a brewery is the beer. For that, Green Cheek is top tier. Their focus here is more toward lagers, IPA's, & hazies. Their execution of these styles is consistently exceptional. Everything on tap I've ever tried has been great. Service has been top of things & friendly. If & when you're coastal NCSD in the mood for a beer, this is the best option

Yelp
I came out with a group of girls for a bday brewery crawl and this was our first stop. Firstly, this is a huge brewery, tons of seating and several bar tops. Our group got a nice sunny table on the roof which was perfect. The Guava in Berlin was definitely my jam. I wish I had gotten the beer tenders name because he was great. We enjoyed a couple drinks and moved on to the next spot but thanks for a great time Green Cheek.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
So glad Pally opened a location in SD county where we live. We go here often for one of the top breweries in SoCal and they keep cranking out new ones frequently and the 4 packs make a care package to takeaway and share with friends and neighbors. I love the large location here with multiple bars and huge open space in the back and the rooftop with good breeze and ocean peak. We've been here for trivia nights which is a great excuse to visit again. They have a parking lot in the back or you can find street parking (beware PCH parking is a little sketch as I've been people's mirrors get knocked off by traffic). Oh don't sleep on the smash burgers... they are super good and hit the spot after a bike ride to this location to enjoy a beer. I'll be back to drink while smiling
google avatar

Bridgette G.

Yelp
Had a craving for a burger so I got the double smash burger and accompanied it with the Lavy Lemonade seltzer and tater tots. There are different beer options for the varying pallets that come through here. Everything was very good and to our liking. The server with the cheeky padre inspired shirt was very thoughtful in helping us by thoroughly explaining the menu and the options. I love the open floor plan here. This time we sat facing the 101 as the breeze and fresh air was a bonus. We giggled at ourselves when figuring out how to lower our stools/seats so we could be at the perfect table top height. Looking forward to our next visit. Maybe to join in on a trivia night sometime.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Green Cheek since 2018, way before they ever set foot in Oceanside, but I digress. This location specifically, is my favorite brewery in all of San Diego county, hands down. The location, sheer space, vibes, customer service, and its proximity to the beach. Can't go wrong with Green Cheek Oceanside. I may be a bit biased since I'm a big fan of NEIPAs aka Hazy IPA'S, so if that's your thing, I'd definitely check this brewery out. They also have a nice array of seltzers if you're into that sort of thing. If you're hungry or get the beer munchies while you're here, they have a pretty small but mighty menu. I can personally vouch for the pizza & their battered fries, both outstanding.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
I was so excited to see Green Cheek had a location about 20 minutes from where I was staying last week, and had to check it out. There is a small parking lot next to the brewery as well as street parking around where the brewery is . I had no trouble snagging a spot on a Friday afternoon. Surprisingly this location is larger than it appears and there is plenty of seating inside outside near windows, etc. As well as plenty of bar seating. I ordered at the bar and then found a seat by the open window area looking out on the street. I ordered four different taster sizes for a flight and the tater tots (not the loaded ones), with a side of cheese sauce for dipping them in. I'm a huge IPA fan and all of the beers that I ordered were delicious . The tater tots were perfectly crispy and VERY generously sized. They also have takeout boxes next to the bar so if you don't finish your food, you can easily bring it home which is what I did. They also have four packs available in the fridge to go but fairly limited selections compared to the menu of beers they have on tap. I did pick up a four pack to go of a very tasty IPA. Looking forward to visiting again when I'm in the area and checking out more of the menu!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Great for large groups, babies, and dogs. The food and beer is always good, their fries are a particularly good crispy texture. Their cocktails are top notch for a restaurant brewery. This appears like a place that the staff is happy with their job.
google avatar

Viv G.

Yelp
The street parking here can be hit or miss, but the restaurant itself is a great place to meet with friends. It's an order-at-the-counter and open seating kind of place with a lot of varied (mostly outdoor) seating options. Dog friendly! Lots of great beer options and decent food- although the portion sizes are so-so. Food, including salad, is just served directly on metal trays. It was quite busy when we went on a Wednesday evening, so it seems they're doing decently well. Their computer system went down for a bit, which caused a front counter backup and (possibly) a food delay. Although from other reviews, I think the food might just take a while to come out.
google avatar

Emma W.

Yelp
Our favorite stop on the way to downtown SD! Green Cheek is one of our favorites in the OC but the Oceanside location is the best. From the staff to the amazing outdoor seating, its vibes can't be beat. Perfect day to enjoy a pretzel (best beer cheese ever) and a hazy IPA.
google avatar

Jacob E.

Yelp
Great place to host meetings for Networking. Excellent selection of beer and food. Great all around.
google avatar

Mallorie V.

Yelp
We stopped in here on our way back to Orange County from Legoland. The line at the front was long but we went to the back patio and were able to order immediately. The staff were super nice and able to make accommodations for my vegetarian kiddo. The food was delicious, service was fast and overall vibe was relaxed. There were other families, a group celebrating a birthday- overall a nice friendly crowd. We would stop in again when in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the best wings in Oceanside, they actually have some meat on them. The fries are amazing too. Definitely coming back! Beer was good too!
google avatar

Jaclyn F.

Yelp
Quickly became a local favorite! My partner is a craft beer aficionado but I am a beer weenie so the lavender lemonade is my go-to and it's a crowd pleaser! My friends always ask for it when they come over :)
google avatar

Joseph Rebelo R.

Yelp
Food: 9.1/10 (wings, smash burgers, salads) Atmosphere in their banquet hall: 9/10 (8+ tables for 6 people, also long table for 18 people) Hosted my sales team here for roughly 15 people and it was a great experience. Spacious, attentive staff, and just a great layout to host people. I normally come here on the weekend for a smash burger and beer but in this case I came for work. Would 100% recommend hosting people at their banquet hall. Ideal for breakout groups.

Yelp
Next time we'll try the white pizza!
google avatar

Yelp
We had different beers & seltzers. I especially liked the Pilsner. We didn't have food this visit but took a look at the menu & have been told the Cobb salad is mighty tasty Next time! Very spacious spot with inside dining & various patios outside.

Yelp
How did I not know about this place??? Omg can't wait to come back- I think I dreamed about their burgers!!! Great vibes- lots of seating- the lavender lemonade was amazing and so was the Paloma! We tried several menu items for dinner and all were good! Can't wait to come back in summer too for some fun times
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! It was mine and my family's first time in Oceanside and we came to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. This place is HUGE. Plenty of seating indoors, outdoors and around the side too. There are two bars, one inside and one outside. You can order food and drinks from both and seat yourself. We all sat outside and ordered a couple flights. The beers were so good! Highly recommended trying the double IPA's. We also ordered some small bites. The tater tots, pretzel and burger were all good! Definitely coming back again whenever I'm in the area!

Amy W.

Yelp
Incredibly knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend their brown ale, "Shhhhhh...This Is Ryan's Award Winning Brown Ale", a malty well-balanced English style beer. And their double smash burger is packed with flavour and to die for!!!

Bianca J.

Yelp
One of the better pretzels I've had from a brewery in a while. The cheese and mustard were a really nice addition. And it was nice and fluffy, easy to break apart.
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
We had our co-ed baby shower here and had so much fun! The staff was wonderful and so welcoming, and so helpful with everything. We're so happy with how easy it was to plan, and had great feedback from our guests as well. We'll definitely be coming back! Me particularly, as I want to try some house brews once this baby is here!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
Everything we love about Green Cheek in Costa Mesa but in a bigger location with a bigger food menu. Extra plus is that they have their own parking lot across the street. There was already a line when they opened. Easy to order food and drinks in one line. It can get long but as long as you know what you want, it should go quick. You get a buzzer for your food to pick up on the side of the bar where you order. Dog friendly space everywhere. There's so many options to sit inside or outside and on the roof. Rooftop is small though. There is another bar outside but that was closed when we came so unsure what that bar serves. There was a tv outside that was off. Curious if they'll play a few games on it. Get a flight and their cheeky tots which is our go to. Beat the heat with their lavender seltzer if you're feeling a beer.
google avatar

Julissa S.

Yelp
Came here the other night for dinner and our server, Laten?, was so crazy knowledgeable! Had trouble deciding between a few beers and he asked what my normal style was and had great recommendations. Super friendly and made the entire experience a 10/10. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Arlene M.

Yelp
The food at this place is decent and the seating is nice, with different areas inside and out. I live down the block from this place and would order takeout several times a week except they for some reason refuse to take orders over the phone/internet so the only way to order food is to go there in person and order at the bar and then sit there for 20-30 minutes while they make it. I rarely go to this place because unless I want to eat it there, it's not worth the long wait. The wish they would join the 21st century and start taking orders in advance: I am sure I'm not the only business they are losing because of this weird antiquated policy!
google avatar

Randi B.

Yelp
We are huge fans of Green Cheek's beer and all their locations, so yesterday we drove down to Oceanside to check out their newest place. Loved it! What a gorgeous setup they have here, this place is massive! Tons of seating indoors and outdoors, multiple bars to order from. They have cocktails too, which is awesome! The food menu is similar to their other locations, but this one has pizza, yum! My husband had a pepperoni pizza, I went with a Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and we each had a beer. Food was ready pretty quickly, even though they were incredibly busy. My chicken sandwich was super tasty, the fries with it were delish. His pizza was GREAT, awesome sauce and crust. It was also very large for one person, he brought a bunch home and ate it today. This is by far my favorite location of theirs, I wish it wasn't so far from my house. Definitely check it out! They have a huge parking lot so there was no issue with finding a spot.
google avatar

Shaundra N.

Yelp
This place was great! I loved all of the different, open seating options, fun patio seating areas and game area. There are a few different bars to order food and beers from and one that just does cocktails. The lines would get longer at times, but they moved through them pretty quickly. We ordered a full variety of different bees and food items and really enjoyed them all! They don't have a huge food menu, but there's a little something for everyone and we ordered it all and we're not dissapointed. The beers were all so dang good too! We ordered blondes, hazys, IPAs - all of them, and they were all so good. Plus, the "bartenders choice" drink I ordered from the cocktail bar was, literally, perfection! She was a great mixologist who took her time to make a great drink, and I really appreciated it. Overall, great spot and can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Abraham A.

Yelp
We've got a Green Cheek near where we live, so we were stoked to stumble across this location on a recent getaway to Oceanside. Great beer selection, of course! And I'm going to stay that the pretzel here is in my top 3 favorite pub/brewery pretzels. Delicious!
google avatar

Ginger L.

Yelp
I know that this used to be bagby beer and I'm SO glad it is now green cheek brewery!! I've only been here once so far and we sat on the rooftop area. Enjoyed some nice, cold and yummy beers as well as some food. The food was good as well! You order your food and beer downstairs at the bar so the service was good from that standpoint. I will definitely be back to try some other beers and food!
google avatar

Grace T.

Yelp
So the hubs and I decided that we wanted to try this new restaurant. It's basically Bagby Beer under new management. It's a chill vibe to the extent that it feels like Macs with beer. There are lots of tables to sit. But due to the rain, the tables are also limited. They opened the place up. But did not run all heaters. It felt very cold today. Also, today, there were a few families with children running around. It definitely enhanced my feeling like this was Macs in disguise. You have to queue for your food. And there is only one POS at the front for order of the beer. One at the back, which is like a station with a mixologist - it has a full bar back there in the patio area. There, they serve limited beer. Apparently, there are usually 3 bars scattered around. But due to rain, the one in the patio was closed. You have to order in front and queue to order. They don't take ur orders at the tables. And they also don't deliver the food to u like Bagby did. After you order, they give you a little buzzer that vibrates once your food is ready. For starters, I ordered a Baja fish burrito with a 10 oz glass of beer- sandcastles in oceanside. The beer had an alcoholic content of 4.2%. It was quite the perfect pour and was light, and it had a full head. My husband ordered pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni and a 16 oz beer- modern traditions. They pour the beers for you, and then you get the buzzer to bring back to the table of your choosing. Once the buzzer buzzes, you have to make your way back to the front of the facility and get your food. Cutlery, napkins, and sauces are all available at the front. Also, even though it was like a fast food restaurant, it took the food very long to come. It felt like 30 min just waiting for the buzzer to ring. That said, let's get to the food. I'm going to say that I'm comparing it with the fish burrito i had at Bagby's before it closed. I had a great impression of the one before. This one- not as good as the one I had before. The fish in the Baja burrito was fresh but the batter itself felt like it was falling off. And it wasn't crispy. Also, instead of a piece of fish, it felt like fish nuggets throughout the burrito. I felt like I was getting odds and ends. I would prefer a single piece of fish in my fish burrito. Also, even though the fish was fresh, it felt like the fish was not marinated except for the batter. It tasted a little bland. The salsa was not as good as the one I had before. It tasted like ketchup with a bit of hot sauce in it. I have to say the chips are still pretty good. My hubby's pizza was pretty good and slightly burnt. We then tried the bar at the back. My hubby ordered a cadillac margarita and I ordered a vespa. I didn't like my vespa. It was very strong. It's a martini with a lemon peel. I didn't even finish it. With just half of the martini, I was buzzed. My hubby's cadillac margarita was not bad. One other point to note: There were tables that were no cleared after people left. That would affect their ability to serve more people Bottom line: Food is not bad. But with prices like this- I can actually go to another pub/ restaurant and get served without having to feel like I went to a fast food restaurant and having to wait 30 min for my food which I have to go collect and precariously balance and bring back to my table. Not too sure we will be back for a while Hopefully, they will change the system where you have to collect your own food. And also improve a little on the food.

Yelp
Happy to be at Green Cheek Beer in Oceanside. Long time fans of the original City of Orange location! Enjoy the beers and now they serve food. Soft opening started Friday 3/1/24 where beers are awesome but just be patient while they work on inefficiencies and kinks! Service at the bar but other than that you pick up your own food when the buzzer hits. No problem, beers are awesome! Have another while you wait for the food. Ambiance is nice and dogs are allowed. Whooo! When it rains, seating is limited. Looking forward to our frequent visits. We're Happy to be here!

Yelp
It. Takes. Too. Long. To. Get. A. Beer. Always has at this location. And the cheap stools need to go.

Yelp
Disclaimer: This is a brewery, beer first, food second, and food is offered...Therefore you wait in line to order at the bar, as breweries do. Of course this place is packed, its opening week and its green cheek. They dont seem to have a ton of staff, they just opened and again, it was packed, however every person I came across was polite and attentive. We, along with other guests took over a private dining area upstairs (that I dont even think was open to the public) to escape the rain and the staff was quick to accommodate us (thank you). Needless to repeat, this is a brewery therefore you should not expect full service at tables. We ordered a variety of food, pizza, fries, burger, cheeky tots, all were delicious. Did I come here for the food? No. Was it the best food Ive had? No. Was it better than the average bar and majority of other brewery options? 100%. I come to a brewery in hopes to eat somethinggg and was very pleased with their menu options and look forward to trying more as I know we'll be back. Kids ? Pet children ? Its perfect for kids and dogs, they have changing tables in the restrooms (which im always in shock with how few restaurants have these) and a nice patio area with room to play.

Yelp
Great beer. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating plus various food trucks throughout the week. One of our favorites.

Yelp
This is the second time we have tried Green Cheek and we sure are glad we came back! To be honest we were a little hesitant to try this place out at all. We had a terrible experience with Bagby, and have been avoiding this place since then. However, we thought ok lets finally try it. The first time we came the food was good, drinks were good but the vibes were "eh". Tonight, totally different story even with it being cold out. The food was amazing. The smash burgers were delicious-- there wasn't a bite left on our plates. The pretzel is pretty standard and delicious too. But what we really noticed this time was the vibes! They were playing dance edm music throughout the whole place and the energy was great. Lots of people dancing around when walking to their tables, and my daughter especially loved the music. It just made the whole atmosphere a lot of fun! We also discovered the great amount of seating options this time! We found the side patio and really enjoyed the heaters and that we could order food and drink outside. Came for the beer, stayed for the vibes. Can't wait to come back later!
