Green Cuisine in Stone Harbor is one of our favorite lunch spots. The food is always fresh and consistently excellent. Portions are generous, yet I never leave feeling overly full. The staff is friendly and upbeat, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The smoothies are fantastic, and the large menu offers a great selection of salads, sandwiches, and wraps. One of our favorites is the clam chowder—definitely worth trying. The casual, relaxed vibe pairs perfectly with the high-quality food, making for an enjoyable dining experience. Conveniently located at the corner of 3rd and 96th Street, it’s just a short walk from the beach. Highly recommended for a healthy and delicious midday break.

I look forward to the opening of this vibrantly healthy restaurant each summer. The staff greets you with smiles and the seats are spaced nicely apart. The decor is refreshing and reminds me of a lunch spot in Bali. The menu has a variety of foods and they are freshly prepared and tasty. The best Gluten Free Clam Chowder I have ever had! The nice touches like an extra bowl to mix your generous salads so nothing spills - a great toss can make the salad come alive. The fresh juices, smoothies and teas are terrific. Highly recommend this place if you are anywhere in Cape May County.

It was our first time here. It’s a bright place, lots of seating. There were a few more flies than we wanted to see or be around while eating, but overall a cute place. Quick and swift service, very nice servers and hostess, really good and fresh dishes. Quite the selection too.

And now I’ve gotten quite the addiction for it myself. One thing I can say with confidence is that you will always have fresh and healthy food Green Cuisine. I swear there has not been one time where the side of fruit hasn’t been ripe and ready. The New England clam chowder has always been another staple for my family. It is some of the best I’ve ever had, one of the best at the shore. Another “must-get” is the fresh squeezed orange juice. You will not regret it! If you’re looking for something lighter on your stomach, you have to come here. We usually come for lunch or dinner. The quality 30 years later! Absolutely love this wonderful restaurant.

I’m dreaming of the Cobb salad and felt a need to write this review. I have been coming here for years and stop in every summer several times. I always get the same thing although my family is more adventurous. When something is as good as the Cobb salad it’s worth coming back again and again. Additionally, the service is always friendly and the owner is a very nice gentleman. Thank you Green Cuisine!!

Such a cute place to eat in Stone Harbor. We visited this cafe a few times while we were on our trip and everything was excellent. All of the employees were beyond friendly. 😊 We loved the smoothies and fresh juices, but the food was great too!

Great dining experience. I loved my Garden of Eden salad with Green Cuisine House dressing. The dressing was excellent, and the salad was well-filled. There were many good options for salads. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful, and the presentation was excellent. You get what you pay for in the salads. 10/10 The clam chowder was good, 8/10. Nice sizable chunks of clam. Was a bit pricy for its size. The Healthy Bagel was also pretty good. It was rather expensive though. The cream cheese mixture with honey was the best part. The bagel was very fresh. 8/10 The grilled chicken sandwich was a bit dry, though my partner had everything removed from it so perhaps he is to blame. Calling it "grilled chicken" wasn't accurate though. It was definitely oven roasted. It was on the oven roasted section of the menu, however. 5/10 The service was excellent. Our server, Pat, was very attentive to our needs and helped explain parts of the menu on demand. Overall, I would go back, but I would not get the soup or bagel again due to the price. If you stick to main entrees instead of splurging like we did, the price isn't bad. I am quite interested in trying more of their salads and a smoothie.

Hear me out: one of Stone Harbor’s best restaurants/cafes, it’s just in quirky unpretentious digs. Why do I say this? The quality of the ingredients is a step way beyond the competition in the area. They use locally and ethically sourced meat/seafood, and are even Surfrider certified for the seafood! Incredible. We’re eating here a lot this week and the smoothies are all great. I think some folks may find the salads a little underwhelming but they’re still good and everything is fairly priced. I think sandwich territory is where most people will gravitate here and I would say that’s about correct. High marks, but especially given a location that does NOT prioritize quality ingredients, this place is a new gem. And it’s not even a hidden gem, it’s right on the main drag. Service is excellent and it’s not even crowded most of the time. You can dine in or carry out. The decor is nothing to make or break the review, but I would say it honestly undersells how good the food is. If that makes sense? And we aren’t done yet: love to see the compostable straws and smoothie cups! Im sure other spots nearby are still stuck on petrochemical plastics and styrofoam. But not here: they’re a step ahead at GC. Keep up the great work!

Green Cuisine has been my watering hole in Stone Harbor for years. As a vegan, I've found it tricky to get enough vegetables and protein while on vacation here, and the Garden of Eden salad (hold the cheese) and the Eggless Egg Salad (add avocado and a side of fruit) always hit the spot. The prices are a smidge higher than I'd prefer, but that's Stone Harbor for you. And to be fair, portions are pretty generous. Green Cuisine, I'm glad you're here.

This review is solely for takeout! I ordered the shrimp citrus salad and it was ready for me pretty quickly for pick up. I really enjoyed the salad! It was actually hard to choose one because I thought all of the salad combinations sounded unique and interesting. All of the ingredients were fresh and the shrimp especially tasted high quality. I had the tomato house dressing - I love that all of their dressings are homemade. This place is a must try if you're looking for a great clean option in Stone Harbor.

For years I have been wanting to give this a try, but it just didn't appeal. Decided to have lunch there as not much else open in April. The inside is well decorated with the green theme and clean. The hostess and server were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Portions are large and options are pricy, but it is the shore. I started with today's special NE clam chowder - it was very good. My wife had the ham and cheese croissant (pretty basic), which she requested warmed. She really enjoyed it and took half of it home. Most of the menu items have variations on standards with ingredients you would not normally expect. After much thought I decided on the chicken salad pita with a $2 upgrade to homemade potato salad. It was a big disappointment. The potato salad didn't have much flavor - very bland. A huge pita, but the chicken salad was dry without much flavor either, and the chicken meat seemed previously frozen. It was combined with orange, which I thought would be ok, but didn't enjoy in practice. Oh well, we tried it.

Everything Homemade and So delicious. Crab quiche was so delicate and full of crab. My guy loved his Nova Lox on Rye toast. Friendly Staff. Easy 5 stars

This place is a gem ! The food was so good and, more importantly, fresh. On our last visit, we made a point of having several meals here. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Always so fresh and friendly staff. A little bit pricey, but consistent with prices in Avalon and Stone Harbor. I have been coming here since I was a child during the summers and I find myself craving their fresh fruit in the middle of the winter.

After my experience at Green Cuisine and reading the reviews, I don't think the owner, John, is understanding the areas of his business that require much improvement. I recommend, instead of running around like a chicken without a head, he should keep staff focused, and identify the immediate needs of the customer. Instead, he is not utilizing any management skills. Customer service: We were not greeted by server... in fact, we were told to take a table. Server did not provide menus until I had to wave her down... after placing our order, I asked specifically for certain side (dressing for my salad) when the food came... no dressing and had to wait, again, until I had to wave the server down... really can't eat salad without some dressing. Oh, and had to get up and ask the server for utensils. When I did get the dressing, it tasted awful. I was so frustrated and loosing my patience. I returned my WAY OVER priced salad! John apologized profusely but I felt it was an "act" to coverup the inefficiency of his business. I thought he was rude when two customers came in at 7:55pm and told them that the restaurant is closed! The customers stated that it was before 8pm. Turning customers away. So, in short, the service stinks, the food was nothing special and wayyyy overpriced! Being in business for this long, they have not excelled even a niche business. The atmosphere is sandwiched shop at best but doesn't warrant the prices on the menu. Two shrimp cocktails, chicken sandwich and shrimp salad... $96...no thanks to a second chance. We are residents and love trying new restaurants but this one is a bust!

Good healthy foods--good service and friendly staff. Not fancy but nice/casual and a popular spot for locals and tourists.

Had a very tasty salad with a wide variety of fresh veggies and topped with excellent homemade dressing and 4 chilled shrimp. Very friendly and attentive waitress as well. Perfect lunch in my book!

Let me open up by saying that I hate cash only businesses. In this day and age you must be kidding me- but I've come here for years so I get it. The last couple times I've been here I've waited for quite a while to have a server approach the table or even acknowledge me. Things were no different this time. When our server did arrive she was pleasant enough and our food came out pretty fast. We ordered a shrimp pita and it was loaded with shrimp but was very heavy on the mayo. Fresh pineapple, blueberry and an orange came with it. I ordered the California sandwich on multi grain bread. It was delicious and had sprouts, avocado, peppers, mushrooms & sunflower seeds. It was delicious. I got 1 strawberry, blueberries, and a piece of orange. The quality of the food was great! So were the portions. The server did check back w us, so that was a plus. What didn't I like? *The server gave the check and never even offered dessert. *The girl at the register seemed miserable, didn't ask how anything was, nor thank me. No smile, no energy. You're young, you're pretty, what could be so bad in your life?! *Also my daughter has been trying now for four years to get a medium sized t shirt in a nice color with "Green Cuisine" and again they didn't stock mediums for the season. I just don't get why you wouldn't want to offer this to customers. Especially in the peak of the season. I've been coming to Green Cuisine for years now & I do love their menu, they have many luscious menu items. but I may try Yvette's as their reviews have been aaaaamazing!

What a hidden gem at the corner of 96th and 3rd! Healthy delicious breakfast and lunch options, fresh juice, great service and very clean venue. So happy we discovered them!

Been coming for years and they are still on the mark I'm happy to report. Had the chicken salad sandwich on multi grain and it was fantastic, and the tabuli salad is still great. New owner of a couple or 5 years has it back on top, which is not easy during these trying times.

Yum! This was a great lunch takeout spot. I had the chicken salad pita with sweet potato chips as well as a strawberry banana smoothie. Food was ready to be picked up quickly and service was great- no complaints.

Ordered 4 salads and a sandwich from the menu for takeout. 2 of the 4 salads and the sandwich were TERRIBLE. Both had onions even though we requested no onions on both. Both were drenched in mandarin oranges and the juice. The salmon was cold, sliced (?), looked like chicken and was inedible. We asked for feta on both and neither salad had any cheese on it. But we were charged for all the extras anyway. The chicken sandwich was tiny and had no taste. $120 for 4 salads and a sandwich. SO disappointed in Green Cuisine. We have been coming to Avalon and Stone Harbor for 35 years and that was one of the worst takeout meals we have ever had.

Green cuisine has been one of my favorite restaurants in this seashore town. The fruit is always fresh. The quiches are always delicious and the smoothies are outstanding, especially the health nut John the owner he is a great guy. He takes his time in getting to know his customers. Yes we had a very nice conversation with him over our dinner of crab quiche. By the way, the crab quiche is to die for again this is one of these small but delicious restaurant in Stone Harbor if you are into health or not in the health, this is a must

Honestly been going here for years the last two times I've been there I thought it must of been a bad day... I was wrong I got take out today and waited like 50 minutes, which wasn't a big deal. Got home and opened up the salads there was barley any Greens and a few tiny slices of Turkey. I won't be back at the place, make sense now reading the most recent comments below seems to be not what it used to be. The price is not worth the recent product they have leaving the kitchen ashamed.

My friend brought me and my sisters to the Green Cuisine years ago for healthier food down the shore. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 3 years ago and remembered the Green Cuisine has gluten free food options on their menu. The gluten free wrap is the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. Great food and great smoothies! I look forward to coming here at least once each summer.

Awesome experience ! Did lunch with a friend recently and we were so happy With our food and service! Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazingly fresh! I ordered the eggless egg salad on whole grain bread with a side of fresh fruit salad and my friend ordered the Cobb salad. Both were fantastic! Our server was friendly and helpful.

I like everything about this place. The food was great. Service is super friendly and helpful. They are very happy people here and want to interact with you to make sure you enjoy your time. The grilled chicken was delicious and the coffee always good. Will definitely be back.

I came across this place in my search for vegetarian friendly options in the area. The restaurant has some good options but it is a bit overpriced. There are smoothies, salads, and veggie burgers to choose from, so plenty of healthy choices.

If you're looking for not-so-heavy fare on the island, come to Green Cuisine. Located on the Main Street (96th street), this restaurant offers healthy foods with a price tag to match (but really, you're at the shore!). They offer delicious salads, smoothies and soups (haven't tried the sandwiches) that are fresh and yummy. If you have any gluten allergies, they can let you know what works for your lifestyle.

Came here after a nice outing at the zoo. Only too see animals in the food as well ! The food came out pretty quick. But once it got to the table there was roaches in the chicken sandwich. Once I bought this to the attention of the person at the register, he at first responded by sternly saying " no .. noo" and then proceed to apologize. The reason I am leaving this review is because only an apology and explanation was given. The meal it self wasn't eaten. No one offered a comped meal or even a small percentage of the check taken off. The place was full had we made a scene I bet things would have been very different. A person at the table did not eat and everyone else was scared to do so as well. I believe many wrongs were committed , the checking of the veggies prior to drop off , the disbelief of the guest , and the disregard to customer satisfaction from lack of accountability and accommodation. The check was $80 .. organic with roaches ... what a shame...

Best lunch of our vacation! I had the cobb salad and it was really the ideal version of this dish. Perfect. Delicious. My wife loved her sandwich and the smoothie she had. Waitress was so attentive and charming. Wished we had had an opportunity to have a 2nd meal here - it was that good. Highly recommended.

If you want healthy vegetarian/vegan style food this works. Not the best but pretty good.

Green Cuisine is delicious, and has great fresh salads, wraps, and smoothies. But I don't think it's worth the price. $14+ for a typical salad before adding chicken is ridiculous, even for Stone Harbor prices. Would go back if I was in a pinch, but there are plenty of other places to get equally good salads that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Wow! I got the Garden of Eden salad. It was so plentiful I had a hard time finishing it! Delicious I'm vegan and gluten-free and they had many options to choose from. All the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back

My fiancé and I shared the tuna melt, which was delicious! I also had a banana mocha smoothie that was pretty good! The service staff was extremely friendly. It was very clean but wished the place used nicer plates and glasses for a better vibe.

I absolutely love this place. They have delicious smoothies, over the rainbow being one of my favorites. I also love the Caprese salad there in the summer. I highly recommend this establishment as they are one of the cleanest and friendliest in town.

I love that this healthy eating option exists at the beach. When being faced with wearing a bathing suit sometimes one wants more healthier options than pizza and burgers. Had a delicious wheat germ smoothie that provided me with the perfect amount of energy for my bike ride home.

8/12/2016 Such a pleasing experience! Wonderful environment, as well as staff. I got a Vegan-Gluten Free Bistro Burger and my significant other got an Egg-O pita! Delicious!! I wish there were more places like this all over so I could eat as great of food as I did here, such a variety and there's something for everyone!! Super great healthy food. Salads are awesome very fresh.

Green cuisine was a disappointment, even though the reviews were favorable. We waited too long to order and 15 minutes. It was 20 minutes until our food came to the table. The funny thing was being a Monday afternoon at 2pm with at least 6 empty tables and there was a pile of help in the kitchen. Food was nominal at best. If you are looking for vegan, ok. If you are looking for service, go elsewhere. I hope you find this review helpful.

FINALLY a restaurant in the Stone Harbor/Avalon area worth going to! I was hesitant to try Green Cuisine due to my sacred vow as a meatatarian. However, my healthy girlfriend dragged me along. Well, I am glad I came! Everyone was correct. The Health Nut smoothie alone makes it all worth coming here. I ordered the closest thing I could find to meat, which was their special of the day: a crab cake sandwich. The gf had the eggless egg salad and loved it. I'm pretty sure I also got my whole day's serving of fruit from this one meal. Our server was so sweet. A little pricey (what isn't down this way), but well worth it. P.S. They have a smoothie happy hour Monday-Friday. Please get the Health Nut!

I heard about this place from a woman at work who told me that the tuna salad here was really good, so I decided to try it. Turns out, this is the best tuna salad sandwich I've ever had. I get it on whole grain pita with fresh fruit on the side. The fruit is always ripe like it came straight from the farmers market. 10/10 restaurant I go there everyday on my lunch break.

The Green Cuisine continues to be a favorite in town for healthy eating. The new owner has continued some fine traditions, and has added the ability to take credit cards, which is great. The salads to go are always enough for two meals.

So I'm the only veg person in my family, so they always end up getting some sort of seafood place where the only thing I can eat is a baked potato, so I was so excited to realize that Green Cuisine has been here the whole time without me realizing!!! I got a wrap and smoothie last night and it was delicious! I'm very sad I hadn't realized this years earlier!! Would 110% recommend for veg folks!

We love this place bc it is one of the only places you can find real healthy food. I love that that have gluten free bread. All ingredients are very fresh and healthy. Everything is so wonderful. They even have iced mint tea, so if your tummy is off from junk food this is the place to go. The turkey is delicious. Gluten free options available - restaurant will work with you. GF bread/wraps, but call ahead to make sure.

My boyfriend took me here on a surprise lunch date--free food never hurts, right? The interior is very charming, with green leaves painted on the walls. The menu has a large variety of vegetarian options, complete with all kinds of salads and wraps. It is a nice change of pace from the usual unhealthy "vacation" food. I ordered the Avocado & Brie Pumpernickel Sandwich. It was served with a fruit garnish and was very fresh and delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Greek Wrap, which was equally scrumptious. The prices were great. The reason this place gets 4 stars, instead of 5 stars, is due to an odd service mix-up. We wanted regular table service but the hostess directed us to the counter to order. We assumed this was customary practice. However, when no one appeared at our table, and we waited for quite some time, we realized we had been sent to the take-out counter and the servers were waiting for us to come get our food. Why would they assume take-out, and why would they fail to let us know the food was ready either way? Regardless, I would probably come here again if I was looking for a light lunch or dinner. I would love to try one of their smoothies--they looked amazing.

The smoothies at Green Cuisine are absolutely amazing--perfect for a light breakfast, afternoon snack, post-workout drink, or healthy dessert! My personal favorite is the "Health Nut", which is vanilla yogurt, milk, peanut butter, banana, protein powder, and honey. Delicious! I have never tried the food here, but I have looked at the menu, which has some great options for those who don't want the unhealthy food the shore usually offers. I will have to try the food soon! Take advantage of the take-out option! I usually like to place my order over the phone, pick up my smoothie, and sip it in town so that I can people-watch ;) Not a fan of the interior, which looks like it is stuck in the 1980s. Also, NO CREDIT CARDS!!

Pleasant restaurant and great vegan options overall, but was not too happy with the quality of the acai bowls I ordered, which ended up being around $9 per bowl. I was expecting that at least the smoothie base would be blended properly, but it wasnt-- there was a solid block of frozen acai in the center of my bowl.

We took our toddler to the Cape May County zoo and wanted a nice lunch. This was a 15 minute ride with plenty of street parking and also public lots near by. Food was delicious and fresh. The fruit was so tasty. Nice healthy kid's options. This is also a few blocks from a public library with a nice children's section and a short walk to the beach.

I was pretty excited to order from Green Cuisine. I'm a huge fan of a chicken Caesar salad and this place made claims on the menu of having roasted red peppers included on theirs. So I finally got around to ordering the salad for take out only to get an extremely sparse salad in a large container with no roasted red peppers. For over 16$, I felt like I had been robbed! I'm awarding three stars simply because the chicken on the salad was indeed pretty delicious. I'm one to give our second chances, but Green Cuisine blew it when I walked in the unlocked door at 10am to find out they weren't open yet. So why is the door unlocked, is my question? Safe to say, I won't be back!

Love the over the rainbow smoothie! Good salads and sandwiches, I really like how you get sweet potato chips or fresh fruit. Avocado and brie is simple but delicious. Good for groups, but a little slow.
