The property itself is stunning, and the owner’s BBQ lesson was both informative and entertaining. The team cooking lessons in the Cottage? Nonstop laughs and a night to remember! And the food… lord have mercy—pure perfection. The brisket was straight out of a dream, the collard greens slapped, the red coleslaw hit in all the right ways, and that chocolate pie? Unreal. I’d make a trip to Nashville just for an afternoon at the farm. If you’re in town, don’t miss this place—you might even spot some country royalty!

This is an amazing gem just outside of Nashville! What a beautiful venue and farm store! We had the pleasure of participating in their Spring Market and enjoying the grounds. The staff were all so kind. The entire space was so clean. The quality of the produce, plants and products was simply wonderful too! Can’t wait to go back and pick strawberries next time!

This is a hidden gem in Nashville! Place is beautifully maintained, super friendly people. Amazing organic vegetable and fruits, many different processed food - honey, preserve and other things. We have been to strawberry picking, sunflower event and few others. All brilliant events. It's a go-to place!

Lovely place. I've passed by here many times and never stopped. But today, even though it's winter and I didn't expect a lot of produce, my sister and I decided to visit. I'm so glad we did. We got Kentucky butter cake, pickled pork rinds, chocolate-covered pretzel sticks, and some homemade marshmallows. I wasn't in need of pickled vegetables, but I will be buying some in the future. The sweet lady behind the counter was very accommodating and pleasant. I do recommend stopping here if you happen to pass by. I can't wait to come back in the summer.

I photographed a wedding at Green Door Gourmet in 2019, and was blown away. Between the garden, the porch, the reception space, and the wide open field, there was never a shortage of spaces to take beautiful photos. This wedding was before the pandemic, but the outdoor arbor has plenty of space for guests to spread out if needed. The bridal suite has plenty of space for all of the girls to get ready, and same for the groom's suite. We brought the couple into the shade behind the reception space for their first look before taking photos in the sunny garden. If you're looking for a unique wedding venue close to Nashville, I highly recommend Green Door Gourmet.

It was a lovely venue for a wedding. So beautiful outside for the ceremony with the trees in the background. The barn is were we had the reception in which was perfect because it is beautiful inside and enough room to fit tables and have a dance floor. The staff was great about serving the food and being super helpful. It is a beautiful place.

Greendoor is an amazing place to visit and explore. Seasonal activities like strawberry picking and the sunflower field photo op make for exciting family-friendly outings. Their season box and flower subscriptions are excellent too — a tremendous amount of food for an amazing cost! My daughter's class took a field trip there that was just as fun and education for me as it was for the kids. And the store is filled with tons of local and regional products you won't find at your neighborhood grocery store. From hot sauce and kimchi to cheese, bread and more — it's a wonderful place to purchase items for your own kitchen or as gifts for others.

Green Door is one of those hidden gems you don’t want anyone to know about so they’ll stay a hidden gem!!! 😁 Throughout the years I’ve attended special events at Green Door’s Barn as well as bought vegetables, pumpkins and jelly’s at their grocery. This year while walking around the big retailers looking for pumpkins and seeing ridiculous pricing I decided to drive to Green Door. WOW!!!! what a selection of pumpkins, flowers, a variety of gourds, white pumpkins etc.. all at great prices!!! Not only did I purchase multiple pumpkins and gourds to decorate the front door I saved money!!! AND the blackberry jelly in the grocery ….is as close to my mothers that I have found. ❤️

Searching for grocery stores on my phone, Green Door Gourmet popped up on the other side of 40 and the edge of Bellevue. It is a farm and event space with their fresh and other TN-sourced food conveniently sold in their homey market. It reminds me of and gives me the quaint shopping experience familiar to my older family members.

This is a really wonderful hidden gem in Bellevue. It has the feel of a nice local market with farm to table ingredients, but you really feel like you can purchase many foods you actually need for the week. The vegetables are incredibly fresh and are grown on site. Very friendly staff. Lots of locally made artisan ingredients, including bread, honey, chocolates, etc. The towels are hilarious. The little gift packages of bake your own goods would make a perfect gift! We will plan on checking out their CSA. And the outside of the market area is so gorgeous. You have to check this place out.

Green Door Gourmet is perhaps the most unique shop I've ever found in my 30 years in Nashville. Located in Davidson County on a quiet road that parallels the Cumberland River, a visit to this charming general store transports one to the country without ever leaving the city limits. It should be a rite of passage for every Nashvillian to visit! This is so reminiscent of the little farm stores I've visited around Maine, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky, fully stocked with products straight from the farm and treats from local businesses. You'll find at least 30 flavors of jelly made there, fresh produce, and trinkets of all types. You'll also find local delights from other producers like delicious pies, loaves of bread, four flavors of cheese curds, and pork products. They even have difficult to find Frostie root beer!

Green Door Gourmet feels like a best kept secret of west side Nashville, neighboring Bellevue. We visited the farm store and we're not disappointed by the pickles, pies, and fresh produce they had to offer. I learned from the cashier they also have some really friendly deals on u-pick vegetable and fruit deals during the year. I believe there's also a farm box you can subscribe to for fresh produce at regular intervals, including seasonal items. I think this is the perfect entry for anyone local looking to visit a farm nearby without the commitment of an hour or more drive to another farm store. We happened to meet the owner in his truck, and he was incredibly lovely. There's also a barn venue for weddings that you can rent out. Lovely local business with quality goods.

Went there to pick up my favorite bread. It is a wonderful little store with a very friendly staff. First visit they made me feel like I had been coming in for years.

When a fun farm area in Nashville!! They consistently have events posted to their site, though I have personally been for strawberry picking and to see the sunflowers. Each time I browse through the general store to find something yummy to snack on, and walk across the garden grounds. I enjoy seeing the chickens and bunnies around back. When the weather is nice it is fun to sit outside on a bench and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds. Green Door Gourmet also makes for a great venue setting, as they offer lots of parking and lots of land.

I was super impressed when I originally visited but then tried the honey I purchased and it's incredibly viscous and almost tasteless. The onions I purchased were both rotten inside though the outside had no indication. And the peppers I bought spoiled the very next day. I am still excited about their baked goods and some jarred products but am now skeptical of the produce and will not buy honey again.

This market attached to a farm has a variety of local produce and preserved and prepared food items, as well as doing CSA boxes and trees. I actually came because they carry some niche Carolina brands as well. The place proudly proclaims that because of their farm status, they don't have sales taxes on things they carry, but the prices will be plenty high enough without them. Having said that, if you want some really premium locally themed food items, this place has a nice selection, and I found several things I thought worth trying.

Beautiful property. Wonderful space. Great selections of products that range from farm fresh local veggies meats baked and bottled goods. They also have some great frozen snacks that are also lovally made and sourced. The BIGGEST DOWNFALL of this place is that it does not accept SNAP which is sad and limites those who have these benefits from having farm fresh local option. I was highly dissapointed because even vendors at the Nashville farmers market take that as a payment. I wish more places like this cared to consider applying to accept SNAP so that all people have equal access to wholesome local options.

GDG continues to be one of my favorite places in Nashville. This organic farm is so cute and has the nicest people who work there. I decided to sign up for their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) box for the week ($27.00). The local farm box was so loaded that I not only had a box full of items but a reusable bag full of stuff as well. I found that early November is actually a perfect time to get a huge box of stuff because it is between the Fall and Winter veggies so there is a great assortment of items. My box had the following: -3 lbs of either sweet potatoes or potatoes (or mixture of both) -1 bunch of kohlrabi -1 squash or pie pumpkin -3 apples -4 turnips -head of lettuce -1 bunch of arugula -1 bunch of red lettuce/chard (can't remember which one) -3 green tomatoes -1 bunch of bok choy -2 beets -head of broccoli -head of cauliflower Yes, ALL THAT! I was amazed too. This will last for a couple of weeks of cooking so will save me multiple grocery trips as well and then I know I'll be using really great produce which is seasonal. Also, one of the employees was so helpful. I had never seen kolhrabi (okay sometimes I feel like I live under a rock) so I asked him how to cook it or what to make with it. He gave me several suggestions. After I got my haul I decided to go back to their farm store since you get a discount there when you buy a CSA box. This little store has some fantastic items. They have gifts, baked goods, beverages, body care, dairy, dry goods, produce, jams/jellies and more. I ended up getting GDG-made apple butter, orange blossom honey and a candle. I love the store and I love my farm box!

Green Door Gourmet is a treasure find. One of the best farm experiences right inside Nashville. The fresh food really makes a difference in cooking and the experience of going to the farm is always a memorable one. Highly recommend!

Just a bit disappointed in how expensive everything was. They do have local vegetables, bake goods, drinks and a deli that sells sandwiches ,cold pastas and salads . They do have strawberry picking during the spring and that's at. They have chickens and bunnies Eggs are expensive.

Wow! What an amazing experience! We enjoy looking around the grounds and shopping in the store! Bring a cooler! They have some of the best produce, meat, and drinks!!! We will be back! Their strawberries are so sweet! We wish we would have bought all that they had just picked! This is also a great place to buy gifts for family and friends!

Love places like this. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I came for the raw organic honey that comes in the White container left of the cash register. You can buy a box of organice veges there too. Seems like a great place for Nashville. I have not been to a venue there, but saw people getting ready to. All the employees were super helpful and I would definitely come back. It is a great place to try and the Honey is worth the drive alone.

One of the few places to shop I get excited by. I take the kids, let them pick out the farm to table food they're going to be complaining about eating and then go look at rabbits and chickens which they'll probably be complaining about. Nice little playground outside. Whole area is pretty good to stroll around. Plenty of event space should you be wedding here. They take phone tap to pay also which was unexpected.

I am speaking to this place as a wedding venue. Having myself worked at a similar rustic barn style venue myself, I can tell you that this really a stunning location with a great operation. I attended both a wedding and reception here. 1. Location - it is close enough to Nashville to make it accessible, yet far enough away to give your own very private feel. 2. They do an amazing job with the operations it all, from the set up, to the lights, to moving the tables - very efficient 3. Space allocation is perfect, you have a split area for cocktail parties and a main area for the reception/weddings 4. It is well sized, so it gives you flexibility without making it feel crampt. Our wedding was a little over 100 people. 5. It looks classy rustic, while being clean and modern at the same time... bathroom says it all

Awesome place!!!!! Super easy to get to. Hours are Th-Sun 9-4. The market, the selection, the variety will be worth it alone, but the beauty and simplicity of the rural area, the fields, the flowers, the chickens, and the decorations, make it just the best place going for photo ops this fall. Don't go looking for hay rides, corn mazes, and crowds. Go for a simpler, real time. There's a small playground and lots of big grassy areas surrounded by shade trees to run around in.

It's so awesome that we have a local organic farm right here in Bellevue! And it's women owned. They have fresh organic produce, local farm eggs, local cheese and meat and other products. I'm so grateful that they are committed to local agriculture

So we are so excited to find this place-Finally a place to buy pastured meats and healthy eats! Under renovation 1/19 so meats are 10% off. Prices are high as expected but I don't want antibiotics or hormones from my food! Beautiful venue for weddings or events. Will be back weekly I'm sure

We went to a pickin night on a Wednesday. It was fabulous! We Got a ton of fresh strawberries, they had great music, and had a Hattie b's food truck. Such a nice change and fun thing to do then just going to a normal restaurant in the middle of the week. The property was gorgeous and they had the cutest little fresh market store. Amazing fig jam, and even the cutest soap that smelled amazing, i had to buy some. I will defiantly visit again. Great outing for the family.

Book your wedding or event at the Green Door Gourmet. My fiance and I looked all over Nashville trying to find the perfect venue within our budget for our wedding. Our last stop was the Green Door Gourmet- although t should have been our first. Let me tell you, the pictures do NOT do this venue justice. It was magical, spacious, open, clean, had a separate room for catering and cocktail hour, came stocked with lights, chairs and farm tables, parking, security, a bridal suite and SO SO SO much more. For us, it was everything we were looking for and then some. We met Allison (who was the BEST wedding contact ever) who gave us a tour, took time to answer all our questions and then was quick on responses even up until the day after the wedding. Allison and the staff at Green Door were there to help and it was obvious that they truly love what they do. I wish we could relive our wedding day over and over again at the Green Door because it was beyond perfect.

It was a Sunday morning & I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw a post from Nashville Lifestyles. The post said that Green Door Gourmet's self pick strawberry fields were now open. It was May 3rd, seemed a little early for strawberries, I thought that was a mid to late May deal, but we decided to head out their way & check it out. This was my first time out to Green Door Gourmet. I've seen posts from people on Instagram and Facebook and I've always wanted to come out here. I've seen a bunch of posts from their event space. I didn't get to see it when I was out there, but I'd love to attend an event out here. It's not that fair away from west Nashville. Once you're out here it feels like you're in the DEEP country. They've got signs along River Road so you'll know where to turn. When turning in, you'll see a sign that has the hours and also if there is a private event. They had a sign up saying that there was a private event, I'm not sure if it was leftover from the night before, but we were a little confused at first. They've got ample parking in the gravel lot and in a grass field. The market is in a small, cabin like building. The event space is a large, barn looking building with glass doors. Inside the market you'll find a plethora of different Tennessee/Kentucky/local products. They've got local meat, milk, soap, veggies, fruit, jam, baking mix, bread, honey, you get it. The prices are what you'd expect for local, organic, non GMO, stuff. Strawberry Picking - I didn't really know how it went down. We went up to the counter and asked. We were told to sign a paper that released GDG (Green Door Gourmet) from any wrong doing. That paper also had your name on it so they'd know what name to call when it was your turn. Your turn? Yeah. The strawberry field is about 2 miles away, down a dirt road on the property. The girls at the front desk didn't tell us how long it would be. I figured it would be like ten minutes or so. No, it took an hour for our name to call. The vehicles that take you to the field is an SUV and a pickup truck. Fair warning, if you're an adult, chances are you'll be riding in the back of the pickup truck because the kids ride in the cab. It's fun to enjoy the country air though. They provide the baskets in the vehicle when you get to the field. One thing I noticed about GDG was the amount of rules and legal notices posted around the property. From the 'no trespassing' signs, to strictly enforced 5 mph speed limits, even play set rules, it feels like they've got a rule for everything. It makes you feel not very welcome. Once you make it to the strawberry field, you're given a 30 second crash course on how to pick them. The woman who drove our truck was very friendly. They've got two types of strawberries out there. The rows are wide. They've got plastic under the hay, so if you step over the strawberry plants into the next row, it can be a little slick. I think that it was about a week too early because a lot of the strawberries had white shoulders and bottoms. We spent about 45 minutes out in the field before catching the truck back. I wished they'd let you just walk the two miles (ish) journey. We arrived back at the market and got in line to pay for the strawberries. They girl a the counter put the two baskets in two plastic bags. I guess they ran out of the pint containers because they weren't using them like they were when we got there two hours earlier. Also, I thought they'd weigh the strawberries, but I guess they just go by a guesstimate. It was 12 bucks for two half full green baskets. I like the country location. I thought the strawberry picking was a little lackluster and didn't expect it to take 2 hours to do. I would like to attend an event out here, but all the legal posting signs and rules don't really make one feel welcome in my opinion.

WE picked up our first CSA box and wandered around the store a bit. They have a ton of stuff. Fresh jams, jellies, sauces, breads, honey, meat all at reasonable prices. Our box had Strawberries, , Hot house/field grown & hydroponic tomatoes , sparagus,Spring onions, Lettuce/salad mix , Sauté mix (a blend of chard and turnip collards perfect for sautéing) , Green garlic, Assorted fresh herbs(Lemon Balm, Basil, Rosemary, mint), the first of the yellow squash. We have use some of it already and man of man is it tasty. Skip your local supermarket adn come on down to the Green Door Gourmet. Will be back next weekend.

It's a farm in the city.* Making the drive northwest from south of Nashville, I wondered if the drive time was worth it. After all, I was spending a lot of gas money motoring around the metro. It was worth it. I'd had GDG on my to-visit for months and was psyched to have finally allocated the time to check it out. Upon first glance, it's smaller than I anticipated. Well, the store is. There's an attached event space and the grounds as large. But, I wasn't here for an event and at the time of my visit (early Spring) there wasn't much picking to be done. I suppose I could have wandered around to see what I could see but I wasn't much in the mood for that. I wanted a country store experience and that's just what I received. The time of year will dictate what's available for purchase. It might not be convenient but it's assured that you'll receive fresh everything. Plus, if you just can't wait to eat fresh fruits and vegetables, sign up for the CSA which is about the most flexible I've ever come across. There's a plan for a variety of budgets, habits and time tables. So, produce needs out of the way, time to focus on everything else. For the size of the store, I was very impressed with the amount and variety of products. I spied cured meats, bottled ciders, fancy drinks, soaps, pickles of all sorts, nuts, cheese, pies (frozen), candles, mugs, flowers, breads, chocolates, jams, cookies, teas, and all other manner of goodies. And all the products I saw were TN born and bred. I couldn't stop buying. I came in with the intention of buying some seasonal fruit to snack on on the way back to the city and i left with four bags worth of products. Befitting of a country store, I spent some time chatting with the owners. They were as friendly and lovely as you might imagine. In one fell swoop, I'd managed to get a small town experience without driving hours away from the city center. GDG had lived up to its billing. Upon return visits, I'd like to spend some time exploring the green space. The charm of the country is hard to beat but to get a good heaping of that charm without the logged miles just might be the way to beat it. I'll be back -- happily. *Well, Bellevue.

Wow!!! Strawberry picking at its finest right here in Nashville and so many more things to do things to buy and great ideas... very cool!!

I took the two homeschool kids that I teach here on a field trip during he school year last spring, and it was excellent! They had us join on a day that a private school was also coming so we could join in with several other children. They had four centers that were all really interactive and kid friendly. The kids got to use herbs to make their own soda, create and use a sun dial, create a beeswax candle, and create their own blueprint for a farm tool. I loved that it was so organized and hands on! If you are a teacher or parent, plan a field trip this fall today! After our field trip ended, we had a chance to shop in the store, which was filled with local jams, honeys, pickles, and other delicious treats! The produce was top notch as well, and I have been meaning to go back for some of the homegrown tomatoes because they were some of the best I've ever had! The only thing that has kept me from going back regularly is the location because I live on the east side. But considering it is such a large farm, we are pretty lucky to have this urban option at all! Drive just a bit off the Charlotte pike exit and you feel like you have been transported miles out into the Tennessee countryside!

Green Door Gourmet is a working farm, that in addition to selling their own items, gets home grown items from farms around the Tennessee area. They offer a weekly CSA box as well, with various vegetables and herbs. If you are looking for farm fresh that is literally farm fresh, this is the place to come. The prices are a bit higher than you'd see at Kroger, but the reality of this sort of farming is that its impossible for places like this to meet bottom line without paying extra. Quality is the name of the game here. The staff is friendly and will answer any questions you might have with a smile. The only downside is that they are a cash or check only business. In an age of iPhones and Square, I can't give them full marks. I do however recommend them, and make sure you bring a little extra cash just in case something catches your eye.

They have high-quality local produce and a great selection of local products including soaps, meats, snacks, and crafts. There is a good selection of organic and health products. Green Door Gourmet is my farm! Well, not MY farm, but my go to farm, I suppose. It's where I go for my CSA, fresh veggies and local foods. I've been visiting Green Door since 2010 and watched it grow from a small shed to a larger building that gives it a country grocery store feel. The best thing about Green Door's CSA is that you sign up for it weekly instead of making a huge commitment upfront. This appeals to me because there are weeks where we're not at home as much to eat all of the goodies from our CSA box or times where we can't make it out to the farm to pick up our box. It's what truly makes me want to be their customer. They also offer jams, jellies and pickles canned especially for them, as well as a co-op program to offer additional products from other local farms like Jolly Barnyard, Kenny's Cheese (AWESOME!), Gourmet Pasture Beef and West Wind Farms. It makes for a great one-stop shop to create an excellent meal. Green Door also has events throughout the year, so be sure to sign up for their email to find out when their events are or check out their Facebook or Twitter. I've recommended Green Door to many friends, so my fellow Yelpers need to get in on this action, as well :)

Went here on a Wednesday evening with three friends and we absolutely loved it!! They were having a special night with strawberry picking, bingo, and bar. Warning - we got there a little late and they ran out of strawberries to pick, but we still had a fabulous evening! The bingo was awesome, the ambiance was fantastic, and the people were very welcoming. Bingo and exploring were free! We even won some bingo prizes! Highly recommend!!

I've finally found a place to buy local, ethically-raised meat and dairy in Nashville. The farm store at Green Door Gourmet stocks local eggs, meat (chicken, beef, sausage, ground turkey, duck, pork, and more!), local cheeses, and even non-homogenized, lightly-pasteurized local milk in reusable glass bottles. The prices are premium, but you get what you pay for. This farm store is well-stocked, has plenty of parking, and accepts all major forms of payment. Eating locally couldn't be more convenient!

If you're looking for delicious REAL food, grown on an actual farm, then this is the place for you. If you want to sample some of the best of what local artisans have to offer in terms of REAL food, this is definitely the place for you. Located in Bellevue, behind (ironically) the Walmart, this is a fantastic haven of real homegrown goodness. Down a road that quickly becomes old-school country you will find this mecca of amazingness with acres of beautiful fields filled with great fruits and veggies and herbs waiting to be turned into nutritional meals. The people here are helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and excited about what they do and what they have to offer. You will pay slightly more for artisan items such as bread and real farm eggs than you might at a grocery store but it is worth it. They have a great seasonal selection of items and always have recipe ideas and even hold cooking classes for learning what to make with a veggie you may have never used (thank you for the introduction for spaghetti squash!). During the summers they offer the best CSA boxes in town, with the most bang for your buck. They do fundraising dinners and, if you are in the market, they have a lovely barn for events. Overall, this place is truly a fantastic local gem that lives the farm to table mentality and encourages a healthy lifestyle and the discovery of meals you may never have tried before.

Being brand new to the whole CSA concept, I checked out a few before I decided to go with Green Door Gourmet. The selling point was the weekly CSA option they offer, without having to commit to an entire season. We ventured out on Sunday to pick up our box. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. We told them this was our first time here and they were happy to help. Even my husband who is a skeptic, was amazed at the amount of fresh, beautiful veggies that we were taking home. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!!

I'd been thinking about a CSA for a while and finally went for it. Let me tell you: the Local Farm Box is life changing! Everything I've had is so fresh and delicious I can't help but get excited about eating healthier. It's all organic, and they tell you exactly where everything comes from. Plus they sell local kombucha in growlers, which is always a win in my book. The farm and the store are adorable, and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Just go there and see for yourself.

If you are looking for a flexible CSA program in Nashville, GDG is your place. I did the weekly CSA last season, and I can't wait for it to start up again. You only pay the weeks you pick up; there is no season long commitment. And the amount of delicious, local and healthy produce you get for the money is a real bargain. The owners and staff are very friendly. They always proudly tell me about the new items recently stocked in the farm store. I get eggs, milk and other assorted fun things from them even when the CSA isn't running. GDG is hands down one of my favorite places in Nashville. Coming from a desert state without a lot of farm land, I'm really grateful for the opportunity to purchase local produce directly from the amazing farmers at GDG.

GDG is the best, seriously! We wanted to dabble in the CSA world but we were worried about finishing all of the veggies with the preset boxes and not having it go to waste during vacation weeks. Then came along Green Door. They offer a flex box that you can order when you want. They send out the box contents on Tuesday and you can order through Thursday evening. We probably get one every two to three weeks. The CSA flex box has completely changed how we eat. To start I hated squash, HATED IT! Green Door turned that around because honestly I didn't want to waste it. Then i realized good fresh veggies taste better! I've made scrambles and soups. I also started to roast acorn squash and I really like it! We've knocked out lots of kale, made beet chips, incorporated swiss chard into our breakfast routines, stuffed peppers, make Italian breadcrumb tomatoes, and roasted potatoes. I can't get enough and I'm so glad they exist. For this last box we even got sunflowers! It makes out house so nice and homey. I cannot recommend them enough. You will feel happier and lighter within weeks. Plus, going out to the farm to pick up the box is a fun Saturday trip!

LOVE Green Door Gourmet! Lovely Farmers' Market with a great CSA program. Love that you can choose to buy a share each week, or opt out if that weeks' pickings aren't to your liking (cannot imagine this) or that you just have too much still at home to be able to use them all quickly. Very nice 1/2 bushel bag of fresh fruits and veggies for $27 - can't be beat! They have a large store with tons of artisan foods from which to choose -jams, pickles, sauces, rubs, beverages. Also fresh organic local produce with tons of varieties to choose from; they also have locally sourced organic meats, eggs, cheese, milk, as well as locally made farm-based products like lotions, soaps, seed bombs, candles, etc. Employees are friendly and helpful, but the store can get pretty crowded at times. When it's berry-picking season be ready for longer waits and much larger crowds. All in all, a very nice Farmers' Market and local organic CSA that also has accommodations for weddings and events. Do not miss a chance to see one of the very best Nashville has to offer - check out Green Door Gourmet, you will NOT be sorry you did!

I was excited to hear about this place and it wasn't far from me, so I ventured out on a Saturday morning. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The store itself is really cute and seems to have everything. I went for two reasons. I wanted to check out the store and browse. And I wanted to check out something called Soberbread which is locally made beer bread mix. The store is very well stocked. There is produce I assume is grown there as it is apparently a USDA organic farm. There are national brands like Annie's and some granola/trail mix bars that I always see but never remember the name of. They have a lot of local products. A lot. I found local granolas, pancake mix, oils, honeys, jellies, jams, meats, cheeses, soaps, bath products, soups, and on and on. While doing my first lap around the store I found a shelf of 40% off items and there was one Soberbread package on there, so I grabbed it regardless of the variety. It was a limited edition buffalo. Score!! My second lap I grabbed the cheddar green chile. I also got some GMO free cornmeal which always seems so hard to find, and it is from Tennessee. 3 pounds for $7 seemed like a great deal and even better than what I would find at Whole Foods. There were plenty of samples in the back of the store but we didn't try any. I will most likely come back to get food gifts and partake in the bulk honey which was $5.99/lb and you must bring in a sanitized jar. Once again a fantastic price. The lady who approached us in the store and asked if we needed any help was great. She answered all of our questions. The person checking us out, not so much. Kind of gave us the creeps and despite the HUGE neon green sticker on the bread she was still unsure if it was on sale.

I love this place. Beautiful setting, all kinds of great local handmade gifts, organic veggies, a play structure for kids ...... My two year old loves the giant tractors and I love everything else.

As a chef Green Door Gourmet is as good as it gets! My opportunity was on a late sunny August afternoon in 2011! They had just delivered all the CSA and had some amazing extras to fill my basket. The owner took great pride in telling me about the season's harvest including some of the past perfect efforts that had developed of a very dry summer. Very Helpful and very grassroots I really enjoyed my Farm stand to chef provisions opportunity and look forward to visiting the Green Door Gourmet store soon. LOVE LOVE LOVE GDG!! This place has the greatest selection for CSAs' around middle TN!! Organic, heirloom, and NON GMO produce offered! Not to mention yummy jams, local honey, handcrafted jewelry, cookies, desserts, eggs, meats, breads & the list goes on.. Friendly staff, fun playground area for the kiddos & great BBQ truck out front-YUMMY! Eat a sandwich on your way out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting this place on a Saturday or Sunday with your family! You wont be disappointed!!!

Green Door Gourmet is a must visit for anyone who wants to join a CSA without committing to the whole season, anyone who celebrates local food production, or anyone who is just looking for some amazing produce and other locally produced foods. The farm itself is pristine and beautiful, and the store is full of treasures. I have done the CSA box for the past two years, and can't get over the value. They have worked hard at making this a top notch business, and they have been wildly successful.

This place really has a lot going for it. It operates a small market for locally made food items (preserves, meats, cheese, etc.) as well as a weekly CSA in season. The CSA box is the main reason we go to the farm every week and is a great value for local organic produce. But we usually pick up something from the store as well, as everything we've tried is great. They often have samples of various items and even cooking demonstrations that tie in with the weekly produce.

Lovely setting (the farm fronts River Road and backs up to the Cumberland) and a wonderful CSA. The market is stocked with organic fresh produce, meats, flowers and lots of jams and sauces. They have special cooking events, family days and field days for kids. Oh and The Grange! The only barn venue I know of in Davidson Co. city limits and it's amazing and new and has everything you would need for a fabulous party. I had a large engagement party there and can't say enough great things about the venue and the staff. Sylvia Ganier was a dream to work with.
